going to be spending a day with the 100 million dollar man AKA Tony Spumoni Tony nina not only is he one of the biggest wholesalers in California he buys and sells over 400 plus cars per month he also owns the largest auto body shop in Orange County and multiple business ventures but I always want to know what a day in a life will look like with this type of person of this caliber so without further Ado or say let's go spend a day in the life with the 100 million dollar man all right y'all let's get this started Tony snooze what's up brother nice to see you you as well my friend you as well thanks for having us today so special you know spending a day in a life with 100 million dollar man I appreciate you guys coming out a lot of things that'll happen today that I won't even know about but uh you know I appreciate you guys coming out we're gonna go through some of the stuff that I do but we can't do it in all in one day yeah but you'll see uh we're right here at Manheim mannheim's the largest Auction Company in the world we have two lanes here that we run cars every single week you know we do between 80 to 100 and some odd cars per week here at this actual location so this is how we're starting off the day we're going to start Well normally I would have ended here but we have some problems that we got to take care of and so like I said today is is real nothing's been scripted so there's a problem so we're going to start here even though I plan to end here and then uh we'll go from there foreign we're in the auction Lanes bro that's where all the magic happens so the cars drive through here and the cars sell we'll uh you know we'll show a little bit of that later but this is where all the magic happens all the cars come in the auctioneers up there and then the representative of the car they run it they sell it all right here here twice a week typically so you're telling me that you own those two lanes and you this is how you make the bulk of your money with the buy and sell business the wholesale business this is the fun part the selling part so every Tuesday when I come here I'm super excited because Tuesday we don't know what's going to happen yeah you're making fifty thousand dollars you're making two hundred thousand dollars that Tuesday you don't know it depends what the cars bring so every Tuesday something different we got to do a accounts BMW Palm Springs well shout out Porsche Palm Springs okay so these stores are owned by the Indigo Auto Group they're a big Auto Group but I've had a relationship with them for many years so I handle all their Wholesales and their trades that don't make it to the front line they go through my auction with Mannheim and we handle all their wholesale inventory that they can't use right because you're the you would say the biggest wholesaler in California you know there's there's guys that are bigger but we're one of the biggest wholesalers on the west coast for sure you said 400 plus cars a month you do typically cool cool cool exit only what's going on bro how are you how are you brother good so guys this is Justin this is snoot how's it going so Justin is a used car manager here at uh BMW Palm Springs okay and we've had a relationship for a long time and uh too long wow how many cars have you guys done together so far how many cars have you bought from from Justin two thousand pounds a few thousand wow we sell the cars for more than what he took them in trade for he's doing his job and I'm doing my job how do you decide who you're going to use for your wholesale car how do you evaluate that the way Tony uh you know worked the business plan initially was you know he came and saw me a lot today's day and age you have a lot of Technology available to you whether it be text email all these different things right can uh miss the point where people will just spammy yeah so what I'm getting out of this the best way to get an account like BMWs come here in person and talk to you and say hi millions of times just make friendship make a relationship exactly wait for an opportunity for me to mess up to where he gives you your opportunity to fix the problem that I messed up have a 2016 Chevy Silverado a gray right here right off the bat you know I see it's got a little Dent right here the headlights are oxidized this tire is May of 2021. you don't want Tires over four years old yeah so there's a lot of little things but I mean you can learn them that fast there's a always a VIN code or a barcode scanner here and then I scan it with my system and it's going to give me all the vehicles information that quick just like that just like that the app you have on your phone yeah but I we're not going to give them the app they got to go to the program for that right so no check engine lights no lights on on the dash so this has a hundred and ten thousand eight hundred and sixty six miles this is a one owner car clean Carfax that's that's extremely important this car with even 110 000 miles 2016 it's still books for twenty four thousand eight hundred and sixty dollars but tells me right now that this car should bring between 18 and 20 000 in our auction so this thing right here this is a gem a 2001 BMW 328 red okay and the VIN right here boom well this car has a 140 800 miles this car looks for around 2100 bucks okay does have a service engine soon light on on the dash right here you know could be spark plugs could be something small you know I think this car will bring about a thousand to eleven hundred bucks so we're starting the first first ever sir 75 000 miles you have to put it exactly to the T yep to the T okay 75 000 747 and then we're gonna look down so the CARFAX is clean up dates automatically gives you everything right there no accidents four previous owners and then they're estimating this car I'll bring around 6400 in the auction okay it does everything for you so if you were buying this car if you wanted to make 500 bucks you'd say Okay I want to buy this car for around 59 5800 and it would sell for 80 800 or so it's telling you the retail index is saying the average car is priced at 8 800 with a hundred and six thousand miles right and it's a 199 day retail unit okay so this was 75 000 miles I think this car would be because it's a less than ten thousand dollars this car will fly off the lot somewhere we need the people that are going to go out and do the work and put the time in and uh I mean this is one of the best livings you can make guys a car is your second biggest purchase other than a house in lots of ghosts too that get reconditioned so all the cars come here Transporters will pull up outside drop the cars off pull them in here so when the cars come in they're gonna first get pointed you see them pointed that direction because they just came in so they got to get checked out so and then they get detailed and then they make a list of what cars have to get fixed before they get put in Lane so after they go the re through the reconditioning lane then they get detailed and all these cars here have all been detailed and all these cars are staged for our auction for next Tuesday already so guys you guys saw the body shop and that aspect of the business this is the other side of the business so right here we're doing between four million and 8 million dollars in cars per month so we move a lot of metal we do over a hundred million dollars in cars that hit this lot and come through this lot per year wow so this is Jeffrey how are you Jeff you're pretty good what about you snooze pleasure snooze nice to meet you so Jeffrey guys is he's been with the company for about three years he's actually going to be one of the newest partners because he is Jeff's son wait so Jeffrey is the guy you're telling me about so Jeffrey is thousand he makes love he does he does he does a real lot of he doesn't like to talk about the money okay but Jeffrey makes he does a very healthy living in the car business this is a business where there's endless opportunity and it doesn't really matter your background or what you do now or what you know if you're willing to learn and just put the time in and listen to the right people and you know I mean really just hit the pavement you can make it and it's a business obviously there is Financial Security but there's also life security like you are gonna make what you're willing to put the time in to make you know I mean there is no like we're not punching and punching out with our heads down you know what I mean we're it's our business and we kind of do things the way we want to yeah if you are willing to put the time in and listen and follow the right steps the opportunities are endless having the right people in your corner helps tremendously without my dad I wouldn't be here without without Tony I wouldn't be here you know what I mean how much did you buy this car for this one yeah this is a Lexus RX 350 it's a 2020. um I bought this one for 35 Grand 35 Grand it's probably worth 36 36 you know what I mean so you can make like one two thousand dollars yeah and and honestly that's and that's a home run on something like this because like I said a lot of times you're just moving cars around you're moving numbers around and if you home run on every car that's fantastic this one right here I mean this is the same kind of situation um beautiful car and I bought this one for I want to say 56 56 so this is a big daddy I mean this is an expensive car bigger range on this one could be anywhere from 57 to 60. and that's just you know some cars it depends on what trim level they are what equipment they have but that's the other great thing about this business is there's no guarantees yeah keeps you on your toes at all times you know what I mean makes it exciting absolutely is there one car here where you think it's going to bring you a lot of stupid money yeah stupid money man you might have to get one of the boss man I mean this is a good one like I'd be kind of modest I think this is probably a three-ish deal all right Tony what's going on I see that uh from the Mercedes we're doing a little Switcheroo yeah man we've been driving around all day in the Mercedes SUV you know and drove a couple hundred miles that's the perk of this business got a lot of different cars to drive so today we're going to take off in the Porsche brand new Porsche wow install a little Switcheroo let's do it what is it the Cayenne cayenne pepper yeah let's go let's get it come on Marley the beauty of the car of
