COMPLETE YELAN GUIDE! Best Yelan Build - Artifacts, Weapons, Teams & Showcase | Genshin Impact

hey what's up guys welcome to my complete elan guide in today's video we're going to be covering everything you need to know about the newest character in gantry impact covering her best builds so weapons artifacts teams constellations as well as also covering more advanced information like whether or not i believe you should pull for her and including a showcase of my c0ylan at the end of the video on top of that i do get to release this guide earlier than usual as i did have early access to yalan on a media server allowing me to play her before she came out on top of more testing that i did once she did release on the live servers to make sure that everything is accurate and so in this video i have a lot to talk about so that you guys can really make the most out of your yulon before we begin i do want you guys to know that i do stream most nights on twitch also a special thanks and shout out to the destiny 7 for the weapon ranking in this video and with all that out of the way let's talk about elan all right so the first thing we're going to do in this video is talk about yolon how her abilities work and how to get the most value out of her kit yolan is a character whom i absolutely love because she feels a similar role to sing chew who is already one of the strongest units in gangster impact in fact the way elon works is she has a very powerful elemental burst that will first deal a bit of hydro damage and then have this dice assisting the active character dealing constant hydro damage alongside your normal attacks in fact when you normal attack on your active character the alan's burst will deal hydro damage based on your yolon's hp this can occur once every second and obviously it works even if you swap out of her which means you can use your burst on elan and then swap to another character and proc valuable reactions like vaporize electrocharge or freeze this burst as you can see has a pretty good scaling when you consider the fact that it scales with her hp and that it is multiplied by three this burst has a 15 second duration with an 18 second cooldown meaning it only has three seconds of downtime it has an energy cost of 70 which does make your yulon need quite a lot of energy recharge but assuming you play and filter optimally you will be able to play around this now if that wasn't enough your burst will also make your active character deal a lot more damage this is because of one of her passive talents that states that when you're inside of your burst your active character will deal up to 50 percent more damage in fact it's one percent more damage at the start increasing by an additional 3.5 damage every second for a maximum of 50 percent now while this resets from one burst to another since your burst lasts for 15 seconds and since every rotation you do you're gonna use elan's burst and then swap to other characters the extra damage you're gaining on this passive talent is definitely something to consider as it is really nice for increasing your overall team's dps and just a good bonus effect for your elemental burst and i do think it's worth mentioning that this damage increase does not snapshot with any abilities and so every second that goes by you will be increasing damage up to that 50 percent on top of that your burst will also deal damage also fire those water arrows in conjunction with your elemental skill when you mark opponents in fact how your elemental skill works is that your yulon will basically move forward and apply a hydromark to enemies that will then explode and deal hydro damage when you pop out of your movement ability in fact there's two ways to use this ability you can either tap it or hold it if you tap it you'll just move very quickly mark the hydro and then it'll explode and do good damage and if you hold it it is the same thing but you can just walk around longer and mark more enemies that might be further away now in general since the scaling and cooldown of this ability are the same whether you press and hold it which usually isn't the case for most characters it typically means that just tapping it will be more efficient however holding it can be nice to move rapidly or to mark enemies that are a bit further away especially if you want to push them together while your elemental skill is not a grouping ability per se it does sort of knock enemies a little inwards so that can be something to keep in mind to utilize her kit efficiently overall though it is very straightforward you use your skill for particles and a bit of damage and then you use your burst for a really good chunk of damage as well as a good source of hydro application that you can use from off-field another quick thing to note is that yolon actually has a special charge attack that charges up when she's out of combat for five seconds in fact her next aim shot will have 80 decreased charge time and will deal aoe hydro damage based on elon's max hp it is called a breakthrough barb and can be nice for like finishing enemies or applying hydro or some relatively specific scenarios but in general isn't the most important thing it's just a nice bonus effect that can come in handy before i move on though i want to say that yolon's elemental skill also scales on hp as you can see her whole kit does so that is definitely something you need to know when building this character lastly you should know that yolon has another passive talent that will increase her own max hp and therefore her damage depending on how many elemental types your party has being anywhere from six to thirty percent for your talent priority you should really maximize your burst as this is by far the most important ability your main source of damage and then your elemental skill after and while you can level your normal attacks if you are doing this fast charge shot your breakthrough barb it isn't nearly as needed and it definitely isn't a priority now moving on before we get into jalan's best builds i do want to start by talking about her hydro application how good she is and my overall thoughts on the character and whether or not you should pull for her as she is new and these questions are going to get asked a lot the first thing you need to know about her hydra application is that it is quite good but without being as good as synchro's hydra application because of that yolan can very easily apply enough hydro for taser teams where you're capitalizing on electric charge or for freeze teams where elon is viable although not the most meta-defining option now where it gets more interesting though and more complicated is with pyro carries while she does seem to work with someone like joey miya or daluk or others that we'll talk about in the team comp section for who tau in particular i've seen a lot of conflicting takes on whether or not she works with her through my extensive testing of elan and i'm recording this clip a bit later when i've used her on n a as well it does seem like elan with hutao is definitely viable but you do need to play a specific way as you can sometimes apply too much pyro with tau to where you will no longer be vaporizing in fact you want to typically be doing a single normal attack into a charge attack instead of doing two if you do choose to play hutau and on top of that as a general statement i found yolan alone to be a bit inconsistent with tao sometimes being enough hydra for you but also sometimes making you lose out on some vapes depending on your rotation with that said though there's a very easy solution to this which is to run yolan and singchu together in the same team while yes you can run only along with tao and adjust your rotation accordingly or running only sing chu and using yolan in another team pairing yalon with sing-choo is actually a really strong combo as they complement each other quite nicely by both filling a similar role of applying hydro dealing a ton of damage and especially generating hydro particles for one another because of this you can run more damage on each of them since they will need less energy recharge because of that you can for example remove your sacrificial sword off of synchro and opt for a more offensive option giving him more damage and therefore increasing your team's dps now for more information on this however and especially if there's any updates in the near future i could make a direct comparison between yalan and xingchu and going to which one is better and why in a separate video so be sure to let me know in the comments if that interests you who has good damage and good hydra application so she is someone who you can be happy pulling for whether or not you should though does depend on what teams you're running and what characters you already have as there are many really good hydro supports who all have their strengths and weaknesses i will say if you need a second sync 2 for another team or to use together in certain very powerful teams yolon can be a good character to pull for your account because of that i do believe that yolan is good but not a must pull as her worth does depend on the teams you're running and which characters you already have alright now with that out of the way let's talk about elon's builds as we saw earlier yolan is a character whose main ability is her burst that burst is so high value you want to be able to spam it on cooldown and deal as much damage as possible with it because of that and because of how much energy recharge you need which i will cover for your artifacts sets the four piece emblem of severed fate is typically going to be your best one this is because for your elon's own personal damage this four piece emblem set is insane increasing your burst damage by 25 of your energy recharge for up to a maximum of 75 bonus damage is very strong on top of that the 2b set will give you 20 er which in it of itself is really good and overall this 4b set typically gives you so much burst damage that even if you're running like 200 energy recharge that 50 burst damage plus 20 er will outclass any other set for your yalan's personal damage because of that i highly recommend the mlm a third fate generally speaking now for other sets you can run on yalon i do wanna say that while you can run two pieces a mix and match if you don't have four emblem like two-piece noble blast two-piece heart of depth even two-piece emblem or two-piece tenacity of the milliliter i would only recommend doing this if you have much better stop stats on those two pieces as the four piece emblem severed fate is really good for yolan the same thing can be said about the four piece and the bless oblige where if you don't have a noblest user in your team since yolanda's gonna be spamming her burst on cooldown she can't have a good uptime on the four piece buffing your team's attack but you will lose out on a lot of yolon's personal damage only gaining twenty percent burst damage instead of like 50 or more from the four piece here on top of the energy recharge you're gaining so while you can use the blessed oblige if you have no healer or support that can run it other than yelon i would just recommend using a blast on another character like a healer as i mentioned and giving her a more offensive set like the four piece emblem with that said let's now talk about what stats your lawn wants now as i've covered she is someone who scales on hp and who can deal a lot of damage so you also want to be building crit before building both of those though you want to make sure you have enough energy recharge to spam your burst on cooldown just so that you can get the most value out of her hydra application and her damage now while as always the exact amount you need varies highly on your team weapon and playstyle like for example if you're running two hydro characters together a good general amount of yard to go for is around 220. do keep in mind though you can get away with a lot lower in certain teams with as i said two hydro characters or a fuvonius warbo which is really good on yolan and i'll cover in the next section so again the exact amount of vr you need varies but you want to make sure you have enough spammy bursts on cooldown so somewhere in the 200s with 220 being my personal recommendation now once you have enough energy recharged you can focus on hp percent crit rate and crit damage all three of these stats are very good and which one you need more does depend on your investment level what you already have and i'd say trying to get at least 30k hp is very efficient on your lawn and so for the main stats you're looking for first of all for your circuit you're typically going to be going for a crit circuit although hp can be viable as well generally speaking you're going to be favoring crit rate or crit damage on your circlet whichever one you need more of to balance your ratio with that said an hp percent circuit if you do have really good subsets on it can actually be a viable alternative if you need more hp and already have a lot of crit for your goblet hydro damage bonus is going to be the best overall and your sans you can either go hp or energy recharge typically if you're not running an energy recharge weapon it could be difficult for you to get enough on your substance so a sands can be favored but once you have enough er and hp sands will definitely be more damage so just go with whichever one you need now moving on let's talk about yolon's best weapons while i am currently on a media server so i have access to you know her new weapon and while it can be the best for her personal damage it isn't a needed weapon in my opinion because of how good her free-to-play bow is and how easy she is to have a really good weapon for what i mean by that is the following the fuvonius warbo is a weapon that you get for free during the story after completing a quest this weapon not only will get better at refinement but even without refinement it is a weapon that gives your yilan so much value because of how much energy recharge she needs in fact since she scales on hp the low base stack isn't a big deal however the insane amount of energy recharge you gain from this but also an effect that gives you extra particles extra energy for your elan and your team will be really good for you because it allows you to run on a lot lower energy recharge than you otherwise would need therefore meaning you can run more damage more hp more crit and so it will be a good bow overall not only for just the convenience of a lot of energy but also just for your personal damage while i'll show an exact weapon ranking and the calculus of how good this weapon is a bit later in this section i do want to make it clear that the fivonius warbow is amazing definitely your best free-to-play option and your best four-star overall although obviously it will lose value if you don't need the energy recharge or over-capping with someone like ryden also before moving on to hyland's best assault weapons i do want to address that the sacrificial bow is also viable for yolan as it does give you a good amount of energy recharge but it isn't as good as the fovoni swarbo as the mainstat's energy isn't as high and then the effect while it does give you a lot of hydroparticles requires you to use your skill twice and has a longer cooldown so you'll typically get less energy overall in a rotation and so it's just not quite as good as the fuvonis warbo which is an insane option now with that said let's move on to yolan's best weapons which are the elegy for the end and the aqua similacra first of all let's start by talking about our new signature weapon this weapon will give your yulon a ton of stats having almost 90 crit damage on the substance and increasing your hp and your damage from the passive because of that this bow is just insane for your overall dps on literally any bow user with that said while it's the best for your lawn's personal damage for your team's overall dps the elegy for the end is usually the best overall in reaction based teams where the elemental mastery buff will be relevant since most teams where you're running yolon are based around elemental reactions the elegy for the end is insane not only giving you energy recharge but also buffing your team's damage because of that i recommend using elegy on yolan if you have it with the aqua sumacra being her best personal dps and the fuvonius honestly being right after it as it can even surpass other five-star weapons like polar star or skyward harp although they are still viable options also before moving on i do want to mention that the new event weapon is viable on yellow although typically worse than fifone sorbo unless you don't need the energy recharge that the fuvonius will give you for example if you're running a team that gives you a lot of energy with that said i'm going to put a weapon calc on screen right now showing you about how good every bow is but do keep in mind this should just be used as a general weapon ranking as there are some variables here i do also want to add that the moon's moon can be good on yolan for her damage as you can see and 5 star bows in general are for the most part pretty good because of the stats that they give you overall there are many good weapons for yoland but typically i would recommend using fuvonius unless you have either the elegy for the end or her signature aqua simulacra moving on let's now talk about jalan's constellations personally while i intend to keep my elan on my main account as c0 i do think that she is someone who does have pretty good value in especially her first few constellations the reason for this is because her second consolation will actually give your yulon not only more hydro application by giving you an additional water arrow that will fire during the coordinated attacks of your burst but also a lot more damage as this extra water arrow will have a 14 scaling on yalan's max hp and will trigger once every 1.8 seconds because of that this constellation on paper means that you will apply more hydro and deal more damage around 20 to 25 more making it just a good second constellation other than just your c2 though your first constellation will give you another charge of your skill which isn't needed by any means will simply allow you to get more energy by using it twice moving on your third constellation increases your burst talent level which is an okay dps increase your fourth constellation will increase your party members hp which in most teams doesn't do that much but can be nice when paired with other hp scaling characters like utau your fifth constellation increases your skills town level which is not nearly as good as your burst and lastly your sixth constellation is a very unique one this constellation will transform eulan's normal attacks into special breakthrough barbs after you use your burst in fact your normal attacks will be dealing charge attack damage with an even higher scaling 156 percent of a normal breakthrough barb's damage this buff lasts 20 seconds and will be cleared after you fire five arrows so it basically will just increase that burst window of five extra arrows giving you a bit more damage do keep in mind a few things though is that through the theory crafting that has been done and the testing that has been done with this constellation so far although the character is new it does seem that this constellation will just allow you to be on field with the elan a bit longer and deal a bit more damage inside of the state without really changing how you built her as you're still gonna need a lot of energy recharge making amyloid severed fate still really good and so you shouldn't be too concerned about just focusing on your charge attack damage as you will still mainly be using elon for your burst and you won't just instantly become a main dps and so overall elon is a good character in my opinion at c0 and does not need constellations as she is very powerful but her second constellation can be a good one if you do want to get it for more hydro application and more damage all right now moving on let's talk about yolon's best teams this is one of the most important sections of the video in order for you to get the most value out of your yulon since yolan is such a powerful burst support who has good scalings and applies hydro one of the most valuable and strongest elements in the game she can be used in many teams basically any team that needs a hydro support or a team that would otherwise use sinchue with a few exceptions that i'll cover can typically use yolon on top of the fact that you can use her with sing chu because of that let's cover the different teams she can be used in apart from just generally being a good burst support then you can flex like any team that wants damage in general her main team archetypes are those relying on hydro reactions like electrocharge vaporize or even freeze first of all for taser teams or electrocharged she has a lot of synergy with a team like this one as you can spam electrocharge with fiscal and yilan swirl everything with kazua and then also have kokomi for more hydro as well as some pretty decent damage and healing and before moving on from taser teams i do want to first say that these teams are pretty flexible in general and also that yolan can be used quite well with ryden as their bursts synergize well with each other and ryden can give your yolon as well as your whole team energy back while also being the driver or the on-field auto attacker doing really good damage and procking your yolon's burst the next team i want to talk about is different vaporized teams with different pyro carries first of all with hutao i believe yilan can be a very good support alongside zing chu while i talked about her hydra application earlier in the video and how she can keep up with certain pyro dps's but not all of them for hutau specifically i really like running yolan and sting2 together to make sure you have enough hydro and just have a ton of damage xingchu likes to be ran with yilan and elon likes to be ran with sing too now keep in mind testing is still early and i have seen and played some who taught teams with only yolan and nosingchu and it worked but it did feel like sometimes you didn't have enough hydro especially without c2 yolan now with that said there are other power carries that you can run along with like uemia or daluk and for shang ling i really like running yolon in the ryden national team as ryden will basically alleviate elon's energy problems or any energy problems she might be having allowing you to run less energy recharge and have a really strong team similarly to synchro's role in this team comp now for a few other teams i want to talk about first of all regarding freeze with yellow it works similarly to sing true in the sense that it's not really the best option for a lot of freeze teams because characters like kokomi can apply a lot from off field while being a healer and buffing your team with thrilling tales and the millet set but that doesn't mean you can't use yolon in freeze you just have to weave in normal attacks to make sure that you're playing hydro although there is the downside of her burst being pretty single target with that said free freeze team you just want to run the standard formula of two cryo characters with an animal support and a hydro support as well for example if you're running an ike team this would look something like running ayaka with another crow user will use diana here for a healer and then just a animal like kazua and then a hydro character as your last slot moving on for some other teams i want to mention honestly there's quite a lot of teams where you can run yellow and double hydro i mentioned how much i like this core and i really do i think yoland and singh chu are very good together but you can also run some other hydro teams like double hydro double geo for a more comfy play style or even mono hydro teams although in general for these i would typically just prefer making it like electrocharged or taser focused as someone like fishel just does a ton of damage and will get you a ton of energy so they'll kind of give you the energy that another hydro character would while also allowing you to electrocharge and swirl both hydro and electro but monohydrate teams can still work nonetheless and so because of that you can see that yilan is a very flexible like burst support sub dps whatever you want to call her who can be used in many different teams all right now with that said we're now going to get into the elantra case in the current spiral abyss where i'm going to show you guys my yolon at her full potential now my alan's build could definitely be better i could have more hp and crit and stuff but it is pretty good four emblem with the r1 sumilacra obviously c0 uh jalan with level 8 talents her ratio in case you're wondering is 82 193 with enough er so i'm typically running double hydro as well as almost 32k hp so a really good ratio overall but definitely some room for improvement especially when you consider that it is amplified with my aqua simulacra with that said i want to show you guys elon in action so i hope characters aesthetic wise and in terms of her gameplay i find her very fun and also very strong like honestly as a good off-field hydro applier who also does massive amounts of damage and who can be paired in many different teams with or without another hydro with that said i really hope this guide was helpful since elan is a new character despite having tested her a lot i will be updating a
