I'm not gonna be good at this oh no oh no um hmm [Music] foreign hey guys and welcome to GT not live where we're back for more poppy playtime chapter 2 flying the web so this is our part two of chapter two of poppy playtime so I am a queen today I came equipped I came equipped with my two liter of Harris Teeter diet cola which as anyone who watches food Theory knows is the ultimate form of diet cola I've got my big old cup from Dickies Barbecue got my Dickies cup and my giant 2 liter they're very North Carolina today the Dickies plastic cup is a staple of any Carolinian household it's the staple of any like it's funny that you say that because this is actually from Ohio they got Dickies in Ohio oh do they have Dickies in Ohio see in Ohio Dickies is like top tier barbecue really that hurts I I mean it is Ohio it's Ohio that's what we got you know like that's that's kind of one of our main selections right whereas down here barbecue is like it runs through like literally you open up a vein and yeah and coleslaw seeps out coleslaw seeps out of the wound followed by you know apple cider vinegar you know well that's up for debate sure it depends on what part of Carolina we're slicing into the arm of right for slicing in the arms this part of Carolina apple cider vinegar slicing into your part of Carolina it's what like brown sugar uh what tomato I think it's I think yours is tomatoes yeah you tomato based sauces yeah uh the debate in the South around what is the official form of barbecue a hotly contested and it's weird because especially in North Carolina not even the state can agree like the state is divided down like the midpoint of like where the vinegar people where the actual like tomato based sauce people I want to say East Coast is vinegar and west coast is tomato that is correct yeah I know East Coast is vinegar Coast yeah West Coast there is an East Coast but there is not a West Coast right yes the West yes and the tail the like extended whatever you want to call it the the flagellum of North Carolina do you have a preference which one do you like more uh you know I I don't equate them all as the same thing like I know that North Carolina is very insistent like this is barbecue to me I I'm coming from the north where it was just Sauced barbecue like barbecue ribs just had like a bunch of sauce slathered on them yeah I'm I'm I have no horse in this race I like them all they are all delicious for my tum tum yeah all of it it's gonna go in I will say no offense to Arkansas when we moved out to California we did a road trip and we did a barbecue tour I believe it was Arkansas had a or like that area at least maybe Missouri I I forget but somewhere around that kind of like that midpoint before you hit Texas had a mustard-based barbecue sauce yeah that was not my favorite that was the one of all of them like I don't really care for this one yeah all the rest of all you know Texas had the brisket you know some hearty barbecue sauces there great uh California has tri-tip which was really solid yeah tri-tip is kind of a California's thing when you were out there with St Jude I didn't have a chance to take you to Wood Ranch but basically I forced everyone to go to Wood Ranch with me okay which is like the ultimate California barbecue because it's it's basically like a steak but with really good sauce on it yeah no so in in the in the north man we don't really have barbecue yeah we do ribs we do rib burn offs do you do rib burn-offs down here we all have no I guess chili is a southern thing too yeah you have you have pig Pickens yeah where you get a pig it's disgusting it's pretty gross I I've never been I've seen the photos and I've seen videos I I don't know it is literally pig on a spit bear well not Bear gloved Hands glove again you're just picking the literally picking the posted Pig apart yeah that's weird yeah it's weird like in Ohio if we're you know doing anything with our pigs it's we're taking all the ribs and we're throwing them on giant grills and we're doing a rib burn off our ribs pigs or cows uh it depends uh you can you can have both yeah beef there are beef ribs I guess both animals have ribs yeah it's human ribs too yeah you want you want my human ribs not gonna be very meaty unfortunately you think so no like a lot of cartilage collagenous right really to be to be fair and honestly maybe I should tell that to Mommy Long Legs I should be like hey I know you're really excited to consume My Flesh because you haven't eaten in a long time yeah but a lot of cartilage I'm just all cartilage I was up late watching seal videos last night yeah they're a lot of meat really seals are mostly meat you were up late watching seal videos last night like that animal not the recording artist what were you watching them I was confused when you first then I'm like I know Batman has experienced a Resurgence because the new Batman movie so like was he watching Kiss From A Rose no no the animal the blubbery animal what were you watching it started it started I'm so confusing this is what is this what the young people do in their evenings at this point watch seal video kind of okay well it started with because I was busy watching Multiverse Madness but apparently my friend told me about this video of a dude boxing a kangaroo oh kangaroos will wreck you we were talking about how scary kangaroos are you'll get ripped yeah oh they're intense um and then no mercy they're really scared well you know why kangaroos are like that yeah no I don't well it's survival to the of the fittest like to the extreme or female kangaroos will only mate with the scariest looking male kangaroo that makes sense and so like it's just like this crazy funnel of like the most testosterone having buff kangaroos that's crazy yeah man um but then we started watching seal videos because we realized how big seals are big is it popular or like math just math yeah it's huge they're like big balls of blubber and muscle yeah yeah you know they in the way that they move is that they just do the worm yeah right now yeah flop around uh or first and they were bark oh yeah they do uh the so last thing uh Long Beach uh Long Beach Aquarium uh out not too too far from our house in California um very interesting in terms of like the difference between seals and sea lions which I always thought was one of the same thing but actually there's a lot of subtle differences between like hair pattern flipper patterns Holly bark right uh snouts yeah all of that stuff is that walruses walruses are different in time walruses have the tusks you're thinking tusks okay yeah and that's that's a walrus which is also part of that but also different so there you go seals sea lions walruses blubber cartilage Rib burnoffs barbecue good conversation let's play a game shall we uh so when last wait that's not the game okay what oh if that's oh okay that's the game there it is that's the one the musical memory puzzle which was basically Simon Says on steroids we met Bonzo bunny which was really fun mommy well I am in love with Mommy long legs uh and not for all the reasons that the rest of the internet is in love with Mommy long legs or maybe it is I don't know maybe it is um I I think the character design is really cool here we got a couple trophies along the way and now we're heading into our next round of challenges uh uh so that is where we're headed to next but before but before we do I just wanted to do a quick look I'm not seeing anything one of the things that we have now is we have these trophies and I found the Buns though I keep saying Bonzo bunzo bunny there's a lot of these trophies and the train trophy so there's a couple of them so be on the lookout for those uh we also are collecting the train code and I still haven't gotten a chance to read this so that is on my to-do list in life there we go so let's fire up the next challenge shall we shall we child between the ages of two months and 16 years is eligible for entry into the Playtime Co Foster and adoptive care initiative so they are still forwarding the whole like hey playtime Co is is bringing kids into the fold to make into you know child slaves I guess child toys uh okay and Storage lots of grab packs why am I allowed in here hmm I it is I mean my theorist and like achievement hunting senses are tingling because it's like why would they open up this random room for me unless there was something like hidden inside but it doesn't look like there is huh I guess not maybe I feel free to cut all of that Matt cut it all I did it once zero deaths we did we learned a lot of lore no the the positive of that was actually there was a lot of lore that came out of the death screen specifically like where the Prototype we've escaped our Escape apparently uh prompted some sort of emergency alert lockdown system and it seems like it's related to us it doesn't seem like it's related to any of these other ones because you have he rescued us and so that's pop if this is Poppy speaking during the cut scenes or the death screens then it's referring to us because we just rescued poppy it's very interesting that being said I never want to play that again that was the worst that that was garbage here we go all right oh man I just want to savor this moment oh hey here's the grandpa so that's the missing grab pack that we saw in that that Supply Closet earlier it's funny going back to the mouse I was playing with this mouth is so much stiffer than the other Mouse is really interesting which it doesn't seem to matter for like 99 of the gameplay just saying okay okay oh I saw this in a trailer I know how to beat this because I saw it in the trailer maybe I need to like it's a video game and you're supposed to fight every enemy but the optimal strategy is to just run past everyone if you want to do it hey bud let's do it let's do it what is he doing he's just did you see everyone give me a hard time about the trophies last yeah did you see everyone give me a hard time about the trophies Matt I would also like to take responsibility thank you because neither of us well also in our Collective defense they're like oh there was that trophy at the very beginning of the flower that he was like looking at it was on the desk and this and that and while that's true at that point trophies had not been established there was no like oh this gold thing is an obvious trophy collectible like that was not a thing that existed to be fair in my own self-defense I just liked the one part where we're like well where you're like I wonder if there are any trophies yeah that was and they're looking directly right there that one maybe a little wait no that one we didn't know that trophies existed either at that point maybe I don't remember no we realized that trophies existed when we got to the playground area and in the playground area I found something in the tube and I'm like oh there are trophies so I think people are like conflating order of events with our playthrough where it's like oh he missed all these things that were so obvious I didn't know that trophies were and in chapter one there was no such thing as a trophy just saying in my defense also video games are hard in front of an audience wow and we're trying to be funny and charismatic is that what I'm supposed to be doing trying was the key word oh okay so I guess I'm allowed to move we did it hopefully maybe is it can he still jump scare me up here should I still be think at this point it's a self-perpetuating cycle it's this idea of he is references to him and his work is so prevalent in pop culture that you in order to understand or like have a robust knowledge of these kind of core pieces of literature you have to read his stuff and then but if that's all you're learning it just perpetuates this cycle right and so it's like oh well West Side Story is Romeo and Juliet so you have to read Romeo and Juliet to understand but also like well if you had showed me like the imaginary invalid or like some you know the the Wolves by volpone or something like that you know like whatever now that could then be my Inspiration Point as opposed to always Shakespeare all the time right but I think it's because so much of media and reference points is Shakespeare that's why it perpetuates I the other thing that I think is delightful is the fact that like we're teaching the works of this guy and yet then like as you finish up your course on him or whatever it's uh okay blue spider big spider manager so you're right Matt uh if if the credits are correct big spider manager I'm assuming is referencing the guy who is in charge of that that final tape talking about the hand so that was the big spider that being said just refer to it as experiment 1006 so his his big spider one zero zero six then hmm I don't know so obviously there were a bunch of journal entries I guess or kind of like paperwork that was a little bit challenging to read so we'll have to hop back in and figure out just a way to clean it up um so in the eventual theory that we do on chapter two what we see what we learn where we're headed next um that'll be a big part of it is just cleaning up a couple of those documents I think we might have missed a couple things getting a trophy [Music] oh ah the merch collection of course I'm like wait a minute there it is that makes sense you want to lose that I'm gonna cut that I'll be cutting that look I think that's a good call ah it's the merch of course cool so yeah um that's poppy playtime too I thought it was I thought it was great I thought from a like gameplay standpoint the puzzles were cool you know they were there were challenging bits in there it was fun it was the right this one felt more fully fleshed out than the first one which was very much kind of walking simulatory this one had mechanics it had puzzles uh it was it was good I I I'm always game for more puzzles and more gameplay obviously but this was about the right amount uh I'm sad to see Mommy Long Legs go because I thought she was fantastic as a character and as a villain the character designs in general really really good really creative um hard and hard too uh you know the chain sequence obviously a lot of trial and error uh which can get frustrating you know when there's very tight Windows of reaction uh whereas it felt like the Huggy Chase from chapter one had a little bit more leeway to kind of figure your way out but that's fine um you know as long as you're not losing a lot of progress and you're able to restart quickly which you are it's not a big deal um but yeah I I thought it was a solid follow-up I you know and I I think some of the decisions that the team has made around like how to merchandise yay you know a bit premature and don't love some of the decisions that they've gone to and they've dialed back some of that but overall I think it's it's really Stellar uh it's a it's a cool world fun mechanics really cool design uh and I'm excited I'm excited to see what chapter three has in store I'm curious where they go from here I'm also really curious where you know what what the what our Theory will point to you know once we've gotten a chance to really dig back through all the files all the videos the video is unlike the first time where the videos felt very lore heavy this one they felt almost more jokey um and meemish whereas the the lore seems still to be hidden in the kind of transition screens and the death screens um we got one that needs to be decoded just to double check what the code there is uh so there's a lot to dig into but across the board really solid uh so that my friends is Poppy playtime chapter two I'll be going back and finding all the trophies that I was staring straight at and didn't collect so you can rest assured that I will do my best not to miss any totems in the
