Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I am loving this show. The details are great- the 90s decor and fashion, the letters about personal debt, Chris Tarrant's smugness, the village pubs where all the shady business takes place, the shouty ITN executive. Brilliant.
After seeing quiz, this is amazing.
Every time I go to the supermarket Iβm listening our for every cough and the prize isnβt a million pounds.
The wife's cough seems fake. Whether its was a ruse to signal her husband is debatable but that cough was fake.
Some noteworthy tweets from the Major about the mix used on the WWTBAM show that was eventually broadcast...
The veracity of 'Tape G' is likely going to be the basis of their imminent appeal. Now that would be 'event television'!

It's surprising to me that they're broadcasting 'Quiz' on ITV - kudos to them for this story which in part questions the methods of their in-house production.
My only knowledge of this case was beforehand limited to their other in-house documentary that is mentioned in the show and which heavily is skewed against the contestant. Now I don't want to make any assumptions based on a dramatized version of the events but if the defense was portrait accurately I would have a difficult time judging that cheating was proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The strongest reason for doubt is in my opinion the fact that the evident 'tape G' was mixed by the show's producers. And now, on the eve of the last episode of the drama, the official Millionaire account present the "raw footage" (which is clearly edited, if nothing else with text and whatnot). We have no real way of knowing whether the sound mixing has been tuned or if they really are playing all their microphone recordings at the same volume all at once - something else that is needed for it to be considered raw footage.
I reckon the timing of this post is to capitalise on the event now that the drama might make it popular again, which is indeed a form of marketing for the programme, but I can't help but to wonder whether it is an attempt to further skew public opinion in their favour. Either way, and without forming opinion one way or the other, I mostly hope that this won't open up old wounds for the convicted now that they could wind back in the public sphere.
Donβt know what I think but there were other coughs like on a few wrong answers
Do you think he did it?
That video should be presented without opinion..
"This is the first cough of the evening" it wasn't, I had already heard 2 or more before that.
Not saying they're not guilty, just saying that video's captions can cause confirmation bias.
EDIT: watching the Craig David one again (just got to it) that's the biggest one for me. She's not at all subtle about it
