in this Diablo 4 video I'm going to be showing my death dealer build this is an upgraded version of The Shadow barrage build and is a rogue build meant for World tier 4 and 70 plus so if you're familiar with that build the differences between this build are that we've replaced poison imbuement here with poison trap and there's a few reasons for that first it saves a bunch of ability points um when you run multiple Dumas you consume a lot more ability points trying to make them viable and also because poison trap has a chance to refresh Shadow imbuement with the upgrade we have which is fantastic and it knocks enemies down and we have a bit more of a focus in this build on traps than we did in the previous build and that's also because we've replaced rate of arrows with death trap here and I think it fits better in this build than reign of arrows and you can still use rate of arrows if you want but the reason that I like this here versus maybe something like a rapid fire build is that barrage really shines when you're closer to enemies and you can hit them with multiple arrows versus being further away now you can still use barrage from a distance it works very very well particularly because we have a lot of status effects in this build and it'll spread them all over the screen but when you're really up close to a group of enemies and this really really shines and when you use death trap pulls enemies together kind of like you know isolates them groups them up for you deals damage to them and if you drop like poison trap and death trap then you're gonna knock them down into your poison and then you can just unload with your barrage into them additionally because we have the passive trap Mastery whenever you use poison trap or death trap whenever these activate you gain 12 increased Critical Strike chances against vulnerable or crowd control enemies for 4 seconds this is huge because you have 100 uptime on vulnerable with this build so every enemy you're fighting is always vulnerable like 99 of the time and you have a lot of crowd control in the build so you're getting that 12 Critical Strike chance pretty much whenever you attack after you've activated these traps so a big part of me using barrage is managing your energy because barrage is an ability that you can Channel and essentially just hold down the button and arrows will just continue to fly out draining your energy as fast as you can basically fire arrows away so a big part of playing barrage is managing your energy and we do that a few ways first is by using the ravenous aspect this makes it so that whenever you kill a vulnerable enemy you get up to 70 increased energy regeneration for four seconds again every enemy we fight is vulnerable in this build because we're using the exploit aspect which makes it so that when you damage an enemy they're vulnerable for three seconds but also every fourth cast of barrage will set vulnerable on everything it hits and usually because you're attacking so quickly by the time the three seconds have worn off of your original vulnerable if anything is still alive you'll reapply vulnerable with barrage and then like let's say you're fighting a boss then you'll keep reapplying vulnerable every four uses of barrage another way here is by using the aspect of the umbrella this gives you up to four of your primary resource back when you crowd control enemies we have a lot of ways of crowd controlling in this build and this is going to help keep your energy you topped up and I'll get into what those are here in just a minute another way is by taking the consuming Shadows passive which makes it so that each time you kill an enemy with Shadow damage you would generate 30 energy this works really well with Shadow and human so you're going to use this kind of like if you start a trash pole of enemies and you're like firing into the massage once you get about below 50 energy that's when you want to pop Shadow and viewment if you don't you know you can always buff yourself at the beginning like if you're running in between trash poles so that you lead with Shadow and Demon but if you don't for some reason about halfway through your energies when you're going to want to pop Shadow imbuement so that you can finish off enemies and also replenish your energy so you can keep your barrage up another way is adrenaline rush this makes it so that while you're moving you gain 15 increase to energy regeneration you move a lot with this build even though you stand in place when you're firing barrage you typically move and shoot a lot with this build so this really helps so now that we've talked a little bit about how we manage energy let's also talk a bit about the other part of this build which is crowd control we do a lot of crowd control at this build and why that is is not only it increases our damage because of the control glyph and gives us energy because of uh aspect of the umbral but it also protects us one of the things about using barrage is you're standing in place firing like you can't stand in place and fire or cast a spell if you're a different class very easily unless you are extremely tanky if you have Unstoppable or if you have some way of preventing enemies from attacking you and thankfully in this build we have a lot of ways of preventing enemies from attacking you via crowd control so the first way is via mangler's aspect this gives you up to a 45 chance of whenever you deal direct damage to a vulnerable enemy to Daze them for two seconds again we have a hundred percent uptime on vulnerable so whenever you damage an enemy that's vulnerable You're gonna have a chance to make them dazed and dazed enemies cannot attack or use skills so they're going to be standing there not able to attack you and this is considered crowd control so again you'll get that damage increase but also they can't do anything to you while this is happening and another way we do this is via frostburn frostburn is unique gloves which makes it so that you have a lucky hit chance to freeze enemies for two seconds up to 25 percent and this works really well here because a lot of times you'll Daze enemies with the manglers aspect sometimes you'll freeze them with this aspect so between these two you're gonna get constant CC's which is going to help keep up your energy but also prevent enemies from doing things too and that helps keep you alive while you keep your damage high if you don't have frostburn or you don't like it as much you could also use fist of Fate here which makes it so that you have a chance to immobilize enemies and as well as a chance to Daze enemies a further chance to Dave's enemies unlucky hits as well as a couple other effects so that's also an option that'll give you crowd control if you have prosper and you can use frostburn I kind of like frostburn for this build a little bit more than fist of Fate but either one is up to you now I don't have it on my chest piece here I have aspect of the protector but you could if you want and I've been considering adding this build use aspect of shared misery and what this essentially does is it gives you a chance when you hit a crowd control enemy to spread that effect to other enemies on Lucky hit so because you're kind of natively you know applying these or naturally applying these status effects these crowd controls to enemies just climb your regular attacks and when you're hitting these enemies and then it spreads to further enemies this is only going to up your damage with crowd control to give you more energy back via the umbral aspect and also protect you more so this is not bad to add to this build if you want as well we also have poison trap obviously this knocks enemies down that's crowd control so there's another way to get crowd control there which boosts your damage gives you resources poisons enemies and prevents them from hitting it and something that synergizes really well with this build is the unique helmet Calvin nameless this gives you cooldown reduction dexterity crowd conflagration we do a lot of crowd control maximum energy which is great for barrage but more importantly it gives you increased lucky hit chance against crowd control enemies um so again if you're using something like the aspect of shared misery this is going to allow you to share stuff a lot more easily it's going to allow you to gain energy more easily because of the Innovation passing which makes it so that unlucky hit you have up to a 30 chance to gain eight energy so this is just really really good for this build and spreading around crowd control spreading around more gazes particularly if you have the aspect of shared misery so on my bow I have aspect of ranching volleys and what this does is it makes it so that whenever your arrow is Ricochet which should be quite often with this build because they Ricochet when they hit vulnerable enemies or when you crit which is constantly they have up to a 50 chance to split into two arrows now it's only 50 because it's on a two-handed weapon which is what you want but then that's going to give you more damage it's going to spread status effects around more easily it's going to hit more enemies on the screen making more enemies vulnerable it just works really really well for the spill now ideally you'd want a crossbow here for more vulnerable damage because crossbows come with vulnerable damage on them and then you can roll vulnerable damage on them I have not found a great crossbow so my bow here has vulnerable damage on it it's got dexterity those are both good got damage to crowd's control and it's also got damage for Frozen enemies which works nicely because we're using uh frostburn here but Frozen might not be that great if you're using something like this to fate so again for your melee weapons You're Gonna Want swords and that's because they both give Critical Strike damage natively Critical Strike damage is a huge part of this build and it's definitely one of the better things you can have so you want two swords ideally and on my first one I have the icy Alchemist aspect and this makes it so that when I lucky hit a chilled or frozen enemy with a shadow viewed skill that I have up to 75 chance to cause like a cold explosion that kills other enemies you don't necessarily have to have this one in the build particularly if you're not using frostburn it wouldn't make sense but I find it works really really nicely here because we're hitting Frozen enemies constantly particularly with Shadow and bumin and this is going to chill other enemies which increases your damage and again if you have aspect of shared misery you can spread that chill around even more like other enemies chill which makes the move slower attack slower it's just really really good all around and on your swords you're going to want to look for vulnerable damage Critical Strike damage core skill damage dexterity stuff like that damage against traps enemies is good if you have you know Frozen damage against Frozen enemies also good Etc a very good alternative to this one if you don't want to use this where you're not using frostburn is the vengeful aspect this makes it so that you have a up to a 50 chance when you make an enemy vulnerable to Grant yourself three percent Critical Strike chance stacking up to three times or nine percent Critical Strike chance this is almost guaranteed nine percent Critical Strike chance for you because you've set everything vulnerable constantly so you're gonna have an extra basically nine percent Critical Strike chance whenever you're in combat and that helps with damage tremendously so this is not a bad option either so then for my other sword I have accelerating aspect and this makes it so that when you hit with a Critical Strike with your core skill or barrage in this case your attack speed is increased by up to 25 which is really nice because you just cannot Fire fast enough with raw if you want to just unload arrows into enemies as fast as you can and this speeds up that process upping your damage and preventing them from killing you because you're killing them faster than it can kill you and then on my necklace I have aspect of corruption this makes it so that your imbuement skill effects or in this case Shadow imbuement have up to a 60 increased potency against vulnerable enemies this means they're going to hit harder explode for more damage against vulnerable enemies because everything is vulnerable in this build this just works really really well you don't have to use this one for this build frankly it's not super important it does boost your damage with Shadow and view men and one of the things about Shadow and human is if you're not killing things with Shadow imbuement then it becomes useless so this kind of helps prevent that from happening and it's not a bad one to put here things you want to look for on your necklace are energy cost reduction you want to get barrages cost down because you want to be able to use it as much as you can you want to look for cooldown reduction so that you can use your human skills more often your trap skills more often concealment more often Etc uh you want to look for imbuement skill cooldown reduction give shadow and doomin even more cooldown these things are all really really good on your amulet so talking a bit about Paragon first let's take a look at your baseboard or the one that every road has and here we have put the control glyph and that's because increases your damage to crowd control enemies and also chilled and Frozen enemies which works nicely because we're using frostburn here but you do a lot of crowd control and this is one You definitely want for this build now if you were a bit lower level you would probably put something like exploit here or put combat here but because we have more boards that we can move things around accordingly where we want them which is why I have control here so for my second board I've gone with exploit weakness and that's really because there's a lot of good rare nodes on this board that increase your vulnerable damage you get extra damage against Elites and roll damage is huge it multiplies separately than a lot of other modifiers it has its own bucket if you will the way it multiplies so it's very very good and very very strong in this building because we use vulnerable in everything you get a lot of value out of it and you really want to take these notes to help further boost your vulnerable damage vulnerable damage should be something you're looking for on your jewelry on your weapon Etc you literally cannot get enough vulnerable damage and for my second glyph here I've slotted combat to further boost our Critical Strike damage with core skills or in this case barrage Critical Strike vulnerable two very very important parts of this build because again Critical Strike damage gets multiplied after all some of the other calculations have happened so you get a lot lot of value out of Critical Strike damage kind of like the way you do out of vulnerable damage so it's really really important and again I've put it here in order to maximize its use and we move exploit up to our last port obviously you want exploit in pretty much any rogue build you're running I've just moved it up to my third board but again if you were lower level and didn't have enough boards yet you're on your second board you'd probably put exploit here so for my third board I'm using tricks of the trade I don't really care for the legendary aspect here but there are a lot of good nodes here some give physical damage which everything we do besides Shadow and the trap poison is physical damage like if you're just attacking the bras you're dealing physical damage that's nice getting some crit strike damage more damage against Elites a lot of damage reduction here and we've dropped the exploit glyph in here in order to you know put vulnerable in everything and further boost our vulnerable damage so that kind of wraps up the death dealer build I hope you guys really enjoy this build it works really really well you can run dungeons way higher level than you and because of the crowd control you know a lot of dangerous enemies that normally you know a lot of Rogues might have trouble with or maybe some other builds might have trouble you just don't have problems with them because usually you're freezing them and then you're dazing them and then you're knocking them down or whatever like it's just boom boom boom like they never have a chance a lot of the time to really cause an impact to you some of them have like a lightning and you know fire that can hit you even when they're cc'd and those are probably the most problematic Elites but otherwise most Elites are just not problems for you even if you have to like run into suppressor you just run in there drop your traps they get knocked down and you kill them before they even get up so suppressor is not really a problem for you in this build like it would be like maybe in Rapid Fire [Music] thank you
