precious name Amen and amen praise God today we're looking at the indwelling spirit residence and permanence the indwelling spirit residence and permanence you know that's why we stopped history so just read for us John 14 16 and 17 and I will pray the father and he will give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever even the Spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not neither knoweth him but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you we have seen that the promise of the Spirit in the four Gospels pointed to residence and permanence thus in the Epistle the spirit within was the focal point from which the giving of the spirit and our reception of the same is explained the spirit within that's a focal point in the epistles so 1st Corinthians 3:16 know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you the Spirit of God dwell it dwelleth in you every believer has the indwelling of the Spirit read for me first Corinthians 6:19 what know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you which ye have of God and ye are not your own the word temple is used to describe where 112 was growing up was taught in Sunday school and after that you know it was just something we're familiar with and then going on social media these days you see there's something that people make mockery of because you know being that the world is more should I see more exposed or more interconnected through the internet people instead of seeing that as an opportunity to respect or to grow in knowledge as believers they see it as an opportunity to act smart with the information that they've had growing up as believers so sometimes you see uh that being the temple of God people don't realize that apart from the Holy Spirit dwelling in you or God Himself dwelling in you it means that you are a representative or an ambassador or the very image I should say of Christ Himself it's like when you see a bank you already know what goes on in there if there's some practices that you were doing your house that you can't do it a bank just because you know it's a bank it has its rules its regulations same thing with the church or a mosque or whatever kind of institutional building we are the embodiment of Christ and apart from Christ living in us we have to realize that what we do is what people see as Christ doing because if we don't give the right image it gives people an opening to mock or to laugh at what we a hailing or what we represent which is Christ because many believers or many people around us and we interact dealing with people who are not born again so we are the number one channel or the number one contact that they have with Christ so we have to be careful how we present Christ or how we say things how we do things not that you put yourself in bondage or tie yourself down or you act like yourself again that's not it being aware is you have to be responsible with the information or with the person that you represent or the information that you put out there through your words through your actions through your behavior even if you make mistake it's okay to say oh I apologize this is not how we're supposed to go you know being human you can't slip up there's no how it's all supposed to go I'm going to rectify it or I'm sorry this is how I've fixed it you even just things like that it shows that we are aware we're conscious of who we are and who we are representing because even though Christ being in us is is perfection coming into imperfection to make it perfect we have to do our best to make sure it and this is not by our own willpower but we have to be that consciousness must be in us all the time so that when we want to speak about Christ to someone else we wouldn't have devalued ourselves too much in their eyes to the point where they don't even listen to you anymore and they don't even take it seriously they even you yourself the thing did not change you what do you want to come and say to me now that will be different we have to be aware that we have that responsibility so being the temple of God is not just a title it's a responsibility that the believer must be aware of and must must act in that responsibility all the time I'm saying this because I'm sure a lot of young people watching on social media Twitter and Instagram on Facebook people mocking the concept of being the temple of God you know we have to be aware that it's not something that just because people are laughing at it or making jokes with it we should join in we ought to stand against it and instead be the responsible ambassadors that we have been called to be right and that becomes easy when you keep looking into the perfect yeah but yeah when you stay and you put your gaze on the world you put your gaze on the world which is Christ yeah it's not use troubling to others know you're struggling to be if Christ in you yeah manifesting his life yeah it's he walking in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure you know second Corinthians 3:18 says we all with open face beholding the glory of God as in a mirror as in a glass as you are looking we are changed from glory to glory even as by the Spirit so if what were looking is right the Spirit does the chain if what you're looking is wrong this video to enchained order to act out that life you have to keep looking you have to keep looking until it changes you it's not you that will affect the change the Spirit in you works that change through you yeah the work is not in trying to be some innocent the work is in looking yeah nothing more a perfect law and yielding to the Holy See yeah through the word and the change takes place you thought yeah but you have to place a premium in value on what crisis don't you yes you must so much value and esteem it so that there's no social media popularity yeah oh no trying to be popular in the eyes of people that is as precious as what you are having yes that is you can dam whatever to stay with what you have because it's very valuable precious in your sight yeah you know you have understood that this is what you cannot do it out who you are in Christ Jesus very fundamental look at that same scripture again where we are just read Falls first John 3:24 and he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in him and he in him and hereby we know that he abideth in us by the spirit which he hath given us we know he abideth in us how by spirit which are giving us that's how we know the Holy Spirit is a guarantee of God permanently residing in the believer the Holy Spirit first John 4:13 hereby know we that we dwell in him and he in us because he had given us of his spirit this is how we know that we dwell in him and he dwells in us because he has given us his spirit I mean it's so clear yeah John a missing piece will explain the fact that God dwells and abides in us by the spirit which he has given us which was Jude 1 19 and 20 this be they who separate themselves sensual having not the spirit but the e beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost you beloved building up you build up your most holy faith it's like charging a battery it's like hooking up a battery to charge you build your eyes like an edifice higher and higher when you pray in the Holy Ghost so that even if it's a problem ahead of you when you start praying the Holy Ghost you grow so big and tall that the problem becomes significant in the presence of the believer who engages all the resources resources than at yours like praying in the Holy Spirit you know now Jude made a distinction between those who are sensual those are those not having the spirit from believers whom he calls belong he then instructs to build up our selves on our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost does the indwelling of the Spirit is a reality of the man in Christ that's our reality the Spirit has been given and by faith in the gospel he has received the spirit he has the spirit today and forever the indwelling of the Spirit implies that the spirit lives in you not as a temporary place of abode but as a permanent residence does it would be a misnomer for him to assume that is without the spirit at any you know the believer does he have a spirit problem because he's born of the Spirit he is full of the Spirit is in the spirit the indwelling is not a temporary or conditional one rather the believer has a spirit is in the spirit and the spirit lives in him yeah you know that it really like concerns me really when I see a lot of young people already from their young ages they're already praying father give me the spirit or asking for the spirit even after they have come into Christ and I see now that is because of a lack of knowledge of who they are what they have because they could be spending all that time of fervent prayer praying for more profitable things that align with what the scripture says rather than empty things that will avail to nothing because the Spirit is never left that's always been in you will always be in you from now until forever so we need people to really really reach out into should I say the campuses actually in secondary school they would have these pastors come to our school they'll hold a General Assembly and they would say all kinds of contradictory things or things that are not even in line with the bond again man every message will come and confuse you from the last thing you heard yeah you know so not everybody was privileged to hear the actual truth and stick with it and be able to discern what is right and what is wrong right I see those people they're so struggling with who they are or did God really leave me or my loon right now or maybe okay I have to confess and cry cry cry before God come back to me or something like that see if they're negotiating with God meanwhile on God's part his covenant is with Christ and Christ is in us that means his covenant with us is perfect as Christ is perfect in himself so we really need more of this message to reach young people as young as they can comprehend what's in this under the light of this world will break those holes of them and that will be released to come into the realities and their eyes be open to see this reality is the new home revelation knowledge you know just pray okay Heavenly Father we thank you we thank you Lord for this word for this eye-opening word and we speak Lord to every young person grown person that has been confused by mixed messages by confused messages wrong teaching that in their spirits Lord they will know that they are accepted yes in Christ yes and that being accepted in Christ that there is no work there is no extra burden laid on them should perfect themselves in your eyes yes but that through Christ the Lord they are perfected now and forever yes and lord we speak their reality into them - they have heard this word they will realize that the spirits dwells in them and that it empowers them to live victoriously right the Lord every spirit of identity crisis every confusion wherever it's coming from that Lord you grant these people clarity in their minds that they will begin to see only the truth they will begin to see only that which you have set out for them through Christ the Lord this message will sink deep into their hearts and cause a change cause they change in them that Lord they will be able to go back to whatever confusion they were living in there are especially young people people in high school secondary schools Lord that people who are feeding them all kinds of mixture of information that messes them up for the rest of their lives from this moment receive a confidence receive assurances of who you are of who Christ is and of how that power empowers you for the rest of your own life that Lord that they will continue to tap into that resurrection power they will go to the life before and they will look for any external source they will remember that Christ is their source he is their life and he is their future thank you Lord for creating that atmosphere in their lives thank you for that clarity in the name of Jesus amen no we decree that veils fall off we rebuke everything that contrary sickness disease or pressure depression we break rules in the name of Jesus
