Dragonflight | TLDR 10.1 Disc Priest M+ GUIDE

hey everybody what's going on so in today's video I wanted to go over a tldr discipline priest guide for Mythic plus and season two of dragonflight in this video I want to go over talents the stats the healing rotation the damage rotation utility tips and tricks now before we get into the video make sure you like the video and subscribe to the channel you can also find me streaming here on YouTube as well as a link to our Discord down below so as you can probably tell this is not my druid I'm putting in a lot of work rating doing Mythic plus my priest and I finally decided to tackle a priest I had never conquered before which was discipline what drove me to this class this season was the four set and just being able to dish out a lot of damage and of course power infusion now I will admit I was a bit scared a bit hesitant a bit reluctant whatever word you want to use about discipline priest because there's so much to it and I was always scared of getting behind in you know my group dying it takes a lot of fight knowledge and some ramping but not not as much as you think so I hope this guy will help you understand it at a more high level and I'll also have gameplay footage in the background that may also help what to do so briefly before we get into it I want to kind of go over what is a discipline priest so a different priest is obviously a Healer that heals through applying atonements to your players and then dealing damage to enemies to heal their atonements think of atonement as a blanket right you put a blanket on somebody uh keeps them nice and safe and cozy and warm so atonement right here it puts a tone on a target from your powered Shield flash Shield renew powered Radiance for 15 seconds your spell damage peels all Targets affected by atonements by 40 you need to have this up or try to have this up as much as possible on all your targets but don't be putting it on targets really who don't need it so you're not wasting Global code ads and you could dish out the damage tank is priority other than that people who are taking damage so the beauty of discipline priest of putting atonements on you have a lot of talents that buff your damage therefore increasing your healing so again this is a tldr guide I don't want to go super in depth with the talents and do a large breakdown you can find that on Wowhead there's some other channels on YouTube Jack B cast and he's he's the man um I don't want to overwhelm you discipline prices a little overwhelming already and that's kind of why I've shot away from in the past so I just want to give you a brief overview of why this is the build that is good and kind of some of the things that it does so again just a brief overview of what makes this build super good is you get Schism which increases the spell damage taken by the Target by 15 percent Shadow Covenant throws at a heel to four people and increases your Shadow spell damage by 25 as well as turning your spells into Shadow spells moving on down the tree again Shadow Covenant lasts eight seconds this is a must plane back into Shadow spell damage Abyss every atonement seal for 20 more when activated by Shadow spells this is one of the best ones in the tree is Harsh discipline so when you cast forecasts of smite power Souls mind Blast Your Penance fires three additional bolts and costs no Mana we'll Garden this a little bit later in the rotations guide this is a key point of this build the second key point is while equilibrium Shadow spells increase the damage of your next holy spells within six seconds by 15 and your damaging holy spells increase damage of your next Shadow spell so damaging Shadow spells are mind blasts Shadow or death things like that damaging Holly spells our Penance Smite power with Solace it's good to weave those you want to weave those so if you look here over at the priest tree nothing out of the ordinary this is very standard I don't switch a lot of this up you may see some build mind games I don't play with Mind Games I wish Mind Games wasn't in the talent tree for priests whatsoever it just doesn't fit it's such a bloated thing that has to be cast I don't like it even a shadow the ones I do want to mention though are binding heels and powered life so binding heels when you flash out somebody else it flashes heals you for 20 and puts atonement on you which is fantastic next surge of light your healing spells and smite have an eight percent chance to make your next flash Shield instant cost and cost no Mana this is great I've always loved this Talent they've had it for a long time it's great for oh healing and applying atonement instantly and then the juicer healer power word life when a Target is below 35 Health powerbird life heals for 400 more and the cooldowns reduced by 20 seconds so I have a week or I'll show you that actually highlights people that go below 35 elf and I have a key bind to my mouse wheel that does a quick cast of this other than that nothing too crazy um again brief overview nothing very in-depth so let's talk about the tier set in my opinion the discipline priest has the best tier set in the game for healing especially a Mythic Plus this is a build defining four set I honestly worry about what's going to happen the discipline priest when or if they take this away from us in the future because it's it's so good the two set Purge the wicked damage increased by 25 percent and powered Radiance healing increase by 15 so this is going to give you more damage and more healing from Purge the wicked because your healing is done through atonement which is done through damage power Radiance ceiling increased by 50 percent so flat heel agrees now here's where this is the best one atonement Supply with power Radiance lasts three seconds longer and your spells have a chance to increase your power word Radiance to be instant cast and cost 50 less mana and can accumulate three charges this is why this priests are so good this season this is the best oh button for healing on the discipline priests not the best in the game yeah evokers have rewind there's some there's some other good ones out there but this is amazing especially on Haley movement fights you know like I said oh buttons or just simply getting atonements out as fast as you can just to show an example of this you'll see right here in my weak or I have two stacks of this that's right here also radium oops radiant Providence again this is walk over here we can see I'm gonna hit power ratings right here boom instant cast and they create for over a hundred thousand just on these dummies you still have one again this is not expired so running around oh no we're taking damage boom pop everyone has atonement on them and you can proceed with your healing again I do worry a lot what's gonna happen with this priest because taking this away is going to be such a bummer for the spec let's go over your stats so nothing surprising here your first is going to be item level because that gives you intellect called by haste and then crit and then Mastery now if you're pushing High keys I'd say 20 plus maybe 22 plus you want to start adding versatility in probably replacing crit I don't do that I'm your everyday you know Keystone master key star hero pivot plus Runner I don't do that I stack haste and then crit I got a pretty good even distribution here I would like a little more haste a little more crit but that comes with gear all right so next let's talk about the healing rotation and damage rotation they're kind of one of the same and again nothing crazy let's go over the basics so as an opener I always put Power word shield on my tank because it gives you atonement and then I'll go in I start clicking power and Purge the wicked and then I'll Penance to spread it so you get your dots rolling the reason you want to cast Penance is because it spreads to one additional Target for a total of two so it spreads the two enemies when you cast Penance on the target after that Penance cast let's do it again first really good penance I'll cast two mind blasts and then I'll start smiting so the reason you want to snipe the reason I smite is very man efficient it's a very short cast just a little over one second 1.1 seconds and our discipline gets Stacks from it if you remember after forecasts of smite blast powered solos your penis fires three additional bolts cost no Mana it's my one two three four it's glowing gonna Target somebody look at all those cool beams so that does a ton of damage to the Target and return there's a ton of healing after that's done I will just spot heal either with a flash Shield if they have a little bit of healing I'm a pop power word shield on targets and if you need to you can renew on somebody just for an instant cast atonement so again this is run through real quick you want to put powered shield in somebody Purge the Wicked on as many people as you can Penance to spread it get some damage to get some healing mind blast mind blast I just go into smites just to build my harsh discipline Stacks there it is already do that keep spamming that's just your routine rotation keep Radiance up all right so I keep a Tome up pop powered Radiance if you have group damage needs to go out so as far as a damage rotation and this comes down to a lot of timing and fights which I'm not again not going to go over what you want to do is you want to pop power radiance schism Shadow Covenant and again Shadow cover it makes your holy spells some of them turn in the shadow so dark reprimand is one which is penance as you can see does that and I'll go mine blast mind blast back into smite because you get your stacks done now when you pop Shadow Covenant you want to prioritize the shadow spells because they do 25 increase damage damage is increased by them I purge the wicked which I were paying my 15 and lastly as Tobin heals for 20 more when activated by Shadow spells so when you pop Shadow Covenant and you do damage to people with Shadow they're going to get 20 more healing because they're triggered by Shadow spells that's why you want to prioritize Shadow Covenant Independence and two mind blasts so after that's done again you just want to pop your power Radiance whether the instant cast or not if you need healing continuing to your rotation of spreading Purge the wickeds penance mind blasts back in the smite just like that you can see all the healing going on around me that's that again use Flash show as needed on other targets because it'll also give you atonement and give you 20 healing it's a very quick way to spread atonements now as far as utility this one priest I think has the best damage reduction cooldowns other than uh pulley priest and it's important to use them properly number one obviously being powered Shield it absorbs 46 000 damage this can change based off your gear I used on the tank 99 of the time this is part atonement and prevent some damage so the second one being that's everyone's familiar with is power infusion increases the haste on the Target and yourself by 25 so if you cast this on someone else you're going to get the same effect because twins of the sun precious right here so I'll go over something a little later to know when and who to cast this on in your party so briefly you have shackle Undead for the incorporeal ethics um always take this for incorpora weekend your group will love you pain suppression okay pain suppression reduces all damage taken by friendly Target by 40 percent caspel while stunned and it has two charges because of protector of the frail so don't be afraid to use this use this liberally you can cast it every one and a half minutes if you wanted to it saves tanks especially tanks that have stagger monks and scare the ever-living out of me use it it's good and then power barrier this is becoming one of my favorite cooldowns because you know admittedly I was not using this as much as I should so this is great for if you need to group up and has a lot AOE going on you can cast it and so someone's a barrier and reaches all damage taken by 25 and prevents spell cast and delay and what it looks like is this boom a dome tell people to stand in it um you can even pull them in here with leap of faith and it's very helpful definitely use this so lastly I want to talk about a few things I've kind of learned along the way that may help you and the first thing that comes to mind is how much healing Shadow or death does with atonement so should I wear death if it's cast on a target with uh 20 health or lower there's 150 more damage don't be afraid to like if you have a lot of targets that are below like 25 houses to tab through them and and pop Shadow or death it'll have two charges of this cast below somebody with 20 health the next one I mentioned earlier do not be scared to use paint suppression on tank on anybody yourself just anybody all right and the last Uber powerful utility that we have is power infusion so as you know it increases haste by 25 percent when it's cast on player and then twins the Sun pictures gives it benefit to you so always cast this on somebody else and I mentioned earlier I have a weak aura that actually tracks big damage cooldowns and automatically highlights the player frame when they pop a cooldown so soon as I see this light up with a square as you can see right here on the screen I will pop power infusion on them so it times up perfectly and also there will be a link to this in the
