How project playtime died

so you've probably heard of project playtime for those who are unaware project playtime was a free spin-off title to the indie horror franchise poppy playtime but the game is started to take a fall from grace and it's starting to Fall Into Obscurity what do I mean by that well there are almost no new videos coming out about the game and I haven't seen a single gameplay video since the second major update so what happened how did this game rise fall rise again Fall Again rise for a third time and then tumble back down well that's what we're going to look into today so without further Ado let's get into it hi there my my name's Le Pierre and welcome to your job as a resource extraction specialist here's the job so first I should probably give the people unaware of what this game is an explanation released on December of 2022 project playtime was a spin-off title to the horror franchise poppy playtime it was a multiplayer game where seven people would join a server and one would be the monster and six other would go around solving these puzzle pillows to get toy Parts the objective of the player is to collect six toy pods and then deposit them and then pull this thing down and then run to the train and escape the objective of the monster is hunt down all the players and stop them from achieving their goal they do this by basically attacking you and then dumping you down to this giant pit where they make you play wacka wuggy endlessly if the player screws up or gets dumped down there three times they will be eliminated and go into spectating mode there are three monsters at the play's disposal Huggy mummy long legs and boxy boo who's a Jack In The Box monster who [Music] does some of the ways the player can avoid the monster while being chased is by swinging on these Hooks and shutting these big metal doors and hiding in lockers although the monster can hear you breathe so be sure to hold your breath but not for too long because if you run out of oxygen your breathing becomes much louder some of the natural abilities the player is given is rolling which gives you a small speed boost that's basically it the monsters on the other hand have much more deadly abilities hugy has the power of placing down mini Huggies which alert into your location and a charge attack which is where Huggy goes on all fours and then charges straight at you and insta kills [Music] you Mommy Long Legs has the power to see through walls and hang from the ceiling and shoot webs to slow you down oxy can do a Mega Jump and and can pull players back with his arm and if you crouch you can easily disguise yourself to sneak up behind unsuspecting victims the monsters also have the power to sabotage You by buying sabotages with these tickets you get from winning rounds but to cter this players were also able to buy perks with tickets which make the game easier there were also skins emotes and customizable clothing they even made a Huggy wuggy skin based off a character made up by the game Tunes Channel called Killy Willie uh but other than that this game was really broken when it released I couldn't play it until 2 weeks after it released because it kept on crashing but that's basically project play time now I think it's time to move on to the two major Updates this game has gotten mortality is the curse of the weak the fire that incinerates the flesh so after a few months the first of two major updates would happen the first one being the incineration update or Phase 2 2 which was the most awaited and hyped update it had the most teasers out of anything and it took me 10 minutes to download it only for it to crash upon loading into a game but to be fair this update was quite big not only did it add an entire new set of Cosmetics skins and emotes it also added a whole ass map and it wasn't just a whole map it was a whole highly detailed map with whole particle effects yeah this update was quite big oh and 2 months later the devs posted that they added an Anie Che to the game to stop hackers and not going to lie when I first saw this I said wait there were hackers because I had never encountered a hacker before when was this even an issue compassion is the discarded Gem of The Forsaken a relic of Innocence Left Behind like a misfit toy so this is the second out of the two major updates phase three forsaken this update was based entirely around the scrap toys on the franchise as displayed by by the new cosmetics and even this mommy longleg skin which is actually based off a real scrap design for mommy longlegs but this update did do a few unnecessary things like taking away the wacka wagy part in exchange for this however this update wasn't really as hyped as the last one we only having one trailer and that being the announcement trailer which is only half a minute long also this sort of came out of nowhere I wasn't expecting that but I saw some extreme lack of project playtime content even when this update released I think I saw super horror bro play it once and a few shorts creators made like one or two shorts about it but after that it went radar silent this is the part where I talk about how the game fell Into Obscurity so let's not waste any time let's talk about what you clicked or tapped on this video [Music] for so what actually happened to the game how did it just fall off well like any other game it doesn't really have much replayability and mob games didn't really updated because they were still working on the highly anticipated chapter 3 which looks amazing by the way but it was really popular upon release but by the time Phase 2 came out there were only like one to two videos made on it and when phase 3 came out I barely even saw one video made on it I couldn't even find any more than one short made by the shorts YouTube you could really tell the game was starting to die at this [Music] point so yeah long story short poppy play time multiplayer spin-off Rises and dies and is currently dead at the moment and when the next update comes out the cycle will probably repeat again and again and again until mob games decides oh we're getting tired of updating this game so let's finally get
