It important to know that what he says is mostly true. However, this video is very surface level. He just says that trust and fear can't go together. That happiness is just satisfaction and contentment. But it's important to understand how and why these things are true. A lot of people hear Dalai Lama or the mindfulness movement, and they just regurgitate how all of these things are "good" but they don't understand the underlying processes that make them true. Don't take this video at its face value. Try to understand why he came to these conclusion.s
He says we are all emotionally and intellectually and some other thing, all the same. But aren't we not? Aren't we all different? Anyone knows what he means?
This is really good. I have to be competitive in the way I make money I've realized that while its nice to have a degree of wealth its really taken a toll on my state of happiness. In fact, I've felt frustrated and angry. His points on this really hit home.
He presented his ideas in a way I can understand. That was a nice surprise. Usually when I listen to this stuff its the same old regurgitated Buddhist rhetoric. Thanks OP, have this bookmarked.
I was lucky enough to see His Holiness speak a few weeks ago. He does a great job of speaking to a universal audience. He makes jokes. He relates concepts to everyday life. Great video.
That laugh thooo
I'd love to just hang out with this guy. He seems like he has life pretty well figured out. Just an all around swell character I'd love to be around.
It is funny that when we perceive someone to be wise, we might call them "deep". However, this man shows how silly that is. the way he speaks and carries himself reaches every part of you because he is so lighthearted.
