hello ballet dancers and welcome to gvo kids today we are doing an easter ballet class this is one video in a series of ballet classes we will keep doing if you like videos like these subscribe and you can grab it you can also just pretend we're not going to use it till the very end of the video so we can place it down in front of us now and then we're going to find our first position feet look down make sure that it's the shape of a pizza slice then stand up tall and let's place our hands on our hips elbows right out to the side making the shape of a triangle let's start with our plies we're going to bend our knees plie lower down beautiful come on up again let's plie and imagine there's a little easter bunny hopping through your legs we're in the shape of a diamond straightened come on up plie straighten plie straighten when you're doing plies make sure you're not sticking your bum out even though that's what the easter bunny would do we're gonna keep our body nice and tall plie straighten plie straighten beautiful plies one more time coming back up all right let's turn our feet now parallel together let's take our right foot we're gonna peel it off the ground point it and bring it up in front of us and then draw your toe back down your leg place it on the ground all right let's do our other foot drawing it up knee is pointed right towards the front and placing it back down again beautiful switching sides again bring it up point bring it back down bringing it up retiree beautiful nice balancing bringing it back down again now we can practice some skips let's pick one foot up and we're going to go hop step hop step hop step hop step and we'll speed it up skip skip skip skip skip beautiful skipping all right now let's come down and we'll turn our feet out to first position again and we're gonna practice our easter bunny hops or our sautes let's bend our knees and we're gonna hop like a bunny land with your knees bent and then straighten our legs beautiful bending our knees let's take a big bunny hop straighten let's bend so we can get a good jump bend [Music] beautiful let's do one more bend [Music] we're gonna practice getting up and down like ballerinas if you wanted to grab your basket for this part you can so we're going to start in first position we're going to ton do our foot to the front step on that foot and then we're going to point the other foot behind and we're gonna get down onto our knees we're not using our hands and then sit back on your heels sit to the side and then swing your feet in front of you beautiful and without touching the ground with our hands we're going to get up again the other way so now we're going to swing our feet underneath sit on top of our heels come up onto our knees we're going to turn our front foot out and bring it up beautiful and then we can stand up back to first position beautiful all right let's do some stretches and warm up on the ground so we'll do that again tondu to the front step on it point that foot let's get down on our knees sitting back tilt to the side and swing our feet around beautiful job let's place our basket to the side for now and place our fingertips on the ground sit up nice and tall let's point our knees up at the ceiling and practice our flex end point are you ready flex point flex point flex point flex point now we're gonna alternate so flex 1.1 alternate alternate alternate alternate alternate alternate [Music] let's do two more beautiful now let's take our feet and we're going to turn out our legs from the very top and we're going to point them straighten your legs straight straight straight point flex sitting up tall point flex point flex last one point flex beautiful let's bring our legs in for a butterfly position let our knees flop out to the side [Music] and let's bring our hands to first position up to fifth position open up second and back down to our feet and then let's bring our nose towards our toes and stretch here beautiful [Music] good and come on up and now we can straighten our legs out to the front let's grab our baskets again sit up as tall as you can sitting tall let's get up again let's swing our feet underneath us sitting on our heels come up to our knees turn your leg out and then we can get back up again and we don't need our basket right now we can place it back down again let's place our hands on our hips first position now we're going to plie with our arms in a v position so let's bring them down to brah and then out to second position and then we can let them float up and make a nice v position delicate fingers beautiful and let's plie down plie straighten plie straighten plie straighten keep your belly pulled in your tummy pulled in plie straighten one more plie straighten and then let your arms gracefully float back down we can place our hands on our hips and we're going to practice our releve or raising up on our toes so we're going to raise up and we're going to pretend that there is a little chick that's going to run through between make sure we don't squish it oh it's gone and we can lower our heels back down softly let's raise up again releve gently lower down beautiful raise up again lower down raise up lower down raise up this time a whole line of checks is gonna go hold hold hold hold hold beautiful lower down we'll practice our tandoos out to second position now or alas so we're going to go through demi point and then pop out to the side and then articulating through your foot drag your foot back in beautiful point to the side and in tandoori [Music] and in four more four three two last hondu on this side beautiful let's switch to the other foot now we will point and bring it in making sure our legs are turned out point and in point in point and in four more point drag it in point drag it in point heels together last time point and bring it in beautiful job now we're going to cross one foot over into third position beautiful third position let's bend and we're going to do another bunny hop and we're going to change the position of our feet so that our other foot is in front when we don't we're going to point our toes point switch our feet straighten beautiful plie point and switch straighten plie point and switch straighten plie point when you jump point land beautiful challenge now we're going to practice our porter bra let's bring our hands down to braba and you can imagine that you're holding a big easter egg and so you've got the shape of an oval and then we're going to bring our arms up to first position our middle finger is right at our belly button there and then let's open up to second position elbows are nice and soft and then let's come all the way up to a fifth position making another oval on top beautiful let's give a breath and our arms will gracefully come down through second flip the palms over and let them float back down to rabbah let's do that with just one arm now so let's bring one arm up and we'll bring all the way up to fifth and then pop down through second beautiful let's do that with the other arm up through first all the way up to fifth peak underneath your hand and then pop open and gracefully let it float down beautiful portobronna now we're going to do a dance with our easter basket so if you have an easter basket or any bucket you can grab it or you can just pretend to hold on to a basket if you don't have one so we're gonna hold our bucket out in front of us we're going to start in first position and we're going to start with four plies are you ready good plie plie plie plie beautiful now raise up on your toes and then we're gonna turn in a circle circle on your tippy toes turn in another circle beautiful and come back down into first position now we're going to tondu to the right four times one two three four and taunted to the other side one two three four beautiful and let's do our bunny hops bend one two three four five six seven eight beautiful let's try that one more time are you ready bringing our basket out in front elbows are out let's plie four times plie plie plie plie let's raise up on your tippy toes and we're gonna turn the other way this time two turns one tiny little steps two lower down tandoo to the side one two three four don't do the other side one two three last one now let's do our bunny hops bend one two three four five six seven eight what a beautiful easter ballet dance let's do our ballet curtsies before we finish off so we're going to tondu out to second bring one arm out we can transfer tuck the
