DAD'S LAST FLIGHT AFTER 31 YEARS FLYING WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES

good morning hi last flight less life you excited it's really excited yeah I got my beautiful wife my my son he's behind the cameras right here and we're very excited to be done but it's been a great career I'm gonna apply in 38 years and been with American for almost thirty one years okay going to work last high and I feel sad a little bit but not really I'm really excited I'm very excited [Music] very almost 42 years it's going well [Music] it's my dad's last flight on American it's been a pilot for 38 years it's pretty crazy excited for him now you have to see them every day thank you sittin together with my son so that's why no tricks yeah let's fly upside down I'll rock the wings and then you'll know I'm flying the airplane it looks like a normal day no alternate required and Chicago meaning the weather is not bad the weather is good and everything looks good should be a should be a good flight I think you'll enjoy yourselves so this is the 737 what's cool about this which is unique because it has a HUD a heads-up displays so that's cool I look through that when I land and its got like a circle in circle you match those and it's actually it's more accurate than an auto land a plane that landed so all the different things your throttles your a speed brake it's on top of the wing when you see the big the board's come up [Music] sir gear handle down you set your outfit up here your speed here a lot of years of training and a lot of flying and hotels on an earl mornings and a lot of donuts [Music] 37,000 feet until the nice ride seatbelt sign is off you are free to leave your seats in your seats please keep your seatbelts fastened what are you knocking rebounding [Music] good job people where they needed to go safely don't think [Music] my pleasure [Music] [Music] thank you very much yeah oh yeah it was great you guys are outstanding in there for neck words yeah yeah our job yourself yeah you make ours too thank you yeah retirement [Music] Oh videos I know yeah safe [Music] yeah [Music] thank you [Music] you just finished your last flight how'd it go it went well it actually went really well little swirly on the landing the winds were jumping all over the place but in a few nice yeah it was really what was a good landing but it was swirly yeah cannons I'm surprised I thought we had a fire at the gate or something like that and then they they were posted facing each other and I was going between them and and they sprayed us and then I couldn't celebrate at you I just go down here and get on the bus and I've been doing that for 31 years a fire wow that was cool see the hood yeah but I wouldn't order for myself it's like these guys needed to put out fires they don't need to be spraying by American Airlines it's been nice knowing they're okay see you

How will he get home?

For those of you that don't know. A commercial airline pilots life is not an easy one. Usually "on the road" 4 days out of 7. Hotels every night. Delayed flights mean they get home late too. Every 6 months they go into the simulators for a few days. The simulator sessions are very stressful and are a test that must be passed. Then there is the flight physicals..... it goes on and on.
