now we want to check back on that wet weather forecast certainly seeing some rain out there this morning but we haven't talked about maybe the other thing that we're going to see is the wind yeah it is we're getting you know a two punch on either way so a lot of that rain will continue to move out the next couple hours but then throughout the day it'll be pretty gusty you probably want to watch out for the patio furniture oh no i know it was so nice yesterday i'm sure everybody brought it out and now they're going to wake up this morning and be like it's all over the place well that's going to be the case throughout the day today it also could be causing some damage out there i know up towards lima some storm reports of a few branches down so keep in mind if you have an older tree in your neighborhood you may notice that throughout the day with our gusty conditions right now this rain has really fallen apart if you were maybe tuning in earlier maybe notice that a severe thunderstorm watch that has expired because we are looking at non-severe weather out there but definitely inconvenient to start off your sunday morning a few of these showers continue to push off to the south and east and this batch definitely falling apart as it moves off to the east delaware you're about done with some of that heavier rain mount gilead that is moving out of your way but mount vernon you do have some rain on the way so if you plan on leaving the house here headed off to a service maybe head at the grocery store here soon keep in mind you may run into some wet roadways as well as some rain depending on where you are logan chillicothe this rain continues to push off to the south and east zanesville you're about done with this rain but you'll probably have a few more showers to go as we continue over the next few hours this morning but even you taking you outside not looking all that bad out there temperatures are mild we're in the 60s to kick off your morning much warmer than yesterday and we do have that breeze to go along with it right now south southwest at 16 miles per hour and those gusts will continue to pick up throughout the morning into the afternoon speaking of once we get a few of those showers out of here this morning we'll continue to see temperatures climb and even a few breaks of sunshine throughout the later part of the day so while it may be a bit dreary out there right now you do have some dry time to get out and enjoy somewhat of the end of the weekend temperatures will make their way into the low 70s later this afternoon let me show you what the system is going to do so a few of these showers will continue to push off to the south as we inch closer to lunchtime and they're going to linger closer towards the ohio river this model has a few showers lingering here in central ohio i think most of this is expecting to sit off to the south so we're going to stay quiet here in central ohio throughout the rest of the day but come late tonight i'd say closer towards midnight one two in the morning we'll see another batch of this rain get going and this is what's going to be pretty heavy and probably have some thunderstorms embedded in it as well here's a look at 3 a.m meteorologist jeff booth will be tracking this early come monday morning could be a big inconvenience factor for that early monday morning commute as we'll still be tracking some heavy rain out there come five six o'clock in the morning that will continue to push off to the south as we head throughout the late morning on monday a few lingering showers in the afternoon but then we'll see some drier conditions come monday night tomorrow we do have the chance for a few of those storms to be on the stronger side slight risk of severe weather mainly for damaging winds that's going to be folks down in southeast ohio looking out for that also i think that we could have the possibility of some localized flooding some ponding on the roadway so give yourself plenty of time out there if you are hitting the road for that early monday morning commute and when i'm speaking of ponding and the chance for some localized flooding we're talking some places could see one to two inches of rainfall by the end of the day so some really heavy rain that could be impactful out there let's take you into the next few days we'll see a few of those showers continue to push off to the south throughout the morning bit of a break throughout the afternoon but more rain to come late tonight into early tomorrow morning on your monday we'll see a bit of a break tuesday wednesday thursday as temperatures kick off into a chilly note to kick off the week and then friday watching out for the chance for a rain snow mix still a little bit far out on this and models aren't in total agreement so we're going to still watch that for you but keep in mind could be dealing with a bit of winter weather and then much colder next weekend with temperatures in the 30s and 40s keep in mind we do spring ahead next weekend now let's take let's send things off to meteorologist jeff booth with this week's skywatch
