The Power of the Prophetic Blessing Webinar with Pastor Hagee and Pastor Matt Hagee

hello and welcome to this special haggy ministries broadcast today pastor hagee and i are talking to you about the desire that god in heaven has to bless you you know you've heard pastor teach about the power of the father's blessing you've read the contents of his book the power of the prophetic blessing and oftentimes people want to immediately disqualify themselves from the idea that they were born to be blessed sometimes it's based on the challenges that they have in the relationships with their earthly father sometimes it's just based on the concept that they're not worthy of the goodness and the favor of god in their life but what i want you to understand and be encouraged to believe today is that god is our father he is mine he is yours he is the maker of us all this is what jesus taught when he taught his disciples to pray he began with the words our father he didn't say my father he said our father and god our father in heaven is the author of the blessing you can receive blessings from a multitude of people on this earth but when you receive a blessing from god it carries weight and value this is what james chapter 1 17 said when we read the words every good gift and every perfect gift is from above it comes down from the father of lights with whom there is no shadow or variation of turning this verse establishes these things again one god is our father he's your father he's my father two god wants to bless you and three and probably the most important god doesn't change dad whenever we read that god wants to bless us where is the first place in scripture that we see the blessing the first place that we see the blessing in the word of god is in the gates of genesis the message of the blessing begins at genesis and does not stop until the book of revelation when god created adam and eve the bible says and he blessed them and said be fruitful and to replenish the earth they took that blessing then when he wanted to start a nation he blessed abraham in genesis 3 genesis 12. and in genesis 12 there is a covenant blessing that i'll come back to after a while but that covenant blessing to abraham i will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you has shaped the history of nations from that moment until this moment but keeping the blessing for the time being within the family whenever abraham blessed his sons he blessed jacob and jacob on the day of his death called his twelve sons together and he blessed them one at a time and he spoke a fur a verbal blessing over them and that verbal blessing that he made to each of those sons on the day of his death controlled the history of israel for the next thousand years that's the power of the blessing whenever jesus began his ministry he began with the blessing blessed are the poor in spirit blessed are blessed are blessed are every new testament book that saint paul wrote he begins with a blessing and john the revelator begins the book of revelation with the blessing blessed is he who reads this book so the the blessing of god the father begins at the gates of the garden of eden and does not stop until the very end of time you were born to be blessed god wants to bless you he wants to bless your children but let's come back now to genesis 12 because genesis 12 has a blessing that is so awesome in power that has it has really shaped world history god said to abraham i'm going to bless you and those who bless you will be blessed and those who curse you will be cursed that has been true of the jewish nation from genesis 12 until today the nations that have blessed the jewish people have prospered take the very first one egypt the pharaoh that knew joseph and blessed joseph became the wealthiest man in the world why because joseph predicted there was going to be a famine of seven years of lack and so for seven years they saved grain and when they were the only ones who had food when they when the depression came they used that food to buy lands and real estate that made pharaoh the richest man on the earth and egypt the greatest the greatest nation on the face of the earth and god blessed that relationship and then there arose a pharaoh that knew not joseph and he cursed the jewish people and god destroyed egypt because of that go forward where is babylon it's gone where are the where's the medo-persian empire it's gone all of these empires ruled over the jewish people where's the roman empire that crucified the son of god it's gone where where is uh the nazi organization that followed adolf hitler it has been it was totally annihilated and destroyed the blessing that god gave to the nations that blessed israel why do you think the blessing of god is on america the blessing of god is on america is because we have blessed the jewish people from the day that we began as a nation george washington honored the jewish people your dollar bill has an insignia of honor to the jewish people the jewish people have given to this country the blessing of god and let me say this to you the day america removes its blessing from the jewish people and israel will be the day god takes its blessing away from us please hear and understand that when you bless the jewish people god will bless you personally personally and when a person or nation attacks the jewish people the judgment of god will come upon them matt years ago when i taught the power of the blessing to our church on the last sunday of the sermon series i had all of the family sit together and i had the fathers to at the end of the sermon and i gave this teaching to bless their children just like jacob in the sequence of their birth and it was an experiment that really changed the spiritual dimension of our church in just a few minutes i heard the sound of sobbing grown men were crying as their fathers put their hands on them and i thought why is this happening and the thought came to me these sons these children for the first time in their life for hearing their father say something good about them to god almighty and they were grown men and they were grown men they were 35 and 40 years of age and the fathers went down the road and by the time all of those blessings had been given there was there was a spiritual electricity in that building that was awesome and unforgettable i remember that day like it happened yesterday when you release the power of god to protect your children the power of god to guide your children the power of god to send his angels before your children to be their rear guard the power of god to bring to them blessing as they go to school to protect them while they're at the school the power of god to bless you and your ministry god wants to bless you god wants to bless you he is your heavenly father he created the universe and everything that's in it specifically so he could bless you i challenge every father that's listening to this you need to read that book if you haven't the power of the blessing and establish in your mind exactly what it is you want for god to do in the lives of your children and when you father as the spiritual authority of your family put your hands on the head of your child and speak that blessing into existence it will change their lives for the rest of their lives if you are a single mom you can impart that blessing amen you can impart that blessing because you are the spiritual leader in that family and i pray that every person who's listening to this will take it to heart and do it because the blessing can change the lives of your family of your children for the rest of your life now you mentioned single mothers and i read something in the bible the other day that he's a father to the fatherless which to me means that for every single mother they are partnering in their parenting with god almighty right they're parenting with his grace their parenting with his help their parenting with his power in their life so the power of the blessing is not limited to paternity it's god's gift to a parent to bless their child you were speaking about the power of the blessing and how jacob blessed his sons and the reality of what he said over them became the destiny of their family tree you spoke about genesis 12 and chapter 3 and how world history has literally been shaped by the power of that blessing not just from that moment in time god said to abraham i'm going to bless you but he was also speaking about the descendants of abraham that became the nation of israel that exist in the world today and it reminded me of something you said this past sunday uh when you mentioned the fact that your prayers will never cease that's right we don't win when you pray your prayer never dies yes and i've obviously sat under your leadership in ministry for 43 years now and that may have been the first time that i've heard you say that and it began to resonate with me about how effective our prayers are when we turn them loose right but it also brings up this point if blessings are that effective how effective are the curses there's another side to that coin and it's up to us to decide which side we're on for example genesis chapter 1 and 28 god said to adam and eve be fruitful and multiply this was the first marriage and i think it's an important thing to mention that the first marriage was a god-ordained marriage between a man and a woman right he didn't ask them what their preferential pronouns were he created them male and female and put them together right so there's a blessing on a marriage god wants to bless every marriage from everyone who's watching there's a blessing on children he said be fruitful and multiply the purpose of a union between a man and a woman is to have children then he blessed mankind he said subdue the earth he gave adam a job your job is to take authority over what's happening down here and then he blessed creation because he said to adam you're going to be a steward over all that i have created so he didn't abandon what he created he put everything in its proper order and order is a form of blessing god is not the author of confusion the question is what prevents that blessing from being a reality in the lives of men today why aren't our marriages blessed why aren't our children blessed why are we seeing such environmental chaos in the world today where we are literally driving decisions down the throats of the american public based on what we think the environment needs not based on what mankind needs what has created this disorder the thing that has dis that created this disorder in america is the is the absentee father the ephesians 6 4 you fathers provoke not your children but teach them the word he but but trained them in the way of the lord and the word train them is the greek word gemnaught from which we get gymnasium it means you as their teacher train and teach them in the way of the lord the fact is that in the american family 70 of children do not live with their birth father there are multiplied millions of single moms who are struggling and scrambling trying to make a living for the children that she had but the husband who is gone the curse of the american family is the absentee father and there then are fathers who are absentee you are there physically but you are not there emotionally and you're not there spiritually you are not the spiritual leader of your house the television is you need to turn the television off as soon as this telecast is over and learn the spiritual power of blessing your children because you father are responsible to god for the way that you train your children the va the ephesians said you fathers train your children not your mother not the boy scout leader not the preacher at the church but you have the responsibility of training your child in the way of the lord why did god choose abraham to be the leader of the jewish people that would give us the bible the prophets the patriarchs jesus and jesus christ why did he pick abraham the bible says it in one verse i chose him because i know he will teach his children in the way of the lord and that's true of the jewish people to this day they teach their children from the word of god the principles of righteousness you father watching this telecast and if your husband is not watching it i want you to get this telecast and play it back for him understand that it is his responsibility to take the leadership it's his responsibility to teach them the word of god it's his responsibility to put their hands his hands on their heads and pray a prayer of blessing may the lord bless you and may the lord keep you and may the lord make his face to shine upon you may the lord be gracious unto you and give you his peace and then father you speak a prophetic blessing the prophetic blessing is what you want to happen in the life of that child may the may the angels of the lord go before you to protect you and behind you to be your rear guard may the lord give you favor as you go into your school activities may the lord prosper you in all things may the lord bring to you health and peace and love and joy may the lord give to you and your children and your children's children the knowledge of the lord those are the things that you father have the ability to speak into existence and long after you are dead your prayers and the lives of your children will live on your prayers never die not ever you know i know that there are many parents who are watching and many people who are hearing some information for the very first time and immediately you want to believe that maybe you're not the right person maybe you don't have the ability to communicate the blessing that pastor hagee just spoke so beautifully as he addressed the viewers today i want you to know that we have a resource the power of the prophetic blessing and it's a book that pastor has written breaking down every line every letter and every word of the blessing that you just heard that's recorded in the bible in the book of numbers i'll tell you this it has had a great impact on my life and many of you who have watched this ministry for a number of your family forever dad one of the things that we were talking about is a powerful praying parent and you know i mentioned at the beginning of our conversation that god is our father but you in your childhood you experienced a powerful praying parent you told me often how you know every week i believe it was either friday or saturday night your your mother tonight your mother would line up every child that was in the house and she would start at the top and go all the way to the bottom and she would pray a prayer of blessing that sometimes sounded a little heavy and weighty but at the same time you knew that you were underneath the prayer protection of a mother that's exactly right every saturday night my mother would line us up and she would start with my older brother bill and she would pray a prayer of blessing and then she would pray for me and then she'd pray for my siblings and her prayers were strong my mother had a prayer relationship with god that was awesome when my brother became sick with epilepsy she fasted and prayed for three years and for god to heal my brother and god did heal my brother i have seen the power of her prayers shape the destiny of my father's ministry i will say this now that both of them are in heaven my father did well in the ministry because of my mother she was the general administrator of the church but i assure you she was the one who had the spiritual energy of that church constantly moving forward uh in the in the dimension of of praying and finding god's will for the life of your children when i was in high school my father and i were in a state of war my father was a pentecostal legalist legalism by the way is keeping man-made rules to obtain righteousness with god it's religious poison yeah they're they have nothing to do with the word of god they have to do with silly things that men create for other people to do and other to in in order to be called righteous or holy that's a whole subject in itself but let me say this father if you are insisting your children do something that you came from a legalistic background why don't you give them a chance to enjoy life and shoot every one of those legalistic ideas dead in the head and get over it because it has nothing to do with the word of god i was at such a state of war the the conflict was sports i was a four sport letterman my father didn't want me to participate in any sport he saw it as being worldly whatever that was and he didn't speak to me not for weeks on end he did everything he could for years to humiliate me into submission to fall under that legalistic canopy that he had i simply did not do it i do want to say that my dad retired from the ministry at the age of 60 in perfect health totally exhausted for trying to keep those silly ridiculous rules he just couldn't keep them anymore uh so i'm saying to every father who is here you pray for your children you bless your children you bring to your children a dimension of the grace of god your children don't want to be like the preacher your children don't want to be like their teachers at school your children want to be like you don't sit around the fireplace when all of your brothers get home for thanksgiving and tell every ungodly thing you ever did and laugh about it your children are over in the corner listening to you they want to repeat what you did if you were bad they want to be twice as bad so you speak of the blessings of god speak of the goodness of god speak of god's power to prosper you of god's power to protect you because i assure you i was saved because of the prayer life of my mother and my mother made she got a group of women together who prayed every tuesday morning at church for my last my senior year in high school saying if john is not saved before he leaves our home he will never come to christ because he is so angry with the church and brother she was spot on but the prayers of my mother were the thing that made it possible for the third week in the month of january 1958. sitting in the back of the church waiting for the evangelist to shut up so i could go home there was an instantaneous desire to know christ and i walked forward knelt at the altar and prayed a very simple prayer of submission to the will of god i got up and left i finally i discovered i was the only one in the altar and the whole church was standing up aghast at what was going to happen and i walked out of the church and between walking out of the church and getting home which was five blocks i knew that i was not going to go to west point military academy and i had an appointment from senator senator linda baines johnson to go but i was going to go to the seminary and prepare for ministry and 10 days later i checked out of reagan high school in houston and finished my last half year in high school at the high school there and immediately enrolled in the seminary and the rest has become history but the power of my mother's prayer not my father not the preaching of my father not the preaching of hundreds of evangelists who walked across the platform of my father's church but my mother's prayer and her blessings those blessings had awesome power and you have the power mother to put your hands on your children and pray a prayer of blessing that will structure their life for the rest of their life do it you know a parent's prayer is one thing a child cannot silence that's true there was a number of things that your mother had to say to you in your in your teenage years that you could ignore but the one thing that you did not have the power or the authority to ignore or interrupt was her conversations with god sure and i think that there's a very appropriate verse to pull into this conversation because a lot of people ask the question how do we change america how do we mend 70 where the father's not in the home how do we fix the problems that are in the family and just a few weeks ago you shared america's answer and that is first chronicles or second chronicles chapter 7 verse 14. if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray i god will hear from heaven and heal their land and many people wouldn't consider the prayers of veda hagee for her teenage son to be a national prayer but it impacted a nation it did because your life changed in a day instead of going to the united states military you went into the army of the living god and for now six decades plus you have taken your life in submission to god's will and impacted not just this nation but the nations of the world the partners and individuals who have supported this ministry have literally touched the globe because of the prayers of a mother that influenced a generation and the point that i think is important to make is that don't underestimate the power of your prayer right you might feel like it's just a little moment in which you engaged with heaven above but you have no idea what changes god is going to create based on what you asked in faith believing if you want to change this nation pray for the nation the bible says pray for leaders and all those who are in authority but more importantly pray for your children because your children are going to be the leaders of the next generation and if they go into that next generation with the favor of god upon them they have an opportunity to change the world around them and that can change things forever you know dad the bible does say and the bible does teach that prayer changes things absolutely whenever you look in the word of god and you see the effective fervent prayer of the righteous from the old testament to the new testament it changes things absolutely how have you seen prayer change things from the from the moment that i went into the ministry i was given the opportunity uh after about four months to hold a revival in dallas texas uh i didn't know the first principle of homiletics or hermeneutics or the the science of structuring screening you've never been in a pulpit right you'd seen it but you've never done it and i i went to this church by the invitation of the pastor to speak to their young people it was called christ ambassadors and there were about 50 people there and i spoke and when i sat down the pastor said i want you to give that tonight to the congregation i said uh i called him by name i said um pastor i said look i haven't been saved but about three or four months here and uh i i don't know that i really am qualified to do that he said he looked me up right in the face he said you were born to preach and it took me back and he said and you're going to start tonight you get in that pulpit and you read that text now was he not prepared or was he holy spirit ordained no he he was a prepared guy he had a good church okay it was for for the pentecostals it was a large church and on sunday nights they went to church and so i walked out and said on the platform and i was no stranger to the platform because i'd been singing in church since i was 12 years old and i sat there and i opened my bible and i found a text and he introduced me i stood up and i read that text and as the lord lives when i started talking one thought after another came into my brain and i i felt like i was over here listening to someone that was behind the pulpit wondering where'd that come from where in heaven's name did that come from at the end of 30 minutes i made an altar call and 30 people came forward to be saved now those were church people and you were preaching to the choir and the choir gave it back yeah and literally heaven came down that night i mean it was it was a powerful moment i was so relieved when it was over and here's what happened the pastor walked behind the pulpit and he said how many of you folks would like to start a revival with brother john tomorrow night and i was i was about to pass out and they all raised their hands he said get on the phone and phone all of your friends tomorrow night the revival is on i went home and called my mother and i said i am in trouble she said what so what happened she was familiar with that phrase she just didn't know what it was she said what have you done now you've only been up there for a few weeks i said uh and i told her i said i need your help now my mother uh went to seminary she taught homiletics and hermeneutics uh she said well she forgot more about preaching than most preachers know absolutely so she said look go to bed uh because it's late get up in the morning and ask the lord to give you a verse then you call me on the phone and i'll tell you how to present that verse so i did exactly that and for the first two or three mornings we did that and i would i was had a job at the uh furniture manufacturing company that was on the church property so at 8 to 12 i was going to school 12 to 1 eating lunch 1 to 4 i was working i'd come and change my clothes get in the car with my roommate and go to dallas and i would have about 40 45 minutes before the service began and i would go over those notes that uh i would call my mother in the morning and she would go over that and kind of outline and said here are the four five points you can make and i mean i just had them written on a piece of paper about that long and [Music] every night as i got up to preach out of my mouth came things that never went through my brain personally and i realized that i was simply in the hand of god being sculptured for something that was greater than myself at the end of the first week he said we're going a second week the church was full every night and the second week was stronger but at the end of the second week i called him by name and i said if an angel from heaven writes it in the sky to go another week with john hagee as the evangelist you tell the angel to get lost i'm so tired i came off the wall i've preached the best ten sermons i've ever preached and it's the only ten sermons the only ten servants i've ever preached and he he left and he said all right he said but this is real i said it is but i really need to stop i need to rest yeah i need to rest and so i did and uh he gave me enough money to pay for the rest of my schooling for that year and suddenly you decided that you might have a a calling to ministry it dawned on me at the end of those two weeks that the ministry was not going to be about my intellect or personal skill it was going to rest entirely on the anointing of god and if i walked in that pulpit with god's anointing all of my preparation was good but the essence of the anointing over that preparation was the difference between a supernatural response and just having church and it's something i've never forgotten i never go to the pulpit without saying holy spirit of god if you are not with me this is an exercise in futility anoint me today heaven comes down you open the book and the fireworks begins and again you recognized the power of prayer as a young preacher who was being used of god but could not do what god wanted you to do unless you had prayed that's it and in that moment the prayers of your mother were shaping the destiny of your life with or without your permission you found yourself in the middle of a 10-day revival that you did not create you did not cause it it took you there exactly right and the reason that i say that you know many of you are watching and you're saying well these are you know stories that that belong to people like pastor hagie who's been in the ministry 62 years no these are stories that belong to people who are willing to pray who are willing to believe in faith that god hears prayers i want to share with you in just a few moments the prayer of blessing that pastor prays over every program over every service over every parishioner over every member and partner of this church and the power of that but i also want you to know that you can do this you can impact the lives of your children for generations to come if you are willing to practice the power of the prophetic blessing and the prophetic blessing again is something that pastor teaches in this book the power of the prophetic blessing in which he covers not only the concepts of the fact that you were born to be blessed but also the fact that you have the power of god's word to impact the lives of your children for generations to come dad you began years ago concluding our services by asking people to raise their hand for the blessing and then you would say to them may the lord bless you may the lord keep you may he make his face to shine upon you may he be gracious unto you and give you his peace that's numbers chapter 6 22 verses 27 and the power of those words are created because they are not given by man they were given to god for man that's right what is it about those words that change destinies the thing that changes the destiny is the awesome authority of god that you submit yourself to when you pray that prayer the way that that i started this blessing uh certainly that was a a huge change from the normal thing that i had seen done in a church when my father was the pastor you just dismiss and go home and i was preaching on the power of the blessing and just as an experiment i said to the congregation today i want to bless you when i was preaching this sermon series years ago and i said i want you to lift your hand and receive this blessing and i spoke that blessing and there was a supernatural power you could feel it that's the holy spirit filled that church and everyone was fully aware that something supernatural had happened that week my phone rang off the hook please do that prayer again please do that prayer again had several men call me saying god provided for me this week something that i've been trying to do for years and the prayer of that blessing was the thing that made it happen they didn't say the sermon you preached they said the prayer of that blessing that you gave please give it again i did it the next sunday the same thing happened i said i will keep doing it and 30 years later i'm still doing it because it is a it releases a supernatural force of god to bless people because it's god's desire to bless people exceedingly abundantly above everything they can ask or imagine you know in the book of numbers chapter 6 god tells moses you give this blessing to aaron and you tell aaron to give it to the children of israel and then he finishes the verses in which he gives may the lord bless you may the lord keep you may he make his face to shine upon you may he be gracious unto you and give you his peace but he ends all of that by saying and so shall i put my name on them yes now that one statement right there to me changes everything because there are a lot of powerful names that you can go through this world with and it will get you a lot of access to some places but there isn't one name that gets you access to all places that's exactly right unless it is the name that is above every name there are seven names of god in the bible and what that verse was saying that all of the names of god i am jehovah rafi i am jehovah nissi i am jehovah shama the god who's always there he is the god of all power he's the god of all knowledge and when you release that supernatural power in the name that's above every name it is a name let me say this to you when you pray don't ever start your prayer saying dear god because there are many gods satan is the god of this world allah is the god of the islamic people people who are naturalist nature is their god socialists have the government as their god when you pray say heavenly father god of abraham isaac and jacob but you identify the god you're talking to because the god you're trying to reach is in the third heaven god our father which art in heaven that's the way the lord's prayer starts and that identifies which god you're talking to never say dear god do x y z you that prayer will not clear the roof when you say our father which art in heaven or god our father god god of abraham isaac and jacob now you are talking to the creator of heaven and earth and then lay your petition before him and god will supernatural bless you the power of your tongue is awesome power the bible says the power of life and death are in your tongue and when you say that blessing you are releasing the supernatural force of life the supernatural power of heaven in your behalf or the behalf of your children i assure you you need to you need to release that blessing on your life today that blessing from numbers chapter six is something that has an impact for each and every one of us and i want you to understand more about each and every word that god gave to the children of israel as to how they should and why they should bless that understanding pastor has recorded in this book the power of the prophetic blessing and i want you to have
