I got a kid and so I went in there and basically was picking uniforms I was like what's that [ __ ] that's infantry you get $2,500 bonus I'm like word okay and he said that red beret that's airborne they even approach okay so what happened with New Jack city was they wanted to make this movie and they had they had written the movie and they didn't know who they were gonna get and at the time there was just not there just wasn't a lot of black actors now there's hundreds of black hackers but at the time Wesley Snipes had only done major league he's you know major right but that was he wasn't a big known active so um George Jackson and Doug man Henry Tudor the producers they decide to brainstorm they said let's just take people from pop culture Isis selling millions of Records he's a little you know kind of little pro protist pro at let's get him let's get Chris Rock he's the the most grimy knew so they just took all the people that they knew they were hot and different and said let's make a lot of never knew who Chris Rock was yeah old New Jack city let's let's try let's see if they can act so I'm in a club in Mario Van Peebles was in the club and us mama he says to me he yeah we changed numbers and you were already on Warner Brothers as a record Liam everything revolves around Warner Brothers are at the time so I show up at his thing and I look at the script I'm a Spectre I'm gonna get four or five lines sorry Scotty's part I'm like yo this the whole movie so I'm like really I'm not act we said you can do it this [ __ ] got dreads like like and they were like alright so the sisters sent me out on that mission and I did the movie I was [ __ ] nervous but now they know this this this story took place in New York didn't matter it was just its opportunity opportunity gag you know Laurie I believe this man we come from a background with no opportunities and we always are you know upset about that when you get an opportunity and you don't take it and you a real-life sucker you know saying you're a real-life sucker because my vision of you bitching about it and now you get it and you don't take it you gotta put the Jets on when you get that opportunity because they don't get up so I got that opportunity so you took it I went and I tried my best to do the movie I was nervous this is at the same time original gangster came out this is my biggest album was hot so III add new jack city was can I risk this and didn't [ __ ] up my record it's my record is high yeah but but now when you got the script did they tell you to act as that was attached to it
