all right people catfish dave here title of this video is catfish in the city i'm in downtown chattanooga i'm kind of limited on bait i think i've got five skip jack and uh maybe we'll see some skip jack today maybe we won't either way let's go ahead and make it a day and get out here and catch some catfish i'm going to look at my tva lake info app and uh see what kind of water they're running today it says here chickamauga will be spilling until further notice that means they're running the floodgates that's an even better time to fish blow the dam do do [Music] first fish wasn't here too long catfish in the city [Music] i'm drifting the shallow side of this thing wearing about 10 foot of water the actual channel is on that side but these fish will be in the shallowest swiftest water hiding behind rocks and down in little dips as soon as we pass one of them little dips boom i'd say we're going to catch another one before the day's over with i would drift the deep side just for experimentation purposes but if it ain't broke why try to fix it a lot of people think you got to go to the country to go fishing but sometimes with these catfish the best places you can fish is right in the heart of a big city many big cities they've got major river systems flowing right through them chattanooga is one of those if you live in chattanooga tennessee and you're watching this video that catfish was for you so laughs [Music] this might be a pretty good fish it's hard to tell in this current he ain't a bad fish he ain't no giant but he's a good nice fish nice fish so oh yeah they fight hard in that current man not a bad fish in that hard current man [Music] if you fish in the big cities of america that catfish is for you [Music] wrapped up in my life [Music] i thought it was done [Music] we got [Music] pittsburgh pennsylvania saint louis kansas city this catfish is for you [Music] i can't catch too many because i don't have much bait skip jack i see skip jack i see him right there they are out there they are out there i got hit i got hit we taking a skipjack break real quick because i don't have much bait i ain't seen them pop all day and now i'm seeing them pop i don't know how much they want this spoon i go hell i got one they must want it some skip jack we got fresh bait yeah come to daddy come to daddy come to daddy get up here [Music] yes sir that's a good thing right there one reason i fish at the dams just to score some bait i got hit that quick he's on he is on he's on that quick my rod don't bend much because i broke about a foot off it it still works it still throws that foley spoon come on mr skipjack yes sir [Music] oh yeah they're popping everywhere this is great this is great we're gonna get fake yes sir we gonna get some bay they are popping everywhere just to my right the whole river channel just ate up with them i'm gonna get hit i just got hit i told you i was gonna get hit come on mr skipjack come on mr skipjack this is great gonna get me a catfish video and have bait let's make another come on mr skipjack come to catfish dave all right y'all we gotta head right over yonder real quick so i can knock this out [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow [Music] [Music] someone was telling me the other day they don't have many skip jack in chattanooga yeah yeah [Music] [Music] yes sir yes sir [Music] that's what we like to see right there well we will officially be leaving here with more bait than we came here with [Music] i thought it'd come off [Music] that line got slack and i thought he'd come off but he's still there [Music] so [Music] i don't have to turn that motor off the only way we're going to get it [Music] oh yes sir catfish in the city [Music] all right people the main river systems the biggest river systems in america the ohio the mississippi the missouri the tennessee just those rivers alone run through hundreds of towns and major cities and there's a whole lot more rivers than that that run through major cities run right through major towns you can be right under the city lights and getting you a bite you don't have to be in the country to catch fish long as that river runs to your town there's probably some catfish around got a couple bumping a couple drifting scorched some bait i keep waiting on this rain to hit so far it don't look like it's going to i do believe i'm going to run up river and score some more of these skip jack while they are easy to catch don't think you can't fish just because you live in the city they right here just about any time of year this is a video there was fish in the video that makes it a fishing video this is catfish dave with another one signing out
