[Music] hey hey what is up andrew it is youtube here and we are back with some more ginger now in the last video i kind of got punked a little bit it was my first time listening to ginger yeah no i didn't i didn't see that coming wow um and obviously there was something very distracting that happened in the pisces video which couldn't really help but take my attention away from the fantastic drumming and i really was enthralled with the music and the drumming and then spoiler alert something happened in that video that kind of [Music] it was like when you saw the sixth sense in the cinema and something happens in that film and it changes everything you've seen before or memento is another one like that it was that kind of like what what is going on it was pretty crazy but the drumming vlad lassevich vlad i'm just going to call him vlad olasevic i don't know hit me in the comments if i'm anywhere close or completely wrong with that the drumming was sensational so i cannot wait to check out this video let's hit it oh this is a a gig right [Music] i love that double floor tom on each side they're symmetrical idea they're super cool i'm a little bit scared uh when the vocals come but i'm ready i'm a bit more prepared this time [Music] wow [Music] i love this in terms of reacting to a drum video or checking out a new drummer still very new drama for me vlad um this is the perfect scenario he's live there's no studio tricks here i'm not saying there are studio tricks in other videos but you know you can sound replace things um nothing here this is all live and you know and it's raw and it's amazing this is seriously some proper killer killer pocket killer chops you know this guy is in total control time everything it's the total package i mean obviously this group is leaning to more towards the heavier side but they've got a lot of you know between white and black there's a lot of shading in between with this group and i find them really really intriguing man this is just super impressive oh another thing i just noticed i'm not subscribed i'm going to go ahead and subscribe and give the video a like ginger metal band i'm really digging this this guy's a weapon [Music] it's a little bit of a badge of honor i think for some of these uh guys to just be able to change from open-handed to you know crossed over i don't mean that in the sense that for praise for that but it just seems to be necessary a required skill for some of these guys and you couldn't even pick close your eyes you don't even know whether they're playing you know left hand dominant or right hand it's really is amazing stuff [Music] quite a lot of muting on this drum set [Music] absolute boss just check out the texture on the snare play here now when a lot of people play live they tend to lose their dynamics or at least the engineer or the pa at a big gig can kind of lose your dynamics he is playing the full range of dynamics here i've backed it up watch while it says right you'd normally be watching this left for the snare but check out the shading and the difference in dynamics and stick height and volume he's getting out of the snare this guy's a king beautiful beautiful stick control [Music] wow [Music] he's having a party there [Music] what a boss [Music] this is a master class in heavy drumming and how to add tension and connective tissue within a very slow tempo let's just back it up man this is killer [Music] what i want you to pay attention to is how much is going on basically between those loud accent back beats on the snare and how much note density and how much basically is happening around the entire kit between those backbeats that's stunning this guy's uh he's becoming one of my favorite new favorite drummers i think yeah the section sort of starts here [Music] oh [Music] can you sore arms just watch [Music] oh my god now i want you to pay attention in this bit i'm going to back it up watch his left hand when he's riding on this crash it's a little bit hard to explain we're seeing a drummer who was in the zone now i want you to watch the hits and there's like a stickiness there's a hit hit there's just so much intention and control in these left hand crash hits he's hitting the symbol exactly in the sweet spot and literally perfectly in terms of the rebound and sort of the connection to the bpm and tempo of the song we're seeing a drummer in the zone this is literally as good as it gets watch the left hand and see if you feel it here look at that left hand [Music] especially there [Music] wow [Music] accuracy on those tiny symbols [Music] oh my god absolutely phenomenal now that video it's got a lot of views but it doesn't have as many views as i would expect i hope a lot of people who watch this video you know do click on the original video link original video link's always in the description of my video you know my job here is to talk all over it basically and give my feedback and how i feel first time watching something and how excited i am and just the things that i need to go back and see again so i can you know see it and believe it go and check out the original video link go and support ginger of course that is just frighteningly good you know that studio pisces session that i watched the drumming was absolutely phenomenal and flawless and as i say kind of got hijacked by this remarkable vocal performance which changed everything and sort of stole the uh stole the show really here we just get to see vlad in his element playing live and you know there's nowhere to hide live his tempo there's no tempo resets there at all we've got a guy who's in the zone and i never really uh try to stay away from this word but we've got someone who's got a certain mastery over the instrument and he's just in total control combined with a band that's obviously he loves he loves loving the music and it's just a perfect fit i can't believe i'm saying this because you know anyone who's watched my channel for a long time will know this kind of music was just absolutely not in my world at all before doing reaction videos you guys the subscribers the supporters of the channel have consistently requested this more extreme stuff and i have started to really love it i get it now i did him before and you know i did a podcast episode of a metal podcast roundtable episode and you know talking to the guys and i got a good understanding then of the mindset and you know what makes the got those guys tick what makes the scene tick and you know this concept of life is you know if you're a metal fan you're a lifer you're in there for the long haul you know you can smell what's authentic you can smell what isn't or what you consider to be bs in the industry in the scene and i just imagine these guys are for real that drumming is for real that is that's the truth [Music] like you you can't kill a drum track any more than that absolutely flawless phenomenal guys remember to
