ComfyUI Ultimate Upscaler Workflow - Magnific.ai Alternative

hey guys welcome back to another video on this weird and wonderful AI channel in this video I want to share with you a comfy UI workflow which is uh not mine it's been created by tibo uh Zamora uh it's an upscaler workflow and the idea is to upscale with high level of detail and do some hallucination along the way just like in magnific AI so in this workflow I am upscaling one of my original images that I had and I tested with in magnific and you can see the initial upscale of that image is done here which adds a lot more detail uh to this image and then we are using uh the ultimate SD upscaler with some hallucination settings and the settings are advised to be from uh5 2.4 as highlighted here uh however I was seeing some additional artifacts and things appearing in the image so I throttle it down even further to 01 and uh although the image does not resemble uh the original as much as I saw in magnific it's still a pretty good highly detailed upscale you can see a lot of definition and texture in the skin certainly in the Fabrics here in the hair and uh it feels like it's a wonderful alternative to magnific AI which I believe many of you were complaining stating that it's uh too expensive and you don't want to pay for it well this is your answer you can now set up comfy UI if you haven't got it already download this workflow install any missing noes and download the specific models uh outlined by the Creator here by tibo Zamora uh I will put them in the description below so if you're keen on running your own image upscaler and uh getting high quality image upscales uh i' suggest you check out this workflow which is uh available through comfy UI interface and run that up on your own GPU in my case I'm upscaling my image to a canvas size of 4032 * 2688 and uh it's a scale factor by two and it's using this tiling mechanism which is quite um unique to the ultimate SC upscaler and using this mechanism it's able to add a lot more detail uh which I guess is the hallucination part and is able to create a high quality detail image it does introduce some new things into the image when you compare with the original but I guess with any model based upscaler that is going to it is going to introduce new details so there you go there you have a free option available now that can produce high resolution images and I just started playing with this so this is fairly new I will experiment and post more images on my Twitter account so if you're not following me make sure you follow me there but uh certainly will be sharing my findings in more upcoming videos and if I find more ways to fine-tune this to get closely resembling images then I will share that as well but thanks for watching this video guys um as you'd said in the comments I'm sure someone would make something and here we have it uh we have a comfy UI workflow that basically does a similar thing to magnific AI so it becomes a great alternative and a free alternative if you have your own hardware and you can run it up on your computer um so thanks again for watching this video leave a comment uh let me know if you like this video and want to see more and I'll see you back here with more videos on this channel thank you guys bye-bye
