god you are what a good god [Music] well good evening everyone we're just so glad that you're here tonight and welcome to those that are watching online we're excited about what god is doing and what he's going to do tonight we're excited that this is our first first friday night holy spirit night in 18 months come on and you're with us those of you at home i just want to say jump in with everything that's taking place here yeah and we recognize that there's going to be far more people in their homes or wherever you're going to be rather than being in the building so even though if i could say it's some of the activities taking place here nothing's to stop the holy spirit from connecting with you uh while you're watching and we want to encourage you to do more than watch so just a moment we're going to have a worship time we want to encourage you to stand up uh move around your home you get to do something that in the room we don't get to do and that's to just sing as loud as you as you can we get everyone gets to worship we don't get to sing loud we're allowed to sort of sing quietly under our breath uh hum uh we're allowed to shout we're allowed to do those kind of things but technically singing is uh it's not allowed and just to let you know when john ornith who's going to be our our speaker tonight and our facilitator of holy spirit ministry uh again the rules are for the city of toronto that we're not he's not allowed to touch people but there's no rule in the city of toronto that the holy spirit's not allowed to touch that's right come on so we we're expecting we're expecting that uh that god's gonna going to be touching people yeah and i know that there's something special when hands are laid on people it's all the way to the bible it started with jesus actually it started in the old testament but jesus sort of really did it well and then it became a tradition called the laying out of hands and so that part we can't do tonight but the holy spirit can sovereignly that's right overwhelmingly lay his hands on your physical bodies yeah um let me just say i'm writing a little blog um gonna come out probably next week and just talking about some of the demonic spirits that are at play in our world right now and an acquaintance of mine came across a very interesting little verse in psalm chapter 91 and you know that it talks about in the very first verse that those who make the lord their dwelling place if if you make the lord your dwelling place all of the promises of psalm 91 are now in play for you if you skip verse 1 and go to verse 2 and start claiming the promises it doesn't work that way you need to be pushing in to the dwelling place of the lord so that's what we're going to do tonight and this is a push-in and this is called going deeper tomorrow night for those of you that live in the in the greater toronto river if you're able to join us 6 p.m until midnight is just six hours of worship we're gonna have three different bands from our worship community they're gonna be leading us doors open around 5 30. so we'd love you to come and if you're coming and staying that late go to a hotel that's what sandra and i are doing instead of a half an hour home it's like okay because 9 a.m on sunday and then 11 15 we're having two more push-in meetings on sunday morning so this whole weekend is pushing for more of the holy spirit we're calling it going deeper yeah so church family that are in the room church family at home how about you stand and sandra let's just begin and push in well holy spirit i can just feel your presence right now and lord i thank you for the hunger that is in this room right now that people that are watching online right now i thank you lord that this is your house and we honor your presence in this house right now and we give you all the glory and honor for what you're going to do but lord we truly we worship we worship you we worship you and we just lord i just want to tell you how much i love you i love you i love you with all of my heart and tonight lord as we worship you as we we hear the word as you do whatever you want to do and healing lord we just ask that oh you come and fill this holy spirit you come and fill us holy spirit boldness to preach the gospel you see the dead raised in hands laid on the sick and even when we can't touch each other you know how to touch anyone and you came down with flames and tongues of fire and you just came in with the wind and so we receive your wind we receive your fire we receive your move we receive your presence thank you for it thank you for your resurrected body thank you for the scars from the nails and where they pierced your side and where you had a crown of thorns on your head thank you that you're seated with your father at his right hand thank you jesus you're coming back thank you jesus that you're not just leaving us here but you said you give us your spirit and we have you holy spirit thank you jesus for your spirit inside of us and with us and around us thank you jesus we worship you jesus we exalt you jesus we lift up your name if you don't have your hands up i just want to invite you if you if it resonates in your spirit just to lift up holy hands in the presence of the lord thank you for forgiving us of sin thank you for washing us thank you for delivering us thank you that when we resist the devil in your name he flees away from us thank you that in your name we are healed by your stripes we are healed thank you jesus thank you thank you thank you thank you jesus thank you for your blood thank you for the cross thank you thank you for your work thank you for your presence thank you that you are the head of your church thank you that we have the mind of christ thank you that you know what you're doing and you know the end you know the end and you said it is finished you said it you have the final say you have the final word you have the final ending of all things and everything is under your feet and all things bow at your name and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess only you alone you are lord you are king of kings you are lord of lords you are the give you honor we give you praise we thank you lord that you've heard our worship today towards you lord father may it be honoring to you father lord we declare our love in this place again we thank you even those that are watching at home just declare your love and thanks to the lord yes lord we thank you father we thank you i thank you god i thank you for your presence i thank you for your goodness lord i thank you for your provision father i thank you lord that you are light in the darkness and that even right now lord that you are coming in a way that your light will shine in this world father and they will we will know that it's you jesus and that you are lord over this nation father you are lord of our city over our country father and lord we give you glory and we give you honor we thank you lord lord i'm just in awe of your goodness father i'm just in awe of your goodness father that tonight you would open our eyes to see what you see lord i thank you father for your provision i thank you lord how you have just been coming you've been coming in our homes father in our city father you've been coming in this church tonight lord those watching online you've just been coming and you're showing yourself and lord i just thank you for that i thank you for that whoa i just i just have to go back just a little bit 18 months ago first sunday where none of you were in the building and i remember walking in and just feeling so uncomfortable because there was just a handful of people in the building and you were watching online and it was great but we really i just really missed you and it just had just went in my heart tonight just to thank the lord that we can be in church tonight and that we can worship him and that we can express our thanks to him with our voice we can speak it out with our shouts with our clapping of the hands we can do that lord and so father i thank you lord that you have been there every step of the way and lord i thank you for what you want to do tonight lord would you prepare our hearts [Music] and lord our ears to hear and prepare our hearts to receive all that you have and lord i'm just so grateful so thankful come on thank you jesus i was feeling that the theme of tonight is psalm 51 sorry 91 and the very first meeting that we had with nobody in the room we read that uh spoke that over our church family and we have had people when when you know when we're allowed to have people back in the room we've been doing that we've been doing all the careful things to keep people safe but the lord is the one who's been keeping people safe and we've been i wanted to read a few verses from from psalm 91 in the the passion translation and i've seen something here and i've alluded to it at the very beginning and we're gonna we're gonna finish a little section here in just a second but here's what psalm 91 and the passion says when you abide when you stay when you live under the shadow of shaddai you are hidden in the strength of god most high he is the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me the only god for me and my great confidence he will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy you know satan's got lots of traps yep and he will protect you from false accusation anyone had those kind of things happening around you and he will protect you from any deadly curse now friends here's the interesting thing one of the words that's going to come up is the name of a of a demon and most translations don't say it but but the passion translation talks about it so down to verse five you will never worry about an attack of demon forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you don't fear a thing whether by night or by day demonic danger will not trouble you know where the powers of evil be launched against you even in a time of disaster with thousands and thousands being killed you will remain unscathed and unharmed and it just goes on and on and on and it turns out where it says demons in there it's actually the name of a canaanite spirit one of the the spirits that israel had to conquer override that spirit and that spirit's purpose is pestilence plague things that are mentioned in other translations in that passage and i want to just have anthony come on up and to share a story about god's protection senator do you want to just wipe your microphone down for anthony this is uh dr anthony marcia you can be seated friends we had dinner at anthony's house tonight he's a sports doctor and he's also an athlete he goes on long like 200 kilometer cycle you know things he's a kite surfer and he has us a story come on up here anthony from a couple weeks ago that you need to hear this friends about god's protection god's covering over you so anthony tell your story there push that up there you go so a few weeks ago [Music] i just was at a funeral for my my cousin who died sarah at 42 and it was went to the cottage to reflect on her life on lake erie and the lake erie is known for being it could be a very rough lake with lots of storms coming up so my my good friend who's a world champion kayaker thought let's let's go out for a paddle together just to help uh celebrate the life of your cousin so we launched from a place near port dover in lake erie and we were going to do what's called a downwinder where you take your kayaks and these are special kayaks they're called surf skis they're very long and narrow and you surf the the waves they're about 19 20 feet long so we started going out and then the wind whips up [Music] the waves got quite big 12 foot waves easily they were very fast um and we're about a mile offshore and the winds start changing we start drifting off and now these kayaks you sit on top and you have a leash so when you get knocked over you get back in and you're trained for that so i got knocked over and i tell you the the energy just got sapped from me that i just with the morning of my cousin and some other things in my life that i just couldn't get back into the boat so my friend michael who's the world champion came over the wave hits him and he loses his paddle and here we are drifting off in the middle of the lake and i had my energy was going even though i had a life jacket the waves were just overpowering you and i thought okay jesus is this it i said i want to repent of any sins if this is it then then i'm at peace and just tell my wife i love her and i'm ready to go or give me a miracle to get me out of this because i saw no way out so i'm standing here so you know a miracle happened did you survive anthony so so we bungee our boats together we're out there and we don't see land and we both look at michael as a christian and i says mike we need a miracle and he goes we pray to jesus for a miracle and i tell you this this light starts flashing the horizon and we couldn't see shore so we start we looked at each other we have one paddle we're straddling the two kayaks so we're kind of taking turns now paddling and i was exhausted i under-dressed it got cold i was shivering i was getting hypothermic but we saw this kind of flashing light like a beacon and we said we're going to go for this light we were out there a couple hours and and the coastline was very rocky it was very rough a lot of cliffs but this light was at about 50 feet of beach so we see it so we're starting to gun it for this beach we hit the shore break it knocks us over we got we got stuck under the kayaks things are breaking and i get pulled out of the water and there's this man looking over me and i said am i in heaven are you an angel is this is this it and he's a dutch man he goes uh he goes no he goes i was praying this morning and god told me to come to this spot because two people are gonna need to be saved at this time [Applause] so and i'm a physician i'm a scientist so you know this is not stuff that you know you can make up that easily so he pulls us off we get into this truck out in the back of his pickup he puts he drives me i go who are you what what are you doing here i'm just the farmer god told me just to come here and he also told me to use my my mirror in my car as a light reflection from the sun to point in that direction so you guys could see i couldn't see you but i know where where to point the mirror [Applause] and here i am to tell about it yeah anthony it's just an amazing thing i asked anthony like because the guy drove him back to where their cars were uh took anthony back to his his cottage and he's hypothermic so he's in the shower bath for like half an hour getting warm and i said what was the name of the farmer and anthony goes never asked him and as we're talking it's most likely he doesn't have a name because he's probably an angel if he's a farmer he's a very good hearer of god farmer yep i'd like you to stand with me friends this story epitomizes what our god's able to do for us all circumstances of life he's able to watch over us and protect us and the theme of our meeting tonight is we're going to be asking the holy spirit to heal our physical bodies and to strengthen our bodies so that you know no sickness no disease all the passages in the scripture will come our way but on top of that friends god watches over our souls he watches over our physical bodies in a life-threatening things like anthony just experienced two weeks ago god's able to do that for us if we abide under the shelter of his wings if jesus is real to you and friends if you're in the room you're watching and jesus is not real this promise i'm sorry to say is not for you the promises of god are for the people of god and when we when we give our life to him and say we're full in and friends we began today by talking about the promises of god we have to fulfill them and the big part of verse one in this passage is that we dwell we live under the presence of god in his presence surrounded by him and friends if you're in the room and you haven't given your life to jesus you're at home right now and you're watching you're hearing anthony's story and i don't know what kind of conclusion you can make friends other than god saved his life that's the only conclusion god spoke to a farmer or positioned an angel and said stand at this exact spot at this exact time and put a mirror and flash a light out that direction two people are gonna be saved and there there he is and here's two people need a miracle friends that's who our jesus is that's my jesus how many of you have that jesus as part of your life yep if you haven't i just want to pray with you right now and friends i just use one of the simplest prayers it's it's for kids to be able to understand to give their life to jesus and it's just abc and it's like this a i admit that i'm a sinner that my sins have separated me from god i admit that and so if that's you just is that true have you sinned have you come short of the glory of god if that's true you say i admit that the word or the letter b is belief and the bible says if we believe that jesus came and he died for us and he rose again and will be born again it's a simple little thing to believe we believe that jesus is who he said he is that he's the son of god and he's come specifically to pay for our sins the penalty that we deserve he took that death willingly took that death bled to death on a cross [Music] and the question is do you believe that and if you do just say jesus i believe who you are the son of god the savior of the world and then letter save stands for the word call the bible says anyone who calls upon the name of the lord will be saved save from our sins it's so simple friends jesus just needs an invitation from you all he needs is an invitation for you to say i'm in i want this and so friends if you're watching you're in the room today and you've never given your life to jesus i'd like you to just to say those final words jesus i'm calling out to you right now come and be with me live with me forever live with me forever how about everyone just close your eyes and those of you that have just said that little prayer with me you said it in your own words [Music] the bible says that when you make that heart commitment that the spirit of god comes into you god's presence comes in it's like the it's like your first mortgage payment you get to move into the house that you potentially own hundreds of thousands of dollars on but once you've made your first mortgage payment you get to occupy that house and spirit of god comes into us as a first deposit of eternity with god heaven is our home and the spirit of god comes as a first deposit that he's with us for the rest of our lives and so holy spirit we welcome you to come and those at home those in the room that they tangibly experience the holy spirit right now that you get chills running through your body you get uh uh pins and needles i don't know how you translate that friends but your body just begins to resonate just like a tuning fork does to a piano your body begins to resonate that the spirit of god has taken over and that you've been forgiven of your sins and jesus is your savior you called on his name and he answered and he's come to be with you he's come to be with you those of you at home we would love you just to connect with us right now and there's a couple different people that are monitoring uh the chat room and so if you just put in right into the chat and say i just prayed that prayer someone pray with me right now if you just type some something like that i want to connect people right away will begin to to minister to you and to connect with you we'd love to be able to do that and for those in your in the room good news love to connect with you right now pray with you right now help you to know that god's real in your life right now and uh right over here is pastor rob one of our team and rob just move over in the light just a little bit better so they can see him there he is right there and friends any of you that are unsure about your destiny are you with god are you not with god is jesus your savior is he not your savior friends bible actually says this we can be sure we can be sure nothing about us it's all about what god wants to do and so if you're here in the room this is your time i wanted you to just get out of your chair just come right over here rob's actually got four or five other people to help him depending on how many people come up to the front so friends if that's you unashamedly up to the front just linger sometimes just because it's so important that you connect with with god amen anthony you sat down i'll say your prayer for you church stand up again i was going to get anthony pray a prayer of just when we call out to god that he hears and that we know that he's with us i was thinking of a lady in our church and early on in covet she told her daughter and her son who come to this church that she's just elderly she's in a senior's residence her husband had passed away and she said jesus i really want to be with you and the circumstance was that the very next day coven came into her senior's residence and within one day she was with jesus and her family were ecstatic her prayer was answered that quick that she was able to be with jesus and it just happened that that whether she died of covet who knows holy spirit thank you when we call out to you you're there [Music] because you're you're our god we're under your incredible wings we dwell in your presence and when we do all of heaven as it were is at our disposal angels are on assignment to care for us to look after us to minister to us people get a dream get a word a farmer on lake erie gets a word you need to be at this spot tomorrow you need to shine a mirror flashing a light out into the lake during a storm because two people need their lives saved father you're able to assemble the troops for us that's the promise of psalm 91 and you're able to push back demonic spirits spirits that have assignment for pestilence and plagues and i can't remember exactly the name of that spirit it starts with the queue i'm going to say q-teb or q-tar or something like that in the blog i'm writing this next week friends you'll see it but we just speak to that spirit that originates pestilence diseases plagues against us and we say not around us we put that incredible shield that the lord promised we put it around us just put a little circle around your friends i'm going to be hidden just like job was and satan had to go right into the throne room of heaven and say i'd like to have a shot at this guy but you won't let me father we'd like to have that same kind of wall around our lives that unless god gives permission nothing comes our way thousands of people who don't know the lord may fall at our right and our left but we stay standing because you're with us and we just speak that all the verses all the promises of psalm 91 we say that again first sunday of lockdown that was the talk psalm 91 god's with us and daddy i want to say 18 months later our first friday night meeting you've been with us you've been watching over people amazing god stories you're here you're with us we bless you can you say amen amen good all righty um i don't know if the youth and so the junior high and senior high if they left i think they did because they were sitting over here but if you're junior high senior high you're meeting starting upstairs so just go up the stairs and over there and if you're here and you've never been to junior high senior high every friday night and you can just head upstairs into the rooms right back over there and that's where everyone's meeting john arnett you need to come on the stage please friends this is our founding pastor started this church i want you to stand up and thank john hey john by the way can we just while we're doing that can we say thank you to laura and jonathan and the band for amazing set tonight six o'clock until midnight tomorrow is uh six hours of worship and just we're gonna have some of our pastors pushing in at different times and prophesying and you know doing those kind of things but it's not it's not a come and receive a ministry night this is a night to be devoted to the lord are you okay with that yeah this that you just push in so john john phoned me probably three months ago and he said steve i need to come and do a healing meeting and it was like in the middle of lockdown it's like john when's lockdown's over we're good and so anyways when lockdown was over we began to think about it and jonathas regatta who's one of our pastors he's upstairs with the youth right now i think he he's saying i had a dream and we're doing a special weekend not just a one night healing meeting but we're doing that then we're doing a extended worship and just a whole weekend to pushing in and it's like perfect because john harnett wants to come and be the the first person back in a friday night and to just allow the holy spirit to come in and heal so john the lord spoken about this and here we are and uh friends just again for if you weren't here at the very beginning we're not allowed to lay hands on you the good news is the lord doesn't need john's hands even though they're nice they're clean they're soft that's right i've had his hands on my body john uses moisturizer i know all these things essential oils he's one of these he's one of these guys he's soft and cuddly but right now the rules are no laying on of hands and so we're not gonna do that but when john does ministry we want you to respond and if you feel that you've been healed when john calls out different words of knowledge because that's sort of you know said how he does it uh if that's you we're gonna get you to come on up to the front uh or even onto the stage i'll have a microphone interview you know we'll i'll hold the microphone all that different kind of stuff so expect that god's going to heal your bodies tonight yes those of you at home just to let you know we want you to put your stories into the chat as soon as you feel that god's done something put it into the chat we're just trying to figure out how do we get that information onto the stage uh we've had it different times tv monitors right here so that we can see all the chats and all the stuff that's going on but we don't have that tonight so john you got something special for us god's spoken to you i hope so steve you hope so i hope so too god bless you john thank you steve hi everybody it's really really great to be to be back in this place with all of you and uh carol's watching from home i'm sure and uh praying for me and praying for you so this is great and uh just special thanks to the worship team that laura and and jonathan clark and dallas and all of the team it was just superb and an awesome presence of the lord and uh gosh there's just so much i'd love to share with you one of the things i want you to hold in your heart is the soon coming of the lord jesus so tell the person next to you he's coming soon probably a lot sooner than you think and so you need to know friends that jesus from the get-go planned on taking over the world so he's not behind schedule by any means the deal was to give millions of people an opportunity to say yes to him and and so that's right on track and i i was just reading in in matthew chapter 24 the other day how he said that this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the nations and then the end will come and you know we're very very close to that there's not a nation left on earth that has not heard the gospel in some form and there's at least one church in that nation so technically that is fulfilled and yet we want to see where every living person on earth has heard the good news of the lord jesus christ how about you and so here we are we're gathered it's it's a little awkward you know don't touch anybody don't breathe on anybody keep your mask on and separate sickness you know but the the holy spirit is never limited by circumstances i want you to know that and i found that he comes anyway um two days ago i was on a zoom call with friends from moscow and russia and they had something like three or four hundred screens on these are russian-speaking people all over the world and you know the holy spirit was touching them uh powerfully and people were in tears and they were moved and they're broken by the presence of the holy spirit and so many of you are watching online good and many of you are here in in the auditorium tonight it's it's a wonderful turnout uh rob miller came with me as we drove in and uh he said how many people are you expecting there tonight i said i don't know there might be 10 there might be 50 there might be 100 i don't know but look at all of you give yourselves a hand here tonight just thank you for making the effort on the first friday night out and i want to say this don't just come for a maintenance dose tonight i want you to press in and go for an upgrade because where this thing is going is going to take all of us full on full of the holy spirit full of fire and just going for it for the kingdom of god how many want to do that just wave excitedly to heaven okay then that's that's where we want to go and so over the years i've i've just noticed that people actually they they they come for two or three main reasons one of them is they want good bible teaching and sound doctrine that's good because the holy spirit is a spirit of truth but apart from that they come because they need a physical healing which was really the big draw in the ministry of jesus himself are you aware of that they came by the thousands because they were desperate for healing and after a while they just knew if i can get to that meeting i'm going to go home without this problem because they met a powerful anointing the second reason that people come to the lord is because they want the encounter the personal encounter with god himself and so when they hear about the baptism in the holy spirit the immersion in the holy spirit they're hungry for that and that's why in this building we had four million come and be touched by the power of god how many have been in this place when the floor is littered with bodies the the dead and wounded were all over the floor you know and that's why they kept coming because god met them and so we need to realize that the one who is about to return and set up his kingdom and rule and reign on earth he is here tonight in the presence and power of the holy spirit so i want to just give a couple of verses of scripture here and so turn into your bibles to hebrew hebrews chapter 13 verse 8 and and you need to know that this is absolute truth but this verse says and i'm reading from the new king james jesus christ is the same yesterday today and forever and so the wonderful thing about the lord is he's good all the time and he has not changed and so if you grew up with a theology that said well god doesn't heal anymore or miracles don't happen anymore you need to realize that that was wrong teaching because the bible says that jesus is the same yesterday today forever which means he still heals the sick today and so i want you well let me just ask how many in the room need a miracle of some kind or other a physical healing besides me wave excited all right just register your need in heaven lord i'm believing that you are the same yesterday today and forever you are the god of miracles well we we believe that jesus wants to heal you today not only that it is absolutely the will of god to heal you and his time is now in acts chapter 10 verse 38 the scripture says that god anointed jesus of nazareth with the holy spirit and power and he went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for god is with him and that makes an interesting connection there many times sickness disease problems have a connection with some kind of evil presence and evil spirit it's not the will of god to afflict you it is the will of god to heal you and many times god gets blamed for what the enemy has done and set up for you so i want you to turn away from that because sickness sin and death are enemies of humanity and the bible says that that that the last enemy to be overcome is death itself i hope you're looking forward to that are you anybody listen we've got two horizons facing us in the future one of them is jesus is coming he will return and establish his kingdom and it's not going to be that far away it's being the better part of 2000 years now and as you look around the earth you're you're probably getting the oppression it feels like the whole thing is unraveling the second horizon is this thing called death that so many are afraid of and covid this monster that nobody can quite get a handle on is everywhere but i want you to know something that covet is one of the big drivers for revival that is sweeping the earth why because so many people are so afraid of death and they're looking at there's a christian and there's a christian why aren't they as afraid as i am and they find out it's because jesus lives in them and and they have they know that they know that they know that they have eternal life so if you have eternal life just raise your hand in thanksgiving say thank you jesus for forgiving me of all my sins and for the gift of eternal life wow now we want to talk about the holy spirit a little bit uh in matthew chapter 3 john the baptist is referring to the one who's coming is greater than him and he said this he says i baptize in water you know many of the leaders the pharisees sadducees jewish leaders they came to him and said who are you and what are you doing and and why are you baptizing people and are you this prophet or that prophet he said no i'm not that i'm not the messiah i'm not this oh who are you then he said i'm one who is preparing the way for the real guy that's coming i baptize you in water that means i immerse you in water but he he is going to immerse you in the holy spirit and fire so whatever your concept is about the baptism in the holy spirit i want you to multiply the strength of that dynamic by about a hundred times right now because we are talking now about god immersing us in the presence the fiery love and the glory of the holy spirit god the holy spirit himself and i want you to know that's going to make a big difference in your life and you will probably live through it almost everybody does so that's good isn't it and so i want you to begin hungering and thirsting see i i have this talk with myself lord i don't want just a maintenance dose just a little top up to you know get me going lord i gotta preach tonight can can i have some because you know it's it's better when you're anointed than when you're not and all that kind of thing no i want to reach for more tonight hold your hand set to him and just settle this in your heart there is so much more of god that i need and that i want lord not just to maintenance dose i asked you to come and just find me tonight melt me mold me shape me fill me spirit of the living god fall fresh on me and i felt the lord say wait on me you know so many times those of us in leadership are are are guilty a bit of trying to fit the holy spirit into our program and our little time frame and wouldn't it be something if he fell on this room and we were still here at this time tomorrow would that be okay with you we can tell stories of where things like that happen i remember going home from here at three and four in the morning because i was fascinated by what the holy spirit was doing and he's getting ready to do it again the greatest wave of revival the world has ever seen since the book of acts in the first second century is about to descend upon the world so we wait for you to walk in the room so just hold your hands up to him and tell your heart and your spirit listen yearn for him there's nothing more important in all this world than for you to get connected to the presence of the holy spirit holy spirit will you come and make jesus more real than any of us have ever known i ask you to sweep over this place and begin to touch us physically emotionally and spiritually because you're the reason we came we didn't come for the entertainment lord we came to meet with you some of you are feeling his presence on your hands right now just welcome him welcome that burning welcome that electricity welcome that heaviness that weightiness of god it usually begins gentle and as you respond it increases more and more but i'm telling you the holy spirit is the secret to miracles they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength keep coming holy spirit [Music] sweep over these dear people lord we're hungry we're thirsty we're so grateful for all that you have done in the past but we feel like we're sitting on the edge of a very important happening when once again you move in mighty power hold your hands up to him and welcome him right here give us more give us more give us more he will baptize you with the holy spirit and fire in acts chapter 1 and verse 4 final words of jesus on earth they're probably really important so being assembled together with them the apostles he commanded them not to depart from jerusalem but wait for the promise of the father which he said you've heard from me for john truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized immersed absolutely filled with the holy spirit not many days from now turned out to be ten days and then it happened in in acts chapter two well he reiterated in acts 1 8 you shall receive power i want you to start to receive that power and that presence right now see john how do i do that you do that by faith believing in these promises and start to breathe in this presence that's here just begin to breathe it in friends ah you shall receive power when the holy spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to me jerusalem all judea and samaria and to the end of the earth that's the promise and it happened in acts chapter 2. when the day of pentecost had fully come they're all with one accord in one place they having a prayer meeting and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind it filled the whole house where they were sitting and there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire and one sat upon each of them now i think until we see that experience duplicated we don't have the fullness of the spirit really yet he wants to come with his fiery love and rest upon you and it's going to change you completely how many would like the refiner's fire to burn on you [Applause] oh holy spirit let that fiery love just fall upon us some of you are feeling it already it's the heat of god what a it treasure on each of them they're all filled with the holy spirit began to speak in other tongues other dialects as the spirit gave them utterance and when the sound occurred the multitude came running together and they refused because they all heard them all speaking in his own language what does this mean and peter told them this is what joel prophesied about the holy spirit i've found that when you really long for him he comes and he's going to come on many of us tonight he's going to fall on many of you at home why because it's the father's promise you remember jesus said i'm not going to leave you like orphans but i will come to you i have to go away or the comforter will not come but if i go i'll send him unto you and he will be with you forever what a glorious promise friends we have him with us every moment of every day this is what the nations are so hungry for when carol and i go someplace people come because they're hoping for a fresh touch of god we were in in montreal and uh and just south of there last weekend people came hungry and god was filling them this has not gone away friends it is still happening we were in ottawa area uh two weekends before that four of our churches came together why they want more of the holy spirit yeah and i tell you what he came and he met us and he wants to meet with you right now with his healing love and his transforming fire oh my goodness i love that passage from first corinthians chapter two where paul told the church there listen i didn't come to you with clever speech and and and stories and and sort of natural presentation but i came to you in power and in the demonstration of the holy spirit so that your faith would not rest or depend upon the wisdom of man but on the power of god the power and the manifest power of the presence of the holy spirit is absolutely part of our faith and i want it to be every one of your experience don't rest until you've been absolutely blasted as we say by the presence and power of the holy spirit say john what do i do just keep pressing in just convince jesus that you're really serious and he will meet you i promise he'll meet you if it's a casual thing like you want to play with it you know that's not the best approach but when you are serious about meeting with god and having your life transformed and turned around and then being able to help others i'm telling you what he will not disappoint you well it's the promise of the father as i as i read to you from acts and there's a wonderful verse in ephesians 1 14 that tells us that this holy spirit is like the down payment on your inheritance now listen when either when jesus comes or when you come out of this body and death and go to meet the lord you're going to experience heaven i hope you're excited about that are you [Applause] how do you know you're going to like heaven when you get there wait wait a minute wait a minute it's not what i was hoping for no no no it's not going to be a surprise other than overwhelming you know why because that scripture says the holy spirit is the down payment on heaven and when you get filled with the holy spirit it is so overwhelmingly good you just don't know what to do i'm thinking about an experience i had years ago when i went to israel the first time i went to a conference there and a man by the name of david duplacee was speaking and honest to goodness he was talking about the love of god and he was just just so nailing me with my criticism and accusation of others and you know you can get smug thinking you've got it all figured out and your doctrine is better and this and that and the other i i was just busted publicly in that meeting undone and in the me i could not stop weeping and i mean i was broken i was sobbing and almost couldn't collect myself and i went home to the hotel night after night after night and as i would try to lie down and sleep these waves of heaven would start coming over me and they would be so sweet at first ooh and then increase and increase and increase until i remember saying lord if one more wave comes over me i'm not going to live through it but it was the most pleasurable wonderful love-filled joy-filled grace-filled encounter that i have ever had in my life and yet i i felt like it was so rich that it was i wouldn't survive if it the intensity increased anymore that was a deposit into my spirit of what heaven is really going to be like tell the person next year you've got a great future if you know jesus you are already a success no matter what else is wrong you're already a success and then it's just all better and better from there because he wants you filled with the holy spirit now we started out by encouraging you by saying don't just settle for a little top up tonight i want you to go for go for broke go for everything and we did that years ago carol and i stephen sandra everything we had we just like we pushed all our chips in the middle of the table and we went for it we said with this either works or it doesn't we're going for it and you know what it was it was the best thing we ever did steve and i want you to go for it because there's another wave of heaven coming friends this is not something we can work up this is not something that i can urge you on and say come on come on let's let's get excited or something like that no i'm appealing to your heart to get serious with him to get real with him and say oh god i've got to have more i can't you know just be frivolous with my time and my energy anymore i've got to focus on the things of the kingdom i have got to have more of you and when you lock in on that that's a very good place to be the lord said to carol one time carol i want you to to to sell your most precious possession for me and and she said what our house or what and she didn't know what he was talking about and finally he said lord i don't know what you mean please please tell me he said carol i want your time your time is the most precious possession that you have how many of you would like it if you if you could save like a half an hour a day for something special instead of wasting it i mean you know how we waste time sitting at red lights waiting for this waiting for that this goes wrong that goes wrong you know you just fix a little thing on the computer i think it'll take two three minutes an hour later you're still fiddling that kind of thing the time wasters if we could recoup some of that and give that time to god and just get into the word and get before him find it get into the secret place and believe him for more i'm telling you there is so much more that's just there for you someone put it this way you can have as much of god as you want well that's quite a challenge isn't it hold your hands out to him again this is the method here this is how we do it they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength now begin to breathe and hit not just air but anointed air breathe that anointing in through your dear little mask and everything else just breathe it in in jesus name father i ask that this room would be charged with the presence of the holy spirit fill us lord we wait for you we wait for you lord your people need a healing touch we your people we need to be filled again with more of the holy spirit i ask you to fill us so full that just like in acts 2 we'll run out on the street declaring in the languages of the people around us the wonderful works of god take us into the supernatural o holy spirit in jesus name now there's a verse in luke chapter 5 verse 17 that says that the power of the lord was present to heal now it happened on a certain day as he was teaching that there were pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by who had come out of every town of galilee judea jerusalem and the power of the lord was present to heal there is such power in his presence friends this is what we're asking for the unseen presence of god himself the unseen presence of the kingdom of god the story goes on then behold men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed who they sought to bring in and lay before him and they couldn't find out how they might bring him in because the crowd of the crowd they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling in the midst before jesus and when he saw their faith he said to him man your sins are forgiven you the scribes and pharisees began to reason who's this who speaks blasphemy who can forgive sin but god alone jesus perceived their thoughts and answered them and said why are you reasoning in your hearts which is easier to say your sins are forgiven you or rise up and walk but that you may know that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sins he said to the man who was paralyzed i say to you arise take up your bed and go to your house immediately he rose up before them took up what he had been lying on and departed to his own house glorifying god and they were all amazed and they glorified god and were filled with fear saying we have seen strange things today the power of the lord was present to heal jesus christ the same yesterday today forever he has not changed friends he's here to heal you now listen carefully it is absolutely the will of god to heal you yes you how do i know because jesus healed everyone who came to him what was their little step of faith they turned up at the meeting they got into the presence that was it they weren't naming it and claiming it and praying for hours and all of that they just heard from a friend hey i went to that meeting with with jesus you know and i was healed there really tell me about wow do you think if i went i'd be healed yes i do and so people just went to the meeting and it was the presence to heal then in matthew chapter 10 verse 1 luke chapter 9 verse 1 he gave that power to his 12 disciples then in luke chapter 10 he gave it to 70 others and then it was multiplied again from there and there and this is is the inheritance of every christian you and i are called not only to receive but also to minister in this that's why the days ahead are so exciting friends i want you to just begin to receive this right now now when we minister to to a crowd especially when you can't lay hands on anybody you you are the ones that need to make connection with heaven so i'd like us all to stand right now let's get intentional about this shall we say all right lord i want more than just a little top up i want to go for it here i want your presence to come into this room and begin to heal people around me and even heal me the message of jesus in john and so matthew chapter 4 was this the kingdom of heaven is at hand john the baptist said the same thing repent for the kingdom of heaven as it had and that's what i want all of us to do let's just let's just repent for a moment you know the word really means stop the way you're going and thinking turn around and head towards god so you're going your own way stop that and turn around and head for the things of god turn around come on back if you are involved in sin and stuff like that going on just begin to repent say lord i am so sorry i want clean hands and a pure heart tonight i really do and if you need to forgive somebody because they hurt you or said this or that or cheated you or lied about you or whatever they did i want you to give them a gift that they don't deserve just like jesus has done that with you and eyes given us a gift we don't deserve say lord i i choose to forgive that person who said this and did that and didn't do the other and i also forgive myself for not doing this or doing the other forgive yourself and if you blamed god for goodness sake realize that god has never ever sinned against anybody you're blaming the wrong one take it back and make it right and just clear the air right here and take one giant step from what's right and fair up into the grace of the lord jesus christ up we go into grace which is where the river flows fritz do it with me just where you stand step up by faith into grace now we're going to do what he said the kingdom of heaven is within your reach so your little step of faith is to reach for it so just be like a five-year-old for a moment and don't analyze it until later we're just gonna do it together by faith reach for that invisible kingdom of heaven you know there's no sickness in heaven there's no pain in heaven there's no shame no sorrow no regret we reach for that kingdom that wonderful thick oily presence of the holy spirit get it all over your hands by faith right now some of you are feeling it some of you your hands are just filled with fire some with electricity some with that waiting presence of the kabad presence of god the glory on you just enjoy that for a moment and then let your own hands be like an extension of the hands of jesus and bring them down and yes do this at home bring your own anointed hands down and laying them on your body where you have a need heads and shoulders knees and toes hearts heads eyes ears neck back feet knees whatever it is and say this little prayer that stephen i use so often this healing belongs to me say it this healing belongs to me because of what jesus has done at the whipping and at the cross i receive my healing now say it again i receive my healing now in the name of jesus as a free gift of his love now then just begin to check yourself if you had symptoms of pain or inability to to move uh just check it come on i'm having it thank you lord for healing me now i'm having my healing i want you to take it and begin to check it right now there's there's fire on somebody's head right here that fog is lifting i give you praise lord you're just going right into that that that brain that foggy thinking and breaking the power of it off of them in jesus mighty name lord i pray you open ears someone's had a concussion and you've suffered from that and that might be the same one that i just referred to but i break the shock and trauma of that concussion off of you and i call your your mind back to absolute soundness in the name of jesus um fire on those shoulders that were stiff and weren't moving lord let that just ease right now in the name of jesus christ i'm getting eyesight the lord touching eyesight lord just let those eyes come clear in jesus name someone's gets floaties a lot like little it seems like you're seeing these things floating around the lord's healing that it stops in jesus name right now in the name of in the name of jesus now then friends if you feel like we're getting somewhere with this and your pain is diminished or your mobility is increased i want you to wave your hand excitedly at me just wherever you are in the room just wave at me as we break into this quickly just wave excitedly so i can see where you're where you are there's there's two or three people way at the back wave excitedly check yourself yeah come on check yourself that's the one of the most important things to do when you launch out and begin to pray for people at work and neighbors and things like that is to after you prayed and felt the anointing going in you you must get them to check themselves because up until that moment they're not aware that anything has happened really they're kind of been listening to you and saying what you asked them to say but then when they start to check it they realize oh my goodness i actually think something has happened here so wave your hands if something has happened maybe you're just 20 better but listen 20 better is a good start and i'll tell you what we cannot heal you 20 if you went to the doctor and in 10 minutes you felt 20 better you would think that was a good visit wouldn't you but the lord's not just gonna leave you there he wants to go 30 40 50 60 70 100 that's where it's going and so i want you to act on where it starts and then we go from there now many of you are waving your hands steve can we bring them up those people that waved your hands and said something is happening to me i want you to just run up here to the front and come on over onto your left side to pastor steve here and we'll just find out how you doing we're going to pray for you more because i want you to come all the way right through in jesus name [Applause] right come on up here yeah you could do it just down from down there steve or whatever you want lights are better up here michael michael my goodness come on okay i was a couple days ago my my hands started to just freeze up get stiff and i was in so much pain yesterday i couldn't hold a coffee cup and actually hurt to type this afternoon and i just felt like i had to get here and get into this atmosphere and now my hands are loosened up and i have no pain and like look you're ready to type so i'm going to completely heal there's no pain whatsoever and i could i like it really when i was typing in here putting my phone number in it hurt on his finger just to touch the screen so now can i use you to just make one more point because see what often happens is you go in the glory of it for a couple of days but then all of a sudden it can try to return and that's where i want you to be on guard because if that happens i don't want you to start fighting the devil and saying don't worry devil because it's almost like you believe that he could take it from you don't put faith in him just say no we're not we're not giving this up jesus healed me and i'm keeping my healing but then very important just kind of take one step back into the same presence of the anointing that healed you in the first place and i find that it's just so helpful to people when they get something so come on out here a minute michael just practice if anything goes wrong within the next day or say nope i'm not i'm not giving this up i'm keeping my healing then you just take like one step backwards but by faith step into the presence of the lord got it that does belong to you in jesus name stretch your hands toward him and bless him father let the glory of god come upon michael thank you so much dear friend michael head over that way yeah come on up here sir yeah well good to see you we'll have people more in the middle what's happened to you young man what's your name alden alden what happened to you in 2014 i got into an accident and oh i think and the right side of my back sometimes it would get really stiff and it would hurt and last year my knee started hurting me when i started going jogging i don't know where it came from but the past two nights it's just been bothering me and even though it hasn't been bothering me much today i just feel really loose and really light and i don't feel any stiffness at all so i just is there any pain in there at all not at all give jesus a great big thank you oh come on lord just let fire come on him in the mighty name of jesus thank you so much alvin come on yeah take your mask off what's your name so i was having some uh minor pain in my neck and and turning to the right and it's like fully free now so it just happened here i mean it's been bothering me for about three weeks so amen praise god come on isn't that amazing hallelujah he is the same yesterday today forever amen come on jesus your healer your king give him a big hand [Applause] sir you can take your mask off what's your name and what happened my name's glenn you might not remember me uh from ottawa a few weeks ago okay and carol prayed for my ankle i vaguely did are you from the ottawa church or ottawa region there yeah i'm from perth perth right but i go through to catch the fire in canada so yeah carol prayed for me and it was good for a day or two or three but you know it's bad arthritis from a bad car accident back in scotland about 24 years ago and uh it got worse it came back tonight yeah reach down well there's a little bit there but it's an awful lot better i also had a lot of stiffness in my shoulder for the last few days driving you know on and driving here this afternoon ah man so reached over and it's kind of eased up as well so it's still maybe there but i think you know it's like you say you've got to press in press it and press it now listen the kingdom of heaven is just within your reach not just when you're in a meeting any day any time any place so why don't you do it again reach up with your i mean really passionately reach out yeah grab a hold of a handful of heaven grab it pull it down now rub it into that shoulder and say pain go go and say i forgive the guy who caused that bad accident years ago that was me i forgive me that was me say lord i forgive myself lord father i forgive myself for not being more careful that day for not being more careful have mercy on me have mercy on me heal me now shall we now totally in the name of jesus in the name of jesus and by the way i read your book every day in the bathroom in the bathroom there you go check your shoulder for me on sale and find her find her bookshops friends when john just prayed that like i'm i'm getting a view of his face and when he just said the forgiveness prayer like your your countenance just changed so how's your shoulder now check it well how's your foot that little bit there's still a little bit there [Laughter] if there was five percent there ten percent there a minute ago there's five percent do that again fire on that foot come on stretch your hands toward him send the anointing up here and finish this guy off so we can do the next one fire on that foot and that shoulder in the mighty name of jesus so here's my question i can i can receive it and the pain goes and and uh you know john wimber when i had the accident there there was a guy uh mahesh chafter yeah and he prayed and i got fantastic healing it was an amazing experience i was in a queue on the stage and my hesh was way over there and it came my turn and he just kind of looked at me and the next thing i'm on the floor he didn't even come up to me and i opened my eyes and i still have the cast on and the crutches and he's waving a handkerchief over the cast at the break and it felt like there was a hot hair dryer blasting up inside the cast and then he just walked away and the doctor the sergeant at the time they were going to remove my uh ankle my foot from the ankle down really and that's all it's all healed up so that was mesh traffic but this ankle and the various things why does it come back is that my lack of faith why does it come back why do i need getting prayed for all the time i tell you we need to learn how to receive and how to how to keep the healing that's why i i said if ever it tries to come back don't fight the devil i want you to treat the devil like he's totally defeated because he is but he'll talk you out of it if he can so what i want you to say no i'm not losing my healing and you intentionally step back into that presence because that's what heals you it's not so matter of the words that we say so much as it is that presence of the holy spirit and a realization that when you reach for the kingdom you're doing what jesus said realizing the kingdom is within your reach it's at hand so that anointing is always available to you and do the best you can that's what i do yeah we have good doctors and good medical care and you know because it is not the will of god for us to be sick or have pain all right dr anthony wherever he is he was taking good care of carol and i just a couple of days ago but i want you to do that realize the kingdom is within my reach if that pain tries to come back reach up take another handful and keep putting it on and saying no and i'll say this it's easier to keep your healing than it is to get it in the first place generally god weeks i even been home because of my back for these last three days and i can move i can move i can bend down thank you thank you jesus thank you isn't he great yes he is this is jesus who loves you who's bringing this to you i know by the holy spirit thank you thank you father thank you for what you're doing to this precious one let heaven come down heavy on her right now in jesus mighty name let's all stand friends i think we need to do this one more time you know something the holy spirit will do this all night long if we will just stay with it and do it stretch up your hands to heaven by faith put them into that invisible presence of the holy spirit and get that anointing all over you and ideally you just put them there until you feel it when i put my hand up there i feel the electricity of his presence and i love that and god wants you to feel it too you know why so that you can experience the power and know the reality now bring your own hands down and do the same thing lay them on your problem if you if you've got problems from head to toe then pick a spot and and and just make that statement this healing belongs to me it's already paid for jesus paid for your healing at the whipping and at the cross this healing belongs to me because of what jesus has done i receive my healing now say it out loud come on in the name of jesus now breathe it in and just take it it's there for you and by the way this will work better outside the church than it does in the church for some strange reason so when you see friends and and colleagues at work that are struggling with neck issues or this issue or that issue or the other just just go up to them and say hey are you struggling with something say this after me and lead them in that little prayer and then say then check it and they'll go how did you do that do you know what you say next oh that was jesus on the outside would you like him on the inside and then they say yes i would then you lead them in another little prayer just like pastor steve did at the beginning of the meeting or after the worship i should say oh my goodness i'm going to ask you to just get with your family group i was just going to say that john and pray one for another will you do that just get with your friend your spouse the person that you came with that you're safe with and just come into agreement and say you know what i'm going to ask god for divine appointments all next week at work and i i want to i want to see his kingdom come and his will be done on earth just as it is in heaven and you will be amazed at the miracles that he does through little old you pastor thief yeah so those of you that that need a healing and you came like there's somebody sitting right beside you that you came with in the same car uh live in the same house with just put your hand on them right now you're allowed to do that you're allowed to push you're allowed to say spirit of god my friend needs a breakthrough i'll be the hands of jesus tonight and so daddy we're blessing everyone that's in the room those of you at home the same thing just find your friend find your spouse find your kids find your grandma find your you know your uh roommate whoever it is that's that's there with you and just ask them because you're probably watching your roommate may not be watching say come on over here put your hand on my shoulder ministering to your friend it's the good part of coming to a meeting like this with a friend is the rules are that everyone in the same little bubble gets to uh connect with each other and push in our target and 6 o'clock until midnight tomorrow is a worship night pushing into the holy spirit and want to welcome you you don't have to be here right at six you can come at seven eight nine ten whatever you head home whenever you need to do that uh sandra and i are planning to be here the whole time and then sunday morning is a repeat uh it's a 90 minute meeting ish and we start at nine o'clock and murray now smith who are the leaders of catch the far raleigh uh are going to be here for us they're going to be here tomorrow night as well part of the team is going to be pushing in but murray and ash are going to lead a flow time so there's no planned sermon on sunday it's worship push going deeper is a sunday morning nine o'clock and then again at 11 15. so church family thank you
