Can I ESCAPE Mommy Long Legs? | Project Playtime (Poppy Playtime)

so they're building the toys to make more like me that's interesting oh Survivor spotted oh look at my buddy look at it wave your hands in the air like you just don't care whoa [Music] hey guys and welcome to GT not live for today it is play time with all of Team theorists it is Poppy playtime day uh but not not it's not poppy playtime though it's project playtime so in lieu of them releasing chapter three which presumably needs a little bit more time to work on uh it also probably doesn't monetize as well my prediction um uh mob games creators of poppy playtime have released the newest iteration of the poppy playtime series which is this multiplayer experience called a project playtime uh where as I understand it and and anyone on the Discord we're talking to each other on the Discord uh feel free to correct me on this but we are working as employees at the factory and we're all with our grab packs and we're avoiding monsters to make toys is is that an accurate assessment what's going on does anyone know what's actually going on here or am I just talking out to the evening we are we are extra action experts designed to and we have been brought in to collect toy parts to build giant toys for fun and joy that is ourselves like like the giant uh huggable teddy bears that you get at like FAO Schwartz and you're like oh I love this thing and then you look surprised saying you're like oh my gosh this thing is way too expensive exactly it's more like Build-A-Bear Builder we we pumped their little hearts and then put it into their chest I always thought that was weird as far as they're building perfect yeah right it's pretty terrifying uh as you might have noticed we are joined by other members of Team theorist here uh because this is a multiplayer game and who else but your fellow employees uh do you wanna do you want to play with on the in the middle of a Tuesday morning so uh who do we got on the line we got Dan yes hi hello it is me head editor Dan here we've got uh Mr Dapper Tom howdy y'all ah that is a British hello that is British man doing a Southern accent question mark question mark it's a big question mark Thompson you know you know Tom's making big choices here today he's making big choice not all the choices are gonna work but they're big uh just like the big toys that apparently we're building uh we also have Amy yo a lot more big choices being made uh Ash Ash is actually getting to play with us hello everyone excellent and then last but certainly not least is Sam certainly not least dare I say most and and I believe as Ash told me there's also one random person who's just gonna be thrown into the mix yeah so they're gonna be exposed to a wild experience oh those those poor souls don't know what they're getting themselves into uh so there's no in-game chat right no that's not okay we're just gonna see us hunting lore and just be like what are these horrible players doing I am carrying this team what is going on all these other all these other rejects uh so yeah oh go ahead Dan I was gonna say so if one of us is the monster we're all gonna do an agreement to lore hunt first so we'll just all like as a group go over with the monster to look at things yes yes we'll all explore together it'll be amazing um we're just going to ruin this person's day yeah so so basically the long and short of it is uh this is uh poppy playtime meets fortnite and we are ignoring pretty much all the competitive elements of it at least to begin with uh so that way as you've just heard that way we can figure out the lore of the game game uh is I'm assuming there's war in this I don't know is there lore in this game Dapper Tom you Southern gentleman you uh do you know is there lore in this game that we're gonna be hunting or no uh I don't know about in-game they're the opening and tutorial has given us a lot of law already there is a VHS take to be found which drops law um but other than that tutorial or I uh not in the tutorial there's not a VHS if you on the main menu there's a screening room yes if you go in there there is a locked VHS so I believe that is to be found okay so we have to that we'll drive that somewhere okay if the VHS is there anything to go by in the previous games there will be lore attached to that and whether but we we can explore the environment and see if there's anything there I'm unsure if there's stuff in like in the actual game modes okay we'll find out today cool sounds good so uh before things start I'm gonna put all of Team theorists on hold uh so we can actually do some tutorials here because I see the survival Survivor tutorial Monster tutorial so I guess you can play as both um and then we'll rejoin with you guys as soon as I am trained up in the game and have explored whatever lore exists there yeah you didn't play the tutorial before unprofessional I'm out I just sit on the couch when my schedule tells me to sit on the couch and if I'm told that there's lore there then I need to engage with the Lord and you don't want me to have inorganic reactions on camera dude no no no you right you're right I think you're implying that like I should have done purposes it's just you great here's the job you need to collect toy parts to make a giant toy get that giant toy on the train then leave okay there's a big pillar in front of you with three puzzles on it when you solve all of the puzzles the pillar will dispense one of the toy parts that seems inefficient go ahead and get started before work remember stretch before work okay so this is the new guy that was in the trailers um I believe everyone's been calling him boxy boo it's a it's an odd name I wish he doesn't have a voice otherwise we could we could do his little voice box which is a bit unfortunate so there's boxy boo I don't love the name boxy boot gotta admit hug you Huggy buggy Mommy Long Legs I feel that box boo yeah what else we got so we got cat B oh and Spilled the paint everywhere that's a great little detail I love that what else do we have Safety First safety glasses must be worn okay high voltage there's a boxy boo trying to open up things irresponsibly what else we got first aid cool random yellow paint over here just in the process of being made there's Mommy Long Legs serving as a good safety advisor uh I got the store nope I think here some Boogie bites soda mask all the merch all the merch for days I love how themed everything is it's really I mean here's the thing it's really well done and they've done a really good job of like transitioning all the characters into different like graphics and and different elements of the world okay so let's play this all right and this one great easy okay oh what Simon says okay I love that every game nowadays has devolved into sunsets so I said with security breach too perfect okay oh wow the sequence goes on forever let's go yeah okay so I gotta do all three for it to dispense apart sure okay you have a button lights up hit it immediately so this is a reaction test that's it okay oh this is this is so much easier yep hit the button wow that was that was very simple okay these buttons are all gonna flash randomly to generate a code okay at the end it'll settle on a code which will flash three times in a row oh okay are the button to complete the puzzles you'll need to put okay sure oh geez oh wow okay thank you oh that that is hard okay it was like two good there's the toy part there's always a deposit somewhere nearby oh there's I didn't touch the toy part in there it'll do the right okay I gotta say one of these puzzles is not like the others like this one is medium difficult that first one is so the the reaction was super easy this is hard you gotta do it twice and there's this gonna be attacking you that is challenging okay all right so now we gotta find a place to put it deposit okay so there it is through the wall here we go hold on okay it's not right see that door with the big orange handle uh yes okay yeah do I have to hold the chat or is it is it just shut shut it is pulled down oh here it goes air that big boy so this is before Huggy buggy has died apparently this is a prequel it's a cool I did it now what okay lift it close yeah be careful those doors don't hold shut for long either moving on okay it's a great good to know moving on hello so I go through I go through here the hooks take a few seconds to recharge so keep that in mind okay here we go I was bad at this end of the chapter too is where all the toy parts you've collected have been going okay now you've got enough for the whole Toy grab the handles on that pipe there and begin pulling see our Engineers set up this cool piping system that'll suction the toy straight from this machine right onto the train you'll have to do this every time you finish making a toy okay pull yeah I left it down with my little rubber band arms yeah okay so at the end of making your toy you have to lower this very slow pipe okay stop you see that Locker behind you the same side now yes you might want to hold your breath so he doesn't hear you is that a thing that can do do not press on door nothing in here ghost is clear get out of the box hold up one second extending it oh yeah no the reason we need people like you to get these parts is because these extraction sites aren't exactly secure no Auto revive me no Auto revive start looking oh no oh they threw me into the great oh Madden those two are still alive oh no oh lucky for you buddies I'll send bills to get you all out oh to retap there it is okay nice getting that pipe into place and get out okay this is cool so this is what every round is gonna be so you have to tap and then tap again to do it okay to get back on the person standing since okay cool this is a great tutorial I love that it's taking me through all these elements and I feel better equipped for everything assuming this train comes at some point trade trade hello oh there okay I I appreciate a lot of this I like that there's something to do while you're respawning I think that's really smart because that's always really boring right in normal games when you're just kind of waiting for someone to come get you and you're like well I'm just laying here I guess so the fact that there's like a little mini game remember simple right it's a lot to do that it's a lot so you have three how many pieces per how many pieces per toy oh fatal error we broke it great excellent the tutorial broke it we're done we're done here let me uh let me reload and oh no 9 5 12. hmm yeah but then there's the last one and this is this is what I saw I haven't actually watched this whole thing this is what I saw though was the the boxy boo coming out look at that that's great what a great shot oh no oh what a great reveal huh well you gotta man Jack in the boxes have oh I've never been well received they're my everyone's always the original jump scare the Jack in the Box terrifying Generations who thought that was fun there it is okay project playtime nice super fun okay so tutorial one definitely dug that okay here we go early access build clearly it's we're doing hmm so we're taking living toys and turning them into bigger living toys and that's what makes Huggy and Mommy Long Legs interesting interesting lore potential uh I'm very intrigued by where all this is going so anyway that being said I think now that we have our survivor mode figured out we got our monster mode figured out now it's time for us to uh hang out with the rest of Team theorist and actually hop in and play the game shall we so without any further Ado let's bring him out and let's hop into a match we're gonna do it guys our combined abilities aren't gonna be able to feeling a lot of puzzles like there's one puzzle that's really hard for my brain is it the one with the patterns yeah yeah that's wild I can do the wheel and I can do the um uh the music notes yeah one is like very simply match this one color and the other one is eight intricate patterns you guys are doing great you guys are doing great work also what's weird is I can see all your player names below me in this pit apparently so I'm in a pit but you're all below me so oh yeah that checks out I checked that makes sense oh I see your feet I see your footsteps uh-oh oh no not like this no no Elden ring roll watch for the attack roll wait your timing was off oh no I died I'm literally out oh that's so sad Sam Dan's good at the puzzle we suck at oh the three of us together might honestly make a third of them okay so now we know which ones to do yeah we all just we all just go around and we assign one puzzle Ash is just fodder wow wow I bet each of us go right I you just sold one puzzle on each thing and then move on to the next one I like I like that Tom here is like oh Ashley's just fatter when Ash is the first right he's the one who just literally died but I'm the one who you save your Dodge rolls professionalism I love just hearing Danielle professionalism and then the Roar of mummy long legs uh oh oh no okay huh I thought for a minute my hands were ever extending and it be known to everyone watching at home uh Sam one of our relatively newer hires uh has very quickly proven himself as the MVP of every team that he's on we did a group escape rooms and Sam was the MVP of his escape room we did a group golfing uh where we went to a driving range and Sam again decimated all the competition inexplicable Alyssa Alyssa did win with a broken foot she did looks absolutely dominated that's fair and and yes that that is that is accurate Alyssa is not on this call nor currently some of them were I was trying to make okay I was trying to make it easy for the the doctor has I mean it's very simple to say and I have to go back and re-analyze these but the doctor's deep kind of rasp kind of like that deep bass voice feels very similar sounds very similar to what we heard patient or a subject is one zero zero six speaking as at the beginning of of the tutorials um I don't know if it would be one of the same that seems like it would be weird but he does seem to be a guy who is in control and puppeteering everything else and we saw uh in one of the kind of loading screens that we saw one zero zero six's hand puppeteering mommy long legs so I don't know this is it this is cool I I like it and I got 720 tickets what can I do with the tickets can I buy stuff is that what you do with the type of thing I think you can buy skins and yeah and perks yeah perks are good I have to buy them how do you buy the toy box buy the toy box requires real money I think into the toy box uh appearance products and emotes are definitely buy perks yeah like it's like you know make it so the puzzles are easier make it so you get oh God ah who needs easier puzzles get out of here we were nailing those yeah coming soon absolutely store okay in the store oh in are people who are much better at it than we are and clearly we are attacking the game for a different purpose unless you're Tom in which case his purpose is to sabotage everyone else trying to solve the lore uh but otherwise so anyway guys that is uh part one I guess of project playtime we'll see how it continues to evolve and how it continues to update over time and how this and the lore inside of here balances out against the lore that we're seeing inside of the game's proper hopefully this isn't one of those situations like fortnite where like the the main the fortnite uh Battle Royale became so popular that they completely abandoned kind of like the one player Mission based stuff so I'm curious as mob games you know grows and as this becomes a thing how they're going to divide and conquer the two different like games that they've created here um hopefully they're servicing both I think that would be unwise for them to not because they're you know the first thing they created was so popular so we'll see how this whole thing evolves and shapes up uh but I tell you what really good first experience this is still early access so I'm sure that things are just gonna get cleaned
