Create SharePoint Site with API and Power Automate HTTP Action #powerautomate #sharepoint

if you ever try to use power automate to create a SharePoint site or list and be like oh man there's no action for this right so we go here to add action we search for SharePoint and we click on the SharePoint see more if we scroll through the list look there's no create site there's no create list there's no create column none of the things that you want to do are here that's okay what you can do instead is use the SharePoint rest API scroll down here to the SharePoint HTTP action right there and so now if you click on that and you fill it in with something like so here you can see right we kind of answer the questions you know what method what API endpoint do we want to hit what headers do we have and what body do we need and bingo bango we can now create a SharePoint site now keep in mind I didn't just make all this up I used the Microsoft documentation for create a SharePoint site using the API and kind of got it from there or along the way I also use chat GPT to help me when I was trying to troubleshoot this if you want to see more just click the link to the related video that'll take you the full size video that walks you through all this
