Hi there, welcome to Jude's Craft Zen. Today I'm going to be making some ses glass art with an inspiring quote To jazz up my flat and remind myself to keep positive The materials that I used included, paper, a black biro, a pencil, a thicker black pen, superglue, and of course sea glass Start by looking through the sea glass for pieces that are flat to help it stick to the paper and reminded me of things such as birds, houses and kites. I played around for some time until I was happy with my selection The first picture I chose was of these two boats I pencilled in a few waves and some seagulls before going over the picture in black pen and superglued the sea glass into place so a little about sea glass. Sea glass is physically and chemically weathered glass found on beaches around the world The weathering process produces naturally frosted glass and it comes in a range of colours and sizes. More common colours are white and green but you sometimes get blue and brown. I got my sea glass from my Mum who lives in East Lothian and loves collecting it as a hobbie I found my inspiring quotes just by using Google I used descriptions to seach including, 'bird quote', 'inspiring quotes' The quote for this picture is; 'A bird sitting on a branch is never afraid of it breaking because their trust is not in the branch but in her own wings' I wanted to do a kite picture but found it abit plain so added these figures I think they give the picture more life and action I did find my handwritting was a little bit messy so typed out my quotes and stuck them on with pritt stick Thanks for watching my video! I hope you're inspired to make some sea glass art
