- Hello my darling. This is Cheryl Porter, singer and your Vocal Coach and you're all in my thoughts and prayers. Lord have mercy. What is happening? What is happening? I'm sending all of you
my love, my support, praying for everybody all over the world. Everybody is closed in the house, can't go nowhere. Trying to be careful and you
guys continue to be careful and be mindful of what's
going on in this world and pray for everybody. We need prayer right now y'all. We're in this house, but you know what? It's a good time to study. It's a good time to dedicate ourselves to things that we never
thought we'd have time to do. I wrote for you guys three vocal exercises that are fantastic and
they are vocal exercises that are also gonna help us to remember to be mindful of what to do in this time of crisis. These three exercises are so fun and they're so effective, but more so, it has that
message of everything that we're gonna do today. So the first vocal exercise
is called Six Feet Away. So remember everybody, in America and all over the world now, the most important thing is that social distancing is so
difficult because you know, I love to hug people. The most difficult thing for me is this social distancing because I can't hug nobody. But we have to remember to
keep that social distancing so that we can make sure that we're safe. And more than anything we're
keeping everybody else say. So this exercise is working
on our vocal agility. It's working on our intonation, it's working on our vocal power. So the exercise says, don't touch my face, don't touch my eyes, six feet away, and I will wash my hands. We're working on that vocal agility and it's also a registered change. So it goes like this; (bouncy piano music) ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash (laughs) ♪ So listen, don't touch my face, don't touch my eyes, six feet away. And you gotta make sure you
get that agility on that and no coming down. And I will wash.. say to that head, register or mix my end. Let's do it. ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch me eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face. ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ Go baby
(upbeat music) ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ ♪ Don't touch my face ♪ ♪ Don't touch my eyes ♪ ♪ Six feet away ♪ ♪ And I will ♪ ♪ Wash my hands ♪ (upbeat music) That's right baby. You remember, you remember. Six feet away. I'm gonna wash my hands.
