the fourth glorious mystery is the assumption of as free marriage those who trespass against us who lead us not in the temptation amen jesus sinners amen [Music] [Music] amen full of grace lord pray for us pray for our sinners amen amen amen glory is god amen from grace sinners with amen blessed women pray for us jesus pray for us sinners pray for us sinners amen to the father the holy spirit thy jesus who climb until love equals sweet virgin mary pray for us the holy mother of god and we may be making the promises of christ let us pray oh god who is resurrection has purchased for us rewards of eternal life their souls heart of jesus christ the holy spirit in the name of the father son of the holy spirit the lord be with you to prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries let us call to mind our sins i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i ask blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life lord have mercy christ have mercy lord have mercy let us pray may the virgin martyr saint agatha implore your compassion for us o lord we pray for she found favor with you by the courage of her martyrdom and the merit of her chastity through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit one god forever and ever a reading from the first book of kings solomon went to gibeon to sacrifice there because that was the most renowned high place upon its altar solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings in gibeon the lord appeared to solomon in a dream at night god said ask something of me and i will give it to you solomon answered you have shown great favor to your servant my father david because he behaved faithfully toward you with justice and an upright heart and you have continued this great favor toward him even today seating a son of his on his throne o lord my god you have made me your servant king to succeed my father david but i am a mere youth not knowing at all how to act i serve you in the midst of the people whom you have chosen a people so vast that it cannot be numbered or counted give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people and to distinguish right from wrong for who is able to govern this vast people of yours the lord was pleased that solomon made this request so god said to him because you have asked for this not for a long life for yourself nor for riches nor for the life of your enemies but for understanding so that you may know what is right i do as you requested i give you a heart so wise and understanding that there has never been anyone like you up to now and after you there will come no one equal to you in addition i give you what you have not asked for such riches and glory than among kings there is not your like the word of the lord thanks be to god lord teach me your statutes how shall a young man be faultless in his way by keeping to your words lord teach me instead with all my heart i seek you let me not stray from your commands lord teach me your statutes within my heart i apostles gathered together with jesus and reported all that had they had done and taught he said to them come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while people were coming and going in great numbers and they had no opportunity even to eat so they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place people saw them leading leaving and many came to know about it they hastened their on foot from all the towns and arrived at the place before them when jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd his heart was moved with pity for them for they were like sheep without a shepherd and he began to teach them many things the gospel of the lord last night was uh beautiful and um it's gonna stick in my heart for a while beautiful souls gathered together and we like these people who were scurrying to be with jesus as apostles were looking for clarity for truth for the best way possible to get close to god that's we're about to do in these 90 days from the beginning of lent until the feast of the visitation we're going to go to a deserted place by ourselves when we come to that point in our prayer life where we just stop last night i was talking again about martha and mary the second person the holy trinity was in their home and martha just kept being busy i mean good things noble things can't blame her for wanting to be hospitable because of guests in the house but it's the second personal holy trinity mary stopped and she just made the closest connection she could possibly make and she sought that clarity that truth that love it's it's something that's um been missing i think in a lot of our lives we get busy with with doing the things you know that we feel we ought to do um but do we just make time for that intimate relationship with god we want to get strong in his love and that's what this is all about and so we're going to take this time this 90 days to do the mary thing why god wants to use us he wants to send us out but we can't give away what we don't have send us out with what you know is the love percolating in our hearts is there is there a intense passionate desire to want to serve him last night i talked about how my prayer life has become me just saying are you proud of me dad how am i doing dad abba i just want i i just want him to be proud of me and i want to do it exactly his way that clarity that truth that we all are hungering for and so uh if you would please pray that this time is fruitful that this time is a beautiful time of falling in love with god please stand gathering as a family united in baptism and faith let us bring our prayers before the lord for pope francis as the shepherd of the church may the lord guide him in leadership from the heart we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for all who hunger physically or spiritually may god provide for their every need we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for all of us gathered around this table today may god send us forth with a greater commitment to his teachings we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for all who have died may god bring them to the peace of eternal life and today's mass is offered for the people of the parish we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer heavenly father you show us the way of true wisdom through your son jesus hear the prayers we offer this day through christ our lord blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you fruit of the earth and work of human hands will become for us the bread of life blessed be god forever blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you through the vine work of human hands will become our spiritual drink blessed be god forever uh pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father oh lord we bring to your altar these offerings of our service be pleased to receive them we pray and transform them into the sacrament of our redemption through christ our lord the lord be with you lift up your hearts let us give thanks to the lord our god it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god for goodness you created man and when he was just justly condemned in mercy redeemed him through christ our lord through him the angels praise your majesty dominions adore and powers tremble before you heaven in the virtues of heaven and the blessed seraphim worship together with exaltation may our voices we pray join with theirs in humble praises we acclaim holy holy holy lord god of hosts heaven and earth are full of your glory he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest to you therefore most merciful father we make humble prayer and petition through jesus christ your son our lord that you accept and bless these gifts these offerings these holy and unblemished sacrifices which we offer you firstly for your holy catholic church be pleased to grant her peace to guard united governor throughout the whole world together with your servant francis our pope and donald our bishop and all those who hold you the truth hand on the catholic and apostolic faith remember lord your servants and all gathered here whose faith and devotion are known to you for them we offer you the sacrifice of praise are they offered for themselves and all who are dear to them for the redemption of their souls in hope of health and well-being and paying their homage to you the eternal god living and true in communion with those whose memory we venerate especially the glories of a virgin mary mother of our god and lord jesus christ and blessed joseph her spouse your blessed apostles and martyrs peter and paul andrew james john thomas james philip bartholomew matthew simon and jude linus cletus clement sixtus cornelius cyprian lawrence chrysogenius john and paul cosmus and damien and all your saints we ask that through their merits and prayers in all things we may be defended by your protecting help therefore lord we pray graciously accept this oblation of our service that of your whole family order our days and your peace and command that we be delivered from eternal damnation and counted among the flock of those you've chosen be pleased oh god we pray to bless acknowledge and approve this offering in every respect make it spiritual and acceptable so may become for us the body and blood of your most beloved son our lord jesus christ on the day before he was to suffer he took bread in his holy and venerable hands with eyes raised to heaven to your god his almighty father giving you thanks he said the blessing broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you [Music] in a similar way when supper was ended he took this precious chalice in his holy invenable hands and once more giving you thanks he said the blessing and gave the chalice to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for this is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me [Music] the mystery of faith save us savior the world for by your cross and resurrection you have set us free therefore oh lord as we celebrate the memorial of the blessed passion the resurrection from the dead and the glorious ascension into heaven of christ your son our lord we are servants and your holy people offer to your glorious majesty from the gifts that you've given us this pure victim this holy victim this spotless victim the holy bread of eternal life and the chalice of everlasting salvation be pleased to look upon these offerings with a serene and kindly countenance and to accept them as once you are pleased to accept the gifts of your servant able to just the sacrifice of abraham our father in faith and the offering of your high priest melchizedek a holy sacrifice a spotless victim in humble prayer we ask you almighty god commanded these gifts to be born by the hands of your holy angel geralt high in the sight of your divine majesty so that all of us who through this participation at the altar receive the most holy body and blood of your son may be filled with every grace and heavenly blessing remember also lord your servants who have gone before us with a sign of faith and rest in the sleep of peace grant them oh lord we pray in all who sleep in christ a place of refreshment light and peace to us also your servants who those sinners hope in your abundant mercies graciously grant some share in fellowship with your holy apostles and martyrs with john the baptist stephen matthias barnabas ignatius alexander marcelinus peter felicity perpetua agatha lucy agnes cecilia anastasia and all your saints admit as we beseech you into their company not weighing our merits but granting us your pardon through christ our lord through whom you continue to make all these good things o lord you sanctify them fill them with life bless them and bestow them upon us through him and with him and in him oh god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever at the savior's command and formed by divine teaching we dare to say our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil graciously grant peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory are yours now and forever lord jesus christ who said to your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will
