what is that that's law that's the law of moses it is the sabbath watch it now it is not lawful for you to carry your bed he answered them he who made me well said to me take up your bed and walk i love this are you still here then they asked him well who is the man who said to you take up your bed and walk i'll stop right there so now get it the bible says when jesus looks at the man what is what is the man encountering now he's encountering grace talk to him he's encountering grace and truth says i know that you think you're disqualified and i know that people have made you feel disqualified by cutting you off and putting impediments in front of you but i'm telling you get up and walk are you still here and the bible says he says rise to your bed and walk and the bible says and immediately the man was made well now that is important because as i said before i've heard it preached time and time again that jesus told the man to take up his bed because he wanted the man to carry what he had been lying on and this was a part of his healing but that is not scriptural you know the lord wants you to take up what you've been laying on and he wants you to carry it and you'll get better somebody shout yes no don't shout yes to that because it's wrong [Applause] the bible says and immediately somebody shouted immediately and immediately the man was made well took up his bed and walked so his carrying the bed had nothing to do with his healing so what did his carrying the bed have to do with it had to do with his continuing in the grace of god because the grace of god is what made him whole and see if you're going to walk it out what you receive then you have to continue in the grace of god which means you have to be prepared for people who will want to steal your liberty and bring you back into the conformity of rule and regulation religion you have to be ready to defeat them you have to deserve them when they come because they will steal your liberty this is why paul is what paul wrote and said stand fast in the liberty wherewith christ has made you free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage are you still here so the question is is this the word of faith or is this the word of grace there was a major emphasis years ago in the church of the word of faith come on say amen to this and i'm an inheritor of that word i'm an inheritor and it helped and blessed and it restored uh a a a level of truth and revelation back to the body of christ and i'm a firm believer in the word of faith but the word of grace and the word of faith are the same word now the spirit of god said to me i want you to say this i want you to deal with this because see when god be when god the holy spirit begins to emphasize an area of his word he is never saying this or that he's saying this and that see when things are being restored you don't switch one for the other you take the one that came before and take it into the next and you take it into the net and you take it into the next until the coming of the lord when the church actually looks like him did you get what i just said so the word of faith and the word of grace are the same word there is no combat here there is no conflict here i asked the lord i said god you refer to your word in some places as the word of faith in other places you refer to it as the word of grace i said which one is it he said it's both my word is the word of faith and my word is the word of grace and then he said this to me he said faith is the force that's released in the word do you get it faith faith is the force that's in it when you speak it that force goes out are you there he said to me but grace is the place or the realm from which that word comes it it's the realm from which that word originates see it originates from a place of undeserved favor and when you get it the force that's in it is released to get you by your faith what i gave you by my grace did you get it the the force is released to get you by your faith what i've already given you by my grace well let's talk let me start at verse number 20 because we're talking about abraham are you still there watching we're talking about abraham watch it and being fully convinced talking about abraham that what he that is god had promised he was able to perform so it's not saying abraham was fully convinced that what god had promised he was able to look at verse 22 and therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness what was accounted him for righteous his believing that god could do what he told him was credited to him glory to god for righteousness are you there now look at verse 23 now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed him in other words paul is telling us that when god told us abraham believed god and it was imputed or credited to him that's what that word means or accounted to him for righteousness he's like i didn't write that just for abraham i didn't write that i gave abraham something he didn't deserve because he believed i didn't write that i gave abraham something he hadn't earned righteousness just for believing i didn't write that just for abraham he said now was not written for his sake alone that it was credited to him but also for us in other words paul said god wrote that not just with abraham he wrote it for you for you who it shall be imputed to us who believe in him who raised up jesus our lord from the dead so he say just like abraham believed me and i credited something to him that he didn't deserve all of you who believe that i raised jesus from the dead for your sake i'm also gonna credit you with a bunch of stuff [Applause] that you don't deserve watch watch watch it shall be imputed to us who believe in him who raises our lord from the dead watch this who was delivered up because of our offenses in other words he was crucified not for what he did but for what clarence did so he took clarence's sin and he was crucified for that watch it watch it who was delivered up because of our offenses watch it and was raised because of our justification no you and was raised because of our justification not raised to justify us [Applause] raised because of our justification in other words his resurrection was god's evidence that his sacrifice for clearance was received and clarence's sin debt is paid in full and therefore which is a warship in its own hallelujah yes hallelujah let me read this to you i'm in first samuel chapter 17. i'm going to start at 32. david said to saul let let let no one lose heart on the account of this philistine your servant will go and fight him so for those who i believe we all know it but for those who may not know this is a situation where the israelites are are at war and there's this big giant name goliath and he's he's terrorizing everyone no one can stand up to him so they think and here comes little little cute david shepherd boy and he says don't lose heart i'm gonna go fight him he says to the king saul replied you are not able to go out and fight this philistine and fight him you are only a boy and he has been fighting he has been a fighting man from his youth but david said to saul your servant has been keeping his father sheep when a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock i went after it struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth when it turned on me i seized it by its hair struck it and killed it [Music] your servant has killed both the lion and the bear this uncircumcised philistine will be like one one of them because he has defied the armies of the living god the lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this philistine immediately the holy spirit said he was worshiping he was talking about the goodness of god he was remembering what the lord has done for him and he was walking and saying we're gonna go with the lord and this giant before us will be the grasshopper not i amen so pick up your stone this morning and remember what the lord has done for you and when we say slingshot slingshot slingshot slingshot you swing you swing and you worship you swing and you worship you wave unto the lord and you worship and watch goliath come tumbling down watch the light be defeated before you watch the walls of jericho tumble down as you worship as you win with your worship this morning i remember some years ago when i was singing the song i am a friend of god and we got to this section of oh and i was swinging and i was swinging and and the holy spirit was revealing to me as you're swinging whatever that barrier is in front of you whatever that situation before you you are being delivered and not only are we doing it for ourselves but we're doing it for each other because we are lifting each other up this morning hallelujah iron sharpening iron fires inflaming and igniting fires in this place amen so as we rise in corporate worship pick up that stone remember what the lord has done for you think of just one thing and worship him for it do not let emotions do not let what you see before you hinder your worship this morning that's a tactic of the enemy before david began to worship in this situation his brother was actually kind of chastising him like go away you're always creating trouble but he didn't let that disturb him he stood on the word of god he stood on what he knew who god was who his nature was the deliverer and not only did he deliver him but he delivered the nation hallelujah worship the lord this morning hallelujah hallelujah think on it think on it i like the simplicity of things that it enables me to worship him in spirit and truth when i can really understand what it is that i am saying understand don't wait don't hesitate you will be blessed and as we continue to push forward as we continue to take the momentum that god has given us in the spirit to every area and dimension of our lives it's show joy but what is it that causes you to walk in victory and we as your people come on and lift your hands we as your people father will declare that it is the grace of god that has been given to us not of our works not of our acts not of our actions not of our own accord or on our own doing but father it is your un unmerited favor god and your it is your enabling power that allows us to stand and overcome so we corporately agree that as the prophet of god comes here and stands behind this pulpit again during vision month that the vision for the place of grace is coming into greater focus that men and women are experiencing the refreshing of your grace they are leaving religion leaving strongholds leaving traditions and coming to the place the place of your graves so father we declare good news to you that god has settled all accounts in your favor by his son christ jesus and if you believe that and agree with that say amen [Music] you know i was in prayer this morning as i often am before i come to you certainly and i spend time with the lord and as i was in prayer this morning the scripture came up with me i was you know i was rejoicing before the lord i was in praise uh and you should make sure you spend some time in praise amen uh your your prayer time we you know we should begin with praise that's what jesus taught he said you know when you pray now again he was talking about your regular devotional ongoing private time with god there are different kinds of prayers certainly but when jesus was teaching in matthew 6 and luke 11 about prayer he he he teaches us to begin our time of prayer in praise he go they got it up go into your room when you shut the door your father's in secret reward you openly he said and when you pray shall pray in this manner he says our father who art in heaven hollywood the word hallow means to bless or to praise and i was in that modality of praise and worship this morning and the scripture came up this is the wonderful thing about when you study the word of god when you read the word of god jesus said the holy spirit will bring all things to your remembrance whatever i have spoken to you people would ask me all the time how do you memorize scripture i said i don't i don't try to memorize it i read it and then after i read it i say now lord you said the holy spirit would bring this to my remembrance whenever i need it amen and so i made i've made a discipline of that for 25 plus years but as i was praying this morning the scripture came up in my spirit out of isaiah it says and with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation with joy i believe it's isaiah oh goodness i had it in my other bible find it so the people can see it says with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation and you say what does that mean remember jesus when he spoke to that woman at the well in john chapter 4 the woman in samaria he says to her you know he asked for a drink he said the water i give you will be in you a well of water springing up into everlasting life the greek there is ioneos zoe or unstoppable life um there it is it says therefore with joy you shall draw water from the wells of salvation see the the scripture teaches that when you are born from above the water of life the force of life is placed within your spirit that's what salvation is it is the life of god being placed within your spirit are you still there i said are you still there romans 8 11 sound teaching already romans 8 11 says and if the spirit that raised up christ jesus from the dead dwell in you he that is the spirit that raised christ from it will give life to your mortal body i'm in romans 8 11 now through his spirit who dwells in you are you there now a la borre so isaiah before all this happened said i'm going to give you a secret of how to draw the water out [Music] it's in there when you're born again it's placed in there by the spirit of god but let me give you a secret of how to draw it out he said you draw it out with joy you draw that with joy so there are times when you have to watch this re-joy rejoice to rejoice is to joy again to and it's interesting because and i'm i'm you know i'm on my face praying and so the spirit of the lord is talking to me about this he said i want you to begin to rejoice he said you need some strength so you need to stop depending on somebody else to encourage you when you get weak or when you get a little weary or when stuff doesn't look like it's going the way it should hallelujah god has fixed every christian so you carry your own water you didn't hear what i just said now it's it's it's nice when somebody else comes and waters you but nudge your neighbor if you trust him say but you don't have to water me at all i carry my own i if you don't say anything nice to me i got mine you understand if you don't encourage me i don't need you i appreciate you if you do but see the bible says remember when day why i'm in this you know the bible says when david when he came back and ziklag and everything was destroyed with fire and all this stuff was burned the bible says david went and encouraged himself [Music] in the lord his god the hebrew word there is kazakh look at your neighbor say kazakh to yourself tell them that dude it means to strengthen or fortify yourself in god are you still there and and and so the bible says with joy now i was i was meditating in this as the lord spoke it to me this morning and he said son do you do you notice how many times i tell you to rejoice and be glad no you didn't get it i'm on my face now i'm not reading he said do you do do you remember how many times i've told you about to rejoice and be glad i said you know lord i never really noticed it like that he said yeah i tell you to rejoice because the gladness comes after you do the rejoicing see you don't have to feel happy to rejoice the gladness will come when you start to rejoice i'm talking to somebody right now who needs to strengthen yourself you need a little strength to keep moving you need to take a moment and just close the door tell the children you ain't crazy you're gonna hear me in here hollering for about three or four minutes i'm just gonna rejoice and dance before the lord no music no instruments [Music] ah come on lay your hands on yourself i packed my own i packed my own uh hallelujah so i want to that this man of god is with the lord the bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord and while that does not change the fact that his physical presence will be missed by those who loved him and appreciated him none more than his wife and family we know as the scripture says uh that even when we sorrow or when we grieve over these types of events we do not sorrow or grieve as those who have no hope for we know that we shall see our brother again and so we celebrate the life of the elder and we will be celebrating that on saturday will you clap your hands and praise the lord for his life and for those of you who may not know him i assure you he was a man worthy of honor and celebration turn with me in your bibles very quickly oh there he is there he is he's in heaven with jesus and as uh one man said we shall go to him he shall not come again to us we will go to where he is amen and he is in a better place turn with me real quickly in your bibles to the book of first kings i want you to see something here the book of first kings chapter number three and i'm going to read verse 4. in that fact i'm going to read a few verses here first kings chapter 3 and verse number 4 again as i was praying for you this past week and seeking god about your blessing your prosperity your financial well-being again it is important that the people of god know and understand that god is concerned with every aspect of your and my life jesus taught very clearly we'll speak to it perhaps in just a moment that your father knows the things you have need of come on say amen to this the bible declares that god through christ jesus has given to us all things that pertain to life and come on where am i where where i'm where am i where are my ten bible readers let me see where you are that that god has given us all things that pertain to and see part of the disconnect of the church for too many years is we were talking to people only about what pertains to godliness and not about what pertains to life and so we gave people the impression that we have a god who is only concerned with your spiritual well-being and getting to heaven and not concerned with you having what you need on the earth come on say amen but the scripture is clear concerning this and god through his word gives us instruction now as i was praying for you this past week the spirit of the lord said i want you to go and look at the offering of solomon i said lord i've read this he said yeah but go and look at i want to show you something now just follow with me here i'm not going to get into uh all the nuance but there's something here that escapes the casual reader and and the spirit of the lord showed me something here watch this it says now the king i'm in verse 4 first kings chapter 3. now the king went to gibeon to sacrifice there for that was the great high place solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar somebody say a thousand burnt offerings now that means a thousand rams bulls whatever were slain and offered on the altar are you still here so you know we read this stuff and we read by it like oh that's nice no no that was a major sacrifice that was about five thousand stakes come on same hand to this it was with some beef stew and you know in other words these were things that could have been utilized it could have been sold are you still here but he gave it to the lord now watch this he says he offered a thousand word offerings on an altar at gibeon the lord appeared to solomon in a dream by night and i want you to get it he offers and the lord appears don't miss it he lifts something to god and god shows up don't let anybody tell you that god does not respond to the sower and the giver the very fact that the word of god declares to you that solomon offered and the lord appeared to him is evidence that god will show up in circumstances and situations to men and women who have learned to honor him watch this it says at gibeon the lord appeared to solomon in a dream by night and and god said ask what shall i give you do you see that do you see that solomon gives and god says okay you've got my attention what shall i give you look at verse number six and solomon said you have shown great mercy to your servant david my father because he walked before you in truth in righteousness in the uprightness of his heart you have continued this great kindness for him and you have given him a son to sit on his own don't miss that solomon recognizes that he is in position partially because of what his father did no you're not listening he recognizes i am not where i am just by myself that you have postured and positioned me come on say amen to this watch this you have continued this great kindness and you've given him a son to send his throne as it is this day verse seven now oh lord my god you have made your servant king instead of or literally after my father but i am a little child meaning i'm a young man i do not know how to go out or come in and your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen a great people too numerous to be numbered or counted therefore give to your servant an understanding heart to judge your people that i may discern between good and evil for who is able to judge this great people of yours let me just stop right here let me say to every man or woman of god who's called of god the first aspect of your responsibility is to minister to god's people if you take care of ministering to god's people if you put if you make sure you do what is required to have a word for god's people he will see to it that you lack nothing you have need of i'm going on watch this give me an understanding heart to judge your people that i may discern between good and evil for who is able to judge this great people of yours look at verse 10 the speech pleased the lord that solomon had asked this thing and god said to him now watch this because you have asked this thing and have not asked long life for yourself nor have you asked for riches for yourself nor have you asked the life of your enemies in other words you haven't asked me to kill folks who don't like you watch it but you have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice behold i have done according to your words see i have given you a wise and understanding heart so that there is none so that there has not been anyone like you before oh god [Music] nor shall anyone like you rise after me i want you just to lift your hand and say there's nobody like me no no say there'll never be another one like me there hasn't been one like me before me and there shall not be another like me after me see some of you are not raising your hands because you think that's arrogance no no no no no no that's the truth watch it now i have given you a wise and understand so there's not been anyone like you before nor shall anyone arise after you look at verse 13 and i have also given you what you have not asked [Music] see and i've also given you what you have not asked both riches and honor so that there shall not be anyone like you among all the kings all of your days are you still here now i was reading this and the spirit of the lord said he said son pay attention that is matthew 6 33 in a nutshell he said that's exactly what i told you go to matthew 6 30 he says but seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things in other words god said solomon not only am i going to give you what you asked for now why is god pleased because what solomon asked for was that which would help him to advance god's kingdom and god's purpose in the earth you say well i'm not a king but wherever you are if you're a child of god your first endeavor is to advance the kingdom and that doesn't mean you need to preach to everybody or quote scripture to everybody it means that where you are you need to understand that you are not where you are because some man put you there you are where you are because you have been placed there by god to be promoted from there no you didn't get what i just said so you were not placed anywhere to stay and i'm not talking about physically i'm talking about you were promoted there as a starting place for god to begin to elevate you as you honor what he tells you to do and see god's plan is that as you seek his kingdom people notice his favor on you they notice hey wait a minute he's got something she's got something favor what is it that you see you don't have to quote scripture to everybody when you are the evidence [Music] no you're not listening to me lay your hands upon yourself and say god wants to make me the evidence so because solomon has desired first to see how he from his place and his position can edify and expand the kingdom of god god grants him not only what he asked for i don't know who i'm talking to lift your hands and say i have got what i've asked for god grants him not only what i've asked for but he grants him that and much more this is the abundant life now real quickly go over there to matthew six oh just give me a moment i want to read 32 through 34. to start at 32 matthew 6 32 he says jesus had just been teaching about not worrying about stuff [Music] and he says he was just teaching don't don't worry about what you're going to eat or what you're going you know about next week oh god said something to me this morning about that was so profound he said don't worry about next week well he says for all these things the gentiles seek again gentile means one without a covenant so he says people who don't have a relationship with god they have to seek their own stuff because they got no one helping them but if you're in the kingdom he says you don't have to seek these things for your heavenly father knows that you need all these things i don't know why i'm saying this because this is basic stuff and i don't mean that condescendingly most of you know this but years ago i was reading this and it says all these things that gentile seek he says for your heavenly father knows that you need all these things and i'll never forget when i read that i was probably 20 26 27 years old and i read it and i said your heavenly father knows that you need all these things and when i read that my prayer life changed [Music] because see the tradition i was brought up in is i needed to tell god what i needed and the the idea was if i don't tell him he won't know [Music] the omniscient god the all-knowing god doesn't know what i need till i pray look at your neighbor say that is ridiculous so now watch this and i remember reading this and i remember thinking okay wait a minute god if you know what i need before i pray then i do not need to spend 50 of my prayer time telling you about my trouble you know have a little talk with jesus tell them all about if you tell them all about your trouble you are wasting your little talk with jesus because he already knows come on say amen to this so i learned that my time with god is not for me to inform him about what i need but it's for me to get instructions about how to get in position [Music] here to get what he's already given me now if you get that it'll change your prayer life so i understand okay i'm not trying to tell god what i need so he can get it to me no no i'm in prayer to get instructions because this is already mine and you already know watch it for your heavenly father knows you need these things but seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness it doesn't mean you being righteous [Music] see if we read this stuff [Music] but seek ye first the kingdom of god watch this and his righteousness not yours and see when we read that we think well i need to make sure i'm right with god no no no no if you're in christ jesus your righteousness has been found [Music] it's in him so so i'm not trying to find no seek first the kingdom of god watch this and his righteousness how he does things how he does things in relationship to what he has already finished see first again watch this and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you do you see that i'm taking longer with this than i want to do you see that now if jesus says god will add things to you then you we cannot be serving a god who doesn't want you to have things that that would be like me telling my children i will give each one of you a car but you better not drive it watch this but secrets again and all these things will be added to you now watch this therefore see once you've done what i am directing you to do don't worry about tomorrow for tomorrow we'll worry about its own things sufficient for the day is its own trouble now lay your hands upon yourself and say i will receive this today [Music] the reason that jesus tells you not to worry about tomorrow is because you don't have faith for tomorrow [Music] now what did you just say bishop mcclendon the reason jesus told you not to have not to worry about tomorrow is because you don't have faith for tomorrow faith is always is faith is always now now see what jesus said is the only the only time you have faith for is not if you start projecting too far into the future there's no faith there because you're not there yet so if you start projecting too far into the future all you'll have is anxiety because you won't have faith till you get there see you can have hope for the future but faith is always so what jesus is teaching is do now what you know to do now so give declare the word of god and your tomorrow will take care of itself why because you're gonna meet your faith you didn't hear me you sent it ahead but it's not active till you get there way maybe if you understand what i just said come on lift up both of your hands and say i am sowing into the kingdom of god my seed will meet me in my future and when my seed and i meet faith will be alive [Music] did you get that lay your hands upon yourself father i pray for every sower every giver every man or woman of god who has heard your word the tither the sower the giver god this is the way you have taught your people to position themselves to receive everything that they have need of your word declares that all things are ours that our need is already met and so we don't give in order to get our need met our giving is in worship to you for what you've already done to position ourselves to receive and to expand your kingdom you said when we give it will be given to us again good measure pressed down shaken together and running over you said shall men give in to our lives you are the source but men are your delivery system and so i declare in the name of jesus for every sower that somebody somewhere is on their way to them with exactly what they need i declare nobody under the sound of my voice lives this week only off their paycheck but every person who dares to believe your word receives from unexpected that is uh that's one of those songs that is an anthem you know what i'm saying it has no defies all time thank god for you turn with me quickly uh to john chapter five as we are continuing as we are in the month that we here at clarence eva mclennan ministries a place of grace called vision month where we are teaching and ministering on the vision of the house once again the scripture says where there is no vision the people perish one translation says where there is no redemptive revelation that people cast off restraints so vision why do we spend a month teaching on vision talking about the vision of the house because once again every ministry every man woman of god who is called of god to oversee a ministry has an assignment that they are given by the lord that assignment is given to them in the form of vision doesn't have to be a dream doesn't have to be some supernatural revelation in the sense of something spectacular it can come from scripture but there is a mandate there is something given to accomplish one of the things the lord taught me early in my ministry was that on that day when all of us shall stand before the lord god is going to measure your success not by how much money you had how many people know you how famous you are but on the fulfillment of your assignment did you do what i directed you to do and we will be rewarded according to the scripture on the basis of the fulfillment of that which we have been that which has been committed to our trust so this is the thing and again i don't want to belabor this point i've made it very clearly over the last couple of weeks but this is what distinguishes a ministry from another there are thousands of churches in this city hundreds of thousands of churches but every man or woman that is called of god i'm talking about people who are called of god and sent by god i'm not talking about people who get into ministry for visibility for for you know whatever you know but those who are called of god there is an assignment given to them and so we deal with vision month because this is a part of our assignment and one of the ways you know whether you're in and connected to the right anointings and the right people is if that assignment uh is commensurate and speaks to you so john chapter 5 is as i've said for the last couple of weeks it's where the vision for this ministry came to me as god began to speak to me from this chapter about the church the ministry that i was to oversee and the name place of grace actually comes from here as we have said before i will read beginning at verse number one but i'm going to read quickly because i don't want to get stuck up here because i've been stuck up here two weeks there's so much in this to preach there's so much in this to preach that it's easy to get stuck and so you know it's very interesting you know let me give just a little insight see those of us who minister the word of god we have things that we are responsible uh to get to the people of god you understand and so god feeds us so we can feed you again it's not our job to hear god for you but it's our job to hear god as relates to what he wants you to be instructed so that you can listen to him for yourself as you hear his word wait if you understand but then we are evaluated uh you know weekly by the spirit of god as to what we got to do so for instance last week i preached you know and i thought i did pretty well you know i mean i thought it was a pretty good message i got to it you know here there that i i got there i got in prayer and the lord was like now you didn't tell them this or this or this which i told you to tell them you got a little emotional preaching [Applause] and and he said to me but the people need this information so go back and make sure you get it to him and you know i'm an employee i i work for him so i'm i'm on my job today okay so stay with me so i'm going to read i'm going to read through this and get to the point that i'm supposed to get to yea i say unto thee today okay what john chapter five verse number one it says after this there was a feast of the jews and jesus went up to jerusalem now there is in jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool which is in the hebrew bethesda and again bethesda means place of grace or house of grace or house of outpouring meaning the name of the place was indicative of god's purpose for the place it was ordained to be a place where the grace of god again grace the he the greek word is charisma which means the undeserved favor and the enabling power grace is favor you don't merit it is favor you don't deserve and it is ability that is beyond your natural ability so the grace of god gives you is designed to give you favor that your performance doesn't merit you it's beyond what you can perform to get you got it and then to enable you to give you ability beyond the natural which is why it is called super natural it's beyond natural ability are you still here so this was what was designed to be happening at that place it had five portions we talked about that in these lay a great multitude of sick people blind lame paralyzed waiting for the moving of the water for an angel went down at a certain diameter in the pool and stirred up the water and whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was made well of whatever disease he had that's where we get the phrase a place where whoever can be healed of whatever because the ordination for the place was no matter what you were sick with if you got here you could get well from it no matter who you were and that is what this ministry this house is designed to be a place where no matter what is bothering you physical financial emotional circumstantial situational psychological jesus heals them all somebody say amen to that but but what the spirit of the lord showed me some years ago is that this place that was designed to be a place of grace a place of where people could get favor they don't deserve which is what the church of the lord jesus is supposed to be had become a place where you had to be best brightest or first in order to get it so the bible says here that whoever stepped in first was made well of whatever disease he had and the spirit of the lord said to me he said son that is what was happening at the place but that was not my intention for the place i named it the place of grace the the place of outpouring so that anybody who got there could get the favor they deserve without earning it but what happened is the people who were keeping the place and see this is what happens i will not get stuck here but what happens is a legend begins to develop around the place people's experiences become the doctrine of the place instead of god's word and that's what has happened in much of the church people's experiences have become the doctrine instead of the word of god and so people are telling you what this is what happened to me this is what happened to me and this but god won't do that for you because he didn't do it for me well maybe you don't know god well enough to get it done for you wait maybe you understand i i i tell the the story of the woman you know an example the woman who was trying to receive the infilling of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues and she had come to church week after week after week after week wanting to receive the infilling of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and her tradition was well you know you need to tarry and you need to wait you need to do this and do that and she came week after week after week after week came to the altar prayer for praying for being filled with the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and she did never received it and then one day after church she went home and she was about to serve chicken dinner to the family she went to the stove and she looked inside the stove to get the chicken out and suddenly she began rosandere speaking in other tongues she went back to church the next sunday and say i got it i got the secret if you want to be filled with the holy ghost stick your head in your oven at your house and you will be filled [Applause] with the holy ghost so now you got a whole bunch of people sticking their hands in their ovens watch because that was her experience but that ain't the way it happened see the word of god tells you how it happened so just because you have an experience doesn't mean that is god's word or will for the issue wave at me if you understand but what has happened in the church people have preached their experience their tradition or their encounter with god as the way you are to do it instead of looking at what the word says and doing it god's way wave at me if you understand what i just said all right so so this is what had happened at this place the legend had become whoever steps in first and so literally what happened is if you got in first you got healed and nobody else would get in because that was the legend or the tradition and this man that jesus encounters remember had been there 38 years look at verse 5. now a certain man was there who had an infirmity 38 years and when jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been in that condition a long time he said to him do you want to be made well the sick man answered sir i have no man to put me in the pool when the water is stirred but while i am coming another steps down before me so watch this see this this mental situation this legend this understanding of the people everybody say the understanding of the people see what the people understood had now created a situation where this man says i've been here 38 years and every time i get ready to step into the pool somebody knocks me out of the way so they can get there first because the idea is i got to be first and in an atmosphere where you have to be first best brightest most intelligent you can never actually be honest [Applause] in an environment where you have to be the first one to get it you can never actually tell anybody else what you're dealing with because if they know what you're dealing with they'll knock you out of the way to get theirs because you don't qualify so this place that was supposed to be a place where you get favor you don't deserve had become a place where unless you earn it you don't get it and that is where the church has been for too long and the emphasis that has now come into the body of christ on the grace of god the undeserved favor of god is to bring the thing back into balance wait if you understand what i just said now this man encounters the grace of god in the person of jesus christ remember john chapter 1 says to us the law was given to us by moses but grace and truth came through jesus christ and some time ago when i was reading that the spirit of the lord said to me he said son pay attention whenever you see jesus come into a situation grace and truth has just entered the situation wherever you see jesus walk in grace and truth has just come in therefore whatever you see jesus do is what grace and truth will do great ah pay attention so grace and truth heals a man in a moment who couldn't get healed in 38 years in tradition religion and legend wave at me if you heard what the preacher just said heals in a moment [Applause] hallelujah what could not be rectified or made right in 38 years got made right in a moment with an encounter with grace and truth and so this is what we believe that if we can create an atmosphere here where people actually encounter grace and truth and not judgment and criticism and tradition and religion and and all that stuff that people can actually get well which is what god is after and which is what jesus died and was resurrected for and if you agree with that say amen so watch this the sick man answers this and verse 8 jesus said to him rise take up your bed and walk verse 9 says and immediately somebody say immediately i love it immediately when he responds to grace and truth what couldn't happen in 38 years happens to him now this is where we uh were and i've got a few minutes here i'm going to use them wisely and the bible says immediately the man was made well took up his bed and walked so he has encountered grace and truth now he takes up his bed and walks and we mentioned before that so many preachers and teachers have taught in this area that the man carrying his bed was connected to his healing but that's not what the bible says the bible says he was healed immediately so carrying his bed had nothing to do with his being made well come on say amen he was made well immediately when he picked it up the bible says so then what is this carrying the bed about well now we begin to see it says immediately the man was made well took up his bed and walked and that day was the sabbath everybody say sabbath now what is the sabbath the sabbath in the hebrew tradition in the mosaic law was the day of rest or shabbat it was commemorative of the day that god rested from all his work are you still here and so god institutes in the law of moses a sabbath day a day of rest and uh the sabbath was misconstrued under the law of moses so the bible says here that the man is carrying his bed and walking and it's the sabbath look at verse 10 the jews therefore said to him who was cured it is the sabbath it is not lawful for you to carry your bed so no sooner has the man encountered grace and truth and now he is walking in grace and truth he encounters religious people who are under the law under tradition under religion and they are telling him you can't walk this way if you're going to walk with god because you're breaking the religious law and tradition so now we see why jesus told him to carry the bed it wasn't for him to be healed it was because in order to walk in grace and truth you have to be prepared to continue in grace and truth even when you are confronted by religion and tradition and legalism so hear what the man says he he he they say it's not lawful for you to carry your bed and the man says well listen i really don't know what you're talking about because i don't know you okay but the man who healed me that guy told me to walk so what does he say he said here's what i'm gonna do i'm gonna walk in the word of the man who healed me instead of your word i'm gonna walk in the word of the man who restored me after 38 years instead of trying to fit into your religious clique into your denomination your reformation instead of trying to fit into your little religious circle i'm gonna walk in the word of the man who healed me now the interesting thing is here and we won't get to this today that i uh that this man doesn't even know who jesus is at that moment we'll talk about that next week can't get to that today so what are we looking at now we're looking at a man who is continuing in the grace of god and this is one of the admonitions of scripture once you have encountered the grace of god once you have encountered grace and truth the the scripture says you have to contend for it and you have to continue in it go to acts chapter 13 verse number 42. go there very quickly i've got to hurry acts chapter 13 and verse number 42 when you're there say i am acts chapter 13 and verse number 42. and if you're not there it's on the screen behind me acts chapter 13 verse number 42. now watch this it says so when the jews went out of the synagogue the gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath let me just stop right here paul is in antioch of pisidia he has just preached one of the most profound gospel messages that you will ever hear you should read the whole thing when you get a chance it's very short but he goes all the way from egypt to jesus and talks about how god worked this plan of salvation all the way from abraham to egypt to jesus he does it in a few verses i wish i had his anointing but anyway uh uh he does it in a few verses and and then he gets to this place now when he does this there are jews and again jews are under the law of moses and there are gentiles that are listening to him gentiles have no covenant with god at all when he preaches this about jesus the literally he causes a riot the jews want to kill him and the gentiles say can we come back next week and hear some more of this and that's basically what happens here okay i condit now in verse 22 says so when the jews went out of the synagogue the gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath now when the congregation had broken up many of the jews and devout prosecute so there were some jews in the synagogue who when they heard paul they followed him in barnabas because they heard something that registered with their spirit ah they were allah they were in this religion they were in this tradition that nobody can keep [Applause] oh i don't have time to get into that but if i had the time i would tell you that the bible teaches that god gave man the law and the commandments not so man could keep them if you read your bible the fact of the matter is god gave man the law and the commandments so that man could realize that he could not keep them that no effort of his own could bring him to the level of perfection where he could keep them so that when he sent jesus to fulfill the whole law that men would opt to serve jesus instead of trying to stay in this performance-based religion that's what the bible teaches [Applause] are you still here i said are you still here okay so so so this is what is happening here so there are some devout jews and proselytes proselytes are people who are not yet jewish but they are in training to become jews even in maturity are you still here now when the congregation had broken up many of the jews and about prosecutes followed paul and barnabas who speaking to them persuaded them to continue in the grace of god in other words he had preached grace to them he had preached the undeserved favor of god to them he he had preached to them that all of these do's and don'ts that you have heard all your life have been fulfilled in christ jesus [Music] that's right hey and that if you accept him he has fulfilled all the do's and don'ts for you so that you are now released from trying to fulfill all the do's and don'ts and if you just follow him and walk in his word you will actually fulfill that without even trying to [Applause] are you still here but that's what he preached continue in the grace of god and it says on the next sabbath almost the whole city came to hear the word of god you know why because when you start preaching freedom to people they actually want to hear that okay i don't have time to go into that either all right all right so so so now watch this i want you to go very quickly to the book go to ephesians chapter two i need to see because when you when you i need to get a little practical and doctrinal here because when you begin to hear the preaching and the teaching of the word of god concerning the grace of god well let me let me let me do something before i do that there's so much here um let me do something before i do that uh go where do i want to go go to [Music] no i don't want to go there i'm trying to cut out some stuff here because because the clock is ticking go to acts chapter 20 verse 32. i'm going to ephesians 2 in just a moment so keep it there but i want the people to see this because remember the man who was confronted with carrying his bed he's been healed he's confronted he's carrying his bed jesus told him rise take up your bed and walk the religious people say hey it's the sabbath it's a day of rest you can't do that it's illegal you're breaking a religious tradition and he says the man who healed me told me to do this so what he is doing is he is walking in the word of the man who healed him now the man who healed him is jesus but he is grace and truth so if you are walking in the word of jesus then you are walking in the word of grace [Applause] and the word of so you're walking in grace and truth so basically he is said the man is saying i am going to choose to walk in grace and truth rather than your tradition now watch this acts chapter 20 verse number 32 paul says so now brethren i commend you to god and to the word of his grace everybody say the word of his grace said again the word of his grace said again the word of his grace so it is the word of undeserved favor [Music] it is the word of enabling power stay with me it's the word of his grace grace is undeserved favor and enabling power so the more of the word i know the more undeserved favor i will walk in [Music] [Applause] oh oh that ought to do something to the inside of you but the the more of the word i know ah the more i will walk in favor i don't deserve and see the more of the word of you know then people start looking you and they think you know you're what is he what is she doing how did she get that how did he get that i know he's not perfect we both know it that's not why i'm receiving i'm receiving because i'm walking in the word of his grace i never told you i was perfect and guess what i've stopped trying to be now wait a minute see that doesn't mean i'm satisfied with what i am but i am released from the performance oh [Applause] oh oh once you get released from the performance on children once you get released from the performance and you realize i don't have to please you you you you or you and no matter what opinion you have of me you can't stop me from getting anything going anywhere doing anything god tells me to do oh you don't like me so oh it's not going to stop anything why because i'm walking in the word of his undeserved favor [Applause] see my job is to weakly encourage you that you're about to get stuff you didn't earn it's to regularly tell you that this week is going to be better than you deserve it is to regularly remind you [Applause] hallelujah [Applause] oh let me stay with it let me stay with it and you know what as the lord began to show this if you know one of the things i realized that that one of the reasons that jesus was empowered to do what he did is not only because he was grace and truth in the embodiment but the father ministered grace to him [Applause] bishop how do you say you remember you remember see stay with me you remember when jesus is baptized of john in river jordan he has he has done no ministry work none his ministry has not begun he is baptized of john in the river jordan remember what happens the heavens open a dove descends and a voice comes out of heaven and says this is my beloved in whom i am well he hasn't done anything no no no no no you missed it he he hadn't done anything yet he he he hadn't done anything yet he hasn't even begun his ministry but he begins knowing that his father is pleased and when you know your father is pleased it empowers you to do things [Music] so before anybody could tell him he was disqualified before anybody could tell him he didn't earn it before anybody could tell him he couldn't do it he have this assurance dad is pleased with me dad is plea my father is pleased [Music] [Applause] [Music] the lord said to me he said son of you can wake up every morning understanding i'm pleased with you before you ever do anything before you ever make a move i'm pleased why because jesus pleased him for me [Music] stay with me stay with me now see i can i can hear it i hear it already i hear it again so i can hear it but what goodness if that's the truth then we can just live any kind of way we want no no no no no no no no no see when you get that truth you can't live anywhere you want when you know what jesus has done for you and you know no matter how much you blow it how much you fail how much you mess up he is still being gracious you don't want to live any kind of way you want to live a life that is a worship it's a life of appreciation that says thank you for doing this for me [Applause] oh [Applause] but see this is the difference if you keep preaching to people you can't do this you can't do that you can't do this you can't do that you can't do this what you're actually doing is empowering the very spirit you're empowering the very spirit that makes them do what you're telling them they can't do that's what the bible teaches the bible says the strength of sin is the law the law is what gives sin its strength [Applause] i'm in stuff again [Applause] are you still here do i need to show that to you so you know what's in the bible could you okay thank you uh if you can there it is the sting of death is it and the strength of sin is the law the more you tell people what they cannot do the more you empower the spirit that causes them to do it and what you don't understand is you're dealing with an ontological issue which is that god gave to man dominion he spoke dominion into him so the moment you tell a man he cannot do it he wants to dominate what you told him he cannot do i [Applause] [Music] which is if you read your bible carefully which is the very deception that satan used against eve because if you read what god told them god said of every tree you may freely eat when the enemy comes to them he says did god tell you you couldn't no you didn't get it see god had told them what they could do of every tree of the garden you may freely eat when satan comes he says did god tell you you couldn't do you see that you see that you see the deception god was empowering them with what they could do and the enemy came to them with what they couldn't do i don't have time to get into that oh god acts acts chapter 14 verse number three i just want you to see this acts chapter 14 verse number three and then i can start preaching because now the foundation has been laid are you still here oh okay i i got to get this out today action look at verse number three says therefore they stayed there a long time speaking boldly in the lord who was bearing witness to the word of his grace granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands so watch this god bears witness to the word of his grace if you will walk in the word of his grace he will bear witness to it the word witness there is the greek word marturion from which we get the english word martyr which means one who is able to produce evidence in other words it says god provided the evidence to the people who were walking in the word of his grace if you walk in the word of his grace he'll provide the evidence he'll manifest the evidence see if you say i am the righteousness of god not because you feel righteous but because you know christ jesus has purchased righteousness for you god says i will manifest the evidence that you're the righteous of god you don't have to prove it i'll do it he says if you say you're healed in the face of the doctor's report god says i'll produce the evidence [Applause] but the enemy's problem the enemies the enemy's responsibility is to convince you you don't deserve it oh no you don't deserve to be healed you don't deserve it don't you know that people who live like you live don't get healed don't you know that people who do what you're struggling with don't get blessed talk to the woman caught in the act of adultery tell her that mess [Music] talk to peter who's a cousin [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] peter is anger management requiring [Applause] [Music] [Applause] peter cut off a man's ear just for reaching for jesus he was reachin 50 days later he's preaching [Applause] on the day of pentecost about 53 days later he's preaching i love it go to go so so so watch this now it's the word of his grace everybody say the word of his grace say if i am walking in the word i am walking in the word of undeserved favor and god will produce the evidence boy that's good isn't that good now now let me let me go go to ephesians chapter two i have time to get to this go to ephesians chapter two because i wanna make i wanna make something clear here and and this is foundational in what you and i are called to do and be and those of you that are watching me live streaming if you're connected to this anointing it's as important for you and and as i say this i am not attempting to refute or dismantle anyone else's teaching or instruction i am only pointing you to what the word of god says so that you and i will know what our adversary or our enemy actually is up to and we are not fighting erroneous phantom enemies because one of the things that you will hear oh god help me one thing you will hear especially when men and women preach on grace and who are who emphasize the message of the grace of god you constantly hear this juxtaposition contrast or comparison between the law and grace and you hear that we're not under the law we're under grace and and i understand that because they are preaching from the contrast that is given in the word of god because the people who were being preached to were jews and they were under the law so the dialogue the biblical dialogue that contrasts law and grace being under the law of moses and the grace of god the biblical contrast there is accurate but that is really not the battle that the new creation believer is fighting we are not fighting the battle between law and grace because according to the scriptures you and i who are gentiles were never under the law [Applause] [Music] let me show it to you ephesians chapter 2 ephesians chapter 2 verse 11. now hear what i said i understand why it's being taught that way but i i want to go a little deeper based on the word of god and i can't help what the lord shows me i mean i can read so also watch so look at verse number 11 of ephesians chapter 2 when you're there say i am it says therefore remember that you once gentiles in the flesh so he's talking to people who have come to christ he says once gentiles he's talking to people who have come to christ who have come to christ who were never jewish remember the first christians were jews who came to christ all the apostles were jews jesus was a jew and until acts chapter 10 the jewish apostles weren't even certain they were supposed to preach the gospel to people who weren't jews that's why peter has that vision that takes him to cornelius's house are you there and then paul who is a jew becomes the apostle to the gentiles to non-jewish people are y'all here because the other apostles were primarily focused on preaching the good news to jewish people who were under the law therefore most of the dialogue in scripture about the grace of god is a contrast of the grace of god that comes through jesus christ as opposed to the law that came through moses but here it says remember that you you that have come to christ who were not jews you were gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision made in the flesh by hand so see the jews were called the circumcision and the non-jews were called the uncircumcision because circumcision was the seal of the covenant god gave to abraham you're told that in romans chapter 4 that god gave to abraham the seal the sign of circumcision are you still here so ah so you who were who were the unsuccumbed by what is called the circumstance made in the flesh by hands that at that time at what time before you came to christ before you came into the covenant you were without christ being aliens from the commonwealth of israel and strangers to the covenants of promise so you were an alien to the commonwealth of israel and you were a stranger to the covenant of promise the law was under the covenant that god made to abraham so you were an alien and a stranger from that you were never under the law that's right amen wait maybe you understand you never were now the problem here is that because the gospel has been preached too often by men and women who do not understand fully the grace of god they have preached to us a mixture [Applause] of what the jews had to do and what we have been given in christ jesus and therefore we have produced many generations of schizophrenic spiritually schizophrenic or what the bible calls double-minded dips sukhos in greek meaning two minds so today i'm saved and tomorrow i'm not and if i don't do this then i'm not sure and maybe i am and maybe i'm not and god through emphasizing the message of the grace of god in jesus christ is saying enough of that know who you are know what i've done for you ah let me let me let me are you seeing this so this is why paul this is why paul go to galatians chapter five go to galatians chapter five verse number one are you tracking me here galatians chapter 5 oh goodness and verse number one man there's so much here uh galatians chapter five and verse 1 now watch this watch what paul writes he says stand fast therefore in the liberty by which christ has made you free now that liberty is the grace of god it it's it's the finished work of jesus that has delivered you and i from not the law but from the perf it delivered the jews from the law what you and i have been delivered from is uh the christian incarnation of the law which is a performance based religion a religion that is based on your performance where if you do not perform properly you are somehow rejected by god where if you don't dot every eye and cross every t exactly as scripture says you are alienated from the goodness of god and cut off from the favor of god and what paul is saying is that is a lie if you are washed in the blood of jesus and you are continuing to trust in jesus and not your performance for your acceptance by god you are accepted no matter what religion no matter what tradition no matter what legalist tells you you're not the word of his grace says you are so watch what paul says that watch what he says and put it in this contest he says stand fast in other words he's saying you're going to have to contend for this because just like that man walking with his bed the moment you start walking in freedom somebody's going to come and tell you you're not doing it right you can't do it that way that's not the right way your skirt's too short your hair's too loud [Music] watch it stand fast therefore in the liberty by which christ has made you free well what is that that is the fact that he finished the work on your behalf took the old covenant out of the way and fully pleased the father by the sacrifice of himself for clarence's sins are you there stand fast therefore in the liberty oh god with which christ has made you free and do not be entangled again [Applause] do not be entangled again now does that sound like something god does for you or something you do is that something you have to resist are you still here i said are you still here watch this and do not be entangled again with the yoke of body but watch it indeed i paul say to you that if you become circumcised now what's he talking about you got to understand the the warfare he's dealing with in his day people are coming to christ from his preaching people who are non-jews are coming to christ through paul's preaching as they come to christ there are jewish people who have also come to christ but they were under the law and they are telling the people who have come to christ who are not under the law well yeah i mean this this gospel of jesus thing is good blocked you got to be circumcised that christ has suffered died and raised again to give you is not going to benefit you watch this verse 3. and i did you hear that now what did you just say he said if you allow yourself to be brought back under that the anointing will not work for you as it should the anointing no no you the anointing christ means the anointed one in his anointing if you allow yourself to be duped back into thinking your performance is what causes god to bless you the anointing will not be working for you as it ought to the anointing is supposed to be working for you [Applause] somebody got it back in the back stay with me watch watch verse 3 i'm almost done and i testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law in other words if you're going to bring have become estranged from the anointing you who are attempting to be justified by your own performance if you're trying to be acceptable by god to god by your own performance you are becoming estranged from the anointed one and what he did for you and you are becoming estranged from the anointing that is supposed to be working for you getting stuff for you that you can't get for yourself do you understand why the enemy wants you and i to stay under that yoke because there are things that should be working for you while you're asleep that won't work for you if you think you got to do it there are things that are supposed to be coming to you oh i don't have time [Music] there are things that are supposed to be coming to you while you're at rest [Music] [Applause] god while you're women of faith die early because they're wearing themselves out trying to please god with when ranked sinners are living into their 70s and 80s drinking and partying and smoking and doing crack and walking in such peace such rest such prosperity such wealth [Applause] that worldly this is why worldly people are getting ticked off because they're fighting and striving and hustling and you're at rest [Applause] [Music] that's why all these you know these commentators and comedians and people with microphones talking about preachers who are blessed and prospered because we're doing it at rest and you're hustling and you and you don't like us i don't care if you don't like me or not i'll let you lease my jet i'm not scared of you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] see somebody said how many gifts does he have [Applause] it's not your business [Applause] [Music] now see some of you want to hear me say i don't have one but if i said i don't have one i'd be violating the word of his grace grace [Applause] wow well that's what it means to fall from grace see we we the people fell from grace when they sinned all right you would hear something happen to a preacher you know and they they lose their ministry and they say they have fallen from grace no no they have it no that's not how you fall from grace you fall from gra actually they actually fell into grace [Applause] and because of a judgmental critical immature church we killed them instead of restoring them [Applause] [Music] [Applause] see to fall from grace is not to commit an act that causes you to not measure up to the finished work of christ to fall from grace according to the scripture is to attempt to get by your own performance what god has already given you through the finished work of christ jesus [Music] i mean that's the bible definition in context the bible definition of falling from grace is trying to be accepted by your performance instead of what jesus has done on your behalf [Applause] do you see it now this word i've given you two evidences is called the word of his grace go to hebrews chapter 4. and i saw this as i was meditating in the last couple of weeks don't don't don't don't start yet i saw this as i was meditating in the last couple of weeks that it's interesting in john chapter 5 and i saw i saw something i'd never seen before it's interesting in john chapter 5 jesus heals that man and tells him to carry his bed on he gives him a word which is the word of his talk to me which is the word of his and he tells him to walk in the word of his on the sabbath the legalists the religionists who are trying to be accepted by their performance tell the man who's walking in the word of grace carrying his bed you're violating the sabbath watch hebrews chapter four verse number one watch this therefore since a promise remains of entering his rest let us fear lest any of you seem to come short of it for indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them but the word which they heard did not profit them not being mixed with faith in them who heard it no watches for we who have believed do enter that rest as he said so i swore in my wrath they shall not enter my rest he's quoting psalm 95 although the works were finished from the foundation of the works were finished from the foundation well for he has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way and god rested on the seventh day from all his works god rested on the seventh day from all his works god rested on the seventh day from all his works so god's rest is doing no more of his works stay with me so i swore in my wrath they shall not enter my rest although the works are finished on the national world and he has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way and god rested on the seventh day from all his works and again in this place they shall not enter my rest since therefore it remains that some must enter it and those to whom it was first preached did not enter it because of disobedience again he designates a certain day saying to date saying david today after such a long time as it has been said today if you will hear his voice do not hurt your hearts for if yeshua that is joshua of the old covenant had given them rest he would not afterward have spoken of another day now look at verse 9 there remains there for a rest for the people of god for he who has entered his rest that is god's has himself also ceased from his works ah as god did from his so god ceased from his works and to enter his rest you have to cease from your works like he did from his works and that's how you enter his rest [Music] so so watch this i'm actually at rest when i have stopped doing what i think [Music] makes me acceptable and only do what he says because what he says is the word of his grace are you still here almost there watch for he has entered his rest has also himself ceased from his own works as god whom his let us there therefore be diligent to enter that rest lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience look at verse 12 for the word you missed it for the word let us enter his rest for the word so when you walk in his word you have entered his rest [Applause] you are at rest when you are walking in his word when you are believing what he has said you are at rest so watch it the man who is carrying the bed is actually the one at rest right no no you did you didn't get you didn't you the one who is carrying the bed is the one who is actually observing the sabbath [Applause] and the rest of the religious people who are trying to be accepted by god on their performance they are not at rest he is the only one who is keeping the sabbath [Music] [Music] do you see it lay your hands upon yourself profound do you see it lay your hands upon yourself [Music] if i had the time i would take you to the book of kings it's also told in chronicles lay your hands upon yourself where the bible says that it entered into david's heart to build a house for god and god appeared to david and said it was good that it was in your heart to do it but you're you can't do it he said your son solomon is going to do it here's what god says to david he says the reason you can't do it is because you have been a man of war a man of battle a man of struggle he said but solomon your son is going to be a man of rest the revelation is the house of god can only be built in rest [Music] it can't be built by people who are struggling trying to perform [Music] trying to earn the goodness of god lay your hands upon yourself and this is why so many christians [Music] never actually mature because see now you are the house of god you are the temple of god and the temple can only be built in rest [Music] healing will only manifest while you're in rest prosperity comes while you're at rest and rest is not inactivity it's believing what he has said it's not trying to be righteous it's believing he has made you righteous it's not trying to be holy it's knowing he has made you holy [Music] are you there well lay your hands upon yourself because there are some things that are going to happen for you while you're at rest there are some things that are going to occur for you while you are walking in the word of his grace what is it that he said to you what did he tell you religion tradition people will tell you do this you got to do this gotta do that can't do that god do this what did he say what has he declared [Music] is already yours you see this is why you and i need the word of god it's to keep us at rest now you understand jesus said come unto me [Music] all you that [Music] and uh and i will give you uh he said take my yoke look at it get it come here come here take my yoke the greek word there is he says only consider yourself yoked to me do not ever consider yourself before god by yourself because you are never by yourself before god you are always yoked to me in god's eye so every time he looks at you he looks at you through me [Music] he said your problem is you are considering yourself before me and you are not considering who you're yoked to you see yourself as trying to get it done you don't see that you are yoked to the one who's already finished it somebody's gonna see this you think i'm responding to you based on your performance alone and i'm responding to you based on what jesus has already done for you [Music] oh [Music] i'll never forget i was reading in the book of exodus exodus 12 13 when the children of israel are crossing through the red sea and pharaoh's army is chasing them and the bible says that god looked down at the children of israel through the pillar of a cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night which was a manifestation of the presence of god with them in other words god was saying i am not looking at you yourself i'm looking at you through the presence of jesus are you there god is never looking at you alone [Music] if you're a believer he's looking at you through the finished work of jesus and jesus has already pleased the father [Music] lay your hands upon yourself i am done father [Music] lord i thank you for your word and for its power i thank you lord for every person who has heard your word and who has received it lord you have called this [Music] ministry into existence to declare this message [Music] that the finished work of jesus has made a place of grace available for every man woman boy and girl that it is not our performance that makes us acceptable to you but it is the fact that jesus took our sin our sickness our disease paid in full [Music] and that his resurrection [Music] is our evidence that his sacrifice was accepted lord you said to me some years ago that every morning when i wake up i wake up to a satisfied father and i wake up to a seated high priest jesus is seated at your right hand according to scripture because his work is finished and there need be no more sacrifice for sins every man woman boy and girl is already accepted by the father but in order for that acceptance to be activated in their lives it is receiving the finished work of jesus you said in acts 13 and 39 that all who believe on jesus are justified from all things for which we could not be justified by the law of moses or by our own performance and so in the name of jesus i pray that not one person under the sound of my voice will ever fall from grace that every man woman boy and girl in the sound of my voice will understand that nothing that you or i can do is what makes us acceptable to god but it is what jesus has already done and when you believe on him the work is finished the sin debt is settled the acceptance by god is yours and now the spirit of god comes in and begins to empower to help you and i to walk in worship and praise to this god who has done so much for us in the name of jesus of nazareth i pray that every bondage every shackle every element of tradition and religion would be broken off of your life every chain that would bind you and that the revelation of the finished work of jesus on your behalf would be yours in the place of grace if you receive that word and if you're thankful to god for his word if you believe what the scripture has said i want you to lift your hands right now and i just want you to begin to thank god just begin to thank him out of your own mouth if you've received it just begin to thank him just begin to worship him as a matter of fact there are some of you you need to open your mouth now and just begin to worship and praise in the spirit in the name of jesus in my spirit at the beginning of the month and last week i said nothing about it and the holy spirit reminded me there's something connected to those of you that are part of this vision a part of this house those of you that are receiving it whether you're here locally around the world there's something connected to you and i walking into something in this season now once again what you give there's no magic in the number i'm not telling you give this a mountain god no no no but the scripture teaches us that when we worship god and do what he has directed us as i shared with you earlier god appeared to solomon when he offered a certain seed of worship there's something that the holy spirit has revealed to me he's going to be doing in lives of men and women connected to this vision and this anointing and who are a part of helping this message reach the church and the world and i'm not the only one preaching it but there aren't enough of us yet and god is raising up more they're pastors and preachers they're sons and daughters there are men and women who are watching me around the world and what i preached to you today was confirmation to you some of you you've been hearing this but you haven't had enough uh fortification yet to preach it you're wondering am i hearing from god is this right and now you're hearing it and the spirit of god is telling you you got to preach this some of you god has been revealing some of these things too and you've been saying lord if i preach this they'll run me out of church let them run you out you'll get a bigger one [Music] if they run you out there are people who'll be running after you because people want the truth they want the liberty that comes in the finished work of jesus if that is you if that's you i want you to if causes the life of that word to continually reproduce in your life no compulsion no coercion but for those of you that have heard this word and you know the spirit of god is dealing with you to sow this cup we are taking in that new covenant and as i've said with you many times when you drink the cup you move to the other side of the situation you receive the new whatever that is in your situation so i want you to lift the cup and say lord i received [Music] and i receive not based on my performance but trusting in what jesus has done and you have declared is mine let's all drink
