hello lovely people welcome to the geek cup i am peng and welcome to youtubers live too so of course we know what this is all about don't we we played youtubers live um on the channel a while back now and i mean you know the name of the game sort of gives it away really doesn't it we become a youtuber we make videos we go to parties we win awards we make heaps of cash it's a bit like what i do here in the geek cupboard apart from the parties and the awards and the heaps of cash beer but yes we're back doing youtube stuff in the exciting sounding new tube city i see what you've done there and apparently fame and fortune await and also we can get a little scooter to zoom about the place on as well which sounds like a lot of fun it's on steam right now as always there is a link to the steam store page in the video description below and we were given a key to this by the publishers which is very kind so thank you publishers anyhow let's go and begin our new life as a youtuber okay here we go a mysterious door let's go through that okay so there's someone at a computer i assume i guess that's us and we're playing a game or are we recording a game i'm not entirely sure that is i'm pretty sure the space mansion house from youtuber's life omg that's the final house you can buy i think isn't it i'm pretty sure it is and it's doing some weird wishy space stuff we have our fist clenched in xavier congratulations you were the first to complete youtuber's life a social experiment to find the most promising future youtubers oh hang on a minute good grief this is all this is a little bit meta isn't it so we're playing a game right now about becoming a youtuber and in the game that we're playing right now we just played a game about becoming a youtuber and i'm recording it for a video that's going to be put up on youtube i think my brain just melted goodness me right okay xavier tell me more what is going on i'm a little bit befuddled right now your potential has caught our attention and so we are giving you a golden ticket to come and live in youtube city the city where the best youtubers live the perfect place for you to build your career and become one of the best it sounds very lovely okay so if you accept the invitation i will be waiting there for you to guide you in this new adventure do you accept the challenge of course it's my dream absolutely oh oh we get a choice of where we'd like to live we can live in the downtown area so the high-tech neighborhood known for its video game stores pc component stores and its gym okay so there's all sorts of recommended things down here so i guess there's a house there's a gym there's some sort of nice places to eat there's electronic stores there's a clothing store okay downtown seems to be quite good because i think we are going to go down the whole sort of you know video game youtuber route it seems to make sense given that that's what we do in the geek cupboard okay then we've got city hall okay it's the most traditional neighborhood it stands out for its luxury stores and restaurant the traveling fair and of course the city hall okay looks very nice there's a fancy statue okay okay then down here is the port the chill out neighborhood it's the most modern one and is known for its hairdressers beach restaurants and the members only club okay right i think yeah downtown suits us best so okay let's go and live downtown then please i would love to start my new life in that neighborhood absolutely there we go good choice we'll start preparing your apartment you're just gonna get us an apartment wow okay thank you very much that's very kind dress up like a real youtuber and i'll see you there what does a real youtuber dress up like xavier i don't know i'm not entirely sure okay right here we go here we go right so we have to create our character and we have quite a lot of options body type eyes facial features mouth and beard hairstyle right okay let me let's get my sort of yeah let's get the physical appearance sorted and then we'll go and sort of put on you know glasses and we'll sort out headphones and what i'm wearing and such like but let's just get me looking at least a little bit like me oh that's quite nice if you want to play as an andorian or an orion then you can do so well done youtubers live too i'm very impressed and there we go i quite like that we've got the face and the eyes and the hair and such like done and i think that looks pretty good i think i would look a bit like this if i was somehow magically transported to new tube city i mean okay my eyes aren't quite that big and my hair is most definitely not as pointy as this although you know the grayness is about right unfortunately but there we go i am very happy with that however let's change our style around a little bit because i don't wear clothes like this so let's have a look so glasses i don't normally wear glasses i do on occasion let's have a quick look to see what we've got i mean do it look good in the glasses i don't think we're going to have glasses on although that is very exciting i do quite like that and those oh and they're hot pink they're a lovely hot pink color no we don't need glasses i don't think i'll go for glasses um however headphones okay do i want to go around the place wearing headphones i mean they've got little they've got little sort of cat ears on they're quite adorable i quite like those oh we can change the colors of those oh this is all very exciting there's much customization to be had i mean do i want to go around the place with headphones on all the time i'm not entirely sure um i quite like those i like the fact they've got pointy ears on let's go for let's go for those ones i quite like that okay right we'll go for some headphones then right here we go so torso what can we wear that is not this because i would not wear this kind of thing um i mean yeah that kind of you know like a like a jacket shirt combo i can sort of wear that let's have a look at what else it is i mean t-shirts t-shirts is a fairly standard sort of thing i do quite like that though i do quite like that i mean okay go for a sort of a lumberjack look that also looks pretty good we've got t-shirts going on quite like the t-shirts okay oh that that looks a little bit that looks a little bit like i'm from greece okay let's not let's not go for that one um yeah these are all sort of big coat type things um okay not those let's not go for those i don't think yeah let's go back to the one which we had um that one no that that's way too fashionable hang on a minute where was where was the other one it was back here somewhere was it that one no it's not that one hang on there that one there we'll go for that because i quite like that and then do we want to change the color oh hang on a second hang on they're sort of sort of geek covered corporate colors yes absolutely we will 100 go for that do you know what are the headphones can we make them geek cover corporate no we can have them blue however i do like that i like the pink though i like the pink and the purple options joe that's fine that's fine our clothes can be geek kaba corpora and all the other stuff can be your other colors right okay so uh bottoms what can we have here oh my goodness me there are many many things and we could go around it maybe not that look though that's a slightly bizarre look not that can we just have some jeans just have some regular jeans and could oh hang on hang on can we make them yellow that just looks that looks a little bit daft if we're being completely honest just a regular pair of jeans will do the job quite nicely or you can just go around in your underpants if you want to okay if that's what you want to do with your character in this game then you can go around the place in your smalls okie doke and we all just have some jeans i think so these are all the colors so let's go for let's go for a lighter blue so it's a bit more geek cuba corporate or that one there i quite like that i think that goes quite nicely we've got the geek cover corporate colors on the top there just regular jeans and it looks like our shoes are already geek cupboard corporate colored up which is wonderful look at that they've got the blue and the yellow i'm happy with those i quite like those oh hang on hang on hang on there's fluffy the slippers there are fluffy slippers we can go around the place in slippers everybody and i mean that's that sorted then isn't it we're gonna have the slippers please tell me we can buy more slippers because those are adorable but i'd like more slippers more animals on the front please maybe like a you know like a bear or a dolphin or something that'll be fun i'd like that okay right there we go oh can we get b slippers b slippers would be brilliant okay there we go i think our character is done i mean i do like those i like those for the geeker corporate colors but i'm not going to turn down a pair of slippers we're going to go around the place in a lovely pair of slippers so yeah there we go our character for youtubers life 2 is sorted okay i think this is us and we're getting off of a little train and we're at the hall station hooray a little jump of joy okay so now what do we do game okay we just got off of a train i think and that was kind of it was it oh and here we go this is new tube city welcome everybody it's even got pigeons it's got pigeons we're there in our slippers there's a little cat ah there's chappie there's xavier or whatever it's called hello there how are you excuse us we can hear you the music's turned off in our headphones uh welcome to new tube city this is your new home from now on this is very exciting it isn't very big inside but don't worry later on you'll be able to decorate and upgrade it as you like okay so that's implied to me that we stay in one property but make it bigger on the inside as it were sort of tardis-esque rather than buying multiple properties around the place you just have one and we kind of you know make it bigger and extend it and such like you know that's absolutely fine now go inside i've left you a present i've got to go we'll talk later okay right and we've just both magically disappeared okay that's fine magically disappearing is good and this is our place oh look and we can cupboardy sort of a wardrobe thing you know that is like a box of some description then we've got the bed bedside table alarm clock i do quite like the walls are okay i quite like the walls i'm okay with these sort of starry pattern on the walls they're quite nice the floor i mean the floor is okay it's not overly exciting but okay right here we go let's pick up this magical floating present then okay let us open the package and it's what is that what was that i'm not entitled what that is oh it's a little floaty robot thing oh this is exciting it's drone hello drone i'm can i call you floaty and now we live in youtube city and we're all unfamiliar with things we're not sure where we can get tea from anymore but of course we need tea because this is us this is us in this particular world so we need a cup of tea so maybe a hidden feature of tea bar here could be that you know they're able to dispense t to us as well as do recording duties so absolutely we shall call you t-bot because that's lovely oh and there we go look t-bot has got a proper name now loading personality as long as it includes you know the desire to make lots of tea that would be wonderful beep beep yep me okay first step learn how to record videos i mean you think you'd think this person's bought as an apartment you they might have checked that we could do that first before they you know splash the cash but doke right so how do we do this but before you do you need to create your new tube channel the platform where the best content creators post their videos okay welcome entering new tube we've connected to youtube it's all exciting okay register right so our name and our channel and then we've got to pick our birthday as well okay and a season okay okay that's fine so hang on we can go to 28 days so in this particular world every season has 28 days okay right let's go and set this up then there we go everything is nice and set up so our name is going to remain as peng of course it is but i have capitalized the p of page because it looks better like that and then our channel is going to be called the nerd wardrobe because i couldn't call it the geek cupboard i don't think my mind can cope with me sitting in the geek cupboard recording someone who is recording videos for a channel called the geek code it would melt my head a bit there's too much inception kind of level stuff going on there's too many sort of boxes stacked in boxes so yeah we're gonna have the nerd wardrobe because you know the geek cupboard the nerd wardrobe you know on a similar theme there i quite like that i like the idea of the nerd wardrobe and then the birthday i like autumn so i've picked the day in the middle of autumn so the 14th day of autumn my favorite month that can be my in-game birthday so there we go let us set up our wonderful new channel the nerd wardrobe as pens with this particular birthday so yep okey dokey tea bot says beep beep uh what a nice name penge as in me or the nerd wardrobe i'm not entirely sure would you like to test me out now okay can you make some tea please um i'm intrigued or surprise me uh okay no i am intrigued i'm intrigued what do we need to do this is a recording point for you to record videos you can find points like this one around the city okay so we look for those we can record videos okay beep beep right well you use a recording point to record your first introductory vlog for the channel oh no face cam um i'll record you okie doke i kind of get that right so side quest record the first vlog okay so what have we got going on so we have a time now so it's eight o'clock in the morning and it's monday on the first day of our shoom spring we have no subscribers full of energy and we have 100 coins okay so let's head over to this thing and let us record a video oh okay what we teleport into the circle um okay what what do we do though how do we do this ah okay right vlog level one okay it's gonna take us two hours good grief um okay right so click that so you start and oh no right hang on right you enter full of energy that seems about right okay so we enter full of energy box right he did those things you answer a hater from a previous video we've i've got any but okay um while oh yeah we don't swear you flatter yourself you think it's a good piece of information how about that one i don't know what that means but there you go so okay we're ticking boxes you thank your followers for their support and okay we're not gonna swear we're not gonna frater ourselves you have a laughing fit that sounds about right okay we'll have a laughing fit we've got a very big red face going on over there and sign off and it's over you ask for subscribers i i'm a bit adverse to asking for subscribers um but you know what maybe didn't like that whatever that face was there they didn't like now i don't know what those faces are along here t-bod you could have helped out a little bit there i'm not entirely sure and now we have to do the thing where we lock things together okay right this is uh this is where things tend to go a bit wrong but okay right we have to try and match things up as best we can with all of the clips do we because the clips are not sort of slotting into place hang on hang on what do we do with thick can we not move things around we used to move things around in the other one can we not can we not move things around uh it doesn't seem so it doesn't seem that we can move things so we've got two two three and one which i'll admit i don't fully understand but uh okay that's fine we'll roll with it we'll we'll we'll go with it it's fine yeah let's save whatever that was so yeah what are these faces here so we've got a kind of red sort of uh blowing a kiss heart face we've got you know like a sort of uh exciting sort of cool relaxed emoji face a clever emoji face because of glasses um a happy emoji face and then a love heart face with a star in it okay right hopefully t-bot will explain what these are because i have no idea what's going on there okay right we'll save that record your first vlog is complete could have possibly done with a bit of help there t-bot to be honest uh nice acting pens now we have to post your video on youtube okidoke uh first we'll touch it up by editing it on your computer and that's where the editing bit happens okey doke right so publish your first video okay let us edit the video here we go i remember yeah so that vlog this tool is the video editor you can use it to edit your videos and finish them by giving them your personal touch okie dokie the goal is to get as many points as possible make sure the clips connect to each other as well okay if you manage to connect it from the start to the end of the video you'll get a juicy bonus okay so do we we don't have a time limit on this do we later when you have a better pc with more rendering points you will be able to buy video effects and use them in your clips to boost your edits even more okido and now i'll let the creative genius unleash his imagination oh dear okay right so if we have that at the start that's quite good it doesn't look like time is ticking down right now so this is quite nice then we've got two points down there the only thing is have we got anywhere else with two points like that that could match to there hang on two might have to go like that like that oh this is this is gonna be terrible isn't it and then i got no no no not that one no no not that then that there because that matches then we've got the one with the two like that so that matches and then we've got that one there so it is going across to the ends we have got a little green line going all the way through but there are some bits that don't match but i don't think we can do much better than that right now um yeah okay right is that as done then is that just finished i'm not entirely sure okay publish that video then hopefully we've edited it choose the video thumbnail uh either we're on fire i don't know what that is or it's got arrows on it um okay i don't want to be that one what's this about why are we on fire we'll have that one with the pointy arrows please um add a title that describes your video um oh okay or choose a clickbait phrase okay no let's not do that so what are these fun hashtag home the end will make you roll on the floor laughing so visibility is something like that visibility is high subscribers morale um okay what does that mean they don't like that i assume subscribers don't like that so lots of people will see it but subscribers don't like it subscribers really really don't like it and subscribers absolutely hate this one because it's got a big red angry face okay maybe not that um let's just put um uh hi penj here welcome to hang on the nerd wardrobe if i spell it right they go just a nice nice lovely thing hang on and then um new hashtag newbie there you go look we can do that right publish that so hi pens here welcome to the okay this is fine so three star on recording one and a half on editing and half on trends so our overall score of our first video one and a half out of five do you know what i'll take it it could have been significantly worse publish your first video is complete okay beep beep grab your phone and install the new tube app you can check the video you just posted and see other youtubers rankings in the city your goal gain loads of subscribers yeah okay um how do we act there's our phone down there okay so let's install that and there we go so we can now look at that and go okay there we go so we can see that we are 100th out of 100 in the city we have no subscribers no views no coins no anything but there is our latest video with with three likes but no views i'm not entirely sure how that happens but okay fine go home new tube you're drunk right so we've done that so now what do you want to do we've checked out the app super exciting let's just have a run around we there we go beep beep did you know that i can also record commentary scripts on the computer i did not d-bot thank you for the information scripts for a type of video i don't know how to record without them uh xavier says there's a load of them hidden around the city okay every time you record with the script you improve its quality and this is how you get better clips and scores beat beep so we want to go and find a script shall we try a commentary video to see if you get the first 30 subscribers to a channel we can always give it a go t-bot okay so we've unlocked commentary so do we need to go and do we need to go and talk to t-bot we've got a side quest do we just go over to the computer then oh right we record a commentary on the computer okie dokie right i didn't know the commentary level one i don't know what this is doing what are we commentating on okay you start recording and you enter full of energy because that's what we do that's fight that's that's the pinged way a poltergeist appears and you're in chill mode you make a bad joke you have a laughing fit okay let's just have a laugh with the poltergeist that's fun so those things are happy you were merciless with the hater editing was terrible although to be fair the editing was impossible we had no middle point to link that card onto so yeah that was you know that was a little bit unfortunate okay never mind never we're still learning it's all good we are getting subscribers so pay attention you're already getting your subscribers we're close to go just a little more and there we go we've got 62 subscribers all of a sudden how did that happen from that video remember that you can watch your videos blow up on the app okay okay xavier xavier says ring that's very odd it's already midnight it's time to go to bed sleeping helps you get back your energy and progress the next day but i'm a youtuber i don't go to bed do until at least two in the morning there's editing to be done um okay you can stay awake until 4am but you won't be able to get all your energy back for the next day okay so at 4am that's it you know the carriage turns back into pumpkin and it's all over right okay that's fine good night penge i'll call you tomorrow morning to tell you something important okey-dokey right so i guess our new goal is go to bed okay right we can do this okay let's have a sleep um okay do we don't want to go under the covers put some pajamas on okay so our daily summary here we go so how did day one go so we got four coins from the first video we did the vlog four coins 35 subscribers and 72 views some colossal stuff going on that 35 subscribers from one video that had 72 views um and then three likes okay that's nice and then that weird commentary one which i'm not entirely sure what that is and we got three coins 28 subscribers 62 views three likes so these are our current goals are they so subscribers we need to get to 10 000 subscribers good grief and we've got 63 right now okay so a little way off that goal um our ranking is top 100 top 75 we're in the top 100 and we need to get to the top 75 and our house value is and fifty house values and we need to get to thirty thousand house values look it up yep we can do that we can absolutely work on that there so let's see what uh let's see what day two of life brings they go tuesday two spring year one even on normal days interesting things can happen today's trends okay cats deity of war i see what you've done there um honey play studios one really adventure and armored nucleus okay now why are they in different colors why is deity of war in a different colour to armored nucleus what are the colours signifying the purpley pink one signifying honey play studios and these blue ones are sort of indicating whatever the equivalent is of an xbox in this world or something i don't know i guess we'll find out t-bot teamwork please assist us okay save your hang on ring hey painter just for the videos you uploaded to your channel they're good but you might have noticed that they haven't gotten many visits i thought they were doing quite well to be fair and that's because they aren't trending check the daily trends to record and upload a video on them you'll get more visits and subscribers this way okay so check the trends on the phone okay so let's go and have a look so yeah we saw those trends pay attention to what's currently trending in the city cat seems to be quite popular and there's a little icon next to cats i don't quite know what that is they are split according to uh popularity into unknown okay so an unknown trend is kind of like that gray color normal is green well known as blue very well known is the sort of pop lovely hot sort of pink purpley color high profile is orange and trending topic is that kind of brown color there okay that's fine okay this is good now the deity of war game is pretty popular but when you see any high profile or trending topic trend you've got to go for it okay so we're going to start going on about cats okay trends change daily and you can also discover them around the city okay including popular trends in your content is the key to your videos getting loads of views and subscribers uh okay right hang up the phone then have you seen the highest training videos are about video games to record these kinds of videos you'll need to install a gaming corner in your home okay do we not have a gaming is it can we not play games there we can play games on a computer i'm doing it right now in a sort of weird way luckily for you i've already got one ready that you can install anywhere in your home okay so check trends done thank you so now i imagine yeah install a gaming corner in your room ah right okay new thing has appeared so h is for house add furniture add new workspace i assume a gaming corner so a gaming corner is a little sort of uh little table thing with some shells a screen uh a shelf above it i assume some sort of bean bag type thing and i guess a games console would go in there as well okay so we've got one of these so i think he's gifted us that so if we just buy that and then ah right we have to move it with the mouse okey doke right so this goes into a corner because it's called a gaming corner uh okay why is the bottom of it red the bottom of it being red in pla because that has to go on the wall page that's kind of how it works okay so rotate that round i mean let's just put it in this corner here because that would make sense okay yes pop that down perfect now you set up your gaming corner now all you need is a game and a console and you'll be able to start recording gaming videos hooray many youtubers post gaming content try to find the most popular video games by the way i've ordered you a game and a console so you can start oh crikey you're giving us all sorts of things you know it's it's very kind of you um go and speak to blair the girl in the player one video game store and she'll give them to you uh beep beep i just did an app with a map of the city on your phone oh thanks t-bot check the map if you don't want to get lost beep beep okay so now we've got that done so we need to go to the gaming shop okay so where is that then so there's the map thing uh maps okay so where do we live we live there and the gaming thing is just sort of it's in the building that's that's in front of our little house okay but that's fine we can we can deal with that um okay right let's um go and have a wander outside then this is exciting we actually get to leave our place and go and have a little one console on that thing so we can't have two that is specifically dedicated by the look of it to one console and then we can pop a couple of games over so one console two games okay right that is good upgrade games oh what does that do what does that do ah we can have more game storage oh okay i see and we can spend oh my goodness me a great big pile of money to store more consoles on that one thing i don't know why we can't just put another console just there and there's plenty of room there's plenty of space i assume we're going to keep that reserved keep it clear for a nice coaster and a skills we could do tutorials we could do first impressions we could do speed runs but yeah right now it's all about the game plays okay so what does that do level one gameplay a little bit of youtuber career there are certain celebrities and odd neighbors in youtube city why don't you go to meet them what do you mean odd neighbors how odd how odd i mean when they open the door are they going to be clothed i mean what level of oddness are we talking about i'm not entirely sure um okay meet ten neighbors goodness me okay right so we have to go around the place and have a chat to picked up 10 subs 21 views and a single coin however we do have our first dislike boo boo somebody's disliking the nerd wardrobe okay never mind that's absolutely fine we can't do much about it and then in terms of actual sort of uh positions where we are we are very very much last so what have we got three videos published 155 views 73 subscribers for us and the person in 99th has 107 subscribers 15 000 views and they've published 15 videos okay so is it what's it going how is this sort of the ranking ordered um it looks like it looks like it's very consistent so the more subscribers you have the more views you have by the look of it because yeah everyone's kind of going up so who's um who's number one hang on who's above us gabrielle sandbox jayden graphical adv and gabriel atar okay and then who's at the top who is number one so aaron hal ricco fun zaynatar joy good game okay oh look at that aaron hello aaron hal it's got over a million subscribers that's just showing off there's no 500 videos published and just just over 11 million views for a million subscribers good grief that seems slightly one colloids but okay okay that's absolutely fine i go to our position we're at the other end of the scale we are right down the bottom there never mind and i think let's just take a quick look at the map just to see what exactly has changed because yeah there are now a few extra bits and bobs on the map so chappie said that he'd put on markers for restaurants there's one there spicy ren the best spicy dishes in youtube city okay that looks very nice that's not too far away just over there and then we have this new place here afk the perfect bar for fans of video games and esports okay so we have ourselves an esport bar okay i like the sound of that that sounds very good there's our house of course and there's the video game shop place where we've got our stuff from and that person in there whose name i've completely forgotten already mia maya was it i can't run but there we go so that's where we get the games from that's where we can go and you know enjoy some other people playing esports and that's where we can go and get a bit of food do you know what though i think we will finish things up for now i think we're at a good point to wrap things up for the moment but when we come back next time we shall have a wonder about the town we'll do some exploring we'll see if we can find some people to chat to maybe make a few friends we'll have a word with the neighbors we'll try and avoid the odd neighbors that were mentioned because we're not entirely sure exactly how odd they are and of course we'll do some youtube recording and vlogs and all that kind of stuff as well and just see how we get on but i have to say it is lovely to be back it's not too dissimilar so far to youtuber's life omg which was a lot of fun to play so it's nice to see that it's not straight too far away from the roots of the game i suppose but of course as we play there will be all sorts of additional bits and bobs thrown in but right now it's very very lovely it's nice and familiar and it's all sort of happy and friendly so i'm loving being back here so
