Discovering Germany's Rarest Cars | Eᴘ59: Mᴜɴɪᴄʜ

[Music] hello one and all hello oh no you find me still in Germany but no longer in Stuttgart I've headed south a bit like John Snow in the mother of dragons I'm now just below Munich in an area called taegons eternity I absolutely love it here Paul Wallace and I discovered this place for the first time about four years ago and I was like I need to come back here as often as possible and so whilst I'm only gonna be here for about a day and a half for me it's well worth it it's just a chance to experience some nature Stoke art was great but I spent the last couple of days really in meetings meeting with Mercedes Porsche planning some exciting future content but not actually filming that much sometimes you do just have to do some work and put the cameras down so that's why you now find me a few days later near Munich and right now I'm headed to meet Stefan Bauer who is I believe one of the best automotive photographers in the world to steal a quote from Jeremy Clarkson Whaley this year we've connected via social media because our worlds have kind of collided I seem to have met a whole lot of people there he's photographed and and I photographed a lot of people that he met and so one way or another we decided chatting and when I told him that I was gonna be passing via Munich he said look you can't come near my home and me not arrange some cool stuff for you so right now I'm off to meet up with I don't really know why he just said he I've arranged some stuff come meet me and I've got a 40-minute drive ahead to an unknown location I did I really haven't thought this through because I really don't know Stefan at all and he's yeah I'm about to get murdered I hope not well I guess it'd be good for the vlog so let's see what happens I'm off to me now we're stepping out if you don't hear from me again then he's the guy you need to speak to tell the police to speak to Stefan [Music] [Music] [Music] I don't pursue you are worth this place is nuts they used to be potatoes no way it's upgraded from there and she remembered that her husband used to store like potatoes [Music] well welcome to Schalke Lisa that was I mean that you my continued awful German pronunciation but it is the German for gearbox which makes a little bit more sense so if you think I've pronounced it wrong google it read the word and pronounce it yourself but look at this place it's absolutely incredible another one of those kind of special dealerships which is just so much more feel so much more than an actual dealership it is set in this incredible building as you heard as we walked in an old potato shed farm shed setup which has been converted into just a supercar grotto you could probably actually call it a hypercar grotto but in an amazing coffee machine a fireplace a bar a place that you just wanna come and hang out and spend time and then accidentally end up buying your comps it's probably the idea if the clothes whose sitted up but anyway enough of my face let's show you around let's tell you what cars are here in stock at the moment apparently there is an additional storage facility this is just a selection of the cars that these guys have it at the moment we're gonna go check that out afterwards but for now have a look at this lot I'm not trying to be rude but I'm gonna skip past the Cullinan because whilst of course it is extreme luxury and extreme value it's the one thing that probably doesn't fit in with the rest of the insane cars here it is however the first color night color none I've seen since the launch friend that I attended with rolls-royce so that's super cool to see one here but yes let's move on to the heavy metal starting off in the middle of the room it's only a bloody Enzo lots of you been giving me a hard time saying that I should have come across like I've forgotten that I drove an Enzo during drive the wad this year I'm I definitely have not forgotten that experience I think sometimes when I talk about recent experiences I mentioned the TDF and the Pagani choir and the pista Spyder the Enzo experience obviously a couple of months ago now in Japan and whilst I will admit that drive the world is all coming in a bit of a blur I will never forget my time behind the wheel of one of these cars looking amazing we got an f50 over on the left now apparently this has a straight piped exhaust so it must sound ridiculous but at the moment parked up looking pretty 488 spider got a lovely color Dino here absolutely stunning blue on that looking really really nice the Ferrari sort of theme does continue throughout this room so if your border fries I apologize very clean-looking f12 you've got to check out the paint on this sv Aventador SV don't if it's going to come across on camera they go it is so sparkly it's it's quite outrageous it looks someone sneezed glitter into that paintwork but when I say it's my favorite now it's not my favorite but I think in terms of spec this TDF could be my favorite car in the room it is absolutely bang on the money I think maybe the only thing I'd changes potentially some kind of tan interior but I'm assuming this is TDF blue tour-de-force blue I'll double check that in a second but no stripe and silver wheels that is the one of the key elements I think of any kind of TDF nine three nine eleven GT super super rare car absolutely amazing to see stunning silver just looking incredible ok so just talking about the one thing that's missing from this tan check out this BB which is is this the same awesome they're all having a little meeting over there but I think it might be the same blue the TDF blue I'm not sure but it has that tan interior which is absolute or some Daytona seats and then we've got an AMG GTR and an amazing 430 scuderia 16 m in yellow I think the 430 really suits yellow and this car still one of the cars I'm most obsessed with but yeah as a setting as a place to stare at cars like this it doesn't get much better and all all over the walls photos taken by Stefan I'll be asking him more about that a little bit later but that's his connection to this place I'm gonna come back maybe have another little espresso by the fire and just take in the view Stefan I introduced you properly to the channel by the way because I've talked about you in advance I I did say that you might be a murderer because we only met one dispel on social media you said like come meet me this is abandom address well you haven't killed me yet so I think we're doing good visit this point did not disappoint did it but this is not how many stop today right we're going on from here into got a little surprise later something from the late 50s convertible right now we come to the pizza am I saying that Calissa still let them pop at the Colleen I don't spoil my own surprise yet I mean I already love this room just because there's a big Ferrari logos and there's a strut right do you know that's my dream car like all the time dream cars and silver spec is insane oh my god yeah this is okay so I I bought a manual 360 about a year and a half ago because I couldn't afford a chance to darling for yeah I think this is gonna one day be super super strong because it is the first of its kind right in terms of them they're actually good to drive on the road compared to especially were you only ever getting five percent of the yeah performance really different area and no stripe which I think is winning and no radio cuz you're a proper man [Laughter] other we have yellow caliper otherwise the speck is perfect you're right room that's the only difference I come to find them not red and silver gray or blue or how long have you had it you see the blue one did you - two years - years - yeah I was chasing the car - no four years ago but I think you just wanted too much money because he was asking 220,000 for 35,000 kilometers acquire and that was just too much the values have gone a little bit is it okay to live with I mean look after you have any know they made fifty or forty five or fifty fifty fifteen one five whoa that's yeah that needs to be shown off for them yeah and I think for us original original 11,000 kilometers in that color wow that cars porno we had another half a million yeah heard that is see either something about yeah I don't know why the nicest for us is the one that speaks to me of one but you can I can i Q&A you can I answer a couple of questions because I know there's a ton of my audience maybe my younger audience you out there taking photographs of cars okay thinking how do I make this a profession or more than a hobby do you have like I know there's a lot of pressure put on you real quick as you step into the car but if you had like one little gem of advice advice you know every time I do are those questions on Instagram that's like one of the main its first what camera to use any what lenses and the second one is like someone starting out what are the tips you can like her advice you can give it's a tough one you know I think it's worth as s cliched is to say keep on shooting and do as much as you can and eventually you'll kind of develop your style as a photographer at least I think also with YouTube as well I mean you will shoot videos and maybe the first ones will be crab and then with each one you do we kind of learn a bit to it and the next one you'll change that or adapt from that and keep on going in photography it's the same thing you test out what works you test out what doesn't work and I think you should really look up or look at other photographers work and not copy but it is spotted by it and see oh he did that I'm gonna try to see how I can do that in my way or or just test out or something like that and then network this whole game is networking so true so true it's a lot about know you can get to know and then the opportunities come sure so favorite car you have a photograph I know that's like pick a child yeah well like a hill or just favorite memory favorite photo shoot baby I got the experience to drive a McLaren 572 tea in Iceland so it's definitely not my favorite car ever photographed sure but that experience in a hole spending a couple days driving in Iceland with that McLaren and those locations it was male choice it wasn't it was I picked up that car in Hamburg northern Germany okay then I drove to northern Denmark took a two-day ferry with that car and spent a week in Iceland shooting for the drive do you know that trouble yes so it was an episode with Matt Farah Chris Harris and Mike Spinelli and it was a race between four Raptor and McLaren I knew that episode I see no video that is soo was my terrible job to have to deliver that car to the to the shoot and photograph it I might need I'm hiding some advice on that Denmark Iceland favor let's chat about that decided [Music] Stefan wasn't wrong that coffee it was really good and given the fact that it's 6:00 p.m. and I had an espresso at the dealership like an hour ago and now I've had a delicious oat milk cappuccino I'm kind of buzzing dunno that's coming across on camera but I really shouldn't have that many coffees this late in the day flying back at the crow T about to go around the corner and pick everyone up because we're going to go and do some photos with that 300sl roadster which is stunning it's just been restored by HK engineering apparently one of the world's or if not the world's leading Gullwing 300sl restores what I'm losing my mind so yes okay here we go a typical Stefan Bower photo shoot in Munich yeah clips as a procedure there's always a procedure it's so easy I mean honestly and then it comes with these little banners that seeps of bleeding it always amazes me how huge the steering wheels are in this cars yeah it's like driving a bus row so it's a bit of a bit of a handful this is to show off now I bought an analogue camera I was such a photographer but definitely going to be getting the best results from everyone here today's shooting this coming just remember the name of that so Hasselblad ha has about 500 cm yep absolutely format it's got Wi-Fi connectivity immunity yeah straight to the iPhone stanza Graham well that day was as random as I thought it might be but absolutely awesome huge thanks to Stefan for arranging all of that so cool to see at 300sl roadster with that with the top down in that location the Sun beaming onto it just looked amazing but let's not forget the dealership where the afternoon starting is that was pretty special in itself and that coffee which I'm still kind of buzzing from I now have an hour so dry an hour or so drive to my hotel and it's kind of Munich rush hours I don't think it's gonna be very exciting so I'm going to sell off the video here give
