KIMBERLEY'S WITH A CARAVAN! EL QUESTRO'S BEST WATERFALLS AND 4WD TRACKS! GIBB RIVER ROAD 2021

g'day guys and welcome to our kimberly's with a caravan series we're kicking things off right here at the gym river road we've been waiting absolutely years to get up here for ourselves it's finally our turn to have a go we're going to be showcasing you some of the best four drive tracks camping sites destinations along with gibb river road we're going to be getting out doing some exploring on the bike we're kicking things off at el questro station which is just down the road let's do it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right we're up nice and early this morning we're heading out to el crestro gorge so this is the one where everyone sort of got walking through all the water and walking up on the walls and that's quite a it's quite a long walk and quite a quite a difficult walk so it's also got the deep water crossing it's about um 800 mil at the moment a touch more there i can ah so this is quite deep so you definitely want to snorkel we'll just come up to it right now you can tell there's quite a lot of holes i reckon i'm up on a little bit of a up out of the rats at the moment but i can kind of fall into a couple little holes sorry i mean if you do get you do get your tires a little bit wrong uh it definitely could be it could be a touch deeper so this is one you definitely definitely uh you'd be mad to do this one without a snorkel love a good water crossing especially when you make the other side of no water in your freaking car give you a little idea of the depth of the water it's come up to just about here on the on the door seals obviously a little bit more at the rear there so you can say it was good you know uh nearly three quarters half three quarters way uh up the 35 inch tyres so again definitely recommend a snorkel and a bit of clearance getting through that one i got the heart rate going nice and early but he nearly stepped on a snake it was very right next to me and that was um a little bit of a moment so walks good so far it's really really nice it gets nice really quickly very very rocky so i've opted for a good set of boots mikael's gone for the runners i was just gonna regret that it's really rocky with plenty of water through it we're living up to the good part yeah we made it to the halfway pole the water is absolutely crystal clear it's been the most beautiful walking way up here you got your big kimberley cliffs on the on one side then it's just like pure rainforest on the other really really nice this is the part where we got to walk i'm going to walk through the water head up and climb up there jump up on the rocks then continue on uh to the fall after the end we're gonna come back here for a swim on the way back so far we're the only people out here so we're gonna have the top gorge to ourselves so we're trying to get up there as quick as we can probably best not to be walking through this whole thing with wet socks so it changed down to the old trusty water shoes if these things could tell stories i've seen some stuff she's deep over the right way oh she look at fresh bloody beautiful definitely where your swimmers you're gonna go up the top oh jeez this would be interesting come on go i don't know where to put my next foot you're right just go don't you freaking slip all right there's one person up you're right probably could be a little bit there's a few spots down there i reckon you probably could get up but i know which way i'm going back i'm sliding right down there into the water beautiful little waterfall up here this is absolutely awesome we're gonna go up there it's been pretty tough going so far sort of go past that halfway pole this last bit actually gets pretty gnarly well we made it up what do you reckon the walk you sort of found it pretty it's pretty hard that second half like literally climbing over massive boulders and your hands and knees going up waterfalls like yeah so pretty hard the average person what would you say it is out of ten honestly for you yeah that was like that's probably the hardest walk i've ever done yeah we're not hardcore hikers or anything but yeah it was it was it was pretty hard but look at this reward and we got this place all to ourselves crystal clear water the whole walk up here is absolutely beautiful but get up nice and early and you can have this let's jump in [Music] so [Music] what an absolutely beautiful way to start the morning so good to be able to tick off our quest show we finally got to do it ourselves it was so worth the swim up there halfway pool is cool but if you're going to go to that definitely try and put the effort in and keep going further does get pretty difficult but it's about a 4.2 k return it is slow going so we left the car park here at 6 00 am uh it's now nearly 10 a.m so you want to allow a good minimum four to four to five hours it's what's going to take you to go out there get through at a nice um just nice gentle pace enjoy the gorge and come back and definitely leave in the morning if i was leaving right now i saw some people going up there at the moment they looked really really hot it's um leaving too late i wouldn't would not be ideal so that was absolutely beautiful this place just just keeps getting better and we're still just only at the start of the give river road we got pretty excited we've seen there's quite a few four drive tracks to go out and do here so we're heading out now we're gonna go out to uh pigeon hole look out there's a bit of a billabong up top there you can go and have a bit of a look at getting nice and rocky's a few little creek crosses and they're meant to be quite a few uh decent climbs so we're going to go down to 18 psi this is sort of our go-to for the rocky stuff and we'll get into it so made it down to the pigeon hole billabong it's actually really really nice down here the water's nice and nice and clear nice hills in the background there's nice sort of kimberley colored cliffs that just you just keep seeing every around here it's actually a really nice spot the tracking was actually it's actually really easy um i would happily take um a brand new unmodified um dual cab or something down there just obviously a tie down it's just really rocky so be no dramas at all so it's very difficult but in saying that the wet seasons through here can change these things just massively so you know who's to say that you know next year or last year they've done a bit of maintenance whatever so it could be it could be pretty hard so we worth checking with the guys before you come out [Music] one good thing about it saying it's really hard to full drive track is probably going to scare quite a few people away so it's actually if you want to get a do a little day trip or you know half day and get away from the crowds and as long as you bring a bit of shade down there's not much shade down here um coming down here ribbon spot to have a couple of couple of cheeky drinks and a bit of a barbie and enjoy the view i'm gonna go back up the top and have a look at the lookout over top there so that's where we were just down there just before so this is up at the main lookout here they've got a a little uh a bit of seed in here this has been an absolute epic spot to watch the sunset have a look at this [Music] [Music] we've made it up to branco's lookout it's a nice easy drive on the way up here a lot of it a lot of rocky stuff uh this is late july it's pretty dry right now so i can only imagine a few months beforehand something creeks would actually have quite a fair bit of water flowing this is a really popular spot to come up and watch the sunset we're going to be exactly doing that and coming back up here to check it out the big cliffs in the background the mountains up behind it the river flowing through here it's got some nice chairs up here this would be an absolutely beautiful spot and i can't wait to come back and check this one out later tonight [Music] we've made our way over to explosion gorge which is a part of the chamberlain river and apparently there's some crocs in there so we won't be going for a swim but we're definitely going to sit down and enjoy this view [Music] awesome morning out exploring equestria on the buyer it's been worth its weight in gold having that thing where this is just it's one thing exploring on the in the car but on the bike is this totally different experience absolutely loving it it's getting quite warm now there's a bit of a river that runs through the park here so we're gonna go down there and check it out and go through a swim [Applause] so we've come up to saddleback ridge lookout for the sunset and how beautiful is this we've come just at the right time [Music] this morning doing the walk to emma gorge it's about a 3.2 k uh return it's a grade four it's marked down so which is which is actually kind of it's sort of moderate to difficult and so far definitely some good footwear really really rocky apparently there's been quite a lot of um injuries around the area lately from people walking on the walk so give you a look at what it's like and see super candy go up there and go for a morning swim you've got to be joking no one is here we have emma gorge to ourselves the walk-in took us about 35 minutes again it's still sort of that great just moderate to you know slides some bits are slight difficult really rocky so just good footwear uh plenty of water but yeah 35 minutes up that was um that was just a moderate just easy walking at the most quickest walkers in the world as soon as you get the first look at this this is absolutely breathtaking with this place all to ourselves for a morning swim water is so crispy clear it's actually pretty damn cold this is always the first part you've got to sort of just man up and just get in it's going to be so worth it here it goes [Music] can we start every day all this please oh my god this is what we are absolutely mad for we just it was because we're from a jury in the desert we've always had this thing having me for fresh water fresh water swimming holes and waterfalls are just our that's our most favorite thing to do so to get up to places as amazing as this this is literally just a big bucket list that just absolutely [Music] hey good girl hello it's kind of two reasons why we get going nice and early in the morning one is to beat the crowd uh which we did we had the whole place to ourself and this car park right now is absolutely jammed back so i walked past quite a few blokes people walking up there including tripp and a van as well they're here having a bit of a bit of a look around which is cool um yeah we leave we leave georgia in the car a lot of people ask what we do with um with georgia so you're allowed to have your uh dogs around el questo station which is no drums at all um but you know in the car park here but now to have them at the waterfalls so nice and early it was nice and cool this morning with the windows down plenty of breeze over she's nice and chill she'll literally city we leave it to about an hour two hours um of what will sort of leave us the most will sort of leave her in the car um and she's full comfortable she'll just lay there and sit down plenty of water so we still get to get out and experience these amazing amazing spots which don't get the only downfall don't get to spend as much time as we probably would like out there but get to see these spots see our beautiful girl spend the rest of the time with her i've got something pretty exciting today we haven't been able to put the drone up yet because it's a strict uh no drone flying zone around equestria here had a good chat to bend the manager last night i said hey organize your chopper flight of the moines and go and get some film up top so we've both never been a chopper before it's gonna be absolutely awesome to get up and have a look let's do it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right well that wraps up our time here at equestria station we had an absolute ball it was so good to be here for ourselves check out the place we heard the next couple years i've got a fair few improvements we're going to be doing two chucking the pool in really throwing a lot of money in and doing the place up open up more campgrounds which is going to be very exciting but take a look around like we're sort of pretty worried when we come in here um everyone's saying how this is have the book unpowered everywhere we've gone we've got an unpowered no drums look how much space there is today there is room for a lot of caravans in here so don't always go by everyone else is saying what we always say just get out and get out and experience it for yourself and just just wing it i know we like winging it we've done it the whole time in peak season and it's been fine so highly highly recommend getting up here we're going to come back maybe next year the year after i reckon late march early april we're going to get right up here when it's nice and early uh waving's just in its prime we it's it's beautiful the way it is dry season you can get out and do more tracks a lot more stuff to be more accessible but we'd love to see it in the wet season as well so thanks so much for watching guys make sure you tune in
