[Music] heyo spaghetto here and welcome back to doki doki blue skies now i know what you're thinking but spaghett you uploaded like three seconds ago why are you uploading again well that's because I have no self-control in my life is spiraling out of control but spaghett shouldn't you rest a little bit no we must play more because I want to keep get it I want to get to the end okay but i am i am recording this during the daytime so we're fine i'm not gonna fall asleep on you guys but my voice is very sore from last night so bear with me if it sounds a bit tired so anyways let's alright here we go alright another day passes and it's time for the club meeting already i've gotten a little more comfortable here over the past couple days entering the club room the usual scene greets me hi blue noodle hey say ori looks like you're in a good mood today i'm just still not used to you being in the club that's all is that so well it's nice to see you so cheery anyway what's new well I'm actually kind of hungry will you come with me to buy snack hmm I raised an eyebrow and say or he notices why are you looking at me like that that's because you're cute say ori that's why well say ori I have a nagging suspicion suspicion that you're only dragging me along because you don't have any money and you want me to buy you a snack what I would never do that oh really let's see your purse huh your purse let's see it um sorry laughs awkwardly she pulls out her purse she opens it dumps its contents onto the desk two small coins fall out tisk tisk this little ruse might have actually worked at Sarah and I pulled on me numerous times we were younger the amount of times she managed to trick me into buying her another ice cream I guess some things never change nice try say Orry no fair how'd you guess yeah now I wouldn't you like to know let's just call it intuition in response she sticks out her tongue at me typical ha ha ha Yuri suddenly giggles huh Oh huh I didn't notice she was East dropping her face is in a book as always uh uh I wasn't listening or anything I it was just something in my book Harry table you know let me borrow some money that's that's none of my business say Ari besides you should only buy what you can responsibly afford it's shameful to manipulate people and you're trying to into doing things or buying things for you Wow isn't that a little harsh I'm only messing around say Ari after all ah did I just I I didn't mean that that came out much harsher than I intended sorry I just well uh Yuri blush is an embarrassment looking away from us while playing with the strand of her hair it looks like she might be a bit ashamed of how she acted yesterday you know it's okay to be honest sometimes you shouldn't always keep things I bother you to yourself that's there's no way you could think that after you were right though I shouldn't trick people into buying me things funny how your ten-year-old self didn't see it that way you already let's I was a small laugh covering her mouth with her hand even the way she laughs is shy and proper it's this mischievous behavior something Sara used to display as a child then oh yes although back then I fell for it time and time again you wouldn't believe how much candy say you already managed to trick out and trick me out of oh don't make me don't make me out to be so much devious blue noodle although those candies were so good I'm surprised they re coming from you I guess there is a little devil inside all of us isn't that what's going on here oh nothing much say re here was just up to some mischief oh yeah she tried to trick me into buying her a snack hey that's not true Monica smiles wryly and turns to me I'm assuming this isn't the first time well you'd be right we all share a little chuckle up that well everyone accepts they or he does hey you guys are being really mean okay okay we're sorry but you did bring this upon yourself yeah I know by my defense I am really hungry well then Sookie chimes in if you're really that hungry you can have this if you want she offers up a giant cookie wrapped in plastic say re immediately snatches out of her hands thank you thank you thank you say or you hugs the cookie jeez just eat it see her he rapidly tears open the wrapper and takes a big bite oh good savory suddenly class her hands over her mouth I did my tongue man okay all right over just one cookie and Sookie takes a bit it takes a bite of her own cookie ah yours looks really good to netsuke can I try it geez beggars can't be choosers but you're it's just chocolate yeah why do you think it gave me that one fine still I'm really happy that you shared this one with me Sarah gets out of her seaton goes behind that tsuki and then wraps her arms around her ah geez I get it I get it cookie still in hand that Sookie reaches up in that sari off of her I ship it though um Sayuri suddenly you lean sound takes a bite and that Sookie's cookie huh mouthful say are your trots away to safety URI Monika and I laugh as well jeez you're such a kid sometimes Monica can you tell us they re to quit taking my stuff say are you know you shouldn't do something like that without permission Monica scold say re I know I know I'm sorry NAT Sookie but it was so good hey everyone but NAT Sookie chuckles these things happen a lot Monica a little too much to be honest but don't worry it's all in good fun good ponies teasing each other from time to time not stealing food Oh calm down it's not that big of a deal hmm that's you keep out sooner sheet everyone calms down and quickly returns their normal activities say Aria has already managed to eat the entire cookie now Sookie gets up and heads to the closet and URI artists already lost in her book I hear it sigh from the closet presumably not Sookie sounds like she's annoyed by something I approached her curious hey something wrong freakin Monica she loved my stuff again I spent all this time organizing my collection and she comes in and ruins it as she complains that Sookie carefully slides boxes in the stacks um books across the shelf once they're in an orderly fashion she turns around to face me do you have my manga oh yeah here let me get it I'll quickly retrieve the book netsuke lent me yesterday and I hand it to her she examines the cover and the pages looking for any sort of damage after finding nothing nothing she slides the knob into its rightful place in one of the boxes told you I take care of my manga yeah yeah do it again to your head you still need to pass the quiz before we can start the next one who said I wanted to start the next one you were serious what you thought I was joking here at the literature Club we take reading very seriously now sit down and get ready all right I say I'm gonna desk one that Sookie sits parallel for me alright first question which girl ends up falling down the stairs in chapter 7 I didn't really get that far the expression that comes over at Sookie's face honestly scares me a little she'd go kill us boss this is the end of the let's play we dead now finish the first volume is like the shortest one out of all of them I'm sorry I'm sorry I was working on my poem for most of the night so I didn't have time to read it that's appease expression and change changes from anger to disbelief your palm yeah I put some effort into it and Sookie's and that Sookie eyeballs me suspiciously before sighing fine I guess we can read it here by your poem better be really good yeah yeah I have little experience with writing in general much less poems so I fear that netsuke will only get angrier with me when she sees my lackluster writing abilities but that's a problem we'll deal with later right now I have to finish Volume one of parfait girls that Sookie heads to the closet to retrieve the novel once again she comes back manga in hand and points to the floor we're gonna sit here what why cuz it's a lot easier than trying to read in chairs that doesn't really make any sense just do it okay I need to argue over every little thing but I wasn't arguing I sawed myself short before I realized I'm probably getting on that Sookie's nerves if possible I'd like to try and avoid making her angry I mean alright oh whoa it's little misuki that's his down next to netsuke and she hands me the novel I flip open the part where I left off but Natsu he speaks up before I can begin he only got that far well I may have watched some anime last night too oh no we go get slap that tsuki furrows her eyebrows at me I quickly start reading as to avoid another scolding still does this have like an overarching plot of some sort our king sorry of course it does dummy what do you think I don't have any good taste I have standards you know hey I never said I didn't think you had good taste it's just nothing has really happened yet it's just one off side stories so far well it just helps you to get to know the characters like the chapter where they're at the shopping mall gives you a better idea of what each of the girls like and don't like huh that's interesting yet Sookie okay good to know you know there's an overarching plot but the first volume is more like an introduction to the characters I read the entire series so I do know what happens all right I guess I'll take your word for it but you sure do like this series don't you yeah it's one of my favorites I could see why it does have a lot of baking in it it does yeah coincidence I didn't start baking just because of this manga haha don't worry I believed you not well I guess that at least that explains that Sookie's interest in baking she is really good at it though so it's not like it's a bad thing we continue reading for a while before I reach the end of the novel as I closed the book Natsu netsuke snatches away from my hands and heads for the closet she places the novel in the trifle spot digs around for the second volume so did you enjoy it yeah I did actually I'm it's a bit slow right but if what you say is true and it'll start getting good in the second volume speaking of which that CQ proudly holds up the second volume oh gosh let's get started wait alright okay every okay Thank You Monica I almost called Monica a manga okay everyone it's time to share poems this isn't good timing if that isn't good timing then I don't know what is good Thank You Monica ah seriously we're about to get started on the second one well you can always read it tomorrow then can't you find that Sookie defeated puts her manga back in the closet and trees her poem I grabbed mine from my bag as well whom should I show my poem to first how about that Sookie since she seemed to really like it last night hmm oh she smiles she's smiling guys it's a miracle that Sookie reads a poem occasionally glancing up at me from the page you haven't done this before right oh is that an insult or a compliment no no I mean it's not what I expected from someone like you so I thought maybe you did this before well no never written poems before but why do you ask is it better than what you expected i grin smugly as that Sookie fumbles for her words it was better than yesterday's yeah but you just got lucky you would always be able to write something like this again but maybe if you learn from a pro your odds with success increase alright then let's see your poem read it and weep I don't get it I don't get why people will hate on good rhymes they act like it's dumb like it's a waste of their time I don't diss their free verse or deep subject tights be dark all you want just keep it in your gripes oh sure you can tell me if you have a problem just keep it constructive and things will be awesome I like I'd like you to know that our readers will differ there is no best style you smuggled glue-sniffer my opponents may be simple and often straightforward but charm could be found and then they set in such whimsy in order not all poems can be as complex as you'd like you think otherwise you can go take a hike what about kids or the elderly to some read for fun I guess unlike you let us just go and enjoy what is written you won't like it at all that much is given but gives things that but give things a chance you might find something nice just open your mind and that will suffice hmm I think that was directed towards a certain somebody with blue hair so what do you think I mean it's well written at least I'm not sure how to confront NAT Sookie about this but saying that she still holds a grudge from yesterday would be an understatement god forbid URI sees this poem well that's a given but yeah you could say that I was inspired oh gosh I really it really felt could pound out these lines poetry is an amazing emotional palette you know uh-huh anyway and I can't wait to show Gary this poem oh gosh wait hold on what at Sookie do you really think that showing her this poem is a good idea you're really going at her throat with this don't you think you should work out your issues with her yeah well she never tries to see things my way so why should I I think that's the wrong way to go about this relationships our two-way street both people have to work on getting things right why don't you try being the bigger person and just talk to her first know that she's not gonna try she's always just so preoccupied with looking complicated and it's clear that to me that she doesn't care if anyone can understand her including me but you can't understand her if you don't even try she might speak I'm she she might speak using more complex vocabulary and she may have mannerisms that seem strange to you but before what I have seen from the both of you she's more similar to you than you might think huh that's aren't you judging a book by it's cover right now well whatever you can't hold a grudge forever you know at least think of Monica and say Ari fine I won't show you read my palm are you happy I won't be happy until you try and talk to her she's not going to buy it NAT Sookie huh already to get it I'll try and talk to her sometime Thanks you're gonna do the club proud shut it but you know why we share similar writing style at least it's cool to talk to someone who well gets me I've been enjoying sharing with you this is so consider yourself lucky all right I will I'll be looking forward tomorrow it's the same here well that went interesting whom should I show my poem to next best girl oh I like this one blue noodle that's a nice feelings in it I'm glad but still though your tone makes it sound like you liked yesterday a poem a bit better I guess you caught me sometimes you know me a little too well for my own good well don't try to be nice about it I'm doing a bad job and I'd rather just hear it no no I still like this one I promise you know I wouldn't lie to you blue noodle never ever yeah I guess so what made yesterday it's poem so great compared to this one then sorry-sorry probably not the best person to get peed back from Monica once told me it's impossible to really read a poem because they're so subjective so I touch palms through my heart I guess I look for how the poem makes me feel I guess my heart just tells me I prefer yesterday's poem I can't really put my finger on it not very helpful I know sorry but I always enjoy reading your poems I sigh well at least some feedback is better than no feedback thanks I guess can I see your poem now sure bottles I pop off mice I pop off my scalp like a lid of a cookie jar it just it's the secret place where I keep all my dreams little balls of sunshine all rubbing together like bundles of kittens I reach inside with my thumb and forefinger to pluck one out it's warm and tingly but there's no time to waste I put it in a bottle to keep it safe and I put the bottle on the shelf with all the other bottles happy thoughts happy thoughts happy thoughts and bottles all in a row my collection makes me a lot of friends each bottle a starlight to make amends something my friends feel certain I feel certain way down comes a bottle to save the day night after night more dreams friend after friend more bottles deeper and deeper my fingers go like exploring a dark cave discovering the secrets hiding in the nooks and crannies digging and digging scraping and scraping I roll the dust off my bottle caps it doesn't feel like time elapsed my aunty shelf could use some more my friends look through my locked front door finally all done I opened up and in come my friends and then they come something in such a hurry do they want my bottles that much I frantically pulled them all from the Shelf aft one after the other holding the amount to each and every friend each and every bottle and every time I let one go it shatters against the tile between my feet happy thoughts happy thoughts happy thoughts and shards all over the floor they are supposed to be for my friends my friends who aren't smiling we're all shouting pleading something but all I hear is neck echo echo echo echo inside my head oh basically from what I'm gathering the gist of this poem is she's trying to give out as much of herself she can and in return she just feels empty and broken inside and that's something I used to do - I would overexert myself and try and help everybody but then over time I realized I was just an empty shell of who I was when all all the happiness and kindness and everything I gave out was just returned with the cold shoulder or people just being unkind and betraying me in the end so yeah it's that's relatable well I would say Ori I didn't expect this at all did you really write this of course I did remember I said I write the best poem ever yesterday well here it is after all Monica has taught me a lot and I have been really in touch with my feelings recently so that's what this poems about I suppose that that was much I suppose that much was obvious unlike Yuri's or Monica's poem say orys are relatively simple to figure out so uh if I have interpreted this correctly you're basically doing everything you can to keep your friends happy yeah you got it I really oh sorry I really enjoy writing this one just getting your thoughts out on paper and turning them into a poem it's like magic well I think it's amazing you should really be proud of it Thank You Blue noodle that means a lot I didn't think it was that good no it's great seriously I can't help but notice that the latter half the poem isn't quite as cheery in fact it's someone alarming a very dark contrast from what cheeriness I'm used to from say Ori although the although maybe I'm looking into this a little too much but the end of the poem is pretty dark and you said you've been in touch with your feelings recently so I'm just checking is everything okay of course silly I forgot to tell you I really really like writing about bittersweet stuff stuff that isn't happy you're just sad a mixture of the two and this poem shows what I mean it's just my writing style okay that makes sense I guess well either way I'm glad you're enjoying writing so much I hope you keep it up good to have a hobby of course and hopefully you'll stick with it so I look forward to seeing all the poems right in the future well no guarantees there but just from seeing the passion and say or his eyes it's hard to be pessimistic ha C or E is the best all right time to do URI all right let me take a look at your piece for today hmm I must say blue noodle I like this one well fair bit more than yesterday's even this early of skill is improving and remarkably really thanks URI that means a lot I know how much you care about this sort of thing huh it's really no trouble I know sometimes writing can be a daunting task but don't be so don't be too concerned with if things don't always work out pushing the boundaries in poetry can be a great thing metaphors might seem complicated sometimes but don't stress them too much well of course you might want to choose images that can capture the message you're trying to get across I think first things that come to mind are probably the clearest even if the metaphor doesn't seem to make sense you can force your reader to think about something they normally wouldn't that's when one way to truly enable your reader to see you into your mind it's a very intimate I see I think I might have to go with I'm I think I might give that a go with my next poem thank you for sharing that with me airy well if you'd like to see an example of that I've written something that captures that essence sure I'd love to take a look if it's something you've written that I'm sure it'll floor me URI smile shyly enhancing her poem whoa all right resist a whimsical tiny cerise friend sleeps along the amber bookend dreaming about this sovereign I don't know I have a trouble reading URIs handwriting sometimes day well misery can't read her handwriting sometimes lampposts play she beckons me her hand extends piercing people's readily a trend Azura channels bend and twist cautiously held above the wrists however she finds her advances shunned always crackling always stunned never able to draw the glance across my arms she's never danced perhaps it would be for the best if I laid her down to rest whilst I haven't given in to painful pleading from within I think that it might be smart to save a song of fumbling hearts last tears make me désolée fall and answer her violet virtue and call I don't know dang Yury be sad that we don't give her much attention hmm I felt to bilk it I felt a bit guilty after yesterday's occupants Sookie I wanted to experiment with my style a bit more hopefully it's not too confusing no no it's fine even if it's a bit more involved in yesterday's I still like it I'm noticing a lot more symbolism as well I don't want to assume anything but the tone of this poem I'm not trying to describe it yes I really wanted to test my abilities and creative expression I didn't go too far did I no no it's really good I just don't know if I'm good enough at this to deduce the meaning hmm I had to explain it I'd say it's about closely guarded secret I imagine everyone has a little something like that something there for us to keep to themselves for fear of ridicule it's nice to be able to write about that sort of thing every now and then but if it's something you enjoy doing shouldn't you write about it more oh well it's not that simple it's something I'm uncomfortable talking about I'm not sure people would understand if anyone were to find out about it well I guess as long as you're not hurting any one people shouldn't pry do you think so sorry I was just kind of thinking of something it's a good point though the best I can do is try and embrace my own weirdness right otherwise I think I'd hate myself sorry to keep you so long thank you for allowing me to ramble whom sure show my poem to next um HM I'm not sure okay fine here you go Monica hello Oh what the heck Monica there we go I didn't know you could do that mm-hmm hi again balloon noodle I'm trusting that the club's been doing new ball same yesterday hey that's nice to hear so how's the writing going alright I guess just alright hmm no I guess I should say that it's revolutionize my own world and brought color and my previous previously lifeless or life oh well I say that but the club if not the poetry really has made my days more interesting okay okay I can't it with the sarcasm mister at least you're not hating it though right no it's been it's been interesting experience at least gives me a new hobby to do I'm happy that you're applying yourself at least maybe soon you'll come up with a masterpiece I wouldn't count on that you never know want to share what you wrote for today sure here you go I gave my poem to Monica mm-hmm it's a nice poem blue noodle huh you think mm-hmm although I have to say it's a lot cuter than something I would have expected out of you mm I wonder why is that bad no no of course not it's just something that I would have thought that Sookie would write for instance she's a good writer so you should take that as a compliment I see I don't know I guess it's just I guess I was just saying this sort of cutesy mood or something hey you have a cute side as well oh well I that's great man that's not what I was trying to say I meant that I was thinking about more cheery stuff or something hey I get it but still if you ever read anything by she'll still have you ever read anything by shel silverstein he sounds familiar maybe when I was a kid my mom used to make um take me to the library when I was little so well he wrote a lot for children so I wouldn't be surprised if you did he's famous for using simple words and conversation tones to tell all sorts of stories his poems are a variety of different lengths and cover a range of different emotions they should they could be funny endearing sad even though most people think of him as the children's author and poet many of his works expressed his universal views of the world and he actually wrote this some black comedies as well so you could say that he was pretty good at subverting expectations hmm interesting so netsuke is kind of like that then you could say that she's not quite the Renaissance man and silverstein is but probably won't find much filler in her poems they may seem easy to read through on the surface but they can pack a lot of meaning in just a few words I see it's definitely a type of poem that's fun to explore but in the meantime you want to show me your poem now I think it's about time we let your poems shine it's your thing blue needle I like the way this one turned out so I hope you do too alright let's take a look pressurize this feeling it won't stop fast hollow emptiness crushing suppressing restraining boundless everlasting void an endless torment of suffocating vacuum this pressure won't stop relentless tireless forests stretching erasing restraining atmosphere Pascal tore like looking down from a mountaintop like looking for a reason from a real madhouse an endless poem of suffocating absence huh Monica are you ok like eat ever since I installed the mod you've seen a little bit off hmm it's even more abstract than the last one huh really or a free-form - if that's what you call it I guess that's just the way I write I'm sorry if you don't like it no I never said that it's just kind of thing I never really seen before I guess the other girls don't like this don't do this stuff normally as much as you do at least hmm yeah you could say that they're a bit more traditional when it comes to their structure but I kind of like playing with my space on the paper choosing where and how space your words can totally change the mood of a poem it's almost like magic the way I wrote the lines really sure it makes it feel like they're trying to speak over the noise if fragments everything and leaves the distant tone with the reader I see I guess there's a lot of things you do with poetry definitely poetry is very much an art form you're meant to craft poems using never-before-seen combinations of words um to interpret the world around you you really love poetry huh maybe you should write a poem about poetry someday that's not a bad idea anyway it's still hard for me to tell what your poem is about sometimes asking what the poems about isn't the right question a poem can be abstracted as a physical expression of a feeling or a conversation with the reader so putting it that way not every poem is about something anyway here's Monica's writing tip for the day are you ever to try to share your writing with your writing because you're afraid it's not that good now we all had experienced that at this point with the poetry discussions and all but it can be really disheartening to get a lukewarm response to something you put so much into have you find other people who enjoy writing though then sharing becomes a lot easier because instead of just telling you that your writing is good or okay or bad they'll want to focus more on everything that went into it and the things that you can work on it's much more encouraging that way and it makes you want to continue improvise improving sorry not improvising yeah it's tough definitely is more helpful getting real criticism and criticism and feedback rather than just empty words I guess I really hit the motherlode with the literature club the mother of ode that's my advice for the day thanks for listening Thank You Monica okay everyone we're all done with reading each other's poems right actually that's houki and I haven't shed yet oh I could feel a storm coming in URI hesitantly approaches nan Sookie who isn't meeting her eyes and considering that that Sookie's poem for today it's no wonder that she doesn't want to share a fury judging by Monica and say oh he's anxious expressions they seem to be thinking along the same lines as I am I could practically see that Sookie sweating pin balls meanwhile URI appears to be blissfully unaware of the situation I convinced on Sookie to reconcile with URI but if she sees the poem well it's all over so not Sookie if I may how about we do this tomorrow instead I matter of feeling well yeah okay well that's an abrupt thing everyone's gonna jump out that it's my time in the month I could practically seize Monica internally face-palming is that so I'm sorry you must be absolutely terrible if you can't even share your poem today you don't need to apologize it's not your fault I can definitely share tomorrow uh well if you aren't well enough to share your poem would you like to see mine I am wrote it thinking of our argument yesterday I suppose I wanted to show you that I'm more open-minded and I have appeared as a way of repenting I know it's not much but hopefully it can contribute to reconciliation between us although we may have our disagreements I consider you a friend and friends forgive each other I'm sorry if that's presumptuous of me to say no it's not presumptuous you just say that because I'd like to consider you a friend stuff like me you could say that you convinced me to practice adding more lyricism into my poetry that Sookie looks like she's speechless for once thanks Curie it's awesome there's no need to thank me put a thing on the poster says bring your own poems it's gonna be so cool junior you say or he puts a poster up pulls a poster out of a bag and holds it up for us to see are you don't tell me you started putting those up already uh well I did did you really think it's that bad if idea that's Sookie well you didn't even ask us before you started advertising we never agreed to stand up and pray of a bunch of random people and reformed our poems I agree if not Sookie I could never in my life do something like that imagining URI shaking her hands shaking in fear guys yes let's please calm down take a moment to think about it I understand that you two haven't had much experience sharing your poems out loud but I think we should try our best look around Monica motions to all of us jeez this is this is good so well you know it really is yeah we're all here because we have a passion for literature in this club don't you want to share that passion with other people to inspire them to pursue their inner writer yeah it's all about exploring yourself and trying new things all out having fun Monica and I nod our heads in agreement netsuke and Yuri on the other hand remain silent I guess that means it's my turn to say something I mean I don't think it's that much to ask as Monica said we're all here because we have care about the club and we want to see it flourish and if all that means is a two-minute poetry performance then I think we can manage say Orion Monica's face light up as I finished speaking hey we don't care about the club it's just do we really have to perform you know it's and you know how hard it is to get new members it's just because people are narrow-minded jerks they don't even give literature a chance who says the festival will be any different I'm inclined to agree with NAT Sookie I'm sorry Monica I know how much you want this but I just can't imagine performing in front of crowd of strangers well least Yuri netsuke a few and they can agree on something Monica sighs her eyes closed as she rubs her temples look guys I know you're anxious I understand that I really do to be honest with you I'm a little bit nervous myself ha ha ha after all it's my club so people are going to judge me most of our performance if it doesn't go well now Sookie if it makes you feel any better a few of my friends will be coming along they're lovely people they won't judge you for your tastes I known them for a few years trust me then Sookie Huff's turning away she doesn't look particularly convinced and URI I know it's scary thought but I thought about I thought of a way to ease you into it hmm why don't we start by practicing our poems to each other in the club Monica this is too sudden well if you can't recite your poems in front of the club then how do you expect to do it in front of strangers oh no no I'm still not buying it there's got to be something else we can do URI nods vigorously hidden at Sookie's for its anxiety written all over her face geez look guys no se re it's okay you guys really think we can do better than a poetry performance then I'll gladly go along with an alternative so any ideas an awkward silence fills the room we all glanced at each other anxiously before say re finally speaks up oh we could say our stops at least yourself for a moment wait no never mind that wouldn't work once again the room falls silent well then I guess we can't come up with something different after all huh huh huh Monica's laugh Monica laughs attempting to ease the tension in the room I know you guys may not be the most on board with this idea but I think it's our best option please guys please can you stop pressuring us I'm honestly surprised that Sookie's putting up such a resistance I knew she was a little hot-headed but even still I'm not pressuring you NAT Sookie both of them have raised their voice URI looks a little startled and say Ari it looks anxious to intervene guys please there's no need to get angry we can do can't we just discuss this normally Monica reflects on say always words looking a little ashamed of her outburst ah I'm sorry I didn't mean to raise my voice it's just this festival it's important to me that's all ever since I created this club I've always wanted to show other people that Sookie Yuri I imagine you were both a little apprehensive when blue n'l joined right after all he was an unfamiliar face she smiles warmly at me but look he's integrating really well she faces not Sookie I mean you two bonded over manga right and he asked you for recommendations from what I could gather you both share common interests hey it's not like we bonded or anything it was just nice to find someone else who likes manga that's all she shoots a look at Yuri geez of course how silly of me to forget anyway maybe some of these new members might also be manga enthusiasts who knows surely you'd like it you'd like to being able to share your passion with other people right now Sookie shrugs half-heartedly I suppose that'd be cool yeah Monica beams see that's exactly my mentality wanting to share things well you like with new people yeah yeah I know that it's just are there really no other ideas remember poetry performances are a big part of this club we want to show people what our meanings are really like no if we just give up if we just gave out posters or show them our poems in writing only it wouldn't really be a fair reflection and Sookie sees that there's no real way she's going to win this she grumbles something under her breath so what do you think guys for me for us fine I don't think this is a good idea but fine I'll do it just stop guilt-tripping me phew thanks dad Sookie what about you Yuri Yuri nervously glances at each of our expensive expectant faces pomona qey what if people start being inconsiderate and disturb us or laugh I'm not surprised Yuri is worried about this oh don't you worry if anyone steps out of line I'll put a swift stop to that Jesus turn glint in her eye sand I have to refresh the shiver I'm glad she's with us he really looks somewhat relieved but I'm but it's clear she's still worried she swallows and nods I suppose I don't really have a choice do I I shake my head okay I'll do it yeah that's everyone you're the best Yuri this club is seriously going to be the death of me oh please no not again oh goodness you'll be fine anyway let's move back onto the main event while we have time I want each you to choose a poem of yours and practice for signing it in front of each other you're eight netsuke exchanged uneasy glances but don't say anything don't worry I'll go first so everyone feels a little more comfortable can I go next uh-huh of course now let's see Monica flips through a notebook searching for a specific foam ah here we are a title this poem is the way they fly em Monica begins reciting her poem her clear confident voice fills the room her eyes move across the page and sync with her lips every word has the perfect amount of emotion put behind it making the poem almost come to life her inflection is extraordinary I'm impressed judging by a quick glance around me so is everyone else se or e ISM it looks amazed URI has an intense expression on her face that I don't understand even NAT Sookie wants our gratitude is replaced by aw finally Monica finishes her recitation the four of us applaud Monica takes a breath and smiles that was so good Monica thank you very much I was just hoping they'd set a good example are you guys are you ready next C or E yep C or E jumps up from her chair and takes Monica's place in the front of the room this poem is called how did you do it so easily Monica well try to imagine you're alone like you're reciting it to yourself it's your poem and so it'll come out best that way hmm oh I think I get it say all right nods to herself anyways this cult this poem is called my meadow say already begins reciting her poem it seems as if her soft voice is a perfect is a perfect match that's for the poem itself it's quite different compared to her other ones it's peaceful yet somber at the same time bittersweet you could call it hearing the poem and say re Weiss almost gives it an entirely new meaning I think this is what say Ori means what she says she likes my poems it's like seeing a whole new side of someone you thought you knew completely today oh he finishes we all we all applaud I did it you have a good job she already beams as well as and as well she walks back to her seat so who'd like to go next and that's Suki and Yuri and I all look at each other nervously I open my mouth but Yuri beats me to the punch I'll go here he rushes over the podium clutching her sheet of paper in her hands geez you're a good job this poem is called Yuri freezes as she looks up at us you can do it Gary it's called after image of a crimson eye Yuri begins her cider poem her voice is shaky at first but the more she reads the more confident she becomes it's similar to what happens when she gets absorbed in her books the shy yet apprehensive Yuri I'm used to is replaced by a fierce confident woman the poem itself is like a maze in its structure with twists and turns every line but Yuri is unfazed and enunciates each word with perfect timing this must be a rare glimpse into what whirling fire Yuri keeps concealed inside her head suddenly she's finished everyone is stunned Yuri snaps back into reality and glances around her as if she's bewildered even herself I it's up to me to save the situation I'm the first one to start applying everyone joins in afterwards and we gave Yuri a recognition she deserves it's now what we didn't want to applaud for it's just we were all so caught off guard we must have forgotten URI quickly rushes back to her seat as we applaud URI and I was really good thank you for sharing yes URIs done for the day so who'd like to go next that's Sookie why should I go before bloom it'll sound like I came to parent you guys anyway - I'll upload it'll lower everyone's expectations and standards before I go ish ha ha ha at Sookie Monica hastens the chastiser shooting me and sympathizing look that was kind of rude don't you think you should apologize a blue noodle that Sookie's face turns red as all the girls turn and look at her I decided spare netsuke from the embarrassment hey it's really no big deal I'll end up going at some point anyway you might as well do it now thing is I don't have much of a selection to choose from I'll just have to go with what I wrote for today I stand up and step up in front of the podium everyone has their eyes on me making me feel terribly awkward I take a deep breath and in my head I repeat to myself the advice Monica gaped saiary try to imagine yourself alone like you're reciting it to yourself huh ok we'll do Monica alone my house is the first thing that comes to my mind I think of being alone the scene rapidly develops in my head like I'm recalling an event or a recent memory I'm sitting alone at my desk and the dim light hanging from the ceiling gives me warmth until the room the front of me is the poem I just finished the ink from my pen still fresh on the page I pick up the notebook and begin reciting it out loud well I'm not most confident in it I still try to put energy into it I can almost hear my voice echoing off my bedroom walls as I finished the sound of applause pulls me out of my daydream I'm back in the club room standing at the podium while the girls politely applaud at my performance that was really good Lu noodle I guess oh don't be so hard on yourself I don't think you're writing it I don't think it's your writing abilities from proud of your lack of confidence that weighs you down that's something that I'll improve over time though so don't worry yeah okay thanks all right then let's just leaves you netsuke yeah yeah I'm going as she says this is Sookie begrudgingly gets out of her seat and makes her way to the podium this poem is called it's called because you're presenting she takes a moment to compose herself anyway this cup this pose called jump do-do-do-do do-do-do-do-do and I jump doot doot sorry I don't want to get copyright sorry nan suki takes breath well unenthusiastically her poem well unenthusiastic her poem has a surprising amount of energy to it it Ryan's the rhymes tie into each other seamlessly creating a flow of what the poem moves long in a brisk pace the words seem to bounce up up and down with the rhythm seemingly making them making the poem come to life it's dance Sookie's signature style and it works exceptionally well when I read it loud Rena huh when read out loud she quickly finishes in Huff's as she makes her way back to receipt while we applaud her that wasn't so bad was it she stares at her poem blankly for a second before replying easy for you to say you better not make me do that again um well that's what we're going to be doing it the festival so do you still at least feel confident enough to do it in front of a crowd yeah I guess I like there's any other choice and I guess it'll be easier doing it in front of other people I can just put on whatever face I want with strangers but when I'm with just my friends it's just embarrassing I still hate the idea of having to perform she mutters that last sentence under her breath the others probably didn't even hear that I knew netsuke was stubborn but this is a whole nother level however it does look like she's going along with the idea of performing for the festival well at least for now since she's basically outvoted and it can't come up with another idea anyway really that's a surprise for me it's the other way around having all those people looking at you judging you but I don't think that I don't like to think about it I can relate to that URI murmurs quietly the thought of so many eyes observing your every move all at once she trails off shaking her head well it's just how it is so that's Sookie sighs in frustration well I guess in that case you don't have much to worry about for the festival speaking of which I want you to all I want to thank you all for performing it might be difficult but now we have a general idea what it'll be like we'll all be able to practice make sure you pick out a poem and show it to me by tomorrow okay I'll need to know so I can make the pamphlets over the weekend hmm so tomorrow's Friday okay I should probably find a different poem to recite oh I almost forgot if you have your favorite poem if you have a favorite poem or poet you'd want to share with everyone and go ahead everything's welcome oh cool so it the game starts on Wednesday and then it goes to Thursday so Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday's festival so the demo is actually six days and we're almost halfway through it and once we finish Friday huh okay it's a long demo I prefer not reading my own poetry out loud whatever makes you comfortable blue noodle I'm already pleasantly surprised that you're putting in all this effort into the club and makes me really happy Monica smiles at me yeah no problem okay then I think that's about does it for today let's still try and write poems for tomorrow okay I know the festival is coming up but it's been working out nicely the past few days and I'd like to continue tomorrow we'll finalize what we're doing for the festival and then we'll have all weekend to prepare remember we have till Monday it'll be so much fun I can't wait we all stand up packing where things Monica's voice stops us oh man uh guys she need to make such a big deal out of it it must be a little nice though yeah I guess ah geez let's just go already say Orie okay the two of us begin to walk home a lot has changed in the past few days however today CRE being a little quieter than usual on the way home hey say Orie oh whoops drop something oopsy-daisy oh well sorry I was spacing out ah no wonder um I was thinking about something from earlier like how I get to I mean Sayuri fumbles with her words so let's just say that one day netsuke yest walk home with you huh what would you do what kind of question is that you're kind of putting me on the spot here well I would walk home with you say Orie because you're the best girl stay or II I walk with you of course say your pauses for a moment huh she glances at me from the side before turning away but she's so cute and fun to be around so are you geez why me her reply surprises me and I'm not sure how to answer or what she wants to hear alrighty see her in the club every day besides you're out you always seem to really like going home together I wouldn't want to ruin that for you you're so silly blue noodle she gives me a pain smile you think about me too much sometimes that Sookie would has her wit if she wanted to so Sayuri I've already made up my mind I really can't figure you out sometimes sorry besides like I said I enjoyed catching up with you again why would I just change that for another girl walking home with you and talking about just anything it's a great throwback she doesn't seem as happy as I'd imagined I mean both of our childhoods were pleasant strange hmm the conversation trails off it's kind of weird thing for say Ori to care so much about but I want to respect her and keep her happy to say Yuri and I part without saying another word I reached my house and open the door dang that was awkward I'm home no response I'm home alone as usual I mumble that part to myself talking to myself as if I'm the protagonist of a manga or a game I am might just be going stir-crazy hmm funny little fourth wall break there mom is still out on her business trip she's never home anymore I miss her but I don't blame her for anything it's hard enough providing for yourself let alone a kid since I'm alone I decided to make an instant meal for dinner they even hear my cabinets I find some old soup cups miso soup sounds good I draft the packaging pour in some water and place the meal in the microwave while it cooks my mind wanders back to my performance earlier that day dream was so vivid so realistic can I really pull off the performance again this time in front of a crowd it wasn't even that great in the first place just doing it in front of the girls was nerve-wracking guess I'm not really used to being around people again maybe that's it thinking about it I guess I've kind of been subconsciously isolating myself from people since the divorce before and even in some cases I wonder when I started shutting myself maybe that's part of why Sayuri and I drifted apart over the past few years it wasn't intentional or anything it just happened at least I don't think it was intentional but I'm glad I got to reckon wreckin reconnect with her in the literature Club it's giving me something to do something to look forward to that isn't in I'm or video games and I'm anime oh man when I was younger the longest time I always thought it was pronounced an I'm instead of anime cuz I never heard anyone say it out loud and most of my life until I was like 13 or 14 years old I always called it a nine so I consciously still do it sometimes because that's what I always thought it was talking with the girl isn't made me feel more appreciated it's a nice feeling some things but that's been missing from me ever since the divorce maybe that's why I say or he likes walking home with me it makes her feel appreciated sorry the more I think about it the more concerned for her I get she said some pretty weird stuff but I guess some people have their off days maybe she's just changed a little bit over the years pretty normal right I like to think I'd be able to tell if something was up with her although given our recent distance I'm not so sure I'm sure we've started talking again but there's a lot of lost time maybe that'll change and we'll go back to how we used to beep I hope then again the festival is only a few days away who knows what will happen in that time and time to write a poem my boys we gotta give it we got to make it perfect for say Orry ocean summer dang it misery yes broken precious party tears whirlwind Oh comfort dazzle contamination no it's not you that's our huh polite dang it hmm mindful swimsuit marriage Oh sailor he wants to get married okay failure Oh Monica thinks she's a
