and your vocal coach, and guess what? I'm here with my mama Christine! Say hi, mama! Hi! And I'm not going to sing! Yes, you are! No, I'm not! Mama! I cannot sing! Mama, this is a video of me teaching you to sing. You gotta sing something, you gonna try? Yeah. You are?!? I'm gonna be showing my mother today how to
sing, I can't believe she said yes. Because she said she was not going to sing. But I wanted to teach my mama some vocal technique,
because anybody can learn to sing. Ain't that right, mama? Ah, yes! We're just gonna start off with a vocal Warmup. Ok? We're gonna start off with an MI ME MA MO MU. All of that? All of that! You say it. Exactly! See, I told you my mama got this! Oh shucks! I'm sick of this already! Was it too difficult? Yes! You did good the first couple of ones. I know. You like to sing mama? No! Did you ever sing in the church choir? Yes! Then you like to sing then. No. They forced me into the church choir.
They made me sing. They made you? They made me try to sing. And did you like it when you were singing? Heavens no. I remember when you were singing in the choir. I know you did. You used to rehearse at home. You used to rehearse walking down the aisle cuz Y'all would walk in with the choir Y'all would walk in dancing. And I'd walk in wrong. Ok. I'm going to give you another exercise. You better hurry up, cuz I'm getting tired
of this already. I know. I'm trying. I'm trying, Mama. OK. So this is a good one. This exercise helps you with your chest voice
and your vocal power. We're gonna go HEY, STOP IT! You're good at that. You're good at telling people to stop it! That's it! Go, mama! That's it. Again! I'm tired of saying that. Find something else for me to sing. You want one that's harder or easier? No, easier! Alright, let's see what we can do. Yeah, you better try it cuz I'm getting tired. I'm gone quit on you! You gotta be determined. You gotta be motivated, so you can improve your voice and sing. But I told you I don't want to sing! Anybody can sing, mama. Except me! Well, I think you sounded good on that last exercise. Yeah right. You have the power, the voice was supported. It was good! Will you pay me for doing this? Are you ready for the next exercise? Not really. This one goes IEAOU. Tempo! Smile! I'm tired of this stuff. OK. I'm gonna let you rest cuz I know you gotta go to the casino tonight with your friends. Yes, I have. So how was your first voice lesson? I was made to do it. I was forced to do it. Cuz it's people out there of all ages and
they wanna sing. Y'all can see my mama can do these exercises,
Y'all can do these exercises too. She didn't even want to do it, but she did
