hello ballerinas welcome to pregnancy and postpartum tv kids workout series today we are doing a spooky ballet class this is one video in a series of kids videos that we're gonna do if you like videos we're going to do is we're going to pretend that we have vampire bat wings but we're going to gracefully bring them up to a v-shape and let them float back down beautiful remember to sit up nice and tall let's float our arms up again floating up let them fall down beautiful again floating up you can look up at one hand let them float down again one more time floating up floating down beautiful now we're going to warm up our feet practice our point and flex so we can come to the ground place our feet out in front of us and we're gonna pretend that we have a pumpkin at the bottom of our feet it's flexed and when we point it we're going to roll the pumpkin away as we point our toes very good sitting up tall we can lightly place our fingertips on the ground let's flex our feet the pumpkin appears again point roll your pumpkin away beautiful flex roll your pumpkin point flex roll your pumpkin beautiful let's go one last time flex roll your pumpkin good let's bring up to a flex position let's point one flex the other and we'll alternate alternate alternate alternate alternate oh your feet are getting so strong to be a ballerina beautiful very good we can come up to a standing position let's take our feet in come to our knees come up on our knees very good place one foot out in front of you turned out and then we can come up to first position so have a peek down at your feet and make sure that your feet are in the shape of a pizza slice they're turned out to the side beautiful and now we're going to practice our plies and we're going to make a big space between our knees when we plie so that a pumpkin could fit through our knees good let's straighten [Music] beautiful plie again a pumpkin can go through their knees are pointing out to the side straighten squeeze your leg muscles at the top plie straighten plie straighten one more you're doing beautiful plie straighten wonderful beautiful plies now we are going to practice our arabesque and we're going to pretend to ride a broom like a witch so vivian actually has a broom here she can use it i'm going to pretend we can turn to the side we'll come to our pizza position facing the sides let's point one leg behind us that's the bottom of our broom we can take one hand to our hip or hold on to a broom if you have one and then the other arm can go up to be the top part of our broom beautiful let ben pretending to ride our broom like a witch then straighten bend straighten wonderful let's come up on our toes turn around and go to the other side now we're going to point the other foot behind us and take the other arm up beautiful arabesque bend straighten bend straighten we're bending our front leg back leg is straight beautiful air bask wonderful let's come back to first position make sure your feet are in your pizza position good let's bring our hand down to rabbah if you're holding a broom you can go ahead and put your broom down let's bring our arms up to first position and we're going to pretend that we're holding a big witch's cauldron we can make a potion so bring your fingertips at the same level as your belly button and grab your spoon let's stir our potion wonderful let's switch to the other side stirring with the other hand [Music] very good come back to make the rim of the cauldron and now we're going to spread our potion spread it let's open our hands out to second position and all the way up to fifth position come back down to second position let's turn our palms down halfway and float down to brava beautiful let's take a turn up on our tippy toes so we can bend our knee point one foot behind us and then gracefully let's turn on our tippy toes [Music] beautiful and let's come back down to first position let's go ahead and we'll turn the other way now point come up on your tippy toes and lift your arms up to fifth position beautiful turns [Music] back down to first position ghosts like to float around the room so we're gonna practice our floating by going on our tippy toes so let's bend our legs come up on our toes we're going to cross one behind us and then we're going to tippy toe tippy toe tippy toe to the side have the appearance of floating beautiful let's come back to first position [Music] bend go up on your toes cross one behind and tippy toe tippy toe tippy toe tippy toe to the side beautiful coming back to first position let's add third position arms in let's go up on our tippy toes tippy toe tippy toe beautiful plie third position floating like a ghost [Music] now we're going to practice our witch ballet skips so let's go to the side of the room we can turn our toes forward let's point one foot out and we're gonna do our skips skip skip skip beautiful i love how you pointed your toes when you pick them up let's do it again on this side point skip skip skip beautiful all right we can come down to the ground tuck one foot behind you let's come to a seated position bringing our feet together and our knees out let's stretch now in bat pose which you may know as butterfly pose but we're going to pretend that our knees are bat wings so let's flap our bat wings beautiful keep flapping and let's try to press our wings down towards the floor use your muscles and your legs and try to get your knees as low as you can doesn't matter how far they go just relax them down good bring them up again as far as you can and press them down again beautiful what a beautiful halloween bat you are all right now we're going to go on our tummy and pretend to be a bat so we can take our knees together let's roll over and roll on to our tummies and now let's do our bat stretch on our tummies so we can bring one knee up to the side and then we can bring our other knee up and if your toes pop off that's okay you can also put a pillow under your tummy if it makes it easier you can take your hands up in front and stretch here let's take a few breaths here in bat pose on our tummies breathe in breathe out one more breath here [Music] beautiful let's straighten our legs so we're lying flat on our tummy with our legs straight now and we can take our hands below our shoulders and we're going to press up into an upward dog position and stretch out our back beautiful you can release yourself down a little bit but we're gonna try to hold ourselves up and now we can flap our arms like that beautiful we're using all our back muscles here getting really strong to be a ballerina [Music] keep flapping and release down to the ground good job let's do that one more time lifting up flapping [Music] wonderful release down good job you can take your hands and let's press up into an all four position here we're going to do cat and cow so pretend to be a halloween black cat and arch your back up like a black cat oh my hat's gonna fall off and now stretch the other way arching up good exhale round out your back like a black cat it's okay if your hat falls off arch your back look up and round out one more time pressing into your knees pressing into your hands into the ground make your back as round as you can beautiful all right let's come back on our knees let's shake it out a little bit i'm gonna put my hat back on there we go [Music] the next pose that we're gonna do is lying on our back now so we can sit on our bums and then we can lower ourselves down to the ground and we are going to pretend that our leg is a broom so i want you to keep your leg very straight and turn your legs out so your knees point out to the side turning from your hip bone and then let's bring one leg up very straight and pointed bring it up beautiful let's pretend that this is our broom we're going to take our broom out to the side good trying not to let your body tip to the side using your core muscles now let's bring our broom and point it down good let's point our broom back up to the side down up one more time to the side down bring it up beautiful bring it all the way down to the ground let's take a breath that was hard work wasn't it let's do the other side let's bring it up point it very straight make sure your knees pointed out to the side point your broom out down bring your broom back up straight leg is nice and straight to the side [Music] down point it up one more time to the side down bring it up and then lower it all the way down to the ground beautiful let's roll over onto our
