Dragonborn Bard in Act 2 - Baldur's Gate 3 Livestream

through act two I did Save the Last Light in saved Isabel and I've done a few of the smaller quests around but you can see I haven't really explored huge amount now before I go any further I'm actually going to go and Respec a couple of characters because Fighters are great oh enough waiting I crave blood I actually want to get some play time with a barbarian some more play time so I'm going to resp LEL into a barbarian uh where is old man with us I forgot where he is in this Camp all right let's use this no no no no no onward there he is all right I'll have a look at her equipment afterwards ah I shall be here in my Camp change my class and I'm going to try wild um magic barar I forgotten the exact name of it right now right abilities do I want to change these yeah let's do that actually I'm starting to think maybe that's better the thing is I'm going to have enough uh enough hit points as a barbarian and I'm probably will be wearing medium armor so I don't need a higher Constitution for my armor class High dexterity does allow the Barbarian to go earlier and high strength is good a little bit sad with these down here the W bar unmodded yeah just want to try it out at least for at least for a few hours I might not like I don't think I'll like it I did play it a bit when the first when the game was first released danger sense Advantage yeah okay and it seemed quite lackluster after a while in fact quite quickly how is Barb at tanking damage well better in in terms of taking damage not exactly tanking but taking damage uh better because they got more hit points and if they're raging they take half damage from physical attacks within range adds proficiency bonus I'm just probably going to forget to cast cast use this only lasts for a turn and then wild magic let's see the beat well I think I I say have to but great weapon Master goes so well with a barbarian because they can really they can get advantage on every attack extra attack extra movement that's all good and miss the step from being a GI Yankee so what's this you one Ally receives a plus one D4 bonus I got to remember to use this so that is actually useful you want Ally recover a first level spell slot second level spell slot I'm going to again try to remember to use this thing is with the ability to take so many long rests that maybe Isn't So useful I don't take too many long rests I don't think plus three bonus to initiative and can't be surprised right that's actually quite a cool feature it's not for the wild wild magic Barbarian specifically but um this is any Barbarian so she should be getting a plus six bonus to De to initiative and can't be surprised pretty cool right let's check through these features once per long rest only uh that's a shame this can help can help and that okay in combat once per short rest I feel like I should be able to use this at any point considering it's just a one turn bonus uh yeah quite hard to predict when to use that and I can't ra and use that at the same time anyway let's just check her items I probably don't need to change that much just want to make sure I haven't got any heavy armor equipped this medium armor I don't need this anymore because she can she can use Reckless attack so let's take that off um I will be wearing that maybe don't use it that often deals any of those damages she probably won't be um she's using great weapons so no no plus one bonus to many attack rolls I'll equip that for now she can't use this while raging which is sad all that probably that's good all that yeah I need to find some probably different things to give her that wouldn't be so bad I don't think if few extra hit points no that can be okay but it's only the one attack per long rest I don't need it on permanently no no no no no no yeah let's stick um this one on then any other Rings nope uh no point in that no point in that no point in that so she won't be healing others no saving th not casting spells can't cast spells nope no don't need I guess this one will be fine yeah so you can basally mini body inspiration yeah let's have a look at these no maybe a she's got a lot of useful a bonus action though I might just leave this on even though she can't always miss the step but not being able to be in webbed and Tang Ang and sned is quite useful all right now sticking with the World Magic theme as ever heading out as much as I love will being this Warlock and I really do actually pack to the to is pretty cool we've got all of these extra uh spells and I have been using them I don't think I've actually played a wild magic sorcerer yet I shall be here in like as so I'm going to go for that for will I'm going to leave Starin as a monk and my guy is a Bard uh sorcerer we are C trips go away um do I need light maybe it's good for someone to have light to be honest give you that I'll stick with wild magic actually now he's a human so I don't necessarily need Mage Armor if I can find some decent light armor he's going to be be able to wield a shield as well so perhaps I don't need Mage Armor at the beginning magic missiles always useful for level one I'm going to get to quite high levels already I'm not going to bother with these lower level spells that I won't use at the higher levels uh at least switch those over don't need that probably prefer wisdom I can take this that's fine the light armor does kind of suck but I mean it's other I mean yeah I don't think I've got any robes at the moment uh I forgot what actor does performance Inception I think so let's do that hello L thank you it's true RM and I actually picked up one of those already I haven't got the potent robes yet I only even I haven't really spoking to uh Al um all right spell I've already got feather fall from the boots I think having jump is actually a good choice twin is always I think probably the best out of these I don't know what spells I'm going to take that's my problem I haven't thought about it ahead of time extended or distant extended all right spells level two spells good stuff sorcerer sorcerer sorcerer twinning hold person is going to be amazing yeah or extended perhaps maybe I should take sleep extended sleep is actually oh they can wake each other up shove shove each other right um I mean this has to be quick and spell I think there just not much Choice here I mean there is obviously a choice but I think it's clearly the best AC did I get this correct deception and performance good right spells I've got twined and extended [Music] blindness I haven't picked up blindness in a while hope I use it all right um Mage hand actually no I've already got Mage hand on sh grasp or fireb fireb why not level three wind taste on a star in and BLS out there's almost no choice there s spell equals no silence what you mean what you mean by no silence I mean with subtle spell silence doesn't matter put it that way yeah I quite like the Spells I've picked b b Lu say bad luck give a Target one for bonus or penalty H that's kind of cool takes up two sorcery points there right twin twin twin I mean someone has to have Fireball or lightning bolt uh too many good spells I hate level three spells I mean I love them it's hard picking them and I do need some area of effect spells for this part of the game Soler points level four spells let's see o twin banishment confusions generally all right three turns is actually quite good can't choose between banishment or confusion I mean banishment is good for single targets confusion is good for groups I might go with confusion this level domate Beast um do you know what I haven't really taken it before there are some beasts in the high air and beasts do appear throughout the game but I probably wouldn't take it on a sorcerer we only got a limited number of spells known that's the main problem I'm going to go with confusion I think I'm just thinking about the fight with um house going into the when he goes into the portal that might be useful here when that fight anyway all right I've now got to go check if I've got any half decent light armor cuz I might not um put that on for [Music] now light [Music] armor Shield ofion spell slot depleted what hang on a second why can't I cast anything uh boots all right go away let's give him some maybe boots of speed yeah I know I doesn't need to be proficient with this to be able to use that but I wonder if I've got a staff I can give him oo not bad not bad War Frost I don't think I've got many spells that do cold damage ice storm versus Fireball not particularly it's it's not bad it's but with lightning bolt at least you can double the damage if they'll w I'm going to go check out my uh chest can't remember what I've uh kept behind easy enough good point RM all right sort by type red and Grace no yeah what's this one sta of Arcane blessing not such a bad choice St sparkler perhaps need a one handed weapon just give this to him to give him resistance to ntic damage I do want a one-handed we ah the club of f giant strength I actually at this part of the game having the blood of leand on somebody is actually really quite useful and I get this bonus I might just leave this on him uh armors did I save any armors infernal rope poisonous rope well I can equip this one for now medium armor Sparks [Music] wall this one is almost better the plus one bonus to spell save DC is Su a class 16 I mean if I do put on protective Sparks wall I might have some Mage Armor Scrolls around keep buying them perhaps yeah it's actually just a regular mace in terms of damage plus three no it's not bad uh no 73+ one fine no no why was Rings actually uh yes I should keep that on uh that could be useful if I'm ever L up I suppose it's good to have I've already got magic missiles selected plus one bonus of spell attack rolls fine yeah wisdom saving throws amazing yeah it's actually not bad starting to wonder whether she advantage on Constitution checks is good because as a sorcerer he is proficient in Constitution saing throws as well r spell attack plus one well let's see how this goes is this just automatic H let's get out of here for now scratch oh scratch went away when I respect him okay no one back home will ever believe this need to recast this the pride of the gate uh can Now cast jump or enhance Leep outside of combat which is actually very useful all be here we go you think lar should change the extra bonus action to something else um I just don't know what else they could change it to in one sense yes because it makes the thief is aess probably an animal's doing Ellie May my light my yeah I was just thinking it makes the thief almost one of the best multi class options for many many different classes let's give it a safe before I mess anything up oh have I got to speak with animals going no let's go I love my ritual spells all right it's a nice compromise actually putting a higher level where lies your guilt the weing Mo ready yourself for a fight no um um just in case don't remember how many I have oh eight of them now okay few who can also commune with the dead and I have met few who stand so so tall and fearless in the face of the unknown be on your way brave soul I think T braw should be changed it's just too obviously like it's obviously too much better than perhaps this one could assist us many other Feats such a massive bonus to attack lie silent The Raven asks speak their voice what are you talking about forgive me it has been some time since I spoke to another this woman tended a bar where she took her patrons yes inwi confidence promised their secrets were safe with her yeah yet she turned their words into knives and stabed them yeah if they just added it as a plus bonus of damage I died because of her that's kind of fair enough day her victims lie unavenged but getting like two times your strength bonus to attack that's just like oh like an extra plus it's like having a plus4 weapon she's dead how more she can pay is not the end merely another beginning I seek a record of this one's crimes written in her own hand through it I can summon her frency bonus damage is fine it scales with level face trial for her crimes and it kind of feels rewarding as you level up as well some power what do you need me to do let's do go to The Distillery the calls the waning moon find The Ledger and bring level you up shouldn't I sharp as okay spell I do wonder whether I should pick either a damaging spell another one apart from Fireball counter spell counter spell is so good I know it's not a level four spell banishment is good as well feets I mean one obvious feet is just putting his Charisma up to 19 up to 20 but moderately armored means I can give him some pretty good medium armor but I mean h Hello Zach Ze no I mean I only attacked with my C trips that the only spells I have with attack RS are C trps just feel like taking something a bit different I mean chisma plus 2 is the obvious good thing fire since I've got Fireball Firebolt increases the damage a tiny tiny bit alert actually is also a very good choice hm let good point R room probably will do solve most [Music] problems difficult I don't think I've got anyone with counter spell and I think it's such an important spell to have in the party yeah want to replace a spell always going to be useful always going to be useful going to be useful I like blindness because it is in concentration it can affect anyone I don't really want I've already got three concentration spells is more than enough for a sorcerer going leave it like that but where's the Damned off I didn't really want to explore the town just want to open up the way point oh there's one next to munise Towers isn't there let's just go south I might level eight I do get level four spell ah you see you should have taken confusion on the Bard and then banishment on the sorcerer bit of a shame don't have very many level four spells here on the board just bloody five polymorph that can be pretty useful do I want to change anything don't remember the last time I used Thunder Wave it's good to have I really don't remember the last time I used plant growth let's just see what alternative I could have to plant growth I mean the level three spell would be useful hypnotic pattern any last two turns hello cam I'm doing very well thank you how are you stinking Cloud oh wish this was just anywhere within range not that you can see it's not bad but I mean two people with Misty steppers well I suppose you need two people missed the step yeah I do like the lards because we get extra magical Secrets as well I'm going to go with confusion I think so I just haven't been using plant growth at all I don't know if it's the best idea or not beat I mean dexterity plus two just feels like oh wait no he's got this armor which already puts up to 20 so I feel like I'm kind of at uh I got could go for another alert it's always going to be good lucky T ruler but I don't have the strength for it I took a level and Ranger to get PRC medium armor mostly but also I got um proficiency and heavy armor and the weapons aren't so weren't so important important and find familiar as well wisdom's not a bad choice either you're right helps Armor class even just feel like I want to do something different dungeon Delver this just not good enough for to me it's not good enough for a um a fe Constitution well if I had an Constitution maybe I'll take that can't use that can't use that uh no maybe lucky M Slayer I'm going to go with lucky and then lasel should be next so I really want to put that strength up so I think I'm going to give her athlete what other choices do I have for plus strength there weapon Master but she's already proficient with all weapons T brawler I mean if I throw something maybe I can get her to start throwing stuff yeah dungeon D needs a plus one to something uh plus one plus one don't think many of these have plus one strength mobile wouldn't be so bad just to get her at the extra movement speed armor Master doesn't give strength sadly none of these do no no heavily armored but if she wears heavy armor she loses her benefits of being a Barbarian so I don't really want that yeah it's going to be athlete stuff yeah Sentinel is all right but I really want to round off uh even off I suppose the strength at this moment I was heading south is to get away Find A Way Forward anything of use that's where yeah that's not really worth enough I've got enough money anyway yeah is that is great um I guess I could
