CELEBRITY BEYOND| Is FINE CUT STEAKHOUSE worth the cost?

we checked out the specialty dining restaurant fine cut Steakhouse on the celebrity Beyond let us show you what we had for dinner and let you know our opinion on whether we thought it was worth the money Come Along Gang welcome to Jackpot Adventures Fear less live more hey gang we are at fine cut Steakhouse on the celebrity Beyond and T we're going to see what they have as far as their Stakes um it's a specialty dining venue we did have to pay extra for this one so um we'll show you uh how our dinner goes and all the food that we get and we'll give you a little bit of our thoughts once we're done this is the port first want to give you a little tour of the restaurant itself we are walking into fine cut Steakhouse on Deck five from the AFT of the ship this is a specialty dining venue so Bob and I did pay an additional about $140 to eat at this restaurant on this specific night we did make this reservation after we were on the cruise ship so it was not something we had pre-planned as you can see the decor is very up to date it's a very beautiful venue we have great seating over by the windows we were fortunate enough to have an early reservation and they did seat us right by the window and it was spectacular then you also have these very unique booths that look like wine barrels and they actually Overlook the martini bar on Deck three so you still get to enjoy the vibe and the music from down below and enjoy your dinner for the night let's take an up close look at the menu we did dine here on the celebrity Apex in March of 2023 and it's now February of 2024 and it does not look like this menu has changed much at all so I don't think they swap items out all that often with the menu you are allowed multiple sides and multiple appetizers we chose to get two of each and with the main courses you are actually only allowed one if you want to go with an additional main course it is a $20 upch charge I was thinking I was going to do a surfing Turf but then changed my mind once we found out that it was going to cost us another $20 on top of the 140 we were already paying I just chose to get the lobster cocktail to kind of meet those Cravings of that surf and turf you'll know notice here down at the bottom you do see that $20 upcharge let's get started with the appetizers I chose the lobster cocktail as the first appetizer I ordered it is really pretty and then Bob chose the crab cake um we're not big Seafood eaters and boy the sucker was fishy so uh not our [Music] favorite then we jump into the wedge salad the bacon on this was is amazing look how thick it is and then Bob also got the lobster cocktail like I did um with my first appetizer for the main course I did get that filet minan with the truffle butter it was really good here's our sides the mushrooms the asparagus and the tater tots not the best and then Bob got the ribeye at the recommendation of our waiter we also got the macaroni and cheese probably the best side we had let's jump into that dessert menu of course you have the list of coffees and sweet wines here on the left hand side of the menu and then as you move to the right hand side of the menu you are going to see a list of all the desserts Bob and I each chose a dessert I ended up with the double chocolate brownie and Bob ended up with the New York cheesecake well here they are and Bo why did they not disappoint I love a good brownie and Bob loves a good cheesecake so both of these were amazing and uh something I definitely get again wow look at that H good stuff Bob approved okay now that you've seen what we had for dinner let me run through a few things and give you our opinion overall about fine cut Steakhouse first of all I want to talk about the atmosphere of the restaurant itself the atmosphere is great it was a beautiful restaurant the service was wonderful we were sitting right at the window so we were able to see the view of the port and we were also able to see sailway all of that was fantastic but let's get into presentation of the food the appetizers you saw them they were beautiful so was the desserts the main course nah but what can you do with a steak really can't dress it up a whole lot um and and then the sides they were average but um you know all in all presentation was pretty good and then let's get into the taste well we're not Seafood people we did venture out and try some of the seafood so the lobster cocktail actually was very good I did enjoy that and so did Bob um the crab cake it was extremely fishy and neither one of us are really into fish so that was a little bit offputting and then the wedge salad great big pieces of bacon that was pretty good but um all in all I would say for the appetizers i' give it probably about a seven and then when you get into the main course um both of our steaks were good um better than what we were getting in the main dining room and that was actually the reason why we ended up booking fine cut was because I wanted a thicker cut nicer steak so in those terms that's what we got it was a better cut of steak um had a good flavor it was cooked well um but it was also just kind of mediocre if you really ask me it's kind of equivalent to what I would get maybe at a steak local steakhouse one of the chain steak houses it didn't knock my socks off by any means um and then let's talk about the sides so we had the tater tots they didn't really look like tater tots if you see in the video they kind of almost look like cheese sticks I don't know but they were potatoes um very very Bland didn't have a lot of flavor uh nor did uh the mushrooms or the asparagus they were just pretty blah if you ask me now the macaroni and cheese did love that had a lot of flavor very good so I would recommend uh the macaroni and cheese if you're going to go get a side but then we get to the desserts those were great in presentation like I mentioned and both tasted very good I would recommend uh the desserts I do love a good brownie so all in all I would say that was it worth it it was $140 gang and we were getting pretty good food in the main dining room I don't know that I would do it again we did eat at fine cut steakhous on the Apex a year ago and kind of thought the same thing so after a second try I'm going to have to say that we probably will not go back to fine cut Steakhouse we will pick one of the other specialty dining venues to go to um if you're really really craving a steak um it's pretty good steak as far as uh in comparison to what you're getting in the main dining room for Stakes but
