paul it seems like every time there was someone in need you would just help them like that one homeless woman with the two colored eyes i mean how am i supposed to stay in business it's not my fault that she's homeless we're not in the business of helping people out we're in the business of selling meals now get out of here before you scare my customers away sorry to interrupt but do you have a years ago i had just moved to the city and i ended up becoming homeless i would sleep outside of restaurants and people like paul would help me by giving me hot meals if it wasn't for people like him i don't know if i would have made it as a matter of fact it was actually paul who was helping me i was the homeless lady with the two colored eyes that's a really sweet story and all ma'am but he's not welcome in this restaurant you can take your business elsewhere before i let that happen okay before i go have you ever heard of dm capital of course they're my biggest client i probably wouldn't meeting with the owner so excited for the promotion except things don't go exactly as planned the owner finds out about the facebook post and fires todd on the spot for violating the company bullying policy now unemployed todd has to look for other jobs applying everywhere he can but no matter where he goes no one wants to hire him because of his bad references after months of being unemployed things get so bad that todd runs out of money having tried so many other options he decides to swallow his pride and apply at a fast food restaurant and then one day todd happens to run into larry welcome to what's up how can i help you sir um actually i wanted to see if todd larry i i barely recognized you what are you doing in a suit well two weeks ago i got promoted to senior district manager i'm now in charge of 125 locations wow that's that's incredible anyways you won the same thing as last time the um 12-inch no um actually i came by to see if see if you guys were hiring oh you see times have gotten a little tough and uh sometimes you got to do what you got to do to put food on the table are you sure you'd want to work for larry the loser i'm really sorry for what i said to fred or roy whatever your name is you still have a job right so maybe you should be grateful for that anyway there is only one thing that is more prestigious than a kitchen star and does anybody know what that is yeah two kitcheling stars now we have an inspector coming today and if he or she likes us we will get that second kitchen star and then i will really be rolling in the dough [Music] you not expect to meet the owner up front you really know how to treat your customers well it's like i always say treat every customer with respect because they are the key to success well i i really love star restaurant but we are hoping that in the very near future we can be a two kitchen star restaurant [Laughter] is that so yes excuse me um let me tell you a little bit about some of my favorite items on the menu the french onion soup is this recipe it is absolutely excuse me i think that man is really trying to don't worry about him see sometimes we give free food to the homeless you know as a way of giving back to the community it's uh it's part of giovanni's commitment to helping others um i really love that thank you over here um how about this you read through the menu and i will be toppings and creating his own style hot dogs when his son takes a bite he can't believe how good it is [Music] harold then expands the menu to include even more items including corn on the cob burgers and sausages in no time customers start lining up so excited to try all the new food the business slowly starts to pick up as word spreads about all the amazing new food at the hot dog stand more and more customers start to come so excited to eat harold's food even a news reporter comes out to do a story about the man who went from being homeless to being an amazing chef at this popular hot dog stand sure enough the story ends up going viral causing even more customers to flock to the hot dog stand and then one day giovanni happens to pay them all a visit hey what's going on here what's what's with this line oh you didn't hear that man used to be homeless but now he's running a booming hot dog stand food is incredible such an amazing story oh i guess that's why nobody's eating at my place anymore huh okay thank you thank you i'm again so i guess you do know how to cook after all huh yeah i guess so well judging by your line here it looks like you're doing something right but listen i was thinking i feel bad about how i treated you before you know and um why don't you come work for me at giovanni's huh really yeah i thought you didn't want to hire me yeah well i i honestly you know things have um gotten kind of slow at my place since you became the talk of the town you know so um what do you say god thanks but uh no thanks we're happy here okay whatever you know what since i'm here why don't i try one of your hot dogs see what all the fuss is about huh sure but uh you're gonna have to wait in line you want me to wait you want the giovanni to whitney this is
