what's up everyone welcome back to another video today we're in the studio and we are going to be looking at scene editing in this video we're going to be breaking down a range of raw footage into a nice Consolidated scene so I thought it'd be interesting today to jump into the timeline and just show you what it's like to cut down b-roll merge it with a-roll sync and craft a interesting story and build scenes out in this video we're going to be looking at a short brand film that we've been editing for under the hood barbecue so there's a range of about 30 minutes of b-roll we're going to cut that down overlay it over the arrow and start to build out a scene so if we have a look at the interview selects we can bring up this timeline here and we've simply gone through marked up the interview synced it with all the audio and you can see here we've got around 45 minutes in terms of this interview what I've done is I've taken that 45 minute video and basically pulled together a rough cut of a-roll sync into this timeline here and you can see here we've got around four minutes now we have a rough cut of the interview which is essentially the foundation of the story we're going to concentrate on one small section for this video and talk about how we can start building a scene using this Arrow as the base and Foundation let's take a listen to this little short sound bite it's about 30 seconds long of Dave and Michelle talking in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this farm and we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it just made it just absolutely awesome and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us to charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special this is obviously an isolated section within the story and we're just going to build this one scene out in isolation but it's nice to have context that this is part of a four minute brand film so to add some b-roll what we're going to do is simply go into our day two morning b-roll and in here we have a whole range of b-roll that was shot in the morning and it's of Dave basically setting up the charcoal barbecues the way I like to start processing this is to grab all of this footage and add it into a single timeline called a string out and you can see here I've already set that up so I've dropped all of this footage into a single timeline and now I have about 30 minutes to watch through to start to break this footage down to consolidate it together because ultimately the end result of this 30 minutes of footage might only be the 30 seconds that we're going to be showing in the brand film and so breaking it down and learning to use a workflow that structures the breakdown process is really important so to start this process what we're going to do is duplicate this timeline duplicate morning string out and we're going to name this selects I'll just say this is version two so now when we open up the selex reel it is the exact same as the string out but now I can go in here and actually start to edit and break down this footage so as we move through essentially what I'm doing is I'm just breaking down this footage to really usable Parts but the purpose of this is to get the footage down from a 30 minute string out to a more manageable selection and so what I have done previously is gone through and done this all the way through and you can see here that I've broken that 30 minute string out down into a five minute select reel so to illustrate what we've done with the string out is we can copy this five minutes of footage over into our string out footage you can see here the lines at the top of these clips are duplicate clip markers and that's eventually telling us that this clip here already exists in this timeline so this first 30 minutes of b-roll footage was cut down into this section here and you can see it exactly throughout these clubs exactly what I've done when I've cut down these clips into usable b-roll shots so a lot of these longer clips for example this one here three two one you can see here as he strikes a match I've made that selection based on that purple line at the top and then I've cut away and all of this in between was cut away and not used cool because I was readjusting the camera and then there's actually a second shot now that is usable within this b-roll clip and then I've cut again after that zoom and then all of this in between was unusable and then f final shot here on the b-roll was used so the point of all this is simply just to show you that from our b-roll Stringer of 30 minutes of footage I've taken the Liberty to cut a lot of it down and now the result is a Celestial of five minutes of footage now that I have five minutes of footage I can go one step further and duplicate that sequence again so all I've done is grab the select timeline duplicated it and created what is called a scene comp now scene comp is grabbing all of this footage and reordering it into a consecutive nature you can simply do this by grabbing the shots heading X to cut and Z to paste time back in and I will do this over and over again until I have rearranged all of the footage and the result of that is this b-roll morning scene comp so now I still have five minutes of footage but it's just a little bit more logical as I have rearranged it in the timeline we've got the morning scene then we've got Dave pouring the charcoal out into the barbecues striking a match starting to light the fires and then the result is finally putting a lid on the barbecue now this is what I call a comp because it is a rough comp of what the scene will be what we can do from here is duplicate this comp again and start to call this morning scene one and what I have done between comp and scene one is simply washed it all the way through and started to refine it down even further here I've got three minutes of b-roll now I've taken two minutes out I've watched through all this b-roll and started selecting shots that I think aren't necessary the end result of this entire scene is going to be roughly a 30 to 40 second piece remember we are going to put this b-roll over this little section of a roll here and so we want to quickly pull that down as much as possible the beauty about duplicating your sequences up here is you can always refer back to those different processes so what I'll do from here is duplicate scene version one now I'm going to name this version two and open up that timeline and we'll work together on refining this down even further so to do this we'll simply just select everything delete the gaps and I'm going to be a little bit more aggressive with how much I'm cutting out because I want to refine this down as quick as I possibly can so let's watch this through and you'll start to get an idea of how I cut three minutes of footage down to say 30 to 60 seconds of it so there we've cut three minutes of footage down to about a minute I'm just going to do one more pass quickly to really refine this down as tight as I possibly can get I really like what we've ended up with we've got 30 seconds of a b-roll string out which essentially summarizes the 30 minutes of footage that we started with the biggest problem that you'll run into when you're editing is feeling nervous when you start to cut footage away but the important thing with a workflow like this is to remember that you can always go back to the previous step for example just like we did earlier we can copy this 30 seconds of footage and we can go over to b-roll morning scene version one we can simply just paste it into the end to start to see exactly what Clips we've pulled from this sequence so you can see we've taken a clip here this one this one this one the screen white these three purple Clips red and white so using a process like this will hopefully eliminate that nervous feeling you get when you start to be quite aggressive with your cuts and always remember that we have a nice bread crumb here of our process so we have our Full Stringer of 30 minutes of footage we have our selects which was about five minutes of footage we have our scene comp which is a reorder of the b-roll and we have our scene version one in version two now we have 30 seconds of footage which we can take over into our brand film rough cut and start building out that particular scene with the a-roll to start pulling the scene together I'm going to just copy this over and paste it in my rough cut scene and what I'll do is actually just put this audio and video onto a second layer a wool just duplicate this brand film rough cut and call this version two and then I'll work on this version this just allows me to stay really organized and what I'm actually going to do is just delete all this other content just so I can focus on this one particular scene so let's start by just working on our a-roll sync compressing it and decompressing it to create some Pace within the story I fell in love with cooking when I was young when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this just giving it a bit of space there I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this farm and we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down why it took so long it just broke the protein down it just made it just absolutely awesome and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us it's a charcoal barbecue flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us to charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special and I just made this thing that was just incredible I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us so I'm going to take that thought from the end and actually just paste it in the front and see if it won't tell a better story this way it's a charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game and as I'm working through this I'm just finishing the cuts to make sure that the audio cues fade nicely there's no popping it's a charcoal barbecue it's the lowest but it's a low and slow game it's a low and slow game it's a low and slow game it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game Glow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa South Africa South Africa South Africa South Africa of course as I'm pacing this out we've got an intro thought about falling in love with cooking and then we have a little bit of a space because this is a brand new idea even though it ties together I think space just helps separate ideas out I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it just made it just absolutely awesome and taking on the smoke the charcoal just broke the protein down all right just try and get rid of this middle section made it just absolutely awesome it just broke the protein down and we're taking on the smooth I'm gonna take a look at them down and taking on the smoke the Char ging down and they're taking on the smoke the protein down and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and it just made this thing and I just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us cool so I'm pretty happy with just the current decompression of that sink here it feels like it flows quite nicely and you would have noticed as I'm working through I'm just finessing these Cuts making sure that the audio flows together there's no popping there's no uh sort of awkward breaths at the beginning and end of each sound bite and now what I'm going to do is just mute the b-roll audio so this stereo track here is out of camera these are just the tracks that have been recorded as scratch audio these are quite nice to leave in when you're cutting b-roll because they're really good references when you go ahead and do your sound design and oftentimes you'll find that they sit really nicely in the mix just quietly so as I'm expanding this out I want to cut to the interview just to ground the story understand that the subject in this case Dave is communicating a message so I don't necessarily need to stay in the b-roll scene the whole time I can cut between b-roll and a-roll what I will do is just select all my tracks again and I'm just going to pop this down a little bit so I have some space in the head to expand this b-roll shot a little more and I might do that even further it's a charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking you that's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure you it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and so I'm just thinking here about an establishing shop this works really well but it doesn't necessarily very well so what I'm thinking now is potentially we could cut to some a-roll just to break up the b-roll and then embed ourselves in the scene later let's have a look at that it's a charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game and then we can continue on with our b-roll pop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game really simple cuts and it turns into something really special cooking it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking I'm actually going to decompress that even more pull this idea a bit further you actually enjoyed the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this farm and we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down at them to cook that food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it was taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us it just broke the protein down it had taken on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us with us yeah that's awesome yeah that's awesome so this is a really nice moment often what you'll find in documentary style editing is allowing us to rest on the interview at the end and without necessarily any dialogue happening so what we can do is just remove that um final comments from the crew in the background and just let the visuals rest experience when they eat with us there's quite a nice little ending so as you can see what I've done here is I've spaced out my b-roll on top I've got my a-roll sink which was decompressed and I'm trying to find a nice balance between cutting from my b-roll back to the interviews what I like to do sometimes is disable the b-roll track and really just watch through my a-roll just meet this for now as I watched through I really like to identify key moments in the a-roll that look interesting and I like to be able to cut down to the a-roll at that moment just to keep as much energy in the edit as possible in terms of cutting Tempo it's very smooth we're not trying to rush the pacing at all we're allowing the Natural Energy and excitement of the a-roll interview to come through but we're not necessarily fighting it with a fast cutting pattern or Tiempo on top what I might do actually is just allow the ambient b-roll audio just to come through just to give us a little bit more of a sense of how sound design could take shape with this particular scene it's a charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this farm and we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it had taken on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us so that is what is called a rough cut of the scene the pacing is all over the show definitely needs a lot of refining the b-roll doesn't quite gel with the a-roll but what this is is a really good first attempt at cutting this scene together now if you're editing a really long form documentary you can just consider the documentary as a whole range of different scenes such as this one all compiled together so the beauty of this is It's a pretty good working start for me to pull this scene into a master timeline amongst many other scenes for the sake of this tutorial I just want to refine this scene even further just to show you how it can start to be pulled together in a bit more of a polished state so what we'll do is we'll just take this scene up here I'm going to call this scene one version three and because I like to be nice and tidy we'll also go ahead and create a subfolder for scene one so I can put all of those scene one edits together there so to refine this scene I'm going to watch it through a few times it's only 48 seconds and I'll start to finesse the cuts together to make the a-roll and the b-roll really feel as good as they can together you'll notice that I haven't added any music at this stage and the music will definitely have a huge impact on the emotion and the tempo and the pacing of this scene but to begin before I put that music in I just want to make sure the scene feels as good as it can without the influence of artificial emotion through music so let's watch this through a couple more times you'll be able to see how I refine these edits the charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause I'm just going to give this a little bit more of a j cut it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure I'm also going to experiment with what it looks like to see the acam first before cutting to the B Camp game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure it's slow okay it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it's really special really simple cuts and it turns into that it's something really special I fell in love with cooking it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special until you actually enjoy the game it's really looking cut so it turns into something really special it takes really simple just gonna compress this b-roll and touch as well just Quicken the pacing up so that this match strike lands perfectly after this a-roll that'd be quite a cool moment it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special what we can do just really quickly is just add a cross fade across these two um b-roll audio channels it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking I really like that space I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was my young so I'm already starting to imagine what this is going to be like with the music underneath and especially things like this giving space I can imagine the music ramping up here and Landing I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s South Africa I was in my young 20s and we've been out to this farm and we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook that food but when I find it to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted a symbol and we went out to this farm and we hunted spring and we went out to this farm and we hunted springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just so through here we're starting to develop energy with the way we've cut this beer all together now remember energy and cutting Tempo and pacing within an edit is multi-faceted so it is through the way you're cutting your shots but it's also about the energy inside the actual shots itself so for example The Cutting Tempo with these three shots is very similar to The Cutting tempo of these three shots however the way we've cut this together feels slower this feels faster partly due to the fact that there is nice spacing here in the a-roll underneath the b-roll comes to a finish and allows this breather with this third b-rail shot so let's look at this enjoy the game it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special so that feels nice and gentle whereas when we get to this section it's starting to feel a little bit more Dynamic and a bit more engaging South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this farm and we hunted springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long these three shots have a lot of movement in them they're nice and dynamic and then also the voice over underneath or this interview shop is generating a lot of energy so you've just got to be aware of that and use your cutting Tempo to control the energy in the scene now obviously a lot of this is just my um creative direction as an editor and my eye for this particular type of shooting many different editors could take this scene in many different ways the point is just to show you how this scene is beginning to be refined and we're using decompression and compression within our b-roll and our a-roll edits to refine the pacing and the spacing within this edit it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible so I want this section here this last six or seven seconds to be really engaging so what I'm going to do is actually going to compress this sink up a little bit and remove any of these slightly long pauses it just broke the protein down it was taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just broke the just going to remove this little pause here protein it just broke the protein down protein down and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible protein down it's taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was severe Davis and it just the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I'm gonna just remove this Gap entirely the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I've tried decompress this slightly put my protein down and taking on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible and I want people to have the same experience when they eat and I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us severe is a comp of this scene it's feeling relatively good at the moment and now it's ready to add music and sound design as the next polishing step or the next step in really bringing this scene alive from here now what we can do is duplicate the timeline again we can go ahead and create a version four so all I'm hitting is command C command V to duplicate the timeline rename it to version four open that up in my timeline viewer and now what I can do is start to add music and sound design to bring this timeline to life sourcing music is a whole conversation in its own right but for the sake of this example for this scene in particular I just want to pull up this track here [Music] place it in the timeline I'm just going to hit I for in and set an out Point around there and I'm just going to drop that into my timeline so that has come through here [Music] it's a Choco barbecue that's the lower the slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause so make sure you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple Cuts so it turns a little bit so this is a really cool Vibe it is working for the footage but what we want to do is now craft the music to add emotion to the scene and not detract from it the worst thing you can do is create a nicely pulled together scene with a-roll and b-roll and then just slap a music track on it and what you'll find is if the music is not supporting the current emotion of the scene it's actually detracting from it and so what I want to do is really emphasize the cutting pattern that I've already established with my a-roll and b-roll for example this section here when it moves from Dave into b-roll I'm just going to disable the music track for now it takes really simple cuts and it turns into something really special this is quite a key moment where it creates some more energy and then this is the space that we want to still maintain so what we could do is a nice hit on the music at that moment so I can go ahead and just listen to the track again this is quite a nice little section here and then at the start we're going to try and put a hit on this moment [Music] probably this little section here so what I like to do when I'm moving music around is think of the music track as a whole range of shots don't necessarily have to maintain the same order and they're little building blocks to really create emotion in different places so I'm intentionally using the music track to craft the emotion that's already been established with the a-roll and the b-roll thank you really simple cut so it turns into something really special so this is that breather 300 Spring ball it took so long for them to cook their food but when I so let's see what this sounds like together oh really special I fell in love with cooking really special I fell in love with cook I fell in love with cooking [Music] it's a Choco barbecue I can Loop this section at the start here it's a charcoal barbecue that's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoyed the game it takes really simple cut so it turns into something really special oh I fell in love with cooking now to line up with this hit on the music I'm actually going to pull this entire edit forward so that we still have a j cut if I cut this a little bit shorter and let this b-roll land on the beat here we have a special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted springbok it took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized I finally got to eat that food I'm just gonna tweak this b-roll to land on the beat let's cook that food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long and just to hide that little pull back on the camera I'm just gonna Ripple this through I cook that food but when I finally got to eat that food I really took so long for them to cook their food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it'll take it on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I don't want people have the same experience when they eat with us [Music] foreign so that is a really nice ending to the music track naturally so what I want to do is utilize that and just paste it in in time to get a really natural close to the scene I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us now that it'll take you on the smoke I'm actually going to paste it in a bit earlier and it'll take you on the smoke the charcoal flavors and I just made this thing that was just incredible I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us don't be scared of Silence silence is a good thing just them and remember we're adding Ambient sound design underneath this as well so essentially all I've done so far is just craft the music track and use the music track as a way to emphasize what's already happening with my a-roll and b-roll I prefer to edit like this because I can control the story through a-roll and b-roll whereas if you add your music track first you've automatically dictated what the emotion is and the way you've cut the scene together because the music carries so much emotional weight the important thing is to use music to strengthen the emotional weight of a scene so let's have a look through this scene now and see how it's feeling with the music a-roll and b-roll all put together [Music] it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game it takes really simple cut so it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted springboard I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted sprinkle it took so long for them to cook that food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it'll take it on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us the only thing that's tripping me up a little bit is this hit here it's a charcoal barbecue that's a low and slow game it's called barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pull charcoal barbecue it's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure I might just see if there's any sections in here which I could use instead for that little intro thank you [Music] foreign we're going to use the in section and just try and put that in section in instead of using what we have already so I'm just going to remove this to the point where the beat picks up again I'm just going to pop that up in that layer [Music] choco barbecue that's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pull it sure you actually enjoy the game really love that it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure you actually about taking the day to stop and I like this hit here as well so I'm gonna just pull my b-roll back slightly to that moment just to reveal the interview [Music] it's a Choco barbecue that's a low and slow game it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure that you actually enjoy the game awesome so that music is starting to feel really good with the scene it's adding energy to the scene it's not detracting from it I'm going to start adding sound design elements to this scene so the way I like to add sound design in the easiest way that I've come across is to use this plugin called soundly you do need to create an account you could obviously Source your sound effects from any location download them and put them into the project but a really great way to add sound design is to Simply create a soundly pulls folder and and what will happen is I can search for any sound effect here for example hit enter and then I've got some bird song ambient morning care you can hear playing through so what I'm going to do is actually select about two minutes of that and just drag it simply straight into the timeline here before I do that I will just bring my edit index up and move my tracks to make sure that audio 3 is actually higher and I'm going to rename this as music gonna rename audio three as camera scratch audio 4 now becomes my ambience so I'm going to start crafting the ambience of my scene so I'm actually going to mute my boom music and Camera scratch tracks for now and simply just listen to the sound design along with the footage and I'm going to remove it so when this Cuts back to the interview we're just going to get rid of that Ambient sound and then I want a second ambient track to be the ambience of my interview really like that we're just going to pull that in I'm actually going to change the color of this music track and the camera scratch just so I can distinguish it from my sound design work that I'm doing this is interview ambience now the reason I'm naming all of these tracks is because when I actually go to mix down this piece later which is a completely separate stage it's nice to understand what these mixes are referring to so I can pull down the ambience of the interview in its entirety if all of these clips are on the same track so it's a really nice little base Ambience is always the first thing I like to do for sound design remember we definitely have camera scratch going on as well so I'm going to emphasize key moments now with some extra sound design and call this one folly and now it's just a case of matching up the footage so this is without that and with it it really adds a lot of energy to the scene fire crackling is another sound design element that we can add we see the fire is starting at the shot here thank you this is a great little whoosh foreign basically added sound design to this scene now let's listen through to just the sound design this is without music without the actual dialogue and this is just sound design so you can start to hear what sound design does to create energy in the scene foreign so now what we have is a scene that has a roll b-roll music and sound design all adding to create or emphasize the energy that was established through the a-roll and b-roll cutting pattern so let's play it all together and just start to understand how this can all come together to create a really compelling scene with lots of emotion and energy foreign [Music] it's about taking the day to stop to pause to make sure you actually enjoy the game it takes a really simple cut so it turns into something really special I fell in love with cooking when I was younger when I went to South Africa I was in my young 20s and we went out to this Farm we hunted Springbok it took so long for them to cook that food but when I finally got to eat that food I realized why it took so long it just broke the protein down it'll take it on the smoke the charcoal flavors and it just made this thing that was just incredible I want people to have the same experience when they eat with us great this obviously needs mixing and there's a lot that we can do to it but hopefully that gave you an insight into how to build a compelling scene using a whole range of b-roll a-roll interview content and then music and sound design if you did enjoy this video please like And subscribe to this Channel on YouTube and I'll be sure to make a whole range more videos just like this one for now peace out and we'll see you in the next one foreign [Music] foreign thank you
