all right guys I am doing another van tour today um this man really needs no introduction uh Brandon Buck SD has already been on the channel a couple times he has brought us a new creation different color scheme I don't know what do you want to say at the top buddy anything no let's get into it okay let's get right into it because this thing is ridiculous yet again I can't wait to show it off let's go the man the mental Legend the beat means you're filming yeah all right uh we're back again with a Ram ProMaster it's a 159 High roof standard length so it's not the extended it's only 19 feet 8 inches this time you'll notice it's black so we've blacked out the whole van it's been de-badged we've got line X on all the plastic uh powder coat the sliding door rail we've got smoked side indicators and tail lights LED headlights integrated LED light bar on the front bumper there's a 360 camera system and hopefully what you can't see is Up on the Roof we've got 620 watts of walkable solar there's semi-rigid panels so they're only about a quarter inch thick everywhere else we couldn't fit solar we've put a polycarbonate plastic with grip tape so you can walk the entire roof deck it's all non-skid big Skylight a fan and a 5G cell booster down below we've got an inch and a half lift up front 17 inch black rhino Wheels ko2 tires just kind of your usual stuff can we step on in I'm gonna take my shoes off when we go in this thing right after this anyway okay nothing else to do Jump Right In thanks buddy it's super muggy today it actually is can't tell but it's like the hottest muggiest day we've had here in San Diego in a long time we're gonna close that up for me thank you oh now the camera's fixed itself we got lighting sound is better no wind start up front yeah uh we've got a partition it's fully insulated super quiet when you're driving super quiet when you're back here helps immensely with the temperature change we can literally have about a 70 degrees difference between the cabin and back here we've got a locking pocket door yeah built-in mirror it's keyed from the cabin side got the shelmon seats this time dual armrest custom-made to your height and weight uh I hear a fan what do we we'll get to that okay we're gonna get to that okay we'll start up front I think this is kind of the coolest piece right here but this is our expandable recirculating shower if you want to come over here get a nice view of this so you just bump that out do you know what what distance you just bumped that out it's on 18 inch slides okay um you see opens up underneath our exhaust fan yeah those we've got a overhead cabin in here that houses uh our shower system so we've got a sprayer with variable pressure that completely stops when you let off it that's connected to our one of two hot water heaters and by default that just gets sent back to our internal gray tank everything in this Vans internal it's designed for Four Seasons and extreme temperatures if you flick a switch it's going to send that water through a series of seven filters including UV it's going to go through a 3500 watt on-demand hot water heater take a shower or you can even see sit down and put the shower head on top of you and basically take like a seated jacuzzi as long as you want use the whole system use about a gallon and a half to run the research function when you're done uh pump all that back to the great tank did you come up with that yourself you did the whole research yourself uh yeah um we're using a dry flush toilet this time I did see that the yeah what'd you use before I don't remember we were using compost toilets before that okay and I think hands down the dry flush is the way to go I agree one of the worst Parts about the compost toilet was just having to explain to somebody how to use it so it was like total deal breaker so this toilet operates just like a residential toilet except it uses no water and it practically uses any electricity you get about 15 flushes or until it's full and it all just pulls out in a black super subtle bag and you can just empty that in any trash bin like at a gas station so no awkward rolling cassette toilets into a public restroom or pulling the whole toilet outside to deal with the compost or having to drive and pay 20 bucks to go to a dump station next to that we've got our hanging wardrobe you want I'll handle this as always no no handles handle this yeah I'll push to open on the Cabinetry yeah a little hint if you guys are doing push to open Hardware on your cabinets if you put a little foam piece behind everything so it requires extra pressure before it releases your cabinets will stay closed while you're driving really yeah okay A little little hack from random buckets up top we got a little digital Spa timer so that's for our two and a half gallon electric hot water heater so that's going to Prime the system wow and then we've also got the on-demand hot water heater which is just for the shower down below is our whole plumbing system two heaters two pumps seven filters UV everything's designed to be serviceable you can you know just enough room to unscrew a filter and get it out that enclosure is also completely waterproof so if there was a leak almost all of our fittings are just down in this one wardrobe down here or cabinet and it's got a drain pull at the bottom so worst case scenario you're not going to Total your van you added a feature yeah so this is probably my favorite new feature this is part of the reason we went with the all black design on the outside windows you finally put Windows in people are going to be on you the people that are loyal to you so uh all the glass including the skyline is ceramic tinted which helps with the heat we're using residential day night blinds they're honeycomb so they help with insulation and they also make it a lot quieter and then we've designed these window boxes so it completely blocks all the light from Crossing so when that goes down yeah okay so you can have all these lights as high as they get and it can be pitch black outside and with these blinds down you can literally just smote your face up to the window and there's absolutely no light bleed anywhere and then it's also going to hold them in place if you want them down while you're driving so they're not swinging around I had to say when I was on the outside I didn't know that was a window so it's a high gloss black paint it's not a metallic and so it's it's identical basically to the windows oh wow so unless you're out of building Vans or researching Windows you're probably never going to notice some okay uh speaking of high gloss up above yeah these are machined cabinet faces um they're laser Edge banded they're basically as flat as a mirror but we've got a bunch upper storage you can see our sound system that's built in we've got a subwoofer underneath the couch all the cabinets have outlets and USB in them we used to have a control panel area back here and we've moved that so it's opened up a lot of storage space we try to hide all the buttons and the screens and stuff like that because I think it's just gonna date really quickly so just trying to keep it a clean minimal design so hopefully it looks good for years to come the whole design was largely inspired by micro Apartments so we're able to use one space that kind of transforms into different spaces without feeling like you're in all of those at the same time so right now I'd say we're kind of in a lounge mode okay so if we're hanging out here um you know there's not a sink you don't see your bed it's just total Lounge mode we can easily go into kitchen mode got a super deep sink it's about 10 inches deep we've got our waterproof switches for our water pump our gray tank drain which we have another one at the driver's seat and our hot water circulation pump you even did different color lights so this one's going to stand it's going to purge all the hot water lines back into the fresh tank so as soon as you turn the faucet on or the shower head you're gonna almost instantly have hot water so you don't need to waste any back here we've got our dual induction cooktop it's removable so you can cook wherever you want we've got outlets in the garage so you could easily bring it outside a bunch of prep space in the middle here uh down below we've got our fridge and freezer a little extra drawer for storage it's probably where you put your Cutlery or your plates Etc come over here the grill combo you can literally roast a turkey in that thing okay according to the manufacturer we've never done that and we do have a table which I'll show you guys in a second but basically that's kitchen mode and then we can really easily transition into uh office mode this client had us equip it with an Xbox for some it's a 32 inch 4k monitor we've got a table that holds itself in any position so if you're on a slant it's not going to slide on you and it won't fully lock out in the open position it's also got wireless charging built into it wherever that spot is but oh there it is you were like two inches off yeah that's funny still learning this thing security system we've got a HDMI transmitter on all four cameras there's a van I'm driving right now so whether it's daytime and you just want to be able to look out all four sides or nighttime when the blinds are shut if you hear a noise or something like that you just grab this little broadcast any Wi-Fi device so you could have this on your phone on the TV yeah people are going to ask you what system that is is that is that a Brandon Buck SD system no it's a it's a Way vision 1080p we sell it on eBay and then it's a HDMI transmitter Holly View I think is the cheese guy that makes it it's kind of neat you can zoom in and uh you could have this record if you want you had that mounted last time yeah this used to be like fixed in a cabinet and you had to have the cabinet open to be able to view it but now it's you can basically just be working and put it right in front of you or you can put this thing wherever you want is so this acts as a monitor as well for a computer yep we've got cable pass-throughs in the back so you can plug your laptop into it uh wireless keyboard stuff like that now wait did you have a bamboo last time I don't remember no last time we were all white no slots it was just it was just a light wall yeah it's not white anymore um see down below we've got a storage so this is gonna be for our um trash bin we've got a great tank there's an Outlets down there so you can have an espresso machine or a vacuum you can see our tank level gauges back here massive storage space again with the outlets and there's the Xbox that we added back over here this is now where our controls hang out oh so kind of the ideas we don't really need to access these things too often because everything's kind of set it forget it along we've got our electric heated floor so everything in this vehicle is electric except for our gasoline powered furnace but the electrocuted floor is great because if we bring the van up to a comfortable temperature in the winter time and we can heat the van with just the electrocuted floor overnight which means it's super stealth you're not running a furnace to heat the floor right so there's no noise and there's no exhaust from outside so if you're at like the base of a ski Resort or boondocking in town in the winter time there's no giveaway that somebody might be living in it next to that we've got our cruising Comfort air conditioner 48 volt 12 000 BTU 12 000 BTU yeah air conditioner yeah 48 volt yeah okay I need to like just say that slower for people to understand this um again it's all housed inside so the air conditioner is inside it's not on the roof uh opens up more space for solar helps lower our center of gravity and you said it was a cruising Comfort that's what you said okay yep uh the new 48 volt system and we've actually got variable speeds on the compressor the blower motor and the condenser fan so basically what that means is we can control how loud this unit is so if you want to be doing a zoom call in here you can turn the blower motor down or the compressor motor down and if you want to run it at night time without people hearing it from outside you can turn the condenser fan we're probably hearing it on our mic right now what motor is in right now uh we have the compressor at just its normal speed and then we have the blower motor turned down okay next to that we've got our battery meter and then our Webasto air top gasoline-powered furnace so it's tapped into the vehicle's main fuel tank so you only have one fuel source everything else is electric so you don't need to muck with propane or diesel we keep on talking about electrical I'm sorry what what is your electrical system uh okay you're gonna get to that okay otherwise audio system so again uh built into speakers and our subs under the couch we have two inverters on this build there's a smaller 800 watt pure sign Ames inverter that's powering some of our Outlets uh like the TV where you charge your phone so it's always on and then we've got a second inverter it's a 6000 watt pure sign Ames that can actually Peak to 18 000 Watts for 20 seconds we can run everything in this fan at once no problem so the two heaters the stove the idea was to make it feel like a house where you're not having to manage your your power use or trip Breakers and stuff like that and that's all being powered by our 48 volt 21 kilowatt hour battery and we're charging that three ways we've got the 620 watts of walkable solar on the roof our second alternator so it's dedicated alternator just for charging this that runs a continuous six to seven thousand Watts charging when you're driving okay and then we've got short power with 15 30 and 50 amp receptacles so you could technically use an adapter and charge this thing up with a Ed station and take advantage of the higher charging speeds so if you run this dry 50 21 kilowatt hours yeah that's a lot yeah that's that's about one-fifth of a Tesla we'll say it's actually closer to like 27 of a model three 27 of a model three It's Gonna Get You About 75 miles of range in electric cars could you charge an electric car off of yours could you go the other way so we have 2A charging so uh you could basically double this battery pack as like a Tesla power wall for your house so if there's a power outage or you want to take advantage of the cheaper electric rates at night you can charge this battery pack up and use it as a source to power your home during the daytime or when there's heat waves like we're in right now I thought that was a really cool feature that's amazing being able to double this massive battery pack because a typical household is used in about 10 kilowatt hours of power a day so we could comfortably run the average household for two days just off this battery pack and because we're in a van and everything's super efficient I don't want to throw out numbers but we could run this thing for a long time yeah you could um down below we've got a tried to hide all the automotive or RV stuff yeah that's part of the reason for the front and rear partition so down underneath the whole kitchen toe kick that's the vent for our gasoline-powered furnace and then on the other side the couch toe kick is the air intake for our air conditioner and then that's ducted through the back of the Wardrobe and comes out the back here okay so all our AC is just blowing to the back here it's perfect if you're working back here and if you're sleeping at night it just kind of lands on your head oh we've got a massive skylight this thing opens 70 degrees and you can crawl out of it to get access to the roof you can easily see if your solar panels are dirty and wiping down so we don't have any ladders or roof racks or any of that stuff try to keep it modest I guess in the outside yeah not all flashy I like that yeah close that up I kind of like the dark tone Vibes in here it's nice to be able to control the lighting so we can we can completely black out everything it's just crazy moves I would just switch like that yeah that's crazy our couch cushions they fit perfectly between the toe kick and the full exact length of the floor so you can double the floor with these couch cushions uh as a guest bed okay and you've got about 10 inches of clearance between the base of the couch to the Murphy bed when that's down so it kind of doubles as like a little uh nightstand for your guest put your phone there and your laptop and stuff are you kidding me yeah so is that all by Design or was that on accident so they fit in the couch on the cushion between the toe kicks was intentional and then having this little piece perfectly reached the partition wall is just a total coincidence okay cool at least you're honest yeah uh we're using 41 base foam so it's a really foam cushion okay with 31 backfall but basically what that means is uh we can slide this cushion out so you know we can either try to have more aisle space if we want um we can slide it out a little bit so you've still got enough room to open all your cabinets but you can literally just bring this thing out I mean this is the actual size of a residential couch so you see a lot of couches yeah Vans and a lot of them are just kind of like Ledges because you don't really think about it you just don't have a lot of space to work with so this is the sixth iteration of these couch dimensions what number van are we in that you've done 10 or 8. okay like these designs of these designs yeah a ton of effort went into trying to maximize the spacing here it's our Murphy bed this is what you were most famous for back in the day and now you're you're getting famous for just doing really really nice builds thank you that's uh it's assisted so it's easy to put up what do you mean by assistant hydraulic yeah it's got Springs okay and they're adjusted to the weight of the bed once all the mattress and beddings and stuff is it sitting on anything over here no so it's all designed to be floating okay so it's uh it's putting all the weight back to the hinges basically and it's super solid yeah I mean this is the obviously done yeah what's the size again I mean just for people that don't remember it's uh four feet wide six and a half feet long and if for some reason you're taller than that only half of the feet is actually blocked by something so you could be 10 feet tall and still sleep in here our back walls padded this time so it just makes it comfy if you want to lean against the wall and watch TV and again it helps with the Acoustics in here so when you've got the blinds down and this padded wall is exposed it just makes a little bit quieter when you're sleeping so yeah so you can watch TV in bed as in by putting this up and then boom you've got your background right there if you wanted to don't ever have to make the bed it fits with the pillows and your bedding you don't have to store your pillows in Bedding taking up storage space you don't have to assemble a bed twice a day all the little van life things that you don't think about until you start doing it for a long time we've tried to address so we don't have to assemble a bed we don't have to erect some sort of shower dealing with waste is super simple we don't have to put blinds in the windows multiple times a day or like reflectix there's no dealing with curtains every time you park sun shades which looks really awkward when it's winter time and you're putting a sun shade in your windshield it's like everybody knows and our control panel now that's next to the bed you can still access it all from in bed so you can literally just lean over and change the because of your space so you can you can read all the gauges and have access to everything you need and still do the master light switch in the back so uh that'll kill all the lights when you're in bed so you don't have to crawl the end of the bed and hit a switch so small things like that are what we've just been refining over the years you know we try not to make big changes the windows with something new but we've been planning this for a long time so we've tried to address all the things that might come up I mean is it safe to say Brian that that you are the king of stealth like I thought I was pretty darn good at stealth back in the day but one of the key focuses on the design is to try to make it so it doesn't look like a camper van from the outside people can't hear you from outside they don't know your lights are on uh inside it's really there's no compromises between the space and like a luxury apartment we've got more features than most places do with the heated floor and air conditioning I mean with the style and how it looks it's like this is an upscale New York apartment that's what we're going for uh again a lot of The Inspirations from the micro apartments and been watching way too many yacht tours so this this whole scheme came off of like a 50 million dollar yacht basically you know the van I don't think it's flashy on the outside we're not throwing lots of accessories and stuff on it but it's something that I think somebody around here could park in their driveway and it doesn't look like a contractor's vehicle or something like that not at all you still got the back done you want to show us the back uh yeah show you the garage real quick unless there's something else in here you want to show me there's probably 10 things that I forgot but I do not liking this heat by the way pal yeah it's super muggy maybe we could throw a photo up but it's designed for two full-size bikes so we've got L track on the sides take your front wheel off Ford bounce up there uh tons of space for skiing all those snowboards surfboards we've got two sets of outlets again with the USB we've got a 50 foot uh stainless steel hose for filling the water tank and a 30 foot hose with a sprayer on the outside so you can easily rinse off your bike and you can technically rinse off the solar panel you could wash this whole car we hold 32 gallons of water since we're on that subject what was your what was your reasoning for the cutouts uh uh it's for the bike pedals so the depth of the garage is roughly 10 inches and it's as shallow as it can be to accommodate a full-size downhill mountain bike oh nice all right people are going to ask what happened to the uh pulling the water from the air atmospheric water generator so it's nothing new we were initially intrigued because we could recycle the condensation from the air conditioner so it's trying to be super efficient it really makes more sense just to have a dedicated unit for water generation and because obviously the AC you're not always going to want that on like in the winter time and it's going to be a little bit more efficient just trying to produce water as well as also trying to blow cold air you can get these things it's you know it's just like a office water cooler basically yeah they're pretty common and we do have space in the trunk here and we got plenty of power to run it so it'd be really easy to just throw one in the trunk here just low priority we got other things we're trying to low priority absolutely and I I actually looked into those they actually are pretty cool yeah the water cooler is not that expensive it's uh and they make everything from like countertop size to I mean you can get ones the size of storage containers that pump out like thousands of gallons of water a day right on say your information again people could contact you you build these for clients yep so uh we build these full-time if you'd like one you can contact me uh what's the best way to contact you Instagram just a message uh buckets D and you know this design is the result of having lived in camper vans full time for about a decade now kind of take like an iPhone approach where we're just trying to make it just a little bit better each time because we just know with a fresh floor plan there's going to be all these things you didn't think about until you start living in it for a couple months and then you want to move a switch or make something a different dimension and also thank you to your client that allowed you to hold on to this for a couple more days so I can yeah I wanted to really appreciate it I wanted to say thank you to that client because uh I wasn't able to get here until today yeah so he's literally picking it up tomorrow so you're gonna go clean it again after we just we're doing a photo shoot after this and then we're gonna clean it again tomorrow yeah so all right cleaning vans today and huge thank you to you guys uh love seeing uh you know you guys reactions and huge thank you to Jared I think you've probably filmed like 12 or 15 of my friends van tours at this point so everybody's been so stoked it's come a long way so really excellent we've come a long way remember our first one together on the beach I had no idea who you were I dude I had no idea where I was I literally never watched one of your videos do a tour and remember that video man it's still one of my top videos so amazing man I'm so glad that we became friends over the years uh all right Brandon thank you so much again and we'll see you again soon cheers [Music] foreign [Music]
