David yeah what are you doing do you know what day it is I'll tell you I had an acid flashback I don't know where I am I'll pass it around our first guest is an Academy award-winning actress starring in a new film entitled No Reservations it opens on Friday here's the always lovely Catherine zeta-jones you joke Oh No let it go nice job Oh luckily is always envisioned I guess so vision have you met David Letterman uh yeah I've actually nice to see you ego thank you very much you look wonderful thank you how's your summer going some has been great well my well um I've been traveling around Europe and then um my kids have been with my parents in Wales getting your your will church oh yes oh yeah well yeah so yeah yeah you bring you bring the kids back there and do they love it they love it but I'm me and Michael not allowed to go there because they get spoiled rotten to take me to get them back to normal but that's okay you know I I try to instill the Welsh in my kids I mean I don't speak fluent Welsh but they know jingle bells and Welsh and they know what they're batty button that their belly buttons go to booga-booga yeah really well I never heard never heard they know oniy in Wales yeah and and is it what is Wales like is it connected to any other language is it own language is it a similar to anything the only thing is similar to is the French Breton language so if but that's that scottson right can you speak just a little so I can hear it here that's what I can do no no seriously speak just a little I'm proud to be well I'm proud to be well okay well is it a difficult to language a very difficult language lots of consonants and lots of it the words are very long so you would have no hope a lot of trouble at English and it boo-boo-boo-boo-boo that's cool yeah my kids if I'm late coming home from work I I call them and say when you're asleep mummy at Mama's gonna come in and kiss you boogly go no mom another book another book and sometimes you don't speak a photo people go I'm gonna be arrested yeah it's in their Bruegel's receive it's kind of cute though I think it's very cute how's your boo girl doing tonight I'm not kissing is it uneven uh-oh you spend most of your time as a family living on the island of Bermuda we are weary medians is that must be lovely must be exotic all right it's beautiful it's a little sticky right now but it's beautiful and it's just a McGrew outside all the time kids got the shoes off under in the water what I what I one of the things I know about Bermuda is excellent for snorkeling and scuba diving really great great sites actually Michael just got recertified which is rejuvenation scuba dirt as a scuba diver yeah let's no no me have you ever tried it well he's been begging me for ages to try it and I just know if I see anything I don't like that that mouthpiece is coming out I'm going up quick I'm gonna get the bends sick for the rest of my life if I see anything I don't like but I did give it a little go and you know just just to get the sense of feeding the tank on my back so I went in and the instructor was there and I was felt very professional I was you know doing the e-learning the sign language okay going up going down and and so I was like going around us a little stingray when I got I went over 20 the other side is a bit murky and then all of a sudden I thought all my ears were getting a bit funny so I said to my instructor mmm why not go and so I go I guess I go up and I feel a bit wobbly and I stand up and the ward is up to my chest I'm top heavy so I'm not stumbling over the rocks yeah I think this is not for me yeah I'm sure there's something else I could do to impress him yeah but you uh you play golf I know your husband plays golf you play golf with her but what about you you had me out here in stilettos and a little ketchup that's right yes I do remember that no oh yeah there was a or was I dreaming that uh but you did did you ever wager with your husband when you're playing golf just about actually play better that's what I'm betting oh is that right yeah he has some rules I think I think it's a it's a rule was we playing if he if he Jeff's a ball and it doesn't get over the woman's t he has to expose himself take his pants down what do you mean goody I take his pants down take his pants off off down to his ankles really need Underpants as well ten other men too really don't play with me yeah what happened once I mean we thought about paparazzi eight around so we had to go in the bushes I was Adam man you get those pants right off t ready the bushes god bless you we did it well what do you know well no reservations what is the title tell us everything or tell us nothing about the film you know it no reservation obviously it's um I play chef so that has the kitchen and the food the food thing in but also it's a wonderful romantic comedy drama d there's a wonderful story line that under under plays the whole the whole piece and I play a chef a kind of anal-retentive consumed chef who is only has control in the kitchen and has nothing else outside of life and she finds love or be with the child as well as a with a man so there's any good combination a chef who is actually anal retentive I don't know I tell you I don't like hearing those words together I don't even know what it means exactly but I don't I mean that thanks the edge chef the old appetite doesn't makes you sit up straight after that well sure good manners I dad you want to you and let's show the folks a clip here and tell us what it is we're going to say okay well I think it's them this is the she's a perfectionist so the customers are not allowed to even complain or question the perfection of her food and this customer has actually bought a stake back the second time and he's just crossed the line and she kind of flips did you ever work in a restaurant you ever work in a kitchen or do any waitresses only when I was researching this what did you do well I was in the kitchen at a professional kitchen and then they put me out in the floor to be a server which was an experience kept forgetting my lines and couldn't remember what the dessert was what you said it's lovely just order it uh-huh and the interesting thing is the interesting thing is I thought okay this is that the cat's gonna be out the bag before I know it it was like an hour until anyone kind of like noticed me because I had a new appreciation of how rude people can be really then looking at the menu I'm reciting you know in my best hands behind my back the specials they're not looking at me they're looking at the menu she was until an hour later somebody said to me has anyone ever told you look at that actress Catherine zeta-jones I said yeah I get all the time tries my boss crazy yeah alright now let's take a look here it's in the kitchen is that what it where it is I'm in the kitchen yes you're just about to go and give somebody ok here we go No Reservations opens on freddy guidance 7 again you wanted to know whether you've ever seen a rare steak what if your mind yeah this why I'm in here I'm so sorry I'll give you a table cloth ah no please let me take care about that well still do reservations it opens on Friday that were you actually did you have to rehearse the deal with the the tablecloth we did it we had loads of tables set up around the the set or like when I was not with you to bring a different camera setup I go around and I practice a heavy plastic I'll be like Frank sorry just me sorry and so a bit it is your a trick to it there is a trick and I don't know whether I could remember it now but it's just like no do not even think about it no hesitation just whip that thing off like you're a bullfighter goodie could I just do you mind if I just do one
