Dead Nearly 2 Hours, Dean Braxton Shares What He Encountered in Heaven

welcome back to another episode of the two christian dudes podcast where each time randy and i have a wonderful discussion with an amazing person if you've been watching or listening to the episodes in season one you know we're talking about near-death experiences and today's guest is no exception we're going to be speaking with dean braxton he has a wonderful book called in heaven and today we're going to get into his journey uh how he came to have his near-death experience what he experienced in heaven and what unfolded after god sent him back so let me get dean and randy into the conversation and away we will go randy my friend take it away sir speaking of friend dean is my friend we met in texas with with uh a group out there and uh since that time uh we've had a conversation or two and uh uh you know our our stories really we were talking about uh before the show here uh a line so closely i felt like oh wow finally i find a brother who just went through walked in uh in my shoes so to speak and you know dean is someone who um loves talking about the lord he's taught all over the world uh he is somebody who's who has a wonderful family he he really uh talks about the nature of of god in a way that i think our audience will find very refreshing uh as he as he walks through his experience so i know dean you've gone through this umpteen times you've been on all of the major talk shows um but if you would just give us a summary because your story is so absolutely amazing how long you were clinically dead and could you lead into that and how that happened and what happened well thank you randy uh it's great to be here with both of you it's just the christian guys that you call let's do it i like that name uh well just to give you some background on what happened to me this happened to me in 2006. i died for what uh the medical records say about an hour and 45 minutes i was what you call clinically did how that happened was that i had a kidney stone that got stuck on the right side of of my body and i went into the hospital to get it taken care of i ended up also having a kidney infection and they gave me antibiotics which they're supposed to to take care of the kidney and infection but no one ever went back to check to make sure it was gone so by the time they did the operation which which was really lipid tripsy they uh they uh uh literally kinda like the infection was still there so they pushed the poison into my bloodstream and i became what you call septic and everything in my body started shutting down um like i said according to the medical records a hour and 45 minutes that's how long i was clinically dead and during that time um you guys i got to go to be with the father and jesus in heaven you know i always tell people i was born again knew jesus christ as lord savior i always like to make the statement it's not unusual for christians to go to heaven that's what happens to us when we leave our body that's the norm you know and i just wanted to make sure that people understand it you know uh during that time i yeah i got to go to be with the father of jesus in heaven you know um if there's if there's you know there's a there's one thing that people always ask me uh before this happened and it said thing did you need uh what what was your life like was was it something that needed to have a dramatic change in it and i'll be honest with you to me at the time i was at the top of my relationship with my wife my children were doing well in college both of them were in college um and and we were passing a small church plus i also had a job working for king county there in the seattle area this is where it took place in seattle area and i i was one of the managers of the juvenile justice system there and so if anything my life was at the top of the mountain this took place you know so so it wasn't like i had a dramatic change in my life so that i could get on the road with christ i was on the road with christ loving it and then all of a sudden i died well that's a great leading to where we want to go next in our conversation dean uh so your heart stopped i think you said for an hour and 45 minutes uh when your heart stopped did you like what did you experience next were you floating were you aware were you someplace else like uh different people have different uh kind of transitions from the natural to the supernatural what was that like for you you know for me it was fantastic and it's you know something for a person to say i died and it was a fantastic experience but i even realized when i was dying this was after the operation and the poison was going through my system really the medical field at the time didn't know what was going on um you know they didn't think this was happening at the moment and i can remember when i realized i was dying what was happening is i was getting shorter and shorter breath every moment and they had taken me out of the recovery room i've been in the recovery room after the operation for about three hours and they were taking me down the hallway to put me in the icu into the caribbean and they were gonna put more antibiotics into my body to try to stop whatever was going on and so i can remember when they were doing that i said to myself i am dying and i just knew it i knew i was dying and i was kind of kind of complex with at the time because i was thinking why am i dying i don't remember getting hit by a car i don't remember falling off the building i remember anything that would cause me to die i just remembered i came in here came into the hospital for a kidney stone and i thought you don't die from kidney stones and i just remembered thinking to myself after i made a statement you know i wasn't panicking i wasn't afraid all of a sudden within me rolls up these words i'm going home and this joy peace comfort came all over me so i remember that moment of going through that process of realizing i was dying i remember coming into the hospital room or icu rather and and the doctor at the time dr rhea he wasn't the one that caused the issue i always have to make sure i say that he was the one that was called in to clean up the mess you know he was a critical care doctor and his job was to stop me from dying he was talking to me and my wife he said he needed to put a pick lying in me so that he could put more antibiotics in me and so we both agreed me and my wife the next thing i know leaving my body and i'm going to be with the father and jesus in heaven i didn't look back sometimes people say well they look back and they saw the table and they saw all the people i did not look back i knew i was going home and i just remember before me was a light it looked like a window it wasn't a window but that's the closest i can come to describing it and i remember it going there really fast you know i used scripture a lot of times to define some of the movements that i was making and in this case i used a scripture that says to be abstinent in the body to be in the presence of the lord i want people to understand how fast i would believe in my body the goal to be with the father of jesus in heaven and one of the reasons i say that is because what was amazing on the way there all of a sudden i saw these lights passing me by on both sides and and they were like they looked like shooting stars they weren't but they looked like shooting stars and i came to realize they were the prayers that people were praying for me and others and that that really amazed me later on that the prayers that people were praying were moving faster than me and yet for me to describe how fast i was moving i have to say absolutely from the body to be in the presence of the lord faster than you could blink i was there and yet the prayers that people were praying for me and others were it was something else you know wow you know dean uh there are a lot of kind of typical experiences you might say for people who have had an afterlife or near-death experience you mentioned maybe one or two already but um you went through this kind of uh would you call it a galactical space or was it did you have an an intermediate space before you found yourself in heaven with uh with the lord you know it was interesting i remember leaving the hospital in the building i remember where our atmosphere died the living of the earth and and going through what we call our universe and then i entered into this area like you just said there's this dark area it was really dark there was no light in there except for the light that was before me which was a heaven and also um there were the stars that are the prayers that were passing by that looked like shooting stars and that was the only light that i had in that realm before i entered into that window like light and i remember oh man this is really something when i entered in i just remember how everything was right there was nothing wrong i'd like to say it's past peace you know because there was nothing to be peaceful from so that's what i really enjoy you know experienced when i was leaving my body going to be with the father and jesus and uh another a couple of typical markers and i don't know if these are part of your experience dean um did anybody meet you when you got to the other side yeah my my experience was really interesting because once i entered into the realm i wanted to be where jesus was i always tell people i didn't go to heaven to be in heaven i went to heaven because that's where jesus and the father is and my desire was to be where he is and i just remembered that i wanted to see him more than anything else and there were so many fantastic things that took place there don't get me wrong but the one thing i wanted more than anything else is to see jesus i wanted to to thank him for what he had done for me and so i did get to to experience him and then also on the other side of jesus you know i always say when i first saw my i went down on my hands and knees i did exactly what the bible said we're going to do every knee will bow every tongue will confess that jesus christ is lord so i went down on my hands and knees i remember looking past him later on and on the other side of him was my family you know my grandmother mary was out front i always tell people but whiffer were other people that were part of my family and then it was generation after generation after generation after generation of all those that had that connection with jesus christ that were there in heaven they came to greet me in so that was my contact in the sense of family members there and jesus christ now i did get to meet so many other i call them creations of god some of those were redeemed that mean there had been people on this planet that had gone to heaven and then there were those that were created in heaven like angels and other creatures that i did come in contact with you know dean uh we've talked about that that encounter with the lord uh jesus father and you've mentioned them in tandem uh jesus and the father and one of the things that uh within uh within christianity if you will that that we um struggle with sometimes is the the the uh trinity uh jesus father and what that what that is how how did you encounter uh the facets of god um in heaven and what was that like for you to first meet the maker of heaven and earth i mean it must have been an incredibly uh amazing experience so could you kind of explain what that was like yeah it for me it was really there's no words to really describe it english words maybe there's some other language if i knew it that i could take it in but i will tell you that you know the holy spirit was there with me he was on the inside of me i always tell people when i got to heaven jesus looked at me saw himself on the inside of me and i was in that's in the holy spirit i saw jesus christ i saw the father and it's so hard for me to separate them like we do here on the planet we call the father the son and the holy spirit i'm not saying they were one like one the one being like that but i am saying they were one in the sense that it was hard for me to ever say i'm just talking about one of them at one time i'm always talking about them even if i say jesus i'm talking about all all the other two if i say the holy spirit i'm talking about the other two if i say the father i'm talking about the other two so for me it's really been harder now than ever before to separate them like we do on the planet many times and trying to describe them and heaven always tell people no one's trying to unders to uh define god you know to understand god they're accepting him who he is i love that and it was marvelous just to be before jesus the the one thing that got me me and you talked about this was the love there's no there's no word to describe that love that you receive from jesus christ and in the sense of how much he loves you you know one of the things i tell people everything in heaven just didn't love me but accepted me i don't know how to describe that any better than what i'm saying right now because we all want to be accepted and when i experience jesus i remember i not only experienced the love of jesus but he accepted me you know and all i could do when i first saw him was say these words you did and then the next words that came out of my mouth was thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you and randy to tell you the truth i could have kept on saying it for 3 000 years because i tell people i just wanted to thank you and another thing that is really typical amongst our friends who've had near-death experiences is uh experiencing some sort of a life review did you have any kind of a life review experience while you were in heaven you know i didn't have a life review like like most people talk about what i did notice though every time i thanked him for something i was thanking him for something he did in my life and it was like he was there all this time from the day i was created up until that moment he was there with me and i didn't realize how much he had been there it was like i didn't know that you were there all this time in every aspect of my life there were incidents that were shown to me that he showed up in and i thought i didn't know you were their father i didn't know you they were there jesus and yet i tell people if i would have known 99 or 1 of 99 of everything he did i would have been doing good it's like i only knew a very small a portion of how he entered and intervened in my life and that you could say was a live review but on my end i was just thanking him for being there every moment dean um we talk we have talked about the perception that we commonly have of god um here on in this world and the perception and how that was changed uh from your encounter in heaven and what we need to know about the lord i know we've talked about love obviously and that's that that takes on different connotations but what was the kind of the quintessential difference if you will of what you experience with god in heaven that changed how you viewed uh the lord from your perception prior to meeting him face to face you know i think the first thing that really changed is that you know i met the lord jesus christ the holy spirit was residing on the inside of me he was more real than i could ever explain but the biggest thing that really impacted me was the father and the reason i say that is because i had always addressed him as god lord you know those type of things but i never really referred to god as the father and i remember being there i felt like his son you know his offspring he loved me so much that it changed the way that i approached him in the sense of now he's my father you know i do it in the name of jesus christ don't get me wrong but i approached him as my father and in the even the conversations i have with him are more like a father and son talking than a god and and some human being talking and it's very personal to me you know i i just remember how it says in the bible that we can go boldly to the throne of grace and that's what i feel like i do every time that i'm approaching god almighty now i approach him as my father number one and number two i feel like i'm going home when i'm talking to him i i didn't have that feeling before i didn't feel like it when i was praying that i was going home i feel like now when i'm praying i am literally going home to talk to my father and dean since we're having this conversation obviously you came back into your body here on earth but uh in terms of coming back did you it's not uncommon for people say that they wanted to stay in heaven because they really felt home um were you given any kind of a choice or did did jesus reveal to you why you were being sent back give us some context for uh the journey back into your body you know that that's really interesting you would do would ask that question you know i had three encounters of him telling me no it's not my time to go back i i when i first went to heaven i remember um going to jesus and he communicated with me downloaded as i told randy before and then he said to me no it's not your time go back and i went to what i called the edge of heaven well it really wasn't it i don't know i just knew if i took one more movement i would be out of that realm and i felt like my body was not ready so i turned around and and literally went throughout heaven experienced a whole lot of things and then uh i got back to jesus and again he said to me no it's not your time go back and i remember again leaving and and and getting to the edge of heaven and and and the next thing i know i'm i'm gonna leave and my body wasn't ready again i just knew it wasn't ready someone asked me one time how did you know it wasn't ready i just knew it wasn't ready and so i turned around i thought for sure i was staying that i was not going to i like everybody else i did not want to leave i traveled through heaven a little bit more got back to jesus experienced a whole lot of things and then he looked at me again he said no it's not your time go back i tell people i felt like a soldier i used to be in the military the air force i felt like i put my hand up and saluted yes that's what i felt like and uh i remember thinking if i look over on this side of me i can make a choice of staying but i didn't want to look mainly because i wanted will more than mine and i felt like he was saying to me i need you there more than i need you here and i remember turning and leaving and leaving that realm and oh boy just even talking to you right now to get that overwhelming sadness that comes when i was leaving that realm to come back to this earth and i i just i remember the prayers going the opposite direction i was going i remember how sad that was i felt like a newborn baby crying all the way back i remember this is when i entered back into the hospital room and um and and i didn't hover over my body but i remember seeing everybody you know doing their thing they weren't working on like before they had given up probably and i just remember uh looking at everybody and then coming to my body and i don't know why i did this to this day i don't know why i did this i was coming down face first forward all of a sudden i turned over and went into my body i don't even know why i did that and i just remember entering in my body but that was the experience of coming back to this planet and like everybody else has ever had the experience no i did not want to come back i always tell people if you would ask for volunteers i would not have volunteered i would have met you in heaven amen to that i think we can i certainly can concur and most who have had that experience or all of them uh you know one thing that that is so common i know you know this dean so well is that people want a walk through uh heaven you know they want to know what it looks like and you and i uh share the same kind of responses that i just want to talk about the lord i want to talk about jesus and the father um but they want to look they went to know what it looks like you know what they can expect and you know or is it more of a nature scape are people busy it's it's a walk in the clouds like you know the pictures show you know what what is that vista that that uh you saw when you were in heaven and how did that reflect and that love for that that uh presence of the lord you know that's a that's a good question and and you're right i love talking about jesus the father you know in the holy spirit i like to talk i just like to really emphasize that um but you do get to see everything else there it's it's more wonderful than you can imagine it's life it's life without death and and we don't really have that clear picture here on the planet because everything on this planet is trying to survive i always tell people what would a tree look like that did not have to fight to live you know um because you got the weather you know how hot it is not enough water the bugs all that stuff and this tree is still trying to live but in heaven none of that's there it's in and and the thing about it the moment you get there it looks beautiful and the next one looks more beautiful than that and the next moment looks more beautiful than that it's moving in the direction that where the earth is deteriorating you know what i mean the heavens is not deteriorating god is the god of life i like what nehemiah says god is the god of life he creates everything and he puts life in it that's what heaven's like and so it's gotten beautiful colors as you know randy more beautiful colors than you could ever imagine plus they're being produced every moment you know god is a creative god he's still but things are still being created in the sense of how beautiful things are it's that beautiful flowers um there's rivers there there's we called lakes here on the planet i don't really call him that there in heaven there's there's all kinds of great things it's like earth but nothing's falling apart nothing's dying there's no did anything and so how do you describe that you know what's so good about it i got excited about this part you know what's so good about it was i fit i fit in that realm it wasn't like i had to get there and they had the the you know say okay here's the orientation you know here's a quarantine area when i got there everything was right and i fit man that's hard to describe in itself you know well it definitely sounds like you felt like you were home which just seems to be uh one thing many of the men and women we've talked to have shared that they just they felt like they belonged they were where they were always meant to be uh dean you and i talked a little bit before we got into the interview about that it's been an ongoing journey and i'm sure for both you and randy continues to be an ongoing journey as you process everything that you experienced on the other side of the veil but in terms of like your your kind of mission your calling why you were sent back i mean we were talking about earlier that um you and your wife are already leading a house church and you always had this kind of inkling in your spirit to pastor and minister to people so uh in this latter part of your journey like how did you because it's been what 15 years since your experience how has god sent you on a journey on a mission after your experience you know that's really a good question you know um you know i've been able to travel throughout the united states and around the world i've been all 50 states been able to share and many countries throughout the world be able to share this experience my major goal with everybody is to say this is what i experienced this is how you get to be in that era you know one of probably the best ways to describe when i was in peru one time i was in a prison there sharing this experience there was a prison you know there's a 1200 guys there and i can remember saying this to them you're tough you're mean you've done all terrible things but there's one thing you cannot be messed up and then i said i died and because i knew jesus christ as lord and savior this is where i went so i started describing it to them when it came time to ask people to accept jesus christ as lord and savior i remember 90 of the men in that prison raised their head to accept jesus you know and so i know that my calling more than anything else is at least bring people to the door they can make the choice of what they want to do but my job is to at least bring them to the door and that's what i do with this with this story or this this experience is i get the opportunity to help people go to the door you know some people you know uh go through it and some people don't but um like i said earlier i i believe i was going to be a past i've done all my studying everything to be a pastor and then i ended up being an evangelist so i go throughout the united states in the in the world sharing jesus christ so that people come to know him as lord and savior you know dean you are a pastor i can testify to that and yeah uh and and you've pastored to me as well you know and just in in discussion and our friendship um you know you and i both have faced um let's say critics skeptics whatever you want to call them those who say well it's not biblically based you know uh you know these near-death experiences or we're looking for the limelight or whatever the whatever it is uh that comes about that kind of um from a person who who doesn't believe and i i can empathize with that because i was a skeptic before i had my own uh afterlife experience that kind of cures it right you and i both so how do you deal with that so there are people that are viewing this now that are saying you know it's not biblically based um and i you know i just think you know these folks are hallucinating or something is going through then chemical is chemically induced versus having that that actual encounter with the lord how do you how do you respond well you know in in the old days it it hurt because i was trying to be as pure as possible as you probably know to share what you experienced um and you didn't have to have an agenda sometimes people think you have this agenda that you're trying to become rich or something like that i always say you go to heaven and see how much you pursue the things of the world it does those things are dim compared to being in a place where nothing falls apart but you know it at the beginning it did you know now it doesn't because i know one thing as long as they know jesus christ lord savior they're going to be able to go to heaven um and and when they get there and they find there and they're there at the same time then we're not gonna argue anymore there's not gonna be any more debates about faith and it isn't that they're gonna say dean you were right they would probably say dean you were way short really described in this place but that attitude doesn't go with you anymore uh and so that's okay with me to have some of my brothers and sisters doubt what i'm saying due to the fact as long as they know jesus i'm okay with it you know that type of thing those that are that don't know jesus and and and you know pursue to be skeptics in this area i'll be honest with you i have very few of those that that question and you know every once in a while a doctor may came up and said you really couldn't have died that long then i showed them the medical records saying that well you were dead and then they're open to uh you know hearing what i have to say but the reality of it it is that right now my my responsibility i believe is to share as much as i can as more as many people i care so that they have the opportunity to do what jesus christ said and that is he said he's the way the truth in life no one comes to the father except through him so i want to point out if you want to go there this is the way and you can criticize me you can tell me i'm lying you can say all you want all i want is as long as you know jesus i'm okay with it well dean i want to touch back on the medical stuff for a minute you know you said your heart stopped for an hour and 45 minutes you were having surgery for kidney stone related complications you had an infection your body went septic uh but in terms of when you when you come back um there's all kinds of medical issues that god heals you from and i i want to make sure we don't miss out on that part of your stories if you didn't have enough things going wrong that we'd be like yeah he was legitimately dead there was more than just that so give us kind of the full scope of everything that god did in your body well the one thing that uh you know we have we have the medical records and according to the medical workers 29 different things were impacted by the poison going through my body um and like i said earlier many medical people when they look at that they say yeah you died you know the thing about it when i came back about three days later my wife really interceded for me along with a bunch of friends and i i always say she's the general she's the one that stood in the gap for me and in the third day you know all of a sudden i i'm breathing again i i had been intubated or we call the ventilators most people know what that is now i was in you know was taken out of out of my mouth rather and i and so i could breathe again um the next few days they kept on checking on me everything was improving they were surprised because my kidneys had shut down uh like my heart my lungs were damaged they thought uh they had done cpr on me but i didn't have any crack ribs or any of the the sign that they did all that stuff god and he healed me he totally healed everything and so i walked out of the hospital you know really to be honest with you with nothing like i even experienced this if i didn't have the doctors of comments or the medical records people would say you're just lying it didn't really happen to you but when god healed me he totally healed me of everything all 29 different things and he didn't leave a residue and i get to tell people that also you you do go from many different places and you talk to people um kind of circling back to the perception that people have of god here like there are a lot of people that let's say uh feel like god is um is judging them that he's looking at all of the sins that they've committed whether they're christians or not christians believers are not believers and then you know you have you and i both have this encounter with god and our perception changes so how would you speak to somebody right now that feels maybe condemned or that they have to live a righteous life in order to enter heaven from your encounter how would you speak to that person that says you know i think god you know is um is really um more of a fire and brimstone kind of guy you know that's that's really a good question i i had to answer this just yesterday a young lady that's um facing death to be honest with you you know how that is randy we get to talk to many people in in those predicaments and this one lady wanted to and she just felt like she was being uh she said man i gotta perform here i gotta do this i gotta do that and i said when i got to see jesus he looked at me like i never sinned in my entire existence you know that was hard to contemplate even when i came back to the planet mainly because that was not the way i thought it was going to be but then there's two scriptures one found in hebrews the eighth chapter and one found in hebrews the 10th chapter that said that when he forgives you he forgets it and i just thought about it no one's ever really told me that when when i asked god to forgive me for something he not only forgives me but he forgets it and that's the way jesus approached me when i was there he looked at me like i've never seen in my entire existence and then i just came to realize the reason that he wants me to do the things that he wants me to do is not because it gets me something but because that's who i am i'm a new creation of christ jesus so he wants me to act like i'm that new creation and he's given me his holy spirit to help me yeah do i mess up yeah you know but he's also said dean if i confess if you confess yourself is faithful and just to forgive you of all your sins so my my response to them is i do this not because it gives me something i do it because i love him and he loves me and so i try to get them to understand that that literally when they ask the lord to forgive them he not only forgives them but forgets it and i know there's many out there that would like to work their way into heaven and i always tell people my good works didn't didn't get me in you know every thing that i do i believe that jesus is doing through me so he gets the credit for it you know and i'm okay with that i'm okay with that i don't need the credit i got the greatest thing ever i got accessibility to be with him and the father forever because he died on that cross for my sins and i accepted him as lord and savior and that's okay with me what more could i want so randy that's the way i approach a lot of that sometimes with people i just told this lady yesterday and you know you know when you got through when you see the smile on their face and the burden lift from their their their continent you know and that's what happened yesterday i was doing face time with her and i got to see her face when i was explaining it to her you know of course i'm praying that she lived you know she's going through stage four cancer and everything like that and she just wanted to know some things and that was the biggest thing in her mind was was god going to just to bring up all this stuff and tell me how bad i was and i said no when you get there you're going to experience the love of god like you like you never experienced love before wow i love that that that's very powerful dean uh you know i often am just amazed at the types of questions people ask and i know you all talk about this in the green rooms when you guys hear places speaking people will want to know what do the flowers look like in heaven what what color were jesus eyes and you know with these things i'm always looking at it from what's from the marketing standpoint what's the fantastic story we can include in the book or that we can um include in the interview but one of the things that's really struck me is randy and i have been having these conversations and putting up these interviews and people reach out to us i've been kind of amazed and this shouldn't really be a surprise but people are eager to hear these stories because they want to know what not only what heaven is like but they're longing for hope that there is truly something on the other side of that veil and i you know because i live in this world and so many of my friends are authors and leaders who've had these wonderful experiences i just i somehow i'd missed that along the way until randy and i started talking to people so i'd love to have both of you and i know we're going to wrap up but i'm going to extend this but i'd love to have both you just kind of weigh in on just that hope of heaven because that is the one thing people keep talking about is they're eager to see these interviews as they're coming out because they just want to press in and just really have a hope that heaven is waiting for them on the other side so randy dean give us a little more commentary on that aspect well for from my mind it goes right along with what you say and it's been 15 years and i remember when this happened to me randy probably there i thought this would be maybe a five-year run at the most and then i'd get back to doing what i did before working for juvenile justice in king county and and probably passing the small church that i was pastoring but it's grown every year and um you know i i book out usually a year ahead of time in the sense of my traveling because people want to hear they want to know they want to have the hope and even with the pandemic going on and and the coronavirus stuff that took place you know people are really reaching out to me more than ever before i remember going to california just recently where randy is and i was up in the pismo beach um california area and i started out with six meetings i was just gonna do six meetings in the area i ended up meeting and doing services 29 different times that's because of the need right now of people wanting to know about this experience and and what i experienced when i was there and i think the greatest thing we can give people is hope h-o-p-e you know we can give them the hope that that there is more than just this life there's more that and and it is good it's not going to be bad and and they're not going to have to you know i love telling uh uh people this you know when you get to heaven there's no memorial service there's there's no no funerals at all there's no separation ever again you get to be with your family forever the way god wanted to be and you get along with them i always tell people when i got there my entire family was smiling and getting along i said and if that don't tell you in heaven and you don't know where you're at because if your family getting along and smiling you know you must be in heaven so that's what took place there really you got something to say too i i love what you say uh uh brother and one thing that that really i uh impresses me about uh those of us who have been to uh to heaven versus our uh perspective uh prior to that you know we are a society which really is uh governed to a great extent by appearances and i had been in the clinical realm you know i had led um in healthcare industries clinical teams and the likes so i always thought you know we're clinically minded uh and so i i tend to think even analytically in that way as well but one of the things that as you know dean that people ask about you know and it goes back to your um your question or comment sean and that is what were the color of his eyes you know his hair did he did he look like this painting or that painting and all of these things because we are so geared as a society in this world to look at appearances of people and that governs our interpretation of of what that person who that person is and uh in heaven there are there's none of that the appearances mean nothing um you know we the dean and i probably could give a very uh apt description of what jesus looked like um from our vantage point um but that didn't matter you know his eyes the color of his hair the color of his skin all of those things don't matter in heaven it just is inconsequential to the scheme of things because it's the heart of humankind that matters in heaven and that's one thing dean that i know we've talked about as well and that is that we are so fixated on on behavioral styles appearances and you know status and all of these other things in heaven it is flatlined and everything is governed by our value in jesus christ and not our value that is described commonly in this world yeah that is so good well randy i will give you an amen thank you thank you for i love to put randy on the spot in these conversations
