DUNDEE BEACH, IS THIS THE BEST FREE CAMP CLOSEST TO DARWIN!?

g'day guys and welcome to another episode we're up in the northern territory we're going to check out dundee beach we've heard some absolutely amazing things about this place we've got the caravan and toad we're heading down the beach right now let's go find a campsite and check this place out [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] so [Music] [Music] making our way down the beach nothing beats being on a beach especially with the caravan it's nice and soft you found a bit of a easier way up that's broken big girl oh that's gross [Music] so well i reckon this spot is going to do it this one been waiting so long for been waiting months years for this just to be out have the van parked up on a nice soft beach looking out over the ocean we've rolled in at low tide the sun's starting to set gonna just quickly set up grab a few drinks sit down get dinner go on watch this sunset this is awesome [Music] on [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] one thing i'll never get sick of is waking up right on the beach the sound of the waves nice cool breeze coming through it's been a change after a couple of warm nights that we've had uh down a bit south in the nt this is awesome just have a look at this found on wiki camps uh it's free camp thinking that you know a place like this is free just um just doesn't seem right so you can have your dog down here um i'm gonna get a bit of a drive today we're on the southern half of the of dundee beach like a little town there so we're gonna go check out the other side you can camp and drive along the beach up there get the bike out later keen to get out and go for a bit of a spin along the beach check out the mouth of the mouth of the finished river up there got some guys on a buggy there's been plenty of guys out here and buggies and that just got a few mates to live up here they said there's just buggies whatever no dramas um i send you things a lot more chiller up here in the nt you can sort of do a bit more uh bit more of what you want it's pretty it's pretty cool sorry for interrupting the video guys i'm literally sitting in the middle of the daily river in the northern territory editing the video that you're watching right now so you need to bump in quickly we made a promise a couple episodes ago on our gvm upgrade and the latest mods we've done to our car from the guys on track 4x4 andrew and the team there were generous enough to donate us a set of billet upper control arms for our patrol which has made a massive difference while we're towing look absolutely sick and we're very very very grateful so what we've done is we put it out to you guys there to give us some ideas of some charities or whatever that um that we could donate to what we've done is we've picked the chalice foundation this is one that sort of hit home for us um it's a local charity back home in sarasa area it's actually for children children having illnesses in the suraj area which is back home in madura so our our little niece mailer who's four years old now doing extremely well she was born prematurely at 27 weeks so my brother dean and his uh wife nikki spent a good three four months in melbourne uh it was a very hard and scary time for our family and these guys were just absolutely amazing so it feels good to sort of have something that's really personal to us and to give back uh so what we've done is we've donated 600 dollars to the charles foundation so we've made a promise to you guys i'm sorry it's taken a little bit longer with moving the house and literally you know changing our lives to living in our caravan has been a bit going on so we're sticking to our promise was going to pop it up top here of what we've donated so again thank you to andrew and the whole team for giving this opportunity uh you guys are absolutely freaking amazing and thanks again thanks to the guys for the input of um on the comments of of giving us the ideas and supporting the channels so back to the episode guys thanks heaps enjoy head off on a drive down you can go to where the fitness river meets the ocean there which is um we haven't seen a salty yet so i'm assuming if they're gonna be hanging around they should be hanging around up there there's so much mud formations out here with the water that the tides come in and out on it this would have to be mud crab and galore we've never we never caught on before and i don't honestly don't really know how to i'm not going to be shoving my hand in no muddy hole but this would be crab and galore out here [Music] [Music] awesome drive all the way along the beach there up to where the finest river meets the meets the ocean there absolutely beautiful little spot there that just wasn't quite wide enough to get there get the car there maybe with the tires right out you maybe could but we're gonna um i'm gonna jump on the bike later head out there and have a bit more of a get around the corner have a bit more of a look really cute aren't ya right i'm getting a super easy quick lunch ready today gonna have some chicken wings on the bbq and i'm gonna marinate them so it's got a bit of barbie sauce a bit of soy sauce some garlic i'll probably just use the rest of that a lot of garlic can't go wrong and just a little bit of chili flakes give it a bit of a bite and that's it i'm just going to give it a shake and let it sit for a little bit longer in the fridge and then i'll chuck them on the barbecue and it'll give them a nice promotional flavor so good oh you're joking [Laughter] oh this looks good just heading for a drive in bit closer to dundee beach crews on the beach right now and this is crazy how much has changed it's so much the water just looks so blue the beaches are so clean sand is beautiful this is absolutely there's not that many people around either so this is absolutely an awesome drive pulled up to a nice little creek that flows out into the into the ocean there really really really nice spot down here and there's just no one around just sort of sort of starting to remind me of the east coast beaches just without the crowds it's um really really nice it's just crazy how much it can change from around one bend to the other around the other side is a bit more muddy um all the big mud piles there and that and just literally come around the corner it's like you had a whole different buddy different coast [Music] [Music] so [Music] do [Music] well what a beautiful place it is around dundee beach we've had an absolute awesome day exploring the area just heading back to camp now i'm going to leave michael actually we've been about had our good friend dylan from home back home majora along with this trip with us which has been um an absolute pleasure being want to get into stuff for ages again he's finally built himself patrol got a camper trailer and he's absolutely loving it so i'm going to leave michael and dylan to get some firewood get the fire going i'm going to do a um a slow cooked brisket uh in the in the pot tonight so i'm going to head out on the bike go for a bit of exploring leave these guys and get dinner come back and hopefully dinner's ready [Music] so so [Music] only tiny bit jesus
