what is going on everybody this is going to be a uh one of a kind van tour i can guarantee it because i've got a crazy lovable individual behind me oh yeah i mean this is just gonna be bonkers off the wall i can't wait for it this is one of the most well first of all unique individuals beyond that his van is extremely unique because it's different than the white ship lap it's different than all that stuff it is a very loft feeling i love it i can't wait to see this this is my dude right here we we became best friends literally since the moment we met we're tight like this we're tight we tight so yes uh without further ado we're going to get this going right now let's go then i know that people want to know about your van but i mean i mean i want to know about you man introduce yourself all right so guys my name's keon i am from maryland lived in maryland pretty much my whole life and then i moved to pennsylvania um a couple years after that so and i built my van in pennsylvania so did you really i did man it was cold it was cold okay yeah it was very cold so like trying to like nail and do all that stuff with tools and stuff definitely hurt hurts your fingers and stuff when it's super cold outside and how long you been full time full time in here for two years no that's a long time two years two years is a long time but i love it though it doesn't feel like two years to be completely honest like i always forget that i'm living in a van my van is so closed off that like i'll like forget that i'm like in a van or it's like sleeping in the road i think like i'm in the house or something like that because i have like no windows so i can't really tell that i'm like outside until i actually think about it now i'm gonna ask you where where are we right now because you're not in pennsylvania we're not in pennsylvania we're in san diego how do you feel it feels great yeah it's great um van life is not huge on the east coast at all there's not a lot of van builders so when people see this they like whoa like how did you do that for sure but over here it's like a common thing and like everybody lives on in vans and you see them on the road and by the beach all the time so and i also know that you are now kind of helping out some people converting vans now yeah i'm actually helping out some other van van builders i used to hey thanks dude i'm so sorry audio i appreciate that did you record it i'm recording i got that whole thing see what happens is negative energy tries to come in and try to tear down your your your tour man but but for the audience i want them to know that actually that's one of keon's friends that is my friend and i left him daily as he does it again in the background like we can't hear that should i do like a close and opening time well we already we already showed it it's already been on frame it's already my friend uh but keon i'm going to step on in if that's cool yeah go ahead sweet first of all you you're a tall individual i am very tall okay i think i'm like six one yeah so i i got head okay last time i checked okay next time i check so stand tall but i still have plenty of space for like head room and were you were such a gentle giant i i mean i adored you the moment i saw you for sure but you you were you were you're an inspiration to me yeah i appreciate that yeah but listen seriously okay to all the van watchers out there who's been watching jared's fan like videos i watched them too like even before i even had my van even when it was just a dream for me and i seen all of these people in their vans living living free and traveling and stuff it was all through jared's youtube and i'm pretty sure you've seen other people's stuff but mainly for me it was jared's videos i used to watch it like it was a television show so to meet him in person and hear his iconic voice and watch him do other van builds was crazy but i can like recognize your voice from a mile away okay so when i met him i was like jared tarcher he was like screaming and he was like weirded out a little bit like no no i i jumped i jumped but you have the biggest lovable personality man and honestly man like i wouldn't be doing this tour if i was threatened by you in any way man you are you are a massive inspiration to me and the van community van life community man i honestly man i'm saying that from the bottom of my heart like i want you to keep doing you because you're going to inspire a lot of people on my channel i guarantee it well i say to you when i saw your back your your bill i was like this is one of my favorite bills man yeah for sure um i i went with like a because usually everybody goes with like the all-white the white cabinets everything white me i like darker tones i was trying to go for like a coffee shop or like a brooklyn loft so that's where the brick comes in and these dark tone woods and everything like the black lower cabinets and stuff like that so that's where i got those inspirations from just this pictures and stuff like that throughout the internet i want to show what you're leaning on right now what you leaning on oh this is my hidden shower oh yeah so people don't know people ask because it comes out like further than everything else but this comes off so i lift this whole part of the kitchen i got a shot of that in there look at that it's just yeah it's it's all good and everything yeah but that's the that's the trueness of it but that comes off it doesn't lift up i actually take it all the way off this door opens up and you walk inside of it while this is off obviously and then i have shower curtains that hook onto these little hooks on the ceiling and then i take a shower like that i shower in my van every single day do you really yeah how many gallons of water you have 25 gallons but i'm always near somebody that has like a water fill up so okay and then you do a military style shower on off on off uh yeah on off exactly okay but i shower every day i don't play no games hey i actually like your style i like showered every day i'm bougie all my other friends will say i took a shower in three days i'm like three days like come on now like there's nothing wrong with it you know what i mean but to each his own i shower in my van every day i like i like how you said that man yeah but what about toilet you got a toilet in there i do so my composting toilet is hidden inside of here also okay i'm not gonna show that so no we're good don't ask me everybody in the comments where's the toilet where's the tool where do you don't worry it's there it's in there okay and i'm not going to show you i don't go in your house and actually where your toilet is where do you use the bathroom now you're a character and a half and i don't ever change that's all i'm gonna say please don't ever ever change but my composer toilet is in here once i shower i take it out and then once my shower is over it turns right back into my kitchen cabinet so more counter space for me for my cooking for chopping up veggies when we knocked over your your plant over there i feel bad let's get that baby back up thank you yeah we got to protect the plants you kept the loft feel even with this light fixture dude yeah i didn't see this in no one's vans usually people go with like the puck likes but i didn't want to do the pug likes i went with this the tracking lights and this is pretty and these are just like led lights also so it's nice because i can move them around if i want to like face them down i can is it 12 volt or 21 um they're 120. okay but it doesn't pull that it doesn't pull that much in me i i barely have them on i do have puck likes in the back so i usually keep those on but these don't drain that much one of them uh so you have your inverter on at all times uh i have two inverters oh oh so i have a small inverter and i have a big inverter because i i also game in my van and i watch movies we're gonna i wanted to get to that when we switch sides i'm gonna talk about the gaming so we're gonna pause on that but uh let's actually switch sides so we can talk about the rest okay because you got a cool tv man yeah i do okay where's your sides yo keon before we get to your your your gaming setup on the wall over there you got an induction right here i do and i want you did something a little different down here too yeah i went with the wine cooler for a fridge i think that's awesome and it's huge it's huge i think it's so cool man yeah and a see-through also so i can see everything that's in there um that's so cool this is also 120. i keep it on like a medium setting so it stays cold but it doesn't take a lot of my power i know everybody goes with the dometic 12 volt and stuff like that but i kind of did something different and another thing is to p to keep it completely honest with you this was my first build this is before i knew anything about like what 12 volt was like i made like i made mistakes you know what i mean it still works but i didn't even know like dometic like 12-volt refrigerators was a thing i love how you owned it though yeah you just owned it you were like yo i didn't know this i didn't know but yeah but since i came out here and all of my friends are van builders i'm like oh so there's a difference between 120 and 12 volts do you want to talk about how you just like showed up at people's houses and you were like yo i want to be your friends and then everybody just loved you yeah so there's this guy should i can i mention shayden yeah of course yeah so shade and a lot of you guys may know him so i was messaging him before i even had my van i seen him on jared's page and i was like i have to live in a van now once i seen that video so i used to message him all the time and he used to ride his one wheel on the beach with all his friends and i was like i want to live that lifestyle i was working this super boring job miserable and i was like i want to do what he's doing so instead of sitting back watching people live in vans i decided to get my own van and that is why i love you keon because you were like i'm gonna do something to change my life exactly that is why you are an inspiration that's what i'm trying to talk about appreciate it okay continue i'm sorry so good yeah dude so instead of just watching people on youtube being wishing and hoping that i could live that life i did it and i drove from mainland i literally started at the atlantic ocean and drove all the way over i met shayden in person and i was like dude i'm here and then now he's like one of my best friends and i ride one wheels with him i do everything that he was doing that i was watching him do on instagram and i'm getting a jared tour are you kidding me oh man thank you what's up he's recording me right now like i'm not watching him on youtube guys like he's in my van recording me and talking to me how's it gonna feel to be watching yourself i'm just gonna be like is that me but this might happen to somebody else though like i don't have that same effect that happened to shayden to me with somebody else you know what i love that man let's see how you did that actually man you should be a motivational speaker uh other than motivational speaking uh you have a gaming that you do you talk to me about this i do um so i'm a big gamer um i've been playing the same game for a long time i do still have the ps4 sits on top of my closet here and i have a television in the back on the back wall oh yeah so i hang out in here and i play video games i also have wi-fi okay inside of my van it's just a little hot spot modem that i got from amazon and i paid monthly for like a certain amount of gigabytes and stuff like that so that's how you do the gaming because it's that's not easy to do yeah that's pretty cool yeah so i play online also okay oh that's right because that makes sense with the gaming can you say what game it is it's overwatch okay so i've been playing overwatch so all my overwatch fans out there you got a headset in the whole night the whole i talked to yeah i'm in the party with all my friends just talking playing video games yeah you just skip a beat man i love it yeah yeah um other than that the loft feel continues on you got those lights in the back you got the i love the brick yeah the brick is pretty nice the brick is dope yeah and it has some texture to it too it's not just wallpaper like there's there's grooves in here and it's not real brick for all the people who are wondering no it's not no this isn't real because i had a couple of questions is it rubric is it like at the festival we're at right now not here but just in general like back at home and stuff they thought it was real and made the van heavy no it's not real you talked about earlier you're having two different inverters yes what was the reason for that so i have two different inverters one i have a big inverter which is a 3000 watt inverter and my other one is only 800. okay the 800 watt inverter only powers my television my phone and like a laptop or something like that and my playstation that's just to save more energy because the longer your big inverter is on the more power it draws and it draws double the power like once you turn something on so then i have a big inverter from a hot water tank my induction stove and my fridge and stuff like that so you know two different settings and switches exactly yeah yeah okay so that's what that's the reason for my because i don't want to run something small like charging my phone on a 300 watt inverter okay i mean you can but that just takes i feel like it just takes more for sure yeah yeah for sure and then this is always your closet yeah this is my closet here it's a huge closet i keep most of my clothes and stuff but i'm a guy so i just leave my stuff in the bag and then when i wash clothes i don't fold clothes like i'm a van lifer my clothes don't need to be straight one of the most real is the real people you go outside with your shirt wrinkle we do it you want to show in the back at all underneath the bed yeah sure we can open it it's super stealth by the way do you want to because it's a you're you're a stealth gamer yeah i'm a stealth gamer so i here's a trick that i used to do and i put this on my tick tock before i used to put a hard hat uh clipboard and a safety vest on my passenger seat yeah so that way people think i'm a construction van and i have no windows on the side i keep my doors closed um you can barely see the solar panels on my roof just to stay stealthy like i don't want anybody to know that i live in here i don't want people peeking in or anything like that so that's the whole reason for that see this right now no he gave you a massive shout out man he gave you a massive shout out that's awesome like he gave you a massive shadow man you should be happy about this yeah he was talking about how he came and saw you and do you know how crazy this is for me right now to see you guys together and like me like standing in front of you boom from the screen to reality just when i first heard i was like oh my god i just cried i was freaking out when i first you should just cry man it's good for camera man open up your bag for me boss all right open up the back door so shayden i can go towards shaden's van after this is this a is this a bench thought like can you make this into a table i can yeah so this is the whole dinette thing but to be honest i keep it in bed mode all the time you never don't have time to just like move all the blankets and then set up the the lagoon i thought this was a fixed bed i'm going to be honest with you no it can go it can go into a dinette okay let me ask you this was the last time you had a dinette oh man you don't even remember i don't remember okay okay i don't remember it's been a while but yeah i have the whole heating system it's a good idea a lot of people put their heating like up front but i have mine literally right underneath my bed right there okay so the heat rises and it literally just like comes right underneath my bed and then onto me and keeps me super i mean it's been cold the last few nights you have this on every night okay every night and uh what do you have the chinese diesel i have the chinese diesel yep so you have a separate tank for it i do have a separate tank because my van's gas so right my tank hides behind my passenger seat oh okay can you please share your social media stuff i've already plastered it but please share yourself for me my i have no idea i don't know the size of a bit but i'm a pretty tall guy so i sleep diagonal but my bed does extend out so so like my legs and my feet can go that's pretty cool you can go that way too yeah so it like slides out like on the other side oh okay okay that's pretty nifty yeah like slides down then i have like two cushions that sit over there and then my feet can go that way but that's only if i have company okay yeah do you have company a lot [Applause] oh this is why i love keon i mean he even has a skylight he didn't even talk about this thing is so nice at night time the moon light shines through here and you can see all of the stars and like when i'm by the beach and i'm parked under a palm tree you can see the palm trees moving at night time and it's so relaxing i have my candles lit playing my little jazz music watching a movie do you have a gaming name or is there that thing instagram okay is that a thing the gaming name yeah my gamer tag your gamertag yeah okay it's dirty bands bro it's the same as my instagram dirty vans bro do people that are talking to do they know you're in a van playing with them they don't i tell them and they don't get it like how are you playing in the van like what does that even mean like on your phone or something i'm like no i have like a full setup man yeah that's super cool i'm not gonna lie because i'd be by the beach like literally playing my game like online with really friends yeah and you're on the beach i'm on a beach or i'm just part in a random neighborhood playing videos and then they hear the waves crashing
