[Music] [Music] good god bless you and welcome to cornerstone church today i'm going to conclude the sermon series we will not bow with this message a nation on its knees today we turn to an hour in israel's history when they had a decision to make as a people which god would they serve i believe that america is at a decision point itself in just a few days early voting is going to begin and we will make decisions that are going to impact our destiny forever today we'll open up the word of god and see what he has to say about the situation i also want to remind those of you who are watching worthy of honor he is worthy of glory he has the name that is above every name and we magnify that name today let's go before the lord in prayer heavenly father today we ask that heaven above would invade this campus on earth because you have promised that when your people are gathered in your name that you would be there that you would build a throne in the midst of our praises so father today we ask that you come into this sanctuary and you rule and you reign over every life over every heart over every situation you lift every burden you move every mountain you destroy every yoke you make a way where there seems to be no way you comfort those who are burdened and you heavenly father anoint those with glory and honor that need a fresh touch from heaven's throne today lord let all of these things be done in the matchless and mighty name of jesus christ as we stand here in your presence you o lord are honored by what we say and what we do in jesus name we pray all of god's children there seems to be no way we know that you are faithful and you are the waymaker we thank you that even when life is going wrong even when we think that nothing is going right we know that you are in control father and you work all things together for the good of those that love you and are called according to your purpose so father we give you thanks in the midst of chaos we give you thanks in pastor hagie say on a regular basis vote the bible and there are a lot of perspectives about politics and what needs to be done in this nation but there is only one perspective when it comes to the bible and that's truth so tonight we're going to apply truth to the circumstances and situations of our day and i want you to come and be a part of it many of you who have sent in your questions online we're going to address those tonight and i know that you're going to be blessed by what we have i want to remind you that this week begins early voting this is our god and country sunday and it is imperative that you know as a christian in the united states how important your vote is when you vote your values your values are reflected in the leadership that we receive in this nation and so we want to encourage you to vote today is god and country sunday in our prayer garden you're going to see a number of tables set up those are for the candidates who are on the ballot and they'll be here at second service to be presented to the congregation if there's any candidates that you would like to speak to and you would like to find out more about their positions and what they advocate for i encourage you to do that today as this gives you the opportunity to know what is happening and who is going to propose to lead us in this next season in the united states i have this announcement that i need to give you concerning pastor hagee pastor hagee has been diligent to monitor his health during this entire coveted pandemic but this past week he was informed by his personal physician that he did test positive for covid it was discovered early it's being closely monitored he is receiving extremely good medical treatment and i can tell you that he feels well enough to be upset with his doctors so he did let me know before i came to church he did let me know before i came to church today that he covets your prayers and he looks forward to seeing you again very soon back here at cornerstone church i think it would be an appropriate thing for us as a congregation not only to pray for pastor at this moment but also pray for our president as he indeed is struggling with this as well let's do that heavenly father your word declares that when two or three of us come together and agree in faith believing that what we ask in jesus name we would have it so today there are thousands gathered in this room and there's multiplied thousands watching over television and we come into agreement concerning the health of our pastor and the health of our president and all those who are afflicted with this virus lord your blood was shed that we might receive healing by your stripes we are healed it's not a matter of question it's just a matter of fact and so today we ask that the heavenly father who sits upon the throne would put his hand on the physical body of our pastor and upon the physical body of our president and that they would be healed in the mighty name of jesus no weapon formed should prosper no virus has the authority over the name that is above every name and it is that matchless name that we speak today knowing that it conquers every sickness every disease every issue and challenge in our life is defeated because jesus christ has given us victory in jesus name we pray amen this morning if you would like to participate in our the sea [Music] me [Music] my [Music] is [Music] yes [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] the church that lost its soul who was this church group of people who call themselves the church christ followers but they couldn't tell you what they believe he's speaking to john the revelator he says you've got to tell that lukewarm church i wish you were hot i wish you were cold because if you were cold i could fire you up and if you were hot i could watch you burn but because you're neither i can't do anything with you and i want you out of me to a lukewarm church in a lukewarm nation and a lukewarm generation has to be preached with passion because jesus said these things he said be zealous and repent i'm sending you this letter so you have time to get right before i arrive lukewarm churches they preach to feelings rather than standing upon the promises and teaching believers to live by faith i believe that the message that he has given this house and that is preach the word preach all of the gospel to all of the world and all generations that may not be politically correct that may not be popular in the street that may not be what the attitude of the culture in society wants but if that's what god in heaven declares and that's what god in heaven requires then god in heaven will be pleased with our effort because our purpose is to do god's will [Music] if you would please stand for the reading of god's word this morning we conclude the sermon series we will not bow with this message a nation on its knees if you brought your bibles i encourage you to turn them to first kings the 18th chapter and the 21st as we consider what happens when a group of people in a nation make a decision against the truth of god's word in this sermon series we began by looking at the lives of individuals meshach shadrach and abednego three young men who decided that regardless of what they were living through they would not bow to a culture that was contrary to the word of god last week we looked at a church a church that was not willing to take a position on what it believed because it was persuaded by the culture to make sure that it accommodated man rather than serve the living god today we look at a time in israel's history when an entire nation was brought to its knees because it refused to remember the faithfulness of the god that had established them they refused to remember that it was god who gave them the power to get wealth not wall street they refused to remember that it was god who had delivered them from the hands of their enemies no other force on earth they refused to remember that it was god who had poured out his mercy and his grace throughout all of their generations and because they refused to remember this they were now on their knees begging for relief the more you search the scriptures the more you look through history the more you begin to understand the cycles that the world goes through you recognize that we are not living in unprecedented times we are living in a time when every person every man every husband every father every wife every mother every child every church every pastor every leader every politician has now got the opportunity to make a decision about what do you believe in and there's only two options you either believe in the promises of god's word that he never fails or you put your trust in the inconsistent self-serving people of this earth you either believe in the god who has declared the end from the beginning who created the heavens and the earth or you put your faith in the statistics that are being pushed out in the latest polls just as it was in the days of elijah and israel and that nation had a day of decision our nation faces a day of decision we decide do we believe in the power of his perfect promises or do we believe in imperfect men we decide today whether we are going to be given the opportunity to stand before god as the church triumphant or the church gone under let me declare to you today what joshua said to his generation as for me and my house we will serve the lord give the lord a hand clap of praise if you found first kings the 18th chapter the 21st verse say amen read with me and elijah came to all of the people and said how long will you falter between two opinions if the lord is god follow him but if baal follow him but the people answered him not a word heavenly father let the truth of this text today echo from the prophet's lips centuries ago into our hearts into our minds into our lives and as we are asked this question let us boldly declare that we serve the living god and none other as we take a stand for him in this generation and see his righteousness and his blessings and his abundance poured out in our lives in jesus name we pray and ask for these things all of god's children said amen you may be seated the question is a simple one if god is god serve him if baal is god serve him and yet as simple as the options are an entire nation of people looked at elijah and the bible very clearly says they answered him not a word what was elijah pointing out in their lives first and foremost he was pointing out the fact that they were living two lives you see a governmental system had come to power in israel the bible says very clearly that king ahab had done more evil in the eyes of all of god than any of his predecessors now when you look at the kings of israel not every one of them lived a pure and holy life and yet when we get to ahab the bible says that he did more evil in the eyes of god than everybody else immediately the question has to be asked what on earth could ahab do that was so wrong that god held him more responsible than anybody else i'm so glad you asked inquiring minds want to know ahab took for himself a wife from a foreign country and this wife was named jezebel and jezebel was a priestess in the temple of baal her father was the priest of baal and therefore she worshipped a false god when he took her as his wife she came to power in israel and she required that everyone worship the way that she worshiped she required that the altars of jehovah god be taken down and altars of baal be erected who was baal baal according to the pagan and idol worship system decided that it was baal that created all things it was baal that gave fertility to the ground that grew your food it was baal that gave you the opportunity to have a successful harvest it was baal that gave you the opportunity to have children therefore because he was the creator god and everything that he did you needed whenever it came time to get up in the morning you thanked baal because he made the sunrise when a cloud came and it poured out rain you thanked baal because he was making it rain whenever the seeds began to grow you appreciated baal because bale was the one that brought the harvest the problem with this is that baal doesn't exist and yet one woman had convinced an entire nation of people let's change gods for generations the nation of israel recognized that it was the lord who had created heaven and earth every prayer in the hebrew culture and in the hebrew language begins with the words to the god who created heaven and earth they knew the truth they just chose not to follow the truth and elijah is telling them listen for centuries your father is your forefathers and those who came before you abraham isaac and jacob moses and joshua all of them knew the truth why are you suddenly abandoning your foundation for some figment of your imagination and if jehovah is god serve him and if baal is god serve him elijah was saying to these people listen you can't have it both ways you can't do what is culturally acceptable in front of jezebel when you kneel at the altar of baal and then you sneak off back to your house and you tell god oh god i'm so sorry i'll never pray to that pagan god again you can't keep a rabbit foot in your pocket and a bible on your mantle and have faith in both you can't take a stand on the promises of god's word with your fingers crossed and this is what elijah was saying to the people of israel you can't have it both ways make up your mind you are either going to serve god or you're going to serve baal and the god that you choose to serve will determine your quality of life you see israel had invited god out of their society and he accommodated them we in these united states have invited god to leave us alone and he's accommodated us we've told him that we don't need him in our educational systems we've told him that he's not welcome in our streets and in our culture we've told him that his confinement is to the sanctuary but do not get out into the neighborhood how is it when you walk away from god and who is the source of life you do not walk into an embracing destruction you cannot walk away from the god who is love and not embrace hate you cannot walk away from the god who is peace and not absorb chaos you cannot walk away from a god who is a provider and walk straight into need so when you've walked away from god how do you solve the problem it's very easy turn back turn back turn back if you've walked away from god who is a provider turn back to the god who said i will provide all of your needs according to my riches in glory turn back to the god who is a covenant keeper turn back to the name that is above every name turn back to the king that is above every king turn back to the one who is the source of joy the one who is the source of peace the one who is the source of healing if you have pain in your life and you've walked away from god turn back to the god who says i am your burden bearer if you're looking for direction turn back to the god who said i will make a way where there seems to be no way stop asking yourself when is god going to do something and turn your life around and go back to the god who has done all things well [Applause] you see elijah brought the entire nation to its knees with one statement whenever the nation decided that it was going to leave god and it was going to follow baal do you know what god did nothing why because he's the lord he does not change he didn't say angels they voted against me we lost no the change of their belief did not change truth they decided to try something new and the god who is the same yesterday today and forever said there's nothing new under the sun they said well let's see what baal can do for us and god said best of luck and now they're on their knees why because elijah the prophet storms into the throne room of ahab and he delivers one short message it's the only message that he speaks for three years what a joy to be a pastor who could share one short message and that would be good for three years but here's what he says he says as the lord lives say that with me as the lord lives before whom i stand it shall not reign nor will it do except at my word and you know what happened next it went bone dry ahab says it's baal that makes it rain one little preacher walks in and says it is not and i'll prove it to you and it's as dry as a powder house but listen to the points of elijah's sermon he said as the lord lives whether you believe it or not our god lives whether you receive it or not he sits upon the throne whether you confess it or not he is the one who holds the mountains in a scale and the hills in the balance your beliefs do not change the truth our god is still great and he is still greatly to be praised his name is still the name that is above every name his mercies are still renewed every morning and from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same he is great and greatly to be to be praised make no mistake about it the inconsistency of our behavior on earth has no bearing on the king above kings and the lord above lords he is god and there is none other elijah said as the lord lives before whom i stand elijah was a man who was willing to take a stand in a nation that was bowing its knees to jezebel's wish god does not need an entire country to turn around in order for revival to come god can do more with one man standing for him than an entire generation ignoring him the bible says very clearly if god is for you who can be against you child of god he is calling you today to take a stand he's calling you to take a stand at your business he's calling you to take a stand with your family he's calling you to take a stand on your campus he's calling you to take a stand with your friends he's calling you to take a stand so that he can demonstrate his power in your life so that he can show others what he can do through someone who is willing to live for him do not let the influences of this world determine your outcome recognize that you have been divinely created in the image of a limitless god and if god is on your side nothing can come against you no one can defeat you no weapon formed will prosper in your life because if god is for you who can be against you the third part of elijah's message it shall not reign except at my word how's that for a weather forecast i just love watching the weather partially cloudy skies with a chance of sun and a mild case of rain moderate winds with gusts up to 746 miles an hour they give all of these general terms and get awarded for being specific but elijah's forecast was so specific that not only did he tell him what was going to happen he told him when and how it was going to change [Music] he said it's not going to rain unless i say so and all of the baal believers went we'll see about that and for three and a half years it didn't rain why because a child of god did not say so don't you ever underestimate the power of the spoken word in your life the bible says that you are the redeemed of the lord who say so jesus christ said to his disciples if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can say to this mountain be thou removed and it shall be carried into the sea i don't know what spiritual mountains you're facing in your life today i don't know how many things you need god to fix in your family today i don't know what needs you need met in your personal business today but what i'm telling you is you have the authority of the name that is above every name and when you speak to that mountain in jesus name through the power of his word it must move in jesus name to a mountain of fear you can declare the lord is my light and my salvation of whom shall i fear the lord is the strength of my life of whom shall i be afraid and that mountain of fear is removed from your life and carried into the midst of the sea if you're facing a mountain of worry you declare he shall keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee no doctor's diagnosis can change the peace of god that surpasses all understanding no forecast can change your future because your life is in the hand of a god who does all things well no situation or circumstance can change how he feels about you for the bible says who can separate us from the love of god not height nor depth nor powers nor principalities nor things present nor things to come because in all of these things we are more than conquerors through christ if you have a mountain of sickness speak to that mountain that by his stripes were healed if you have a mountain of lack speak to that mountain that my god shall supply all of my needs according to his riches and glory he'll make me the head and not the tail above only and not beneath he'll bless me in my going in he'll bless me in my coming out he'll bless me in my kneading basket in my bowl he'll bless my children and he'll bless my children's children because his love has been poured out upon me if it's a mountain of guilt i can say where sin did abound grace did that much more abound if it's a mountain of weakness i can say he is the glory and he is the lifter of my head if it is a mountain of my future i can say he is preparing a table before me in the presence of my enemies child of god no matter what you need today you can speak it in jesus name and he will do it [Applause] he said the lord lives and bails a fraud he said it's not going to rain unless i say so and for three and a half years every farm every family every town every person suffered except elijah now three and a half years later he says how do you like baal you've changed your policies you've changed your government you've changed your direction how do you like what bail has produced for you how much grain did you get last year oh you're hungry how many sicknesses did baal heal last three and a half years oh your relatives are dead how much money did you make when you took your crops to town oh you're bankrupt how hard would this conversation be if god is god serve him if baal is god serve him but he answered them not a word why because jezebel's sitting right over there we agree with you but we're afraid of her and there's nothing new under the sun how many individuals in this nation do not agree with the direction that things are going in this country but they're afraid to say something we agree with you preacher but we want to be woke [Applause] believe me i want you to wake up too i want you to wake up and tell the world what you believe in that you believe that there is a god in heaven who loved you so much that he sent his only begotten son to set you free that you believe that that son came from heaven to earth and that he lived a perfect life and that he died a substitutionary death so that every charge against you would be canceled by the blood that he shed on your behalf that you believe that he went into a grave that was borrowed and he rose from that grave and he is now seated at the right hand of god the father and that at the name of jesus every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that he is lord to the glory of god the father wake up church and recognize that the god that we serve is alive and filled with power and there is no force in heaven above the earth nor the world beneath it can knock him off his throne it would be easy for the people in israel to say look it's not our fault it's the government but that's not who elijah's talking to elijah didn't reach out to ahab and jezebel and say we need to come to some terms he spoke to the people why because the people are the ones who decide what the government does you have to recognize that in our world we love to blame the politicians but the politicians come from within the people if there's a problem in the government then there's a problem in the church and if there's a problem in the church there's a problem with the people who are in the church be a good time to look at somebody say he's talking about you not me the generation of israel could have looked and said it's not our fault it's ahab and jezebel but elijah said no it is your fault because you're letting them decide for you if god is god you serve him if baal is god you serve him you're on your knees you're begging for rain you're begging for a harvest you're begging for produce you're begging for production and you're not getting it why because baal is a lie and god is the truth you see it's not a matter of if you bow it's a matter of when you bow and to whom you bow philippians the second chapter the 10th and the 11th verse it tells us very clearly that at the name of jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to the glory of god the father you will either make the decision to bow in this life or you'll bow before his throne in judgment but you're not going to opt out of the opportunity this is why we as a people in this generation must recognize that we are in a day of decision just as israel was if god is god serve him if baal is god serve him oh but pastor they've decided to take one nation out of god from our pledge that doesn't change the fact he's still god oh pastor but they've outlawed prayer in school they didn't outlaw prayer in your living room oh but it's politically correct incorrect and it's culturally insensitive and it's socially inappropriate and it's intellectually closed-minded if you use words like jesus's lord or salvation through the blood or the power of the cross and what i would propose to you today is what elijah said in his generation how long will you falter between two opinions if god is god serve him only the bible says no man can have two masters you cannot serve the god of heaven and the gods of this world jesus said the friend of the world is the enemy of christ you're either for me or you're against me you either walk in the light or you live in darkness you're either born in truth or you're bound to a lie and jesus said you'll know the truth and the truth shall do what it'll do what church let me tell you congress will not set you free only jesus christ will set you free some candidate with his promises will not set you free but the power of the living god will set you free wall street will not set you free from financial bondage but the god of heaven who said i am your provider i am jehovah jireh he will set you free no motivational message can speak enough into your life to set you free from the pain of your past but the god who breaks every chain who moves every mountain who bears every yoke who destroys every burden he can set you free he and he alone is your burden bearer he and he alone is your source of hope he and he alone is the strength of your life let god arise and let his enemies be scattered three and a half years with no rain and they still didn't know what to say so elijah gives them some terms he says let's have a contest all you false prophets of baal you build an altar and i'll build an altar and we'll put a sacrifice on the altar and the god who answers say that with me the god who answers you have to realize something our god answers he said the god who answers with fire that will determine who is god and then elijah being a true gentleman he said you guys go first and so the bible says that these 450 false prophets they built their altar they made their sacrifice they began the process of incantations and dancing and singing and shouting and doing all of the things that they needed to do according to their faith to get baal to provide the answer problem is he didn't he's put on display and has nothing to say and elijah is probably the first trash talker in biblical history because when he recognizes that these guys are not getting much done he starts to encourage them he says hey sing louder maybe he didn't hear you he says dance harder maybe he can't see you at one point he says maybe he's meditating and distracted and in this we recognize these things there are times in life when people say you're foolish for your faith but you have to realize that faith will never make you look foolish faith may cause people to ask what are you doing but when god answers you're not gonna look like a fool what are you doing when you lay hands on the sick and you pray in jesus name i'm doing what my faith has told me to do because the bible says that when you do this they shall recover what are you doing when you give money in the offering i'm doing what my faith has said to do give and you shall receive so and you shall reap press down shaken together and running over i don't look foolish when god my provider opens up the windows of heaven and pours out upon me blessings that i cannot contain some educated tax attorney might not understand it but if the god of heaven has promised it that sign seals and delivers it [Applause] now if your behavior is not in faith you're a fool because the bible has said the fool has said in his heart there is no god these 450 false prophets look foolish why because they have faith in a god that doesn't exist have you ever met people who want to make certain correlations in their life and you start to kind of question their sanity every time i wash my car it what oh if i wear red the home team wins superstition is always a foolish thing to put your faith in why because it is based upon your feelings not based upon facts and here these 450 superstitious prophets are dancing and screaming and cutting themselves and they're exhausted they literally can do no more and the bible says that elijah begins the process of building his altar the first thing that elijah does is he picks 12 stones why because there were 12 tribes in israel and what elijah knew was that in order for israel as a nation to be restored unity had to be put back in order the bible says in psalms 133 behold how good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity why because there the lord commands the blessing in our generation we are a nation on our knees asking for relief from heaven above but what you have to understand is that until we the people of god get united in his word in his promises and in his truth we're not going to see the answer we want from heaven above elijah rebuilds the altar and he uses 12 stones why because the altar had been destroyed the altar was destroyed because of neglect how many altars in our lives have been destroyed because of neglect the bible says that the lord is the same yesterday today and forever that means that the things that mattered to god centuries ago still matter to him today where is the altar of personal evangelism in your life where is the altar of intercessory prayer where is the altar of bible study where is the altar of a hunger and thirst for righteousness for jesus said those who hunger and thirst after righteousness they shall be filled i believe it's time for us to rebuild the altars of our faith in the unity of the faith because the bible is very clear there the lord commanded the blessing i want god to command a blessing in your family i want god to command a blessing in your business i want god to command a blessing upon your children i want god to command a blessing upon everything you put your hand to but it will not come until we walk together in unity the second thing that elijah did is that he prepared a sacrifice it was a sacrifice that was used for the repentance of sin the bible says that elijah took the bull and he cut it and he quartered it and he laid it on the altar why because without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin it was a type and shadow of jesus christ who was the precious lamb of god the sacrifice for sinner's slain first peter 3 and 18 it says that christ suffered once and for all the just for the unjust that he might bring us to god elijah was trying to bring his nation back to god if we are going to bring this nation back to god we are going to have to do it through the sacrifice of jesus christ him and him alone you're not going to see this nation restored under a political party you're not going to see this nation restored under some man's plan you will only see restoration as it comes through the shed blood of jesus christ because he and he alone is the foundation of our faith and it is his name and his name alone that we have victory in the final thing that elijah did he said bring me 12 barrels of water why because as he built the altar and as he prepared the sacrifice he recognized that if you are going to receive you have to give for three and a half years it had not rained this nation was in desperate need of rain and while elijah was asking god to answer by fire what he knew these people needed was a thunderstorm from heaven above to saturate and heal their land so he brought 12 barrels of water in order to receive from heaven you have to give what you want to receive can you imagine people living through drought for three and a half years watching this preacher pour water 12 barrels full do it again do it again do it again do it again do it again saturated it and then he hit his knees you see the difference is not in the position of the person one group of people is in position on their knees begging bail another man is in a position on his knees asking god he said oh lord god of abraham isaac and israel the unified nation the covenant people the one that you promised to never forsake you've seen all that i've done and now i am asking you to answer me today that these people might believe that you are god there were a bunch of people that watched him pour out 12 barrels of water and said you fool you've wasted it but i assure you when the cloven tongues of fire came through the clouds of heaven down to earth and the bible says it not only consumed the sacrifice but it licked up the stones they went whoa elijah's got a source of power we know not of why because faith will never make you look foolish our god answers prayer say that with me our god answers prayers so the question is this to whom do you want to be on your knees do you want to be on your knees before the gods of this world asking for them to accept you do you want to be on your knees before the gods of this culture asking them to like you and endorse you do you want to be on your knees before the powers of this atmosphere telling you what you should say what you should do how you should think and where you should live or do you want to be on your knees before the god who created heaven and earth who sits upon the throne who has counted the stars and calls them by name if you're on your knees before that god then you have power and authority in jesus name if you're on your knees before that god you have authority over sickness and disease if you're on your knees before that god you have authority over poverty and lack if you're on your knees before that god you have authority over powers and principalities of darkness child of god it is time that we became the people that are called by his name for he said if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray then he'll hear from heaven and he'll heal our land god do it again god do it here god do it now god do it in your power god do it in your grace god do it for your name's sake god do it because you are the one who sits upon the throne and every word that you have promised is true and every need that we have you can meet and every mountain that we face you can move and every giant that we fight you can defeat therefore in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name do it again and do it now in jesus name give the lord a handclap of praise would you stand to your feet [Applause] ushers i'll ask you to take your positions as this is the sunday we celebrate the holy communion and as the ushers come that we might receive the communion i believe that there are places in your life that you need to rebuild there's altars of prayer that you haven't knelt at in a while there's pages in scripture that you haven't read in a while there's words of reconciliation that are long overdue and need to be spoken in others lives so that you can heal and you can walk in unity and you can walk in love so before we receive this communion i want everyone in this prayer in this sanctuary and those of you who are watching to repeat this prayer with me because the bible says that we do not receive this communion unworthily it means that we have to confess and we have to repent that the healing power of what we're about to do can be a part of our life faith will never make you look foolish and we're going to receive this communion in faith today but before we do i want you to have the opportunity to rebuild the broken places in your life in jesus name repeat this prayer with me lord jesus christ today i come before you and i humble myself to ask your forgiveness for neglecting the areas in my life where i need your power i need your strength i need your might lord apart from you i can do nothing and so i'm asking in jesus name that you help me rebuild the broken places you restore what we have tried to destroy and let my faith come alive in me so that i can declare to this world who you are and what you've done in jesus name amen brothers would you wait upon the congregation as we receive this morning's communion sing oh the blood of jesus oh the blood of [Music] the jesus of jesus he washes [Music] white [Music] in the there is healing in the blood of jesus [Music] [Music] is [Music] there is [Applause] [Music] is [Music] [Applause] jesus [Music] it washes white it washes [Music] matthew's gospel records that as they were eating jesus took the bread and he blessed it and he broke it and he gave it to the disciples and he said take and eat for this is my body can we take the symbol of the lord's broken body [Music] and then he took the cup and he gave thanks for it and he gave it to them saying drink from it all of you can we take the symbol of the lord's shed blood he said for this is my blood of the new covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins but i say to you i will not drink forth of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when i drink it new with you in my father's kingdom church soon and very soon we're going to receive a communion that jesus foretold right here in this verse it'll be at the marriage supper of the lamb and we the bride of christ will be sitting around the tables in heavenly places and jesus christ our redeemer our bridegroom and our conquering king he will hold up the cup of messiah and in his father's kingdom will we exalt the mighty name that is above every name and of his kingdom there shall be no end give the lord a handclap of praise would you raise your hand for the blessing and father bless them and keep them and make your face shine upon them be gracious unto them and give them peace peace to know that because the blood of jesus christ has paid the price we have been redeemed and our sons and daughters of the most high god give them the confidence to walk in faith declaring that if god is for them nothing can stand against them and let that bold proclamation echo through this generation until this nation is one nation under god again these things we ask in jesus name and we
