Chanterelle vs false Chanterelle Mushroom

we're lucky enough to have um a true chanterelle and a full strand thrill uh in a sort of 10 meters away from each other so just do a quick comparison of the two for you who are you anyone who's out there looking for chanterelles right now you can see on the top the true chanterelle it's got the same gradient of yellow all throughout sometimes that varies sometimes it gets a bit lighter towards the stem in the middle but on the full channel it's really obvious it gets a lot lighter on the rim of the of the cap there and darker in the center then underneath you can see the true chanterelle with its full scales on the chushan thrill and then the real gills on the false chanterelle there which are a lot straighter and a lot more gill-like and then if we open them up quickly you can see this is a bit of an older false strand thrill but it's inside it's definitely not white the true chanterelle should be a lot whiter and have a kind of glossy silky appearance and it's a lot fibrous a lot more fibrous but like chicken or a cheese string
