Was That Really A Bite? End of day surprise!

[Music] all right people catfish Dave here it's June the 3rd I am taking advantage of a high water situation at Fort Loudoun Dam I have been pretty much washed out of all the places I wanted to fish normally on the channel through the bad current well now it's extreme current and typically I'm not a big person to fish at the dams but this time of year after everything has run up the river to spawn that kind of put some fish up here anyway and now with that much water flow coming out that's got to have some stuff pushed back into this kamar water here now I made a video here back in the winter we had hot water after a shad kill but I'm expecting this to possibly be a little better I hope it's hot last time was cold there supposed to be a sidewalk here and the sidewalks completely under there's some signs that are kind of under the water they might be able to hang me up in but I got my landing net and let's get it out here and see if we can take advantage of this high water flood state situation like I say every gate is running every flood gate is spilling and it's that way all the way up and down the river here so let's throw out some cuts Kipchak and get her down I usually run the bait clickers but on there's really no way I can set a hook with all these rocks on me and stuff here so I'm going to try to lock these rods down with a circle hook right in the rock because I'm not gonna be able to do much running back and hooks it like I normally do so I'm going to lock the reels down and find a place to set them in these rocks somewhere [Applause] [Music] [Music] they're the cast I wanted to because this wind is hard in my face right now oh man I try to get out the end of that wall and get it to start pulling me out closer to that swifter water I didn't get that cast taught you this win maybe they'll be active and farther up in here let's see [Music] [Music] I got a little deeper with that other one all we can do is give it a shot with what we got [Music] Levi just had a little bite on that one right there there wasn't much of a bike but it was a little by really tighten up right there that might be current doing that there's a strong backflow baby that's a fish [Applause] [Applause] [Music] I really believe that that bent the rod on both my Raj was just the current it's real wild out there now we got a backflow coming I'll play that backflow walked in a little farther and it's really strong when it does I believe that was car at manga's that rod was been and I finally reeled down on it like you were so close there just was nothing there so that's the current there's a lot of water going down the other side of this wall here like still doing it man that's current doing that even here back on the lock side we're getting some crazy currents yeah my line is getting off straight rods bending that's just current I never seen that much current on the lock side it is what it is you never know until you throw we'll find out soon though caused by dark I got to go looks like bikes but it's spirit I'm kind of glad I pulled in because I got a lot better cast the second time got a little closer towards the end of that wall now that was a bike that was a little bike right there that what no current that was some kind of small blue cat or channel kid that was definitely an actual bike small fish but what what we're after I can tell you that I want to see her bend over and just keep on bending all the way down to the tip hits the water I guess sums decided it's going to come to here I've never actually fished this lock when it opened and something comes through I don't know what's fixing to happen I don't know if my line is fixing to get all tangled up and get all crazy it could be a barge coming through here for all I know I wouldn't think so on a Sunday though [Applause] got a fish if that car is that current what is that I done that last time and I'll reel then on it and there what nothing there I [Applause] think that's currently I hope that it ain't no barge coming through here he'll take up the whole place [Music] [Applause] [Applause] boy if that's some current that is some good car [Applause] that oh boy off the bank he's throwing towards the boat and the boats throwing towards them these boaters nowadays are just super inconsiderate I'm surprised they didn't hang into my line it's 99% anytime if they come by me even though they see my rides out they cast anyway or they troll right over them or something just really stupid then they get surprised when we get hung together I'm gonna get my camera out get a picture I'm real quick black people that's a good-looking plot in I'm go ahead and get him back in the water I guess that was about man who knows what would have happened if I would have pulled him in and maybe put bait on my other rod oh well I ended up getting a good-sized flathead on video so either way this is a video that's a fish so that makes it a
