DRIVING & SLEEPING IN THE OMANI DESERT!

last time we're in the desert a lot of people asked about where we went to the bathroom and we forgot to film it this is the bathroom at this desert camp I haven't been in there yet he does have a golden handle only in Oman shower where does this water come from it's up psycho disgust oh I'm just hot yeah perfect thank you hot water in the desert [Music] it is another absolutely beautiful morning here in Oman we just checked out of our hotel and rented this silver Nissan Pathfinder behind us and this morning we're driving two and a half hours from Muscat into the desert it's gonna be crazy we're spending the next two nights in two different desert camps there's many cameras [Music] thank you so much thank you thank you so this guy was like flagging us down on the interstate and at first it like really kind of freaked me out and then I was like I don't know maybe there's like something wrong with our car and he's trying to help us and so we pulled over and our hood wasn't shut good so at any moment our hood could have just slammed up over the dashboard and that guy just came and shut it for us that was so nice and could have been so [Music] also for any of you who are wondering what it's like driving in Oman I had some hesitation in running a car because I had heard that they drive really fast here but so far I had felt extremely safe the conditions of all of the roads have been fantastic I'd say go for so we just met Jaclyn owner of the company that we're gonna be staying with the next two days and now we're following her into the desert to the camp and she's actually leaving us there and tomorrow we're gonna be on our own the beautiful day to drive in the desert [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] whoa no way this is incredible I have no clue what I'm doing but we're just driving through the dunes of the desert to just kind of let us loose like we knew we were doing it's used to strobe way of bad we're covered overtop of doing the sliding down it this is so much [Music] we're here good job in let's go see your camp oh stop this is so great Wow hey good hi mate thank you very much nice and cold [Music] it is so quiet I feel like I need to whisper it is just so peaceful we were greeted with this beautiful table of coffee and tea and dates we're having our first Omani coffee experience it's not like regular coffee it's kind of like a weak coffee with hints of cardamom and rosewater so it's more like a tea we're about to go to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset but first we're gonna give you a quick tour over the camp there's only two tents one common area tent that's super cozy this is where we're sleeping we haven't even been in there yet but I just can't believe that this little cozy intimate place exists in the middle of the desert this is a room [Music] all right the sky is turning orange and we're going to watch the sunset [Music] [Music] a lot since I was amazing we just got back to camp they are currently preparing a traditional meal cooking whatever we're having tonight in the ground in the sands under fire and then after dinner we're gonna prepare for some awesome stargazing [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and Gail and camel lost my phone to the crack we're never gonna know where to go since I'm in the car we have nothing else to do I thought I tell you a funny story I was really nervous about not having coffee in the desert the next couple of days I mean it might be there but we just don't know and I'm very reliant on caffeine in the morning we were getting gas before we got on the interstate and it was like Carrie you should run in and get some coffee for us I was like oh it's such a good idea and so I go in there I've iced coffee and I'm walking out of the store and Nathan the car cracking up about 30 seconds before Kara was coming out of the gas station I had this thought and I was like maybe we weren't on the same page when I said coffee admit get us powdered coffee Freud the next few days in case they don't have any and Carrie came out with two cups of coffee for the ride out to the desert so now we are all we do I don't think I did so great with the camera I don't know if I got any of that it was so hard to keep it still one more point that we're standing still and she's not very good camera yeah like I said [Music]
