Cracking the Code: How to Prompt for Any AI Art Style

hi friends Jen here have you ever seen an AI image and wondered how to recreate that Unique Style or maybe you struggled to prompt an idea for an image with endless artistic possibilities prompting for a vision can be tricky today we'll tackle this challenge together you'll learn how to describe an art style even one without a name yet we'll break it down step by step and cover everything from the basics to some Nifty tools that can help you capture that Unique Style you're after so grab your favorite mug get cozy and let's craft some prompts that bring your Creative Visions to life if you've been following my channel you know I'm all about giving you the terms and styles you need to up your air game just a few magic words and the AI knows exactly what to do these style terms are simply a shorthand reference tool way of painting drawing or creating that makes art look a certain way styles are a generalization of many artists Unique Look Monet didn't think I'm gonna make an impressionist Masterpiece when he first put brush to Canvas the labels come after people notice a group of artists making art in a similar way the art style isn't as clear-cut as the label makes it seem there's overlap blending and exceptions even more so with AI images where you can easily blend styles to form new ones so where do you start if you're trying to prompt an artistic look without knowing the style or the words to describe it let's go through the process using this mid-journey image as inspiration start by looking closely at an inspiration image or describing key features of an image you want to create look closely closer describe everything you notice about the image don't think too hard just start listing anything that comes to mind here are a few questions to get you started what is the medium does it look like a sketch a painting a photograph subject or predominant shapes is it a picture of something are the defining features that stick out are the subjects realistic or abstract what are the dominant colors I have a whole video about describing colors in Ai and I'll put a link in the description below what does the light like is the overall image mostly light or dark and what is the overall mood does the image look modern or old have you seen art like this before maybe in one of my videos on different art styles refresh your memory with the playlist or ebook what you see depends on your level of experience you'll get better at this with practice put your descriptions together in a natural way and run the prompt to see how close you get make any obvious adjustments to what you see mine is way too busy so I'm going to ask for a simple or minimal version some AI image generators like Leonardo have a prompt help tool this might help you organize and flesh out your prompt click the prompt generation button and enter a simple prompt if you need some help coming up with descriptive words there are some tools to help start basic with Google Images upload your inspiration pic and Google returns images that are similar pick the ones that look most like your image in shape color and Design now pull out any descriptive words and if you find an artist that creates in this style you've struck gold prompting for a known artist by name is a shorthand way of telling the AI what style you want wouldn't it be great if we could just show the AI or inspiration image and it would tell us the style oh wait can't we do this run your inspiration image through tools like clip interrogator and mid Journey's describe tool these tools aren't perfect the AI struggles a bit with artistic style but these tools do throw up a lot of descriptions pull out the keywords about artistic style and colors and take a look at the suggested artists art these tools aren't always good at iding artists but you may find one with a style you like add any relevant words to your descriptive prompt and finally when you start to get close to the style check to see if your AI image generator shows similar images made on the platform in mid-journey open the upscaled image in your gallery by clicking the web button you'll see similar images underneath yours scan through the prompts for more ideas or search the community Pages for your keywords let's practice with one more image I'll give you some time to describe the image before I show you what I see [Music] thank you [Music] take all these terms and organize them into a prompt this is the result in mid-journey you can do this with a little practice you can describe an artistic style and make images in the style only you can imagine share tips and tricks for prompting Artistic Styles in the comments below if this video was helpful please like the video and subscribe to the channel this is Janet making the photo let's make something amazing together [Music] thank you [Music]
