really appreciate it this is gonna be reverse boss order if you're familiar with the terminology and I've seen the past GDQ runs of Super Metroid and Link to the Past this is gonna be a bit similar to that the difference is this game is linear so I'm gonna have to do some black magic over here yeah a lot of its let me introduce the couch I have limo file on the left in the middle Zehra the man and on the right show the rapper underscore and big shout outs to serve the man's actually because one day was bored and that's how this category became a thing true story yeah so in five four three two one rolling in all right everyone while you're in for a real treat we've got the Black Sheep Oh for the dkc categories this is reverse boss order and well it's gonna be pretty crazy I'm going to try it we're gonna try our best to explain all of what's gonna be happening and whatnot so this is right now this is looking really similar to in any percent run where in any percent what we do is we do a few wrong warps to make our way to world six and then beat the game well we are gonna be doing that but this is reverse boss order however it is impossible to start with schedule first so we have to go to the world six boss make our way downwards and save kay rule for last all right so what void is doing right now is he setting up the split up glitch alright first try nap warp that's really good good job so what this so the split up glitch what we're doing is we're loading Diddy into the games memory memory but not properly and we're taking and we're killing DK and so now the game thinks that did he's out while did well he dies over a pit the game thinks titties out even though he's playing his donkey really and donkeys in this glitched state to where if he takes damage um the games gonna try and load Diddy and bring him back like the game would but did he was never loaded properly so he'll just sit there and his ooh animation forever and that's a softlock so and so now what he's doing is we're gonna use a split up glitch later what he's doing is he's taking the steel keg and making an invisible object out of it and what the invisible object will do is it will take the ID of whatever spawns on screen next and it will change its parameters and we're gonna do is exactly what we do in any percent we're going to be going to this bonus we're gonna use this invisible object we've created to open that bonus therefore changing that bonus is exit value once and now we're gonna take advantage of the split-up which we did earlier if we can get this right and perfect we got both Kong's we got normal donkey and glitch Diddy or both we got bonus at the same time therefore changing this exit value once again so we've changed the exit value of that bonus twice and that sends us to six two and why did we need expresso for that well it's because donkey with inves can't he just can't make it to that bonus by himself so we need help from one of our animal buds to get there and this is the first of many visits to this level this level has become super broken thanks to this category picking up donkey here because after this level we're gonna be tempting the frame perfect' trick which requires sacrificing one of our songs which we'll be attending to do right now so it was a little late on the timing of always trying to do is if you get hit like close to a wall one of your the monkey you had in front will run up to that wall and jump like infinitely high for some reason you're able to store that jump so unfortunate yeah you store the jump you get and once you get hit again you'll shoot infinitely upwards as long as you're holding B well he was also trying to do is to combine that with a jump roll which is a frame perfect' trick where you do a roll on the same frame you would jump on an enemy and that just sends you flying forward in the direction you you were facing combining those tricks together and it gives you a super jump roll where you're basically levitating upwards while doing a Diddy's cartwheel yeah levitating cartwheel and that saves about 25 so it's like 20 seconds in this today so yeah it's pretty uh pretty big pretty major yeah this is gonna look like all stages for a little bit but uh everything's gonna change once we beat the world six boss six box we have outside yeah that's the real boss roles well there is a super come fro in this level but it's like four four seconds and is like impossible hey German roll yo boasting a national role [Laughter] [Music] personal minutes isn't mine right here tie your rolls you can depend on the end of a tire and then roll off a bit yeah like one year is starting to learn in this game tire rolls are usually one of the things that kill you the most they're pretty tough yeah all right so jump earlier we're gonna try jump rolling into this stage it saves I think twelve or so very very very variable it all depends on the stress that you do if you don't get it oops well I guess no jump roll yeah well you could die and no thanks oh yeah speaking of which that's actually one thing that's really important for this run that no other donkey category has to deal with is lives manager life management spoilers there is one part in this run where we will have to grind for lives so it's actually rather amusing so we'll point it out when we get there but uh but at this point in the run like I said we're gonna be starting with a world six boss making our way backwards you know world 5 to 403 oh goodness I didn't get the Xtend though so I had to bail and here's the thing we can't exactly use funky Kong to take us back to world 1 because we never properly beat world 1 so we're gonna have to do some crazy baloney stuff to get our way back to world 1 back to the world map will show you where we're talking about there's no way to actually go backwards to the ball warping backwards or up though good job all right platform yeah brick pretty pretty scary stuff are we gonna see optimal negative No Hey very very few instances of RG in this game that Boston respond on the topper on the bottom the left row right see you for possible outcomes very responsible persons always in the upper left up it right you wanted this one at the bottom since fashion in it in that way alright awesome so back on the map world map you see like there were no like there's no trail from world one world six yes where the route diverges many percent and like there was a crumbling face like the end it's just what you would normally do at any percent you just go straight to the crumbling face that's K rule it ships out there yet because the games really confused he'll be there at the end though right so we've got a really important jump role in this stage yeah but frame well there's two of them one of them seems like fifty some things that I can Christy 555 just like in the wall stays forty-three but I'm only gonna go for a second one yesterday was forty two forty six forty three today so here's we don't need credit at that's really really really yeah probably the hardest trick in the game too early on the white press yeah well I guess now you can do some donations nice constellation consolation prize I was gonna say this right now but that one counts yes no it's the [ __ ] out no it counts your pulls off my fire counts we're talking about total entire are more than a one frame cancer alright so here's where everything gets super crazy here's where I'm gonna go ahead and save oh yeah yes we have huge softlock potential yeah so uh so I said earlier that manic minsters becomes one of the most broken stages and well here's what's gonna happen the split-up glitch we did earlier basically what happens is when it's when it's active um you basically get to control both Kong's at the same time so here's what we're gonna do we're going to set up split up glitch with Diddy this time and we're gonna do we're gonna now the game thinks donkey is out but we're playing as Diddy and that DK barrel that we're gonna pick up his super important did he's in a glitch state right now complaining barrel yes companion barrel but did he's in a glitch state right now to where if he takes damage the game's gonna try and bring Donkey into existence but he wasn't loaded properly so what essentially softlocks because he'll just sit there and his take hit animation yeah nothing Oh whenever whenever I have to split up glitch active I cannot take damage if I do I saw slug the game so here's what's going on we're gonna control both of at the same time both of them are playing both are we're gonna pick up the barrel one of them's holding a real barrel one of them is holding in viz they die the one that's holding in viz gets stored into them after they died and although we didn't grind for lives the Loomis don't follow away okay yeah bonus welcome to bonus game oh yeah and so that's how we get back to world 1 yeah oh my what do we got going on here he's fighting bugs eating lives seems good yeah the casual cows the donkey festival so pretty much what happened I it's there's a lot to explain but uh yeah so both cons picked up the barrel at the same time one of them was holding a real DK barrel and one of them holding in good pick up the same barrel and and now we die oh yeah you can't starts like out of this stage because it would take you back to medical insert yeah because I am still thinks your administers yeah actually probably wouldn't better just finish the level there no because I want to have solid unki for okay so well I'll try explaining the inves storage glitch and mannequin a little bit but pretty much we're gonna be going back to the anypercent warp and so now what we need to do is we need to find a way to get to world 5 without funky so of course we're gonna find a crazy wrong warp yeah first try yeah it gets up to first rise so here's the thing when we did the warp warp the world six we had to use the halfway barrel to create an invis barrel so the game still counts that the game's levels halfway beaten but did he so we need to actually beat this level because we need that halfway barrel again to create another inves barrel and you can't take any damage because he's in this glitch split up state right now and so this was the bottleneck reverse boss order for the longest time because nobody knew how to do this until I just got really bored one day hanging out at home in May of 2016 I'm like you know what let's try messing around with this game and I accidentally found the wrong work for world 5 and I told everyone on discord end we have to at that moment so yeah that was fun that was that was super cool oh and that that in this storage glitch that was found in manic that was found the same day yeah so you were really bored that day yeah so so how he wrong warp the world 6 was he had 2 released in visit a certain point we're going to be doing that but this is a three frame window and if you mess it up things are super bad here we go that's not gonna get that's not gonna work yeah I think that was - no I just I just walked into the entrance oh I didn't even think about that part I oh yeah if that happens you always walk towards you so what I'm gonna have to do is just beat the stage and try again it's like maybe a minute loss but like at least I can try again and I'm not softlocked or anything that's tough luck yet that's true yeah thanks thanks for encouraging Sara but yeah so we kind of ended up using the halfway barrel for that one attempt so we need to go ahead yeah that's what you have to be the level yep and re-enter it yeah so the cool thing is that because I can start select in the bonus I still have squirrel glitch actives so I don't have to like waste time setting it up again true yeah and as long as I don't stop look I can try this as many times as I want hopefully only you're gonna I'm only gonna have to try this one more time if Bush napkins spam bless RNG that would be the last part no come on come on come on yeah so another thing that we haven't touched on is there's a DK barrel immediately right here that yes to go under you touches that you break it open and get tinny back and then heat up both comms active actually pretty interesting stuff if you have both Kong's in and animal bloody if you have more donations by all means absolutely in fear o donated $100 got happen so that warped us to five three elevator antics and yeah that's cool trick that was the bottleneck of our Bo because first off we didn't have a way at a wrong warp back to world one and so and then we didn't have a way to wrong warp to world five and so yeah both of those are found and that's super cool yeah like like he just said it's yeah so let's pause the glitch exhibition for a second I think this stage like for me personally is like top contender for hardest optimize in this whole run this stage ultimately as like several tricks with like well there's one with the two frame window it's like poison pond is uh the hardest water level to not get hit in at least yeah cuz the hardest escapers yes that's hardest level again yes well I guess long as I know like where to launch with the fish I should be fine you can't though you can't let Nathan down though I'm think I'm gonna have to let him down that's unfortunate yeah yeah [Music] sorry name so there was a strap there that I could have done it's called triple clip so like I could have launched with an guard a little bit sooner and clipped the first Minster saves like about a second but if you lose your fish you lose your fish forever so like have fun for dressed of the stage alright so for aunt Elise's wallets I'll try to get this all right here so you have to run into the micro you can't jump you can't roll you get your donkey there and then you're on land so you can roll but you can also get out of any roll and so the game cause since you're going back to the finish so the game thinks you're on land so you can roll and you can jump out of any roll but you're like since you're constantly upon land so you can still look you can keep rolling and jumping and rolling and jumping infinitely until you come over land again the real land any time that you can land on that knee and roll off of the enemy at the same time you can get a jump roll so he's going [Music] [Applause] so now he's not actually doing anything like he doesn't have to hold the controller right now yeah but eventually he's gonna have to he's gonna run to these gonna have to roll in the air jump out of it yeah yeah eventually you get out of no cuz I got the jump roll like I eventually get out of the air roll glitch right here yeah because that's land against you so you actually have to play through the minecarts yeah which actually has a few optimizations but it's nothing like major yeah basically just do these high rolls here did you have trouble jumping over those three B's as a kid a little bit me too I still do okay point to there's very few differences between versions 1.0 and 1.1 it's just I don't know why they changed up some stuff with wrong warps and stuff they changed stuff with stuff and stuff well yes that's what you said right so he wants to sacrifice Diddy here because he wants to be this next one well you don't want to sacrifice do you want to swap categories sorry yeah we have to go we have to go back to manic after this you don't get freeze frames when you lose calm down boss fights to you ideally you want to sacrifice them on boss fights so back to manic we go just like donkey I think I'm gonna go save just because you have to play minsters with donkey and if your donkey you're dead in this game so yeah so since you saved are you obviously gonna do the Doublemint so jump no unless you want me to show off what happens when you are doing the split-up glitch and you get hit so that's pretty slow right there is he fell into the pit that's basically just sits there forever and he's not cook if there is like land beneath me just like to sit there yourself box so that's why you have to die and fall into a pit so we actually need donkey for this one because of how we're going to deal with oh my goodness I'm just gonna restart egg fair enough yeah so right there he had both Kong's he's controlling both Khan's you roll you jump you move left to right with both them at the same time it says they move at different paces it's very difficult so yeah as I was saying we're gonna want a DK to manage and the invisible object because of how we're gonna deal with opening the bonus from what you guys have seen in this run all that every time that we've opened the bonus with invisible object we just had DK throw it throw the invisible object by releasing why but the exit value of the bonus congenial can change depending on which Kong is de pulling in depending on which Kong is holding in vis and how they let go of the barrel it can change it can change if you release it by getting hit by an enemy setting it down getting hit while setting it down jumping off of an enemy all that kind of wonderful stuff so one week I know they're just what he's [ __ ] right now more - yeah actually like relatively free there's like ten different ways you can do it on this that you can set it down you can throw from the top so you just set it down so he sets down in this and here we are halfway in torchlight yeah suddenly you have to play the yeah breast of torch I was clocks which causes a lot of lag is this the first time this squawks has been in the gdq I would a good question actually yes I wanna say yes yeah so we got a we got a are we gonna go for the sjr yeah yeah this is pretty recent discovery shadow that's love and rainbow sprinkles sprinkles it's just like insane time trouble where you got a jump ball rolling off with the tire same principle here oh well this they're just cool platforming those uh you guys will enjoy regardless lots of cool tire rules that's cool place you need to skip cycles and stuff alright coming up here he's gonna face the left so that he can manipulate the camera and have that uh tired platform small now at a later time and that'll let him skip the ice the B's there yes we got both cycle skips there's real good yeah especially when you have to pick up donkey in the middle makes it harder so nice and so we're gonna do a pretty cool strat in this boss where we skip a whole cycle of him this fights so clean in this category because you know I guess giving cycle let's go for Oda now show us the rolling at the part so now we're gonna take another trip back to manic but however we're not we are gonna do some crazy stuff and manic however we have no way to directly wrong warp to I see right here the barrel the Dickey barrel is not here because how do you explain it to me LUMO like the game still thinks you're in minsters yes Esther the wolf for war shot at cerebro so after worlds three and four the game thinks that you're still in Vince is you haven't left it apparently that's why the DK girls aren't there because you already used it to get into the before yeah so yeah it starts like to respawn the barrels so yeah we have no direct way to wrong warp to world 3 and so so that's why so we're just going to go back to world 1 instead we'll deal with it when we get there I also worth noting like I'm never grabbing the halfway in this stage because like I'm visiting so many times I missed it again dude that's fine so here's what's gonna happen now we're back in one one but we cannot start select out of there if we two different stages in world one and they're only in world one on the overworld and when you have a solo Kong or both or Kong's and fungus flight barrel you can you just stop there for one frame and if you're pressing a face button on that one frame then the game like thinks you're on a level entrance so it tries to send you into a level but it doesn't like have anywhere to send you to so it just is like no I gots to throw you in okay so yeah you never know game so after haha hello yeah so after world 3 woman walk back - whoa - we use Diddy to war back to world - so ideally again we sacrifice talking here hi that's fine well we're stuck we're sacrificing donkey oh yeah that's great because we have to go back to manic again this one's different one right Oh yep this is one of the warps that's different that's different between is impossible when you miss a cycle for real alright that's world three down [Applause] so yeah coming up is like arguably the hardest wrong warps after you yep this one's probably as difficult as world 5 we're gonna start so much real quick to respawn the DK barrel because just like for Dewalt for Walmart if you do that well to rerun Lord then the DK barrel doesn't show up so this is so for this wrong we're actually gonna have Diddy maintain the invisible object and we have a one two or three frame window to really send this but it seems like it's like a - framer yeah like no good visual cue for it because what you're supposed to do is you drop the invisible barrel as you get hit by a crusher and they're crushed like sort of saunters back and forth and like his hitbox and varies based upon like how he's walking towards you so you have to kind of like align yourself at the same point and just like I know Trey basically like Brett right so so here we go we're gonna have we're gonna open it we're gonna open the bonus Diddy's invisi have did he needs to get hit while setting this down this is the two frame window oh that looked good no I think that was too early I don't know good yeah that's fine right so since we run worms out of medic pincers so we start selected there it takes him back to medic minster so that's like kind of like it's a double-edged sword another reason why you don't want to grab the halfway barrel actually yeah when this category first came into existence we used to take that DK barrel to like near the end of the level yeah not only was it bad way it was really slow yeah joste fat low again fast low was bored and he found a bunch of threats and they became meta true I guess this category gets improved by like boredom maybe there's a what like hold five runners yeah we use their fat low peachy ease instead he would learn it like in 20xx that was too late I think either one one or one to this once you see you want to yeah that's what we don't want next time we go to one one I'm not gonna go back to one one if you yeah yeah yeah well I think if I mess it up again I'll just go ahead and save all right honestly though this warp is really really hard I swear this is killed more runs for me than the elevator work which is confirmed by tasks three frames so yeah but yeah trying to perform this wrong warp there's a little bit different on one point one because yeah if you're pointing on one point one actually you don't even have to worry about this warp yeah because that's that one's just as simple as donkey sitting down in viz yeah the problem is when you do the Walt five or if you have to by torchlight entirely which is slower oh yeah I think that was too early as well come on yeah yeah I mean both things that I expected to go poorly went poorly so we're in there yeah yeah there aren't really like good setups for this trick so much but you can like kind of tell like when you've gotten it like you know like if you yeah like small screech from Diddy it like stops and stuff like prematurely then you know like you did it right I just looked at this animation actually yeah there's a couple different ways to tell ya after you've already done it though it's what you don't have like three one five seconds yeah savestates alright this is so I hope everyone here loves Winkie world one is actually different the one that we've done before because we actually work back to one three so we don't have to be so here's the super super jump glitch by the way so you see donkey jumps off the top of the screen like that stores a super jump so when we get it back as long as you hold B there you just go up infinitely there's a donkey only accessible work barrel right there normally you're supposed to do what we call tire over a gap you go further to the right you get a tire it's really that saves a whole bunch of that event goes might over again yeah if you're if you're on donkey and you know about tire of a gap you know tire of a gap to sucks hi yeah I'm small yeah so we have to make one more one more trip back to MANET the fine was good yarn she was not she was swapped Kong's so his invisible object was actually the crush of so they threw they crushed item so it's kind of a fun part immediately after that you can actually hold one of them in sirs and then throw it it's show that off I don't know how to do it you just go back and forth until you hold the mincer okay one extra life I this is a ladies and gentlemen no more monkeying around no more half steppin [Laughter] so like I said this isn't a wrong warp or did he needs to handle in viz but the bonus is gonna be opened by the bonuses walled-in visit is gonna be released by diddy just standing back to 1 1 all right now we're in the hardest level in the game ironically the hardest okay so the whole joke is because since coral capers is in the first world you know that's where you're gonna reset the most and the easiest place to lose time in world 1 is in coral capers so basically a huge amount of resets gonna be in coral capers so we just joke that's a harder station game especially because this flip right here is pretty uh yeah tedious yeah all right so you got a safe hey if you screw up in what five or five yeah I would like that's the only place where I can die now is Carol
