Image Transfer Motorcycle Tank, Water slide decal

hey guys adam at time here in this video i'm going to show you exactly how i prep paint and apply a water slide decal on top of this chopper tank this paint job is so easy i bet your grandma could do it [Music] so [Music] [Music] all right i'm going to mix up some high build direct to metal primer the brand that i'm using here requires you to mix two parts together at a four to one ratio this primer comes out pretty thick so you may want to reduce it with some urethane reducer it's the same reducer that we used throughout this whole video so where the heck are you supposed to buy all this stuff easy it's on amazon not only that they gave me a web page so all of the products are easy to find on one link you'll find it located in the description of this video also it's pinned to the top of the comment section [Music] so [Music] all right now that we have the primer all smoothed out we're going to mix up some black base coat to prepare for metal flake this particular base coat like most base coats they only have one part the only thing is you want to add some urethane reducer to thin it out to make it spray better through your paint gun [Music] for this project i'm using limeline metal flake the best thing about this metal flake is that it's sprayable through a 1.4 tip or bigger so you don't have to go out and buy some fancy flake blower i use the same 1.4 tip spray gun in this whole video i just make sure i clean it out really good after i use it i also love this stuff because it has instructions printed right on the back of the packet that's pre-dosed to mix with one pint of clear coat like a kool-aid pouch they make it incredibly easy [Music] okay now that i have the metal flake applied i'm gonna mix up some of the same clear coat without flake and i'm gonna keep spraying to help smooth out the texture [Music] all right now that the tank is all cleaned up i'm going to apply this water slide decal if you've never used this stuff before basically it's like the same material as a temporary tattoo you had when you were a kid most of the brands that i found online they only had clear sheets the ones that i'm using here are white and they're most definitely the ones that you're going to want to use it's on the amazon link that you'll find below so i just printed this out on a regular inkjet printer and now i'm going to apply a one part clear coat to keep the ink from melting off once i submerge it to release it from its backing follow the directions on the can for dry [Music] times [Music] [Applause] [Music] if you have any questions so far feel free to hit me up in the comment section and if you want to help support this channel while unlocking additional perks hit the join now button below i'm going to move on to mixing up some clear coat at a four to one ratio that way we can start to bury the image [Music] oh [Music] [Music] all right i'm getting ready to lay out some graphics with some limeline tape if you're still with me smash that like and subscribe button and hit that bell icon and turn on the notifications that way you don't miss any of my future videos [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] i'll be mixing up some more of the same black paint that we used earlier the only difference is i'll be thinning it down a little more because i'll be spraying it through my airbrush [Music] [Music] uh [Music] foreign for this project i am super excited to be testing a new product a chameleon pearl by limeline that is set for release spring of 2021. basically dry pearl is a powder that you mix into your clear coat or clear base coat like i'm doing here not only does this pearl fade in and out in a ghosting kind of effect it also changes colors depending on the lighting around [Music] it [Music] [Music] [Music] thanks for hanging in there with me guys we're about ready to jump into some graphics here and don't forget that all these materials are available on amazon link in the description [Music] so [Music] ah [Music] um [Music] so [Music] so [Music] i'm [Music] i'm using house of color concentrates so it needs to be diluted with a clear base coat i'm mixing this at a two to one ratio two parts clear base one part candy this isn't a hard rule though you can mix this however you want at different ratios to get a different color intensity i'm gonna add a little bit of urethane reducer so we can thin it out to make it sprayable through the airbrush [Music] ah [Music] so [Music] for this last clear coat sesh i'm going to mix up some premier series clear coat by tamco this stuff lays out like glass it's really unbelievable if you want to help support this channel hit the join now button below to become a member and don't forget you can get all the paint materials that i used on the amazon link in the bio hit that like and subscribe button for me and most of all thank you for [Music] watching [Music] you
