right so and often the plumber will tell you don't fit a radiator this way but today I'm telling you don't fit a radiator this way we have no choice though let me explain this is like a flat roof extension that they' had on this side there's no Radiator in the kitchen so said can you put a radiator there I've got no way of getting the pipes from the house into here there's no way I've checked it all there's no way so going radiated there we go around here the only radiator I've got is in the bathroom and the one that replac this tail realm so Happy Days yeah you all thinking bril we got to point work but it's 10 mil when it comes to the supp radiators on 10 mil you're supposed to have an individual drop per radiator you're not supposed to go back to back I explain this to the customer I said I can do it but will it work won't it work let's find out let's get into it oh yeah forgot to mention that's toil and the is toil that is going to be a pain to try and get the pop but we shall adapt and overcome with plumbers with problem solvers that's what we do as plumbers we solve problems and today we going solve that problem so how not to fit a radiator there's a tot you didn't think you would see on YouTube but on this one we had no choice we couldn't find another feed to this radiator custom on radiator we explained all the pitfalls before we even started so we explained all the pitfalls said we'd take it on yeah let's see how we get on with how not to fit a radiator and as always please look at subscribing to the channel drop us a like any questions drop them in the comments I'll do my best to answer them yeah let's get straight into this one so we got this system draining first thing going to do get this radiator out the way there no drain off so couple of tubs Big Tub yeah just going to undo the nuts get the radiator out nice and easy should be too much water in this one think lock that off off BR now come on big Tu big Tu get it on the KN get it off there you go get in there right that's that another one done that should lift off now there go here we go okay so brackets them off yeah they T around the holes brilliant that's going to s look so fun when we put the r on and I've just realized that it's plastic it's not copper thought it was copper painted but it's not it's plastic so we have to use plastic fittings just going to look trash really is I got much of a choice here unless we want to start knocking walls out I think the way we're going to tackle this is do the tail first then have a look to see where we're going to put the part through said these TOS a really too FY some of them fall off but the other so expensive toil so so if you're going to knock any toils off do this so so let's get the tail B in place then we can see where we can put our first thing we going to do is put the tail B where we want it about there it's low enough so you can just hold it up in the air if you want so we want it up there really so we can get GRE for the valve just Mark want first one oh there on that one second R down Mark the bottom a second up there we go and just put it on the wall way you want then you just Mark these so so to measure inwards 60 M Mark there this side 60 M so line up wall where it crosses with this one up here put one there one there same there there but problem is the way with t I'm going to have to line it up with one side or the other I'm line it up with the side that's going to be on show the most you'll see let me go right you'll see it's a really good tool this is like socks in Pad but it's got all the holes you need few Diamond drill bit so got a diamond drill bit in there what do now is on the seventh 4 through and Dr that properly let me put that in properly there we go take that off cuz start off now I can take that off and just finish that all off I'm going do the same can't really see cuz it's on black but do the same there two there there get the brackets on so then all hung don't forget to put these screws in before we hang the r see won get to it afterwards got that level cleaned up the wall just grabed off all the old uh all the old DC give it a w down yeah let's get the I've got the bottom brackets on there U but the top brackets I'm actually I'm going to put them on the rad right let's get so put screw through there back of the lad and just do that top so we got get on the second Val down we done second Val B so easy to remember so we just got the top two on the B two we're going to leave we're going to put them in the wall because it's got to hang the top then we can screw in the bottom um yeah that's all ready to go now let's get this should oh that way should line up there we go going up with the Bottom now okay so top brackets are on got the bottom brackets on as well and that one will just one straight up that one mes off I me wish I could take these toils out and you can move the pipe over them but there a lot I can do to be honest with you just the way it is um yeah I'm going to have to do is don't know best to do this I'm going to have to put a te on there it's have to come across through the middle te on there across through the middle and join onto that red there I think anywh of this is going to craping so going have to make the best of a bad situation one thing we do like to do is get them tails in early CU we use that R blue stuff give it as much time as we can to go off there one of the downsides it does tend to go rock solid in yeah that's better bit more on that we go walk off the excess so we have to do on this one is cut that bend off there we need to put a te so please not bring back into the W there we go [Music] all the [Music] graps there we go on that I'm going to Mark the pipe so know when it's going [Music] in there we go there we got then we can come across and into the wall there on that one going to do this um have to put a help on that one I think I put a stem elbow on herez I just can't I did try bend a bit P but yeah it ain't going to work so stem El bit of pipe I should be able to there should there take a bit off [Music] actually there we go that's better tighten that in it's the best thing going to get that unfortunately so I work out now where I'm going to put the hole on the other side Sal from the edge of the doorway to near enough Center there it's about 750 and measured up from the bottom to near enough long there just to get more measurements so the other side measured that thickness there that's 140 so uh 890 275 about there it's not going to bank all through there and hope for the best this a be done man okay Le day it still somewhere there we got to drill the other side so we've measured the same as what we did that side so I'm open now when put the drill through new more FES up here we go see I've managed to get him through it's just it's just offset the other Holes about there but going in an angle i' got them first I'm going to chop them off couple of elbow sh each way get the radiator on connect it up yeah the OD bits are now I've got my feed in so happy days so s two elbows onto them PPS just bring them well past the radiator what we're going to do now is on the radio so want it far enough away from that plug socket to get access to that but not too close this wall so slide it up there now what I'm going to do is just Mark where the brackets are on the wall and my height we need it above that skir okay so from the bottom of the bracket to the bottom radio is about 80 mil do you measure to the top of the bracket or to the bottom of the bracket I've always done bottom so so what I normally do is 600 that's going to be where my radiator is going to go and from the bottom of the spe from the bottom of the tape measure Mark 80 mil up that'll be where I want the bottom of the bracket so I want the radiator bottom about there there mark 80 M on there that's the bottom of the bracket right there so I've marked the wall up here where the brackets are going to line up so to be level match them up and then hang the brackets marked all them out put our bracket fix so to the wall just Mark we're going to drill our holes there L of brackets all hung anti rattles on Bob on sorted we use these fixings and called bag what they called Tim Co Tim Co zip fix so you just drill 13 Milo pull it through that drops then you push your collar down I Ain going to do cuz I need these but yeah push it through then obviously that Ops will be on the wall each one of them will take got dry wall plaster board 30 kg 31 and that's a 33 kg radiator that's say 50 when it's full so got two fixes in each then just uh one in the one of the holes just to stop theet from falling yeah let get that rad we can PPE it up I'll show you I'm going to do this side but the tail have a drain off on it make it easier for maintenance in the future so let's get some wraid blue on there get that up we got TRV on this side [Music] some reason it won't FR that's TRV didn't come with that so I'm going get the lock Shield I think put the lock Shield this end that's the one that come with it so M this be a different thread lock Shield fits fine on that okay fair enough on the bottom got some of these this is an elbow 15 mil it's 10 mil pop that on so we want that angled slightly that way ni and that way kick the PIP out we got to do now is Mark the part cut here and put into that push there we go that's it all pushed in all connected up all we're going to do now exactly the same the side and that's it done all right let that side in weather tidy up that looks s that does the nervous moment I got to fill it up so yeah let's go to the boiler put some water in see what happens so GL so it's going to be two underneath see what happens fell off going to pour a bit in and go downstairs and check so far so good on both RS just going to Le them out now it's all filled up and it's working absolutely great honestly a little bit slower than the others but it's been on about 10 minutes and that's nice and warm show you everything finished stff in here so on this rad it's finished off so it's not ear put the tea on in the cross and this one we have to elevate the wall then into a te and that's a 22 mil P color thought we just finish it off just the be go in the wall yeah this one's no it's not what I might do is throttle this down now so that's fully open at the moment so I might throttle that down just to push it onto that one that's that turned out really good to be fair it was a bit BL way doing it I did tell the customer find it might not work but it's worked still don't recommend it if you can try and get a separate feed to 10 mil so but yeah well happy with I'll be the first one to admit that he's not fitted correctly back to back on 10 mil is not ideal for a radiator it's because you won't get the balance correct but luckily on that one the balance worked out okay bath was heating up now the TRV on the bathroom radiator that's going to be set on number three so the idea is that'll get up temperature it'll push mil of the heat to the other Radiator in The Snug so call one of them a Whitney Houston it's not right but it's okay say pluming sometimes you I'm going to get JS where you think this say technically correct you have to bend the wheels a little bit sometimes it's it's one of them so yes we will admit it's not right but it's working it's what the customer wanted I'm happy now they've got a radiator in that room heating it up so yeah what do you think would you would you have done that would you have taken that job on we did it's one of them it's a job at the end of the day someone's got to do it so we took it on helped him out yeah it worked out all right in the end so as always thank you for watching and I'll catch you on the next one
