everybody welcome back so today I thought I would go to the mall so I wanted to find some new clothes that represent me let's see what we find now I'm looking for why that was wrong with it don't go enough stuff about depression on it Jesus looks like this isn't the place say God try find something else well I'm very disappointed that I couldn't find any cool new hip Mental Illness clothing when I went out shopping earlier but luckily my favorite influencer Kareena caught as really some say I could buy that online just like anxiety on it just to remind me I do in fact have this mental illness I'm glad don't really want to forget about that one all right I'm Alex and welcome back to another video I hope you guys are doing well and if you're suffering from a mental illness put in the comment section below because I want to turn it into an aspartate can make money off it yeah I know it's a strong start to this one I love the achievers but today guys I've got something cool they want it to show you a new game show of spin the wheel what's a YouTube is going to profit off today oh let's give it a spin it's gonna be mental only is it gonna be some tragedy are we gonna hash tag it and put an ad on it it's been two whole days yeah nd yes over the moon with that one which one are we gonna pick well there's a plethora of them let's pick one of the ones that really relaxed my audience so that I can profit off it that's a bit more so if you haven't seen the genius idea which a recent YouTube influencer came out with recently Kareena from the vlog squad decided that she would drop some new merch and she posted it with the big capital's new drop and you've got her modelling the pictures actually on a Twitter account as you can see big grin with our anxiety t-shirt on I mean if you turn the hoodie around you could see the definition for anxiety just in case she forgotten what it was especially if you've got it really don't want to accidentally forget why I'm suffering I love the big smile she's going on big rent no new mates drop its clothing it's you know it's it's merchandise number one how uninteresting do you have to be to turn this into a form of merchandise you know you've got nothing else apparently to sell to people so you decided to try and sell them there are mental illnesses number two I think the more insulting thing apart from the fact that something that I suffer with has been put on a shirt to be sold and make money off it's the fact that it's important a shirt to be sold I make money off and it's really really lazy you know you've put no effort into that you've literally just taken a Google definition of a word the teenagers can relate to and they attempt to sell it back to them Corie guys you know I'm being a bit mean so far I've been not very nice and I don't want to be not very nice because quite clearly this is a sensitive subject we talk about mental health and mental health is not something I want to mess with too much you know I understand the people who suffer with it I've suffered anxiety funnily enough that's the one that I unfortunately got played with didn't put on a shirt yet way luckily 15 percent of it is going to charity not a hundred roads no no we're not generous 15 percent weird only 15 and that tweet wasn't included in the original she posted that afterwards you know more importantly who's wrong and also 15 percent charity just in case you do want to get angry at the fact that I have lazy mental health merch no I'm pretty upset about this one to be fair mainly because of the fact that she's quite clearly not really tried very hard so I decided that I would one-up coroner we're gonna do an entire clothing line is my new one guys hope you guys like it it's the definition for cancer so if anybody you know he's been affected by that send him one of these hi hon hey jebby you know know anybody he's got that maybe be I'll date some of its charity not all of it because fan joy and me I'll make some money off it say keep buying it way I think what we could really take away from this is the fact that obviously you shouldn't spend any time with Logan Paul because if you get caught seeing him and you have a basic disregard for people's mental health they avoid him I think one of the reasons that this for me irritated me when I personally saw it it's not just the fact that she's quite clearly not even tried and she's just stuck on something there that she knows relates to teenagers it's the fact that she had somebody take pictures and help her model this and then it went up on fan joy and nobody a fan joy told him this was probably not a good idea and then you know they decided they just like stick in a charity just just an attempt to make everything okay you know like all right some of it goes to charity not all of it because we're not that generous people we still want to make money off our really hard work it's like nobody in Los Angeles vets anybody for anything like they all just run around like headless chickens going do whatever you want none of us actually fucking dare what is it with LA youtubers sort of blatant disregard to human beings I don't know what it eats I really don't because quite clearly she should know that she's got a teenage audience and that people gonna see this I think the worrying thing is is that there are a few comments of people who were celebrating this and how relatable it was is if this is some quirky relatable trend and it isn't this is mental illness people suffer with something that I had to get therapy for we sort of that I would get panic attacks oh I can't stop worrying about stuff and I can eat food for months on end and now it's a trend well I'm glad I'm cold guys I'm glad I go I went free it's really cool I'm glad that people really enjoy it now you know I get oh I should have wore like a like a proud badge maybe put it on shirts you shouldn't try and tell something this into a badge of honor it's not a badge of honor it's not cool and luckily a lot of people and crona's audiences did look it and go you're profiting off of something but you probably should be trying to actually help am I an idiot is that what you take me for you take your audience for idiots are they stupid I feel like you must think they are if you were to try and stick something like this on them I think it sucks because Corona tweets quite a lot about the stuff like this but after this tone-deaf approach I look at all of our tweets about how you know it's disappointing after my girl while four people would even move an inch for me and then she tweets other stuff along the lines of this I wish people were more self conscious of the ways I make others feel twenty-two thousand retweets 81 thousand likes well if you do really wish that Corolla if that is generally something that you really really care about you know you want people to care about other people and you want to show that you actually care that you actually feel empathy and you're not just trying to you know capitalize off of trendy feelings that other people can relate to who are teenagers for the loads of retweets likes and money and you probably shouldn't do stuff like this is this whole quirky vlogger thing that vlog is about going for years it's fucking bullshit like well I'm just gonna cut to the chase Lucas are bullshit 90% of them and and it started to get to the point where I really despise the genre and I can't bear it because these people try and grow of being trendy relatable I'm cool I'm trendy I'm relatable look at me I'm like everybody else I'm like you I borrow from I'm a millionaire and I think give a fuck about my don't have or yours I just want your fucking money and I'll watch that I go oh your vlogs aren't very fun anymore because you're quite clearly not a real person I'm gonna read some of the stuff that people tweeted because of the fact that it generally affected a lot of people here there was quite a lot of people who are watching this stuff can deal with this stuff and deal with depression and they don't want their stuff being turned into some little fashion piece you know that you could turn into some really cool clothing line I make millions of dollars off I tell you what Karina I'm gonna launch my own version with depression on it because that's exactly how I'd be feeling after spending $44 on a hoodie $44 on a hoodie where your marketing mental health I'm doing this whole thing wrong now kronor may have pulled down the tweets and not addressed the fact that she's basically done this but she's still selling this stuff on our store in fact she's selling free versions of these I get it the backlash may have been a bit too much for you but may you should have addressed the fact that it wasn't even your intention in the first place or or maybe say that it was a mistake and and you didn't realize it was something that was going to upset people or make people feel like you were profiting off of something they've gone through but now you just remove the tweets and leave the merch up on the store because you know people could still go and buy it but now the tweets not there it's like the backlash never even existed during that whole thing just sucks really it's just another state of the art showpiece of what the youtubers really don't actually put any care or thought into anything they seem to do nowadays which is just a reoccurring theme I could basically pin everything down to that I don't actually think coroner is trying to profit off of mental health at least like I have really hope not you know I would like to have a little bit more faith in the fact that maybe she isn't trying to do that I do think these people care so little they don't even think about the backlash because if they were going to release anything you'd be able to look at this and go maybe this wouldn't go down too well with people and if she thought the positives outweigh the bad well that means she thought she was helping more people somehow or but she was gonna make way more money off it then you know she really needed to she went and posted this anyone knowing the consequences it was going to have I would like to help people on YouTube not make these mistakes that they seem to make all the time and here's my one bit of advice and I really do mean it because I would like to see stuff like this not happening because it sucks for everybody just think a bit more just like put a little bit more thought into what you're doing what you're making or content you're producing and you know what's going out there and how it's gonna make people feel and how it's gonna make you look cuz then you'd avoid 90% of this stuff but anyway that's it for me guys just please please please PLEASE buy my new merch line out now it's really good give it a look this is just one of the samples I think it's really gonna go well on youtubers and I will see you
