Easy Chrome Brush or Spray on Chrome

hey everyone welcome to another episode of custom spray mods now in this video I'm going to be using the ALSA easy chrome you've probably seen the video online there's a black fuel tank and it's gloss black the guy in the video brushes the chrome on and it looks hazy and then it clears up and looks like real reflective proper chrome so I'm using that exact same product today so I've got the Alsa easy chrome base coat and I've got the easy chrome I'm also gonna try it in a spray can form and try it on a few different things I've got these plastic speed shapes I'm gonna do some testing on I've also got a push bike helmet motorcycle helmet I'm also going to use a bumper bar from a car like this I'm gonna paint that in the chrome and then compare it to a bumper bar that I've already got that's chrome we can see the difference from the painted chrome and the real chrome check it out so the first step to getting this awesome chrome painted finish is to get a great gloss black base coat the base coat needs to be gloss and dry so I'm going to spray these parts in a gloss black from this aerosol can then we'll move on to the next step I'm also going to apply the chrome paint to this bumper bar and I spray this push bike helmet in the chrome paint I'm also gonna spray this motorcycle helmet in the Alsa chrome paint now I'm gonna start preparing the bumper bar this is got a silver paint that's not too a good condition I'm gonna stand it with some 320 grit sandpaper on this machine then I'm gonna spray some 2k etch primer this is going to help my paint stick now I'm gonna spray some the ALSA gloss black base coat this is a 2 pack base coat so I've mixed it with hardener and that's gonna dry super shiny and glossy gonna be a good base for my chrome paint I've allowed the part to dry for about three days now Im ready starts spraying the top coat the easy chrome is ready for use that means just put it straight into a spray gun and spray it on the job don't you mix it with anything else is straight into a gun and spray it I'm using a 1 millimeter mini spray gun and spraying one medium to heavy coat over the gloss black once the chrome paint is down you'll see it start to clear up and become Chrome right before your eyes the warm of the weather the quicker we'll become Chrome now I'm gonna start spraying my helmets these have been sanded and sprayed with adhesion promoter now in spraying the gloss black giving about three coats waiting ten minutes between coats the easy chrome can be applied to anything anything that you can paint just prepare it properly and apply the appropriate primer and you can spray whatever you want in this easy chrome paint while I let the black dry on the helmet I'm gonna start spraying the chrome on these speed shapes that I painted earlier on this shape I'm using a spray gun I'm going to move on to the other shapes using different methods spray them if you don't have a spray gun you can use this prevail spray can unit basically you just pour the chrome paint into the pot attach the power unit to the top and it gives you a spray can nozzle on the top of that then you can just use it to spray anything you want and it's great for applying this chrome paint over the gloss black you only need to spray one even coat and that's enough for the chrome to do its job once it's down it'll look hazy but depending on the heat it'll clear up in about 10 to 20 seconds here you can see the results between the spray can and the spray gun They both look pretty good now it's time to try the brush on test I've let this black dry for about three to four days now I'm going to brush the chrome on I'm just gonna cover it try and get it nice and even and see how it goes as you can see it looks really good there are a few slight little brush strokes but other than that it definitely looks like real chrome now we're back to the helmets I've let these helmets draw for about three to four days now I'm spraying the clown paint on using a 1 mil spray gun it's a mini gun then I'm just spraying one nice even coat over the helmets that's been give me a great chrome finish Jessica now I've let the creme dry for about two days now I'm gonna spray some to k-qui over that I'm going to do two coats waiting ten minutes between coats I'm just using my normal to build this GTI per lot 1.3 mil nozzles spray gum so I painted the helmets they look really good I painted my samples I've also painted the bumper bar in chrome now this was just a silver the paint was really bad on it so I sprayed it with the black put the chrome paint on now I'm going to test it I'm going to compare it to a real chrome bar that's exactly the same shape as this so yeah let's go out and check it to a real Chrome button bar see the compar now this helmet doesn't have clear on it so I'm going to test how'd your abilities so I'm gonna clean it with some wax and grease remover and a microfiber cloth just to see how the cream holds off you can see even after using chemicals to clean it and a microfiber cloth basically hasn't marked the crime and still looks just as good as it did when it was sprayed now I'm going to scratch it with the screwdriver to see how it reacts and basically it's reacting just like a normal paint a scratch normal paint with a screwdriver and it's going to mark it and that's what's happening now I'm gonna apply some masking tape over the scratches over the chrome paint see if it peels off and basically it's stuck really well so good stuff now if you ever get any scratches or the chrome paint does start to come off the base it's really easy to touch up just get your gun and spray the chrome back onto the product this is great for touching up chrome wheels as well if you ever get scoffs enough well there you go that was the outside easy chrome paint I painted it on a few different surfaces and it looks pretty good I mean as a replication of chrome it I say it does the job I mean I painted this bumper bar and when I held it up against the car with the original chrome bumper bar you really you couldn't tell the difference I mean you definitely get away with with painting it putting it on the car and I mean it's it's quite scratch resistant you can clean it and it's very easy to touch up so yeah I definitely recommend it to anyone on exterior or interior the easing cream is really good as far as brushing it you probably get a better finish if you spray it with a gun I used a 1 mil mini touch-up gun and it works really good brushing it you tend to get a little bit of streaks you can run into problems so spraying it's probably much easier and gives you a more even finish now you can put a clear coat on it that'll protect it give it a bit more durability it does take a little bit of the chrome look away but it's quite durable on its own so I'm going to spray some candy over these Chinon on the next video I'm gonna spray the helmets I gonna put some candy paint on top so gold red
