we are learning more about the childhood of a Man convicted yesterday of killing three people WDRB Stefon Johnson tells us what we've learned about Bryce rhs Stefan well today we've heard about that troubled childhood and some of the challenges rhs face growing up he was task avoidant and you know and and chores weren't he um and some again trying to determine what's age appropriate and not age appropriate he tried to you know get out of chores a lot he wasn't it wasn't his favorite thing to do um you Bryce was over on Monday Bryce roads was found guilty of killing three people today attorneys made opening statements in the penalty phase of the trial and then called witnesses to the stand the offense called Road's stepmother his stepmother shared information about Road's troubled childhood and struggles at home and at school she said they've always had a loving relationship but shared one One exchange that caught her off guard prosecutors called relatives of the three people roads as convicted of killing in May of 2016 what Bryce what is you know going on and he looked at me and he said get out of my face and it was just like a whole different you know I i' never seen that in him he sounded different and it was yeah so it was um that was I I I mean I can still hear his voice in my head I miss him so much we all miss him so much every day and the penalty phase continues tomorrow with more testimony roads is facing 20 years to life in prison just ahead at 6 roads has a brother who also had some challenges as a child you may be surprised to find out where he is today with photojournalist Neil Johnson I'm Stefan Johnson WDRB news
